Author's POV:
After the two women had their lunch break, they headed back to the office to finish up work for today. Aki was heading to her boss's office to give her paperwork, until she bumped into a guy and all her papers fell on the ground.
"Oh, I'm sorry." She looked up and saw a guy with reddish hair, side bang with a big swoop, and yellow eyes. He was also wearing an expensive looking dark grey suit.
'This guy has a dangerous aura. But, for some reason he seems so familiar.' Aki thought.
"That's quite alright. You need to be more careful." He kneeled down and gathered all her paperwork, and gave it to her.
"Thank you, again I'm so sorry Mr..."
"Please call me Divine. I'm the CEO of the Arcadia Movement and I was trying to find your director's office." The man said.
"I was actually heading there myself, I can take you there if you like?" Aki asked.
"I would love that."
Aki smiled and she took him to her boss's office. While she was looking up ahead, Divine couldn't help but stare at her and smirked he can tell by looking at her that she is strong compared to most individuals he came across unlike everyone else's her aura is more vibrant and overwhelming. Like she could be as powerful as him, but even more.
"Here we are." She knocked on the door.
"Come in." Her boss said. She opened the door and bowed.
"Sorry it to me long, sir. I ran into Mr. Divine on the way." She placed her finished paperwork on his desk.
"Hello, Mr. Divine! I hope my employee didn't cause you any trouble." He glared at Aki, but she ignored him like always. "My name is Kenton Shinto please have a seat." He smiled and Divine took a seat.
"You are dismissed." Kenton looked at Aki and she left.
"She was no trouble at all, she was very helpful." Divine said, smiling.
"I'm glad to here in this company we make sure our guests feel welcomed. Now what are the things you would like to discuss about your company?" Kenton asked.
Aki's POV:
"Hey, Mika! I just saw you walking with Divine, he pretty handsome don't you think?" Sara asked, giggling. Another thing about Sara, she can be boy crazy when it comes to attractive guys which makes me worry sometimes, especially when we go out.
"He's okay. He seems more like a creep to me." I said.
"You say that about most guys anyways. Watch once we go clubbing tonight you will find a hot guy to sweep you off your feet." Sara said with glee.
"If you say so." I sighed and started typing on the computer. "We just need to be careful tonight, who knows what type of people go to a club late at night."
"Don't worry so much everything will be fine. Speaking of tonight, I have the perfect dress for you when we go back to your place to get ready." Sara said, with a mischievous grin.
'This is going to be a long night for sure.'
~ 8:00 PM ~
~My place~
"Are you sure about this? What if I embarrass myself." I asked, straightening my hair. After we left work, I picked up Yuta from school and Sara's parents are babysitting him back at their place for tonight. I hate have to bother them, but they seems excited to have Yuta around.
I haven't seen my parents since I was Yuta's age, because of my powers scared them and I couldn't understand what was happening to me. So they sent me away without a second thought and I grew resentment towards them, if they saw me now they will only see a monster.
I'm always grateful that Sara's parents were so welcoming and they adore Yuta, like that was their grandson even. They treated me like one of their own and I'm glad I met Sara, she helped me a lot with Yuta she was like the older sister I've always wanted.
"Mika? Mika are you okay?"
"Oh, sorry I was in deep thought."
'But, I can never tell them about my secret. I can't risk it.'
"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked, finishing her makeup.
"No, besides we are suppose to have fun tonight." I smiled, putting on red lipstick.
"Oh I almost forgot about your dress." Sara smiled and she gave me a box with a red ribbon on it. "It was the last one and luckily it was your size! Go put it on!" Sara said.
"I don't know."
"It will be fine, just go try it on!" She smiled and shoved me in the bathroom.
Author's POV:
~ 9:00PM ~
"There is no way I'm wearing this!" Aki yelled through the bathroom, her face turning red from embarrassment. She looked at herself in the mirror and the dress Sara bought her stopped at her thighs, it was a black halter top cocktail dress. The dress was made out of leather and the straps were covered in black rhinestones.
It hugged her curves in the right places, but she felt naked considering the fact she is curvier than most girl especially since she had Yuta.
"Come on Mika, it's only for one night. You need to show off what you got anyways it'll be fine! Now, hurry up and let me see." Sara said from the room. She is wearing a yellow strapless thigh-length dress with crystals on the neckline, and white strap stilettos.
"...Fine." Aki sighed and opened the bathroom door, and Sara squealed with excitement.
"You look hot, Mika! I don't get why you think you're not, you are going to have men at the pawn of your hand!" Sara cheered. Aki turned bright red and Sara gave her some black wedges, with spikes on the straps.
"Here this will look great with your outfit." Sara gave Aki the shoes. "These should be way easier to walk in, I know you don't like wearing stilettos."
