(AN: Hey guys! Sorry about that last chapter, It really wasn't my best work and I'm going to fix it once I finish with chapter five. I loved the feedback from all you guys and it really helped me write this chapter.)
"Izuku, just let me help you." Momo groaned as the injured boy swore that he could do it himself. She soon came to help him, shooing him away from the food that he was trying to make, almost burning it, his arms were still hurt and his hands were shaky. Before they had left class that day they went to Recovery Girl for the last session of healing he would need, granted it would take until overnight to fully heal. She had informed them that he would be a bit shaky for a few days but otherwise he would be fine.
"Momo, I can do it just fine!" He argued back miffed that she had basically inserted herself between him and the pan and had taken over.
"Let me take care of you for once!" She said and looked at him with a look that left no room for argument. "Plus," She leaned in close. "You love it when I take care of you, so don't hide it." She said while dragging a hand down his shirt feeling his chest and his abs, making him shiver.
"Damn straight I do." Before grabbing her hand and twirling her and dipping her lightly after a bit, making her laugh. "I think you fell for me fully now huh?" He said quietly in her ear causing her to blush, knowing that he was completely right. Not that she would ever tell him that he was completely right. He didn't need more ammunition now that she used one of his shirts to sleep in every night. No one would know about it but if they did she would die of embarrassment.
"Shut up." She said blushing brightly before he pulled her up so she could finish their food, as he sat down. "But you may be right." She remarked off handedly, and smiled behind a curtain of dark hair.
"Thanks Momo." He said coming behind her and hugging her, burying his face in her neck. Since he got blown up during the festival he had been more open with his displays of affection. He was affectionate before but now that his conscience seems to be clearer he's been almost on top of her 24/7, she didn't mind in the slightest but she would never tell him that in fear of giving him more ammunition to tease her with. He sighed contentedly and moved to grab the plates and utensils, while she pulled the pan off the heat. He set the plates down and she split the food between the two of them and carried them to the table, finally sitting down to eat after a day of finally doing nothing. She smiled seeing him moving around normally, for a day or so he hadn't wanted to do anything which was understandable. He didn't show it at the stadium but the minute they were alone he had told her how disappointed he felt in the loss, but knew he could make improvements. It was clear that he wanted to move but he kept himself under control so that he would actually be able to fully heal. "Damn we make some good food." He laughed after taking a few bites out of the food. He had been full of energy and she loved it, he was back to how he was before the USJ. They had talked about it so many times and every time she had to reassure him that she wasn't going to judge him for losing control.
"We do." She laughed and bumped shoulders with him, and leaned over to kiss his cheek, making him smile even wider.
"Man, who thought me flirting with you would have ended up with a rich girl with an attitude? One that cooks and keeps me in line when I need it." He remarks making her roll her eyes and shake her head.
"You should be grateful that I put up with you." She laughed and stood up, grabbing their plates, putting them in the sink, washing them quickly and letting them sit in the drying rack. "On another note, schools tomorrow." She said coming back and sitting next to him again, grabbing his hand and playing with his fingers. He groaned and leaned his head back, causing her to laugh loudly.
"I really hope All Might doesn't have combat practice, I'm still sore in places I didn't know I could be sore in." He groaned, he loved combat training but after the sports festival he really did not want to fight in any way shape or form.
"I could make you sore in places you know you have." She whispered into his ear causing him to jump and turn bright red.
"J-j-jesus christ." He stuttered while muttering, turning bright red, she finally got him to completely blush and shut down. He rubbed his neck and didn't know how to react to that, causing her to laugh.
