"Haile, I've returned." Bourba's voice echoed through the spacious room. The Destroyer's home was large, but empty of material possessions, causing anyone's voice to become an ominous presence. "Meet me in the study, there are some things we need to discuss." Bourba always hated the way the house sounded, so empty. On two occasions, the Attendant decided to hang a decorative painting in the hall, which was quickly obliterated by her Destroyer.
As the Attendant walked towards the study, the only sound that could be heard were their soft footsteps. The eerie silence did little to dampen the echo of Bourba's movements.
Once near her office, the Attendant could hear a distinct noise. The sound of crying caused his brow to raise, quickly racing to find the source.
Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time Bourba heard strange noises like these. Most of the time, the noise would cease before she had a chance to find it. This time however, a mighty cry was let out. The sound was coming from below the Attendant. Rushing to the basement, Bourba's eyes slowly took in the scene that lay before her.
Blood stained the concrete floor. There were dry pools spattered across the gray floor, nearly the entire surface was covered in the stuff. Bodies scattered across the perimeter of the small space. In the middle swung a single light.
Underneath the light was a man. His face was unrecognizable from all of the cuts and bruising. His shallow breaths were becoming slower and slower. Bourba noticed a wound bleeding profusely from the man's back. A furry, ebony appendage was tossed across the floor.
"Please…" The man whispered, looking towards the Attendant. "Please kill me… Just kill me… PLEASE!"
"Shhhh." A small voice came from the shadows, a bolt of lighting coming into contact with the man's arm.
"Bourba." An ice cold voice came from the left corner of the room. "You know I don't like being interrupted during play time."
"I know." The Attendant mentioned quietly, unable to look anywhere but the ceiling. "The Grand Minister had an emergency meeting with all Attendants. I have some things we need to discuss when the time is right. You may continue." Bourba attempts to leave as quickly as she could.
"Don't worry Bourba." A maniacal chuckle came from behind the man, the Destroyer was on the move.
"I'll be up shortly. This won't take much more time at all." Haile mentions as she begins walking towards the beaten Saiyan in the chair. The look of emptiness in his eyes brought nothing but joy to her heart. .
"You've been…. adequate, plaything." The Destroyer whispered sweetly,a small piece of destruction energy dangling from her fingertips. "It's time to be put to rest." She sang as her hand slowly came closer to the man's lips. Tears of joy were falling from his misshapen face.
Just as the hakai was centimeters from his tongue, the ball stilled. The man's eyes widened as he attempted to reach for it. He tried for several moments, to no avail. Each attempt and struggle brought it farther away from him.
"But only on my terms, not some silly monkeys." A laugh that would send chills down anyone's spine escaped Haile's mouth. The Saiyan below her began to beg once again. This one wasn't nearly as strong as the others. Haile searched the Planet for only the strongest Saiyans, this one was a little disappointing to her.
"I'll tell you what, Saiyan." Haile sweetly coos as she places an icy hand on her prey's face, feeling him flinch away. This brought a smile to the woman's face.
"As a special, one time deal, I'll allow you to use the rest of your strength to run away. I'll even give you a ten second head start." The cold smile Haile displayed did little to boost the Saiyan's confidence.
Running as fast as his legs would take him, the Saiyan attempted to leave the space. His body was on fire from the burning pain that flowed throughout his body. He thought his lungs were going to burst at the sudden exertion. As he reached the foot of the stairs, a sharp pain burst through the man's stomach, causing him to cough blood and bend his head, noticing a cobalt steel blade had been inserted into his stomach. The man cried out one last time, falling to his knees.
"Oops." A giggle came from behind the Saiyan. "It slipped right out of my hands. You were so close too, but I'm not going to let you get away that easily."
Haile smiled, gripping the handle of her Katana she created. Dragging the katana upwards, The woman effectively split the man in half. She watched as each side of his body fell, causing her to laugh before she kicked the body to the side with the rest.
Tossing the sword in the air, it disappeared without a trace. The Destroyer quickly made her way back up the stairs, not wanting to waste any time.
She found the door of her Attendant's office easily enough. Knocking on the door, she let herself in, seeing Bourba's pale face. "Oh don't be so soft on me." Haile exclaimed as she took a seat. "You've watched me destroy entire planets and galaxies before, what's a little torture in the basement, huh?"
"That's your job Haile." Bourba said with an icy glare. "To destroy planets to keep a balance in the Universe. It's not your place to pluck individuals from their homes and torture them."
"And what exactly would you tell the Grand Minister, Bourba?" Haile's icy glare caused the Attendant to freeze. "That you've been putting up with this behavior for centuries now? The punishment will be just as horrendous for you as it is for I. I know you don't wish to be obliterated by the Omni Kings. Such a terrible way for an angel to die."
Bourba shook her head, deciding to completely change the subject. "The Omni Kings have decided to hold a Tournament. Instead of it being beings from the Universe, the Grand Minister said they would like to see the Destroyer's and Attendants fighting alongside each other. Killing is forbidden, the way you win is basically knocking an opponent out of the ring. You can knock them unconscious and drag them to the edge as well."
"What in the world gave the Omni King's that idea?" Haile curiously asked. "The Grand Zeno's have gotten soft in their old age."
"I'm not sure." The Attendant admits as she pulls out her staff. Showing an image to her Destroyer. "I think it had something to do with this man." The image before the duo was none other than Goku, sporting his orange training gi.
