"Wait... you made the Impostors into what they are now?" Victor asked, trying to wrap his head around this revelation.

"Unfortunately, yes," Ayja replied, still casting her eyes down to the ground. "It all started millennia ago when we first domesticated the Impostors. Originally, we had bred them to be companion animals for us. We treated them just like how humans like you would typically treat their dogs and cats and other kinds of pets. Of course, we also bred these Impostors to help us with our jobs... especially when it came to war."

Anita looked at Ayja with intrigue. "Go on."

"You ever wondered how the Impostors got ahold of those suits that let them assume the form of anything they choose?"

Anita nodded. "For the longest time, I have."

"Well, we Mombis are the ones who originally invented those suits for them. We needed our Impostors to act as spies for us when there weren't enough Mombis around for espionage."

"I see..."

"At some point, they must've grown to resent us and how we viewed them as basically nothing more than pets, so they launched an all-out attack on us and killed many of the Mombis, including all the males. They even went so far as to terraform our original planet and turn it into a subzero world that can only support them and them alone."

Anita put a hand over her mouth in shock. "Oh my..."

"That's not all. The Impostors function much like bees do. First off, you have the workers, who are all female. They cooperate in nest building, food collection, and brood rearing. Then you have the drones. Their main function is to fertilize the virgin queen during her mating flight. Lastly, you have the queen herself. Her main job is just to make Impostor babies… lots of them."

Victor then decided to chime in. "Okay, okay, where are you going with this?"

"Victor," Anita firmly scolded.

Ayja held her hands up as if in self-defense. "Alright, I'll just cut right to the chase. Eventually, our original planet's underground caverns got too crowded for them, so they started swarming other planets and settling down in their underground caverns, including yours."

"Amazing that you even know all this," Anita said.

"An Impostor colony captured me once while I was exploring the caverns of a different planet," Ayja explained. "The leading drone there explained the whole history to me while trying to torture information out of me."

"Ah, I guess that makes sense."

"Anyway, we should prepare to get going. This planet's leading drone- I believe he's called Ultraviolet -he should be coming up to the surface any moment now. Quickly, let me brandish some handcuffs on you. It's more believable that way."

Anita wasn't quite sure how to respond to that, but decided to go along with it anyway. "Um... okay."

Several minutes later, Ayja, Victor, and Anita had made it down to the Kalidahn Impostors' lair 90 miles underground. For as long as possible, Ayja decided to keep up the ruse of being the Impostor who was currently imposting here back at I.C.E. headquarters. Admittedly, it was sort of weird that she even bothered doing this. Still, as long as Prit Stik was assuming her identity, Ayja was going to assume hers. For now, Ayja didn't need to worry too much, as Ultraviolet had already walked up to her to congratulate her again on capturing some humans.

"I have to admit, Prit Stik," Ultraviolet began to speak in Impostorese. "I wasn't sure I could trust you at first. In fact, it was actually Vacuum who suggested you do the infiltration. Now I can see why. You really outdid yourself."

Ayja smirked. "Thank you, sir. I bet Vacuum must have been happy I proved him right."

Victor and Anita had no idea who (or what) this Vacuum was, but they were sure Ayja would tell them later.

"So all I have to do now is bring the prisoners down to their cell and then I'll be on my way to continue the infiltration?" Ayja asked.

"That's right, Prit Stik," Ultraviolet replied. "It looks like you fully understand what's asked of you."

"Of course, sir. You want me to bring them down to their cell myself or...?"

"Of course you can. I'm fully convinced you're more than just an ordinary Impostor."

"Yes, of course." Ayja started walking off down to a cell with Victor and Anita both in tow. "I'll make absolute sure they known what's coming to them."

"I'm sure you will, Prit Stik. Just go."

Ayja nodded. "Alright, sir, I'll get going."

With that, Ayja was now down the corridor with prison cells on either side of her. Without any hesitation whatsoever, she slid open the door to the first cell she laid eyes on and pushed Victor and Anita forward into it, but not before throwing them a set of handcuff keys.

"Ding badoo!" Ayja yelled out while doing the traditional gesture that accompanied it.

Commander Ayja was now accompanying Jinjur and Ojo down at the Lanxangia Veterans' Memorial Hospital where Tyrmric was making a slow but steady recovery. Any moment now, Commander Ayja was going to hear back from Ultraviolet and get the instructions she needed to initiate the Kalidahn Impostors' replacement plot. Of course, she wasn't sure if she would hear anything back right away. In retrospect, Vacuum (one of the Kalidahn Impostor drones) seemed to have more faith in her completing her assignment than Ultraviolet did. Still, Commander Ayja wanted to do both Vacuum and Ultraviolet proud, regardless of how much effort she would have to put in to succeed.

"Everything alright, Commander?" Ojo asked his superior.

Commander Ayja shook away her thoughts. "Yes, of course. Apologies. I guess I'm just a little distracted."

"About what?"

Commander Ayja sighed. "You know how hard this job is for me?"

"Uh... no."

"Of course you don't. You have no idea how hard it is to put your superiors' needs before your own. You have no idea how stressful it is to make decisions that aren't as black and white as you would like to believe. You just don't know."

"Um, okay..."

"My point is, my job is very stressful. If you ever have to get to where I am now, you'll have to make sacrifices."

Ojo didn't respond to that, instead moving his attention towards talking with Jinjur about what had been happening lately. Commander Ayja couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. At least the two I.C.E. agents hadn't gotten suspicious.