"C'mon Izuku, let's get some sleep, okay?" She said still smiling which drew his attention right away. He loved that smile, he absolutely did. He nodded and stood up with her, going to her room. He waited outside for a few minutes as she changed, while waiting he sighed smiling up at the ceiling. He was so incredibly happy with how his relationship was going, they were almost inseparable. She was with him often and when they weren't, it was still okay. He trusted her with everything he had, he told her about his past and his doubts. She managed to pull him together and make him come back down to earth. She reminded him he was human, she reminded him it was okay to mess up sometimes and to feel frustrated. He was knocked out of his thoughts by Momo waving her hand in front of him, slightly concerned. "Are you okay?" She asked, pulling him into the room and to her giant bed. How did they get that into the room? No idea, did he care? Not at all.
"Just thinking of you." He said without a hint of joking in his voice, causing her to look at him weirdly. Almost as if asking him to explain why. "Just how good my life's been since we started to date." He said and rubbed the back of his neck while smiling at the ground. "You've helped me just be better." He said not sure if his words were making sense, but her kiss was a good enough reply.
"Well, I'm honored." She replied and pulled him to the bed before going to shut off the lights. "I've really enjoyed dating you too. It's actually been the best time of my life. You managed to bring out the best of me that I didn't know I had." She said, as he felt the bed dip slightly as she climbed into the bed next to him. He opened his arms and she pulled the covers over them as they lied in the bed just enjoying each other's company.
"I know we said we didn't want labels or anything like that, but I'd really like to call you my girlfriend." He said suddenly and pulled her slightly closer to him as he said it. She was shocked, he had said that he didn't mind having labels but now he wanted them, she may be shocked but she was happy too.
"Of course dummy." She said and leaned into his touch before pulling the blankets up over their shoulders. She rested her head on his well-built chest, and slowly felt herself drift off to sleep. "I love you." She muttered lighty and let her eyes relax.
"I love you more." He said as she drifted off to sleep, and he smiled. Even in the dark he knew she looked like an angel, he kissed her forehead and let himself drift off too. The only thought on his mind was how much he loved her.
Mr. Aizawa started class off quickly as soon as the last student arrived claiming that they would need all the time that they had today as they had multiple important matters to address. "First things first, good job at the sports festival over the weekend. You all put in massive amounts of effort to improve in a short time and it showed. Second, today you're going to be deciding on your hero names as later today there will be an important matter that will need you to have one. As I'm not suited to this type of thing, I've brought in Midnight to help you decide. Remember these are important, it will be what you are known for, for the rest of your career and possibly the rest of your lives. Now get to it." The irate man said as crawled into his sleeping bag and fell asleep, each student wondering how he was able to do that so fast.
"Alright! Like Aizawa said, it is important for your hero name to be recognizable and easy to remember. Take All Might for example. Simple, straight to the point, and takes himself into his account. Now I'm sure some of you have ideas already thought up! Use the whiteboards that the class president will hand out, write them down and present them!" Midnight said simply sitting in Aizawa's normal spot and waiting for people to bring up their ideas. Aoyama was the first to head up and everyone paled.
"Shining Hero:I Cannot Stop Twinkling will show that my twinkling cannot be beaten by anyone!" He said simply looking rather pleased with himself as Midnight rubbed her chin.
"It's rather lengthy so you should probably shorten it up. Drop the I and switch Cannot to Can't. You'll get… Can't Stop Twinkling. Easier to remember and personify you completely!" Midnight said, showing the others in the class ideas of how to determine their names. Ashido was up next, and her idea of Alien Queen was quickly shut down. "That's too scary! Think of something that sounds welcoming to the people who you'll be saving and helping while you're doing hero work!" Some of the other's names went rather quickly, as most of them had always thought of what to call themselves when they became heroes. Tsu came up with the name, Froppy: The Rainy Season hero, Uraraka became Uravity, Ojiro is Tailman, and Mineta actually came up with a great name: Grape Juice. Kaminari was up next and rubbed his neck embarrassed but when he revealed his name it was actually awesome.
"Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt." He said rubbing the back of his neck before looking at the silent class before Midoriya walked up and clapped him on the back.