"Thanks, Sara." Aki smiled and put on the shoes.
"Now that your outfit is complete, it's time to hit the club!" Sara cheered and the girls finally went out.
~ At the club ~
"Wow, this place is enormous." Aki said in awe. There were light everywhere, a VIP section, full bar, stage, and etc. The club is called, "Starlight", and she can understand why they gave the club that name. It was like she was in a different world.
"Right, it was so hard for me to make it on the list at the last minute. But, this looks so worth it!" Sara said.
'She's right about that.'
"Come on let's get some drinks first." Sara suggested and the two girls went to the bar.
~ 10:30 PM at the bar ~
"Wow this is really good." Aki said and drank her red-eyes cocktail. "The public was right about this place having the best drinks."
"No kidding. You seem to be more relax than before, I'm glad you're having fun tonight." Sara said, drinking her whiskey highball.
"I am. Thanks for convincing you were right that I do need a break, and after we had a long day at work we deserved this." Aki said. After Divine left the building, the boss has been getting on everyone's asses about the plans for the Arcadia Movement collab.
Which means more work that needs to be done, Aki doesn't mind the job, but sometimes it can be overwhelming for her since it's the only job that was willing to accept her, since most people don't want to have a single mother to work with.
"True that, but you deserved this way more. Everyone in the building are always giving you such a hard time and you have Yuta to take care of as well." Her friend smiled.
"I guess you're right about that."
"Aren't I always. Now, let's go dance!" Sara grabbed Aki's arm and they went to the dancefloor.
Yusei's POV:
~ Almost midnight ~
I was walking inside the club with my disguise, so Aki won't recognize me. I can't believe after all these years I can finally see Aki, I hope she's doing well at least especially when Roko told me about her job and the fact she has a son.
Other thing of all the clubs she could of gone to, it was the one that I own. I come to Domino City all the time to check on things at the club like I do at the Satellite, but I never seen her around here. And then again, I doubt she would go out late at night all the time now that she has a son.
'Mine at that.'
I was about to head for the bar, until a saw a pair of spiky shoes and there was Aki dancing. I remembered she always loved to dance when she gets the chance, and I always enjoyed wrapped my arms around her. Seeing her now she looks so beautiful and exotic like a goddess.
"Hey Aki, there's a cute guy staring at me I'll catch up with you later!" Her friend said, and ran off.
"Wait, Sara!"
'Now is my chance.' I walked up to her and relaxed my breathing.
"Your friend seems energetic." I said behind her, which startled her. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you."
"No you're fine. Yeah she's always been that way, especially when there is a guy she's attracted too." Aki sighed and laughed a bit. I smiled a bit at her laugh, she always had the cutest laugh.
"Would you like to dance?" I asked her, holding my hand out.
"Are you sure? I mean I'm not the best dancer." She blushed a bit. I smiled a bit, even with my disguise I can still managed to her blushing without even trying. The way she was dancing, people would think she was an expert and she was so graceful with her movements as well.
"No need to lie, I saw the way you dance. Don't get all shy on me." I smiled and she blushed, and took my hand, and we started dancing together. I pulled her to my chest and l looked at her amber eyes and she looked at my brown contact eyes.
"What's your name?" I asked her, playing it off.
"It's A- I mean Mika. My name is Mika." She answered. "What's yours?"
"My name is Daiki." I said. "And, I would love to get to know more about you."
"I'm flattered, but you don't want to get caught up with someone like me around here." Aki said and I tried not to laugh, especially since she has no idea who's she's dancing with.
"What makes you say that?" I asked, genuinely curious.
Author's POV:
"I'm a single mother. I had my son when I was only eighteen and people here judge me because of that. I've been called whore, slut, and other colorful names." Aki said, trying to hold back her tears. Yusei on the other hand was hardly the type to get angry, but what he's hearing makes his blood boil.
'If only I was more involved and didn't used to treat Aki so badly, she wouldn't have ran away and live here.' He thought.
"I'm sorry, but there are plenty of other women out there. I would just be wasting your time." Aki said.
"I don't care about that." I said and she looked at me surprised. "Just because you have a child so young, that doesn't mean you should be treated that way. I want to get know you, even your son if you will let me." He said, holding her hands.
"Really? You're not just saying this sleep with me are you?" Aki asked, having her guard up.
"Of course not. You seem like a nice person and beautiful too." Which made Aki blush a bit. "I want us to get to know each other, honest." Yusei said.
"I do have to warn you my son, Yuta, can be a bit protective." Aki smiled and laughed a bit.
"I'm always ready for the challenge." Yusei smiled.
'For some strange odd reason, his aura seems so familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.' Aki thought, while they continued dancing.
'After all of this, I will take Aki and Yuta back to our home where we belong. This time I won't make the same mistakes I did.' Yusei thought determined.
