Chapter 4: Dirty Team Tricks
After Muray, won a silver in weightlifting an unexpected victory through capturing a cheater, the Cooper Gang was hoping they would catch a normal day of games, without catching criminals, an occasional misplay, but no crime. Luckily for Carmelita, this day was soccer, an event she was hoping for as she was a big fan of the South American Llamas, whom she hoped would get the gold they oughtly deserved, having gotten a silver 4 years ago losing to the undefeated European Dog team led by the great Rolf Shmecker, not that she had any disrespect for that team either. But first the Dogs had to beat the dirty playing Rat team of North America led by "Whiz" Rizzo.
The first game, of the Ratpacks versus the Dogs was just like their game 4 years ago with the scores being zero to zero, both teams making steals, passes, and shots, though on some occasions the rats played a foul, which led up to a penalty shot. All the while the commentator Mele made play by play
comments alongside Keen Hacksaw, both getting excited. It was all over when the Dogs made the final play in the last few seconds when Frank Weiner made a header to Hans Wulf who then bicycle kicked the ball into the goal that the goalie was unable to stop with the final score being Dogs 1, Ratpacks 0.
Afterwards, it was the main event game Dogs vs Llamas, the game dragged on until a little after halftime when both teams managed to score 2-2. The Llamas picked up their game, remembering their mistakes against the Dogs. The final moment happened when the ball was kicked high in the air by Hans of the Dogs that flew into their territory unintentionally, Rolf and another Llama Carlos Cabeza attempted to head the ball at the same time, resulting in both players getting stunned by the ball's impact. Seizing the opportunity, another llama player Felipe Corozon got the ball and then delivered a powerful kick sending the ball to one side of the goal post which then bounced into the net, giving the final score of 3-2.
The crowd went wild, especially for Carmelita who so wanted this moment to happen. Now she could go to bed happy, knowing her time finally got the respect they deserve. If only there were more days like this, the Gang and her would relax and enjoy themselves more.
Meanwhile at the 200 kilometer mark of the marathon, Rene and Kit were still holding the lead, but several paces behind the tiger that was tailing them just caught up a few strides, the race was fueling his aggressive instincts as he wanted to prove his worth. His eyes were glowing red as if he was drugged by something. Kit and Rene, had to maintain their focuses, hoping that their pursuer wasn't plotting any tricks…..