"Dude, that's fantastic. That's actually great, like honestly man. No need to be embarrassed." Midoriya said as Kirshima, Jiro, Mina and Momo joined in agreement the rest of the class followed close behind them. The electric boy looked relieved and smiled at his friends, it was clear he was anxious about his hero name but it was the best name offered so far. Krishima came up next and smiled fondly at his board and explained why he picked this name.
"Red Riot. Crimson Riot is my favorite hero, he was always so manly and looked after the people he was saving." He said with a fond look as everyone nodded, they all looked up to heroes but all had different ones. "I want to continue on in his legacy if that makes sense and show that you can do anything as long as you have the mind and the will to do it." He said finally as Midnight gushed over the name and the reasoning behind why he chose it. In previous fashion Koda selected the Petting Hero: Anima, Sat became the Sweets Hero: Sugarman, and Shoji picked the Tentacle Hero: Tentacole. Jiro came up next and her earphone jacks were tangling together with her own nervousness almost enough to match Kaminari.
"Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack." She said as Kaminari looked like that was the best one he'd heard all day. "I had no idea what I was going to put in and I didn't always plan on becoming a hero when I was young, but this allowed me to tie back into the music part of my life that I really love." She said explaining her choice as everyone nodded. Midoriya nudged Kaminari to say something startling the boy into responding.
"Jiro, that's awesome! It's recognizable and it makes you sound really approachable! Plus it shows what you can do!" The blonde boy said as she blushed and her jacks became even more sporadic than earlier. She quickly sat down but smiled at Kaminari and mouthed a thank you. Said electric quirk user sent him a thumbs up and Midoriya smiled. After a few explanations it was Tokoyami who came up next.
"Jet Black Hero: Tsukuyomi." He said simply and nobody looked surprised but thought that it was a rather fitting name. As the raven headed boy was of few words he simply sat back down after Midnight gave her nod of permission and agreement. Suddenly Momo was up and looked embarrassed, and Midoriya knew why. She had been thinking of hero names since they knew each other and each one she didn't like until she ran up to him one day and explained that she found the best name.
"Everything Hero: Creati." He smiled hearing the name and knew that she loved the name. It was something that she was proud of, she didn't want his help in this and he had respected her wishes. She didn't tell him what it was and he knew it was because of just how good the name sounded and how well it fit her. Everyone clapped for her, and he did so extra loudly and smiled at her as she took her seat pleased with what she had come up with. Sero quickly decided his name; The Taping Hero: Cellophane and Hagakure was quick behind him with Stealth Hero: Invisible girl, Ashido finally deciding on a name chose Pinky, and everyone thought that it was fitting and she would definitely be recognizable.
"King Explosion Murder." Bakugou yelled after coming to the front, which Midnight had quickly shot down because it made him seem like a villain instead of hero, making him unapproachable. He was sent back to his desk to come up with something but he sat there with his arms crossed, settling on figuring out a name at a different time. Todoroki was up next and for some reason just used his first name. He explained that he didn't have an idea that he was comfortable with using and so his name would just be a placeholder until he came up with a name and got it approved. Iida was up next and said that he had a name planned but thought he wasn't worthy of the name, he was just going to use his first name like Todoroki until he felt worthy enough to take up the mantle of the name. Midoriya knew this had to be something to do with the Hero-Killer Stain and his brother who was just left paralyzed by said villain. He looked at his friend in concern before deciding on a name finally, Iida giving him the perfect inspiration for it. He stood up and walked to the front and hid the board from everyone but looking each of them in the eyes. At that moment, he truly looked like a pro. One that was willing to do whatever it took to protect his friends and family.
"Archangel." He said looking at everyone individually again. "I got it from St. Michael the archangel. He's a protector and I want to protect everyone I can and save as many people as I can. I'll help anyone I can, even those who might not want that help." He said looking down, and looking up again with such confidence, that if anyone were standing they would take a step back. Midnight gushed over the name and agreed that it fit him perfectly but that he may have to change his costume to be able to fit within the confines of his name. He knew that but in that moment he looked at Iida trying to convey the message he was trying to get across. That even if he felt like it, that he wasn't alone and never would be. As he finished the bell rang and everyone left for lunch, after that it would be class then another hero class. Midoriya took a breath and went to collect his things feeling a hand on his shoulder. Turning he found it was Aizawa. "Mr. Aizawa?" He asked as the pro hero gave him a rare smile ruffling his hair.