"The Omni Kings call him Goku. Through some digging around, I found out his Destroyer calls him Kakarot." Bourba continued. "According to The Grand Minister, this man Goku was a Guard for the Omni Kings for some time. He was the being that gave the Omni Kings the idea for the Tournament of power held centuries ago. There have been a few more since, but after about 100 years, the Grand Zenos ceased their game.
"From what I heard, this Kakarot has been keeping the Omni Kings busy for the last millenia Recently he became the Attendant for Universe Six."
Haile took a good look at the image in front of them, something about that man sparked a fire in her that never existed. "Bourba… Is this man a Saiyan?"
"Yes, I believe so." The Attendant mentioned. "As is the Destroyer from Universe Six. From what I found out, the Destroyer from Universe Six was a Saiyan Prince. The two are from Planet Vegeta in Universe Seven. The Planet was wiped out by a creature named Frieza. These two were the only notable survivors of their race in Universe Seven. There is still a Planet of Saiyan's inhabiting Universe Six, which is why I suspect the Destroyer wanted to reside there.``
"What happened to this Frieza?" Haile asked curiously.
"He was killed by this Saiyan, Kakarot. Also by another man named Trunks." Bourba leans back in her chair. "He was resurrected by his teammates, but ultimately fell to the Saiyan's once again. He was granted permission to enter the First Tournament of Power, and the Destroyer of the Universe at the time granted him his life back once again, as a thank you for participating. After that, not much is seen of him."
The corners of Hailes' mouth began to twitch. "How disappointing. Someone bearing the Cold Name, being bested by a pair of damned apes." The Destroyer shook her head as she stepped closer to the image of Goku.
"Well this'll be a fun little game then, won't it?"
The Prince woke from his slumber, eyes shooting open quickly. Although Vegeta was wide awake, his body was unwilling to move from the comfort of the mattress. That was some crazy dream! The Destroyer began to think. Who were those people? Why were they torturing a Saiyan?
Lord Vegeta could feel his hands shaking, recalling the look in the fellow Destroyer's face. The look was almost familiar, it reminded the Prince looks Frieza would get when he took someone to 'train' with him.
The thought didn't sit well with him. The Destroyer felt unease and outright disgust as Haile's face burned itself into his thoughts. Deciding to replay the dream in his mind, the Prince wanted to get as many details as he could.
Not much could be seen in the beginning. Vegeta thought the perspective was his own for some time, until the female reached the base of the stairs and spoke. It was then he realized he was dreaming. Watching the way Haile tortured a fellow Saiyan made Vegeta feel sick. After all these years, the Prince didn't think he would run into anymore Frieza types. This one seemed even more vile and despicable than the Frieza they originally dealt with.
There always has to be a Frieza in our story, doesn't there? The Destroyer mused as he continued to examine his dream.
When the group reached the office, it was there Bourba began to speak about Vegeta himself. The evil way Haile looked at the picture of Goku made the Destroyer furious. The other Universe's Destroyer looked at his Attendant as though he were something to play with.
How did that Bourba woman know so much about us? Even mentioned details from our mortal lives. Vegetta knew Angel's had a vast knowledge on several subjects. It was strange to him however, that this particular Attendant had so much information on the duo. Did it come from the Grand Minister?
Did the Grand Minister know one of his Attendant's was being blackmailed?
Thought after thought began to race inside Vegeta's mind, making his head spin. It was unlike him to come unraveled in this manner. As he looked down at his hands, the Destroyer noticed them shaking once again.
Was that weapon made from his own energy? This thought began to plague the Destroyer more than others. Vegeta knew of one other person to perfect creating a weapon purely out of their energy. The battle nearly cost both Goku and Vegeta their lives. The only thing that saved them at that time was the Omni King, Zeno. After that battle, the Prince began toying with converting his energy into a weapon, with no luck. Since that day, Vegeta dropped the idea of mastering such a technique.
What kind of weapon would I yield? The Destroyer began to contemplate. Would it be a Scythe such as Goku Black, or more of a sword type of weapon?
Something of that magnitude would be a complete game changer for him.
Tossing the covers to the side, Vegeta quickly gets on one of his training suits. There was only one way to find out if he could wield a weapon made of his own energy, and that was to try until he mastered the technique. If someone else could harness such a power, so could Vegeta.
As the Destroyer made his way out of the bedroom, he noticed it was rather quiet. Seeing there was uneaten food on the table, Vegeta began to wonder where his Attendant ran off to. Taking a moment to sense the space around him, the Destroyer couldn't feel Goku's energy anywhere in this space. A spark of panic began to settle in Vegeta's chest. It was unlike his Attendant to leave without saying something. Leaving food also sparked alarm.
Looking towards the training space, Vegeta noticed it had changed once again. The white abyss looked nearly identical to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. The Destroyer walked toward the space, thinking of a way out. The last time Vegeta escaped this dimension, he found Goku's staff after nearly a week of searching. He didn't have that kind of time to waste.
Wait, if the Grand Minister can't even see into this dimension, there's no way some measly Destroyer could extract Kakarot from it. The Destroyer began to rationalize. Zeni and Zeno must have summoned him once again.
Closing his eyes, The Destroyer began to feel for any sort of energy radiating inside the space. The staff held such immense power, it had to give off an aura of some kind. It took several minutes before Vegeta was sure he was even looking in the right direction. Taking off in a full sprint, Lord Vegeta began heading for the direction of Goku's staff the second he sensed it.