"Problem Child, not what I expected but you made me proud with that name." He said before leaving, Midoriya followed his retreating form with his eyes but snapped out of it. He smiled and ran to catch up to his friends, glad that his newfound name could be a step in the right direction already.
"We will not be having combat training today." Aizawa stated and looked at the class specifically two boys who were still bandaged from their fight against each other. "Instead, we will be going over agencies who have put in requests for you to work at their agencies for your internships." Seeing their confusion he sighed and rubbed his eyes, grateful that he didn't need his own bandages anymore but exasperated. "The internships take place over a single week, you will be there to watch and observe and sometimes assist them in hero work. The main piece of advice I have for you all is to make sure you choose someone that will be beneficial to you in the long run, there are third years who still regret their decisions of their internship." He said looking at them all sharply, his gaze lingering on Momo a bit more than anyone else in the room. "I will be giving those who didn't have a request from a hero a list that you all can intern with. After I'm done talking I will put up the numbers of how many requests were given. You will have the rest of the day to decide." He said finally and the class looked at the screen in shock. There were only nine of them who had received requests and the top three had an insane amount of offers.
Izuku Midoriya- 4,152
Shoto Todoroki- 3,456
Katsuki Bakugou- 3,096
Fumikage Tokoyami- 1,007
Tenya Iida- 349
Momo Yaoyorozu-121
Ochako Uraraka- 93
Eijirou Kirishima - 55
Mina Ashido- 24
"Guess our big three grabbed the top spots again." Kaminari said, sighing he knew his performance was subpar during the tournament but he thought he'd have at least one offer. "But I guess they did put on the best showing, I mean hell all of them destroyed the arena at least once." He said looking at the class who all nodded while Midoriya looked confused.
"Big three?" He asked and everyone looked at him shocked, but remembered that he was in Recovery Girl's office when Present Mic had said something like that. "What do you mean?"
"Present Mic said something like that during me and Bakugou's fight. He came up with it on the spot, but it stuck." Kirishima said, pulling out a magazine showing him the title. Class 1-A's Big Three: Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, and Katsuki Bakugou. Midoriya groaned and shook his head, damn the reporters, this was the first time they appeared basically and they already came up with something like this. Momo laughed lightly and rubbed his back lightly, he hated attention more than anything else and wasn't fond of the media at all. He sighed and looked through the pages upon pages of hero's who had offered him and none really struck him as an experience that would actually benefit him. He shook his head dropping the pages on the ground before looking over at Momo who was biting her lip.
"Izuku, you… you know alot about heroes right?" She asked him as she looked through the pages she had and he nodded looking over at her shoulder. "I was thinking about Uwabami…" She admitted biting her lip before he saw him shake his head.
"She's more of a commercial hero, sure she goes on patrols but that's more just to be seen than anything." He told her looking through the pages before his eyes got wide. "Did you look past her name?" Momo shook her head and he looked at her with confusion before pointing to the name. Ryukyu, the Dragoon Hero. Her jaw dropped as Uraraka came over as she saw the reactions of her friends.
"No way! Ryukyu! That's awesome Yaomomo!" She said looking at the sheet before showing her filled out form. "I'm going to Gunhead to learn some defense techniques, that way I don't always have to rely on my quirk!" She says excitedly, punching the air causing the couple to laugh slightly at their friends' antics.
"That's actually a great choice. I haven't found anyone who would work well with me or my quirk." He sighed as Momo furiously filled out the form and basically ran to turn it in, almost as if it was a dream that she had gotten such a well-known hero to want her for an internship. "I still have half of it left to go through so there's someone in there." He muttered looking at the pile in disdain, before sighing and looking through the pages again. "Maybe, Nyikang or Crust. Hell, even Rock Lock might be okay." Momo was helping him. As she looked at the page she saw a name that he might have missed, she turned to her boyfriend who was looking at the ceiling, and muttering to himself about the different heroes that might be helpful to work under.
"For someone so smart, you're kinda stupid." She said off-handedly as she shoved the page in front of his eyes. "You have Edgeshot wanting you. You missed that didn't you?" She said as his eyes widened and his jaw dropped, he grabbed the paper and reread it constantly.
"No way, no way, no way!" He said before jumping up and looking at the paper with glee. "He's my favorite hero! The Ninja Hero! Man, he inspired some of my fighting styles!" He said as the class laughed at the hero nerd who was geeking out. He quickly wrote it down on his sheet and handed it to Aizawa, who raised an eyebrow.
"You've caught some attention, Problem Child. Now you have to make sure that you'll do your best now. You're heading straight to the big leagues, you'll be dealing with some pretty big stuff. Keep up the good work." He grunted before grabbing the sheet from him and placing it on the pile of other sheets. Midoriya smiled at that and walked back to his seat smiling and in the best mood he's been in for a very long time. Momo pushed his chest lightly bringing him back to earth, but not losing the grin that he had.
"I'm proud of you." Momo said simply and grabbed his hand gently, running her thumb over his knuckles.
"That's my line." He said and pulled her in for a gentle hug, as Kaminari made a remark about PDA, they laughed and just held hands until the final bell rang and they were released. They started to walk back to the dorms with the rest of their class, when they got their Midoriya dropped off his stuff and changed into his casual clothes. "I'm going to go out longboarding with the guys. I'll be back by dinner, since we're doing that class dinner." He told her and kissed her goodbye, as he went to the door walking backwards.
"C'mon Lover Boy." Kirishima laughed and pulled him along out the door grabbing his board for him as they left. Kaminari waved to her before they left, Bakugou actually with them this time, as he grumbled about being forced into this. Momo laughed and shook her head. She grabbed her homework and sat in the common room with Tsu, Uraraka and Jiro. They worked for a while, Mina joining them an hour or so earlier before the pink girl gave up on her homework and looked bored.
"So how's you and your angel?" She smirked looking at Momo, who just blushed and looked at her friend with a questioning look. "Your angel. Mr. Archangel, Mr. I'll-Protect-You-All? Mr. Sword Crazy. Are you two closer yet? I mean you're together all the time but like anything interesting?" Finally getting what Mina was implying she blushed even harder, hiding her face behind a book.
"C'mon Mina, give her a break." Tsu said, defending the dark haired girl, who peaked over her book slightly. "We're all curious, but still relationships are personal." Jiro nodded at that and smirked lightly.
"Plus why not tell us about you and Mr. Manly huh?" The purple haired girl shot back causing the girl to gain a dark lilac blush. "Better speak fast, I hear Bakugou." She said smiling as they could indeed hear the boys yelling and the laughter from where they were.
"I-i-i…" She was saved by the doors opening and a soaked group of four and it was obvious it wasn't sweat.
"What did you guys do?" Tsu asked, looking at the soaked boys, noticing their boards were dry. "You went to the beach didn't you?" The boys nodded and Kaminari and Kirishima flopped on the ground.
"Whatever they fed these guys is fucking ridiculous, they wanted to go for another hour." Kaminari said laying on the ground, relishing the feeling of his legs finally able to rest. Bakugou scoffed while Midoriya laughed and shook his head, water flying everywhere.
"Izuku! You're getting us all wet!" Momo yelled as he got closer with an evil smirk. "I swear to god if you say something inappropriate- HEY!" She yelped as he hugged her, getting her wet as everyone laughed, even Bakugou let out a small back or laughter.
"Momo, I would neeeeever do thaaaat." He laughed and pulled her tighter to his chest feeling just how cold the water was, even in the remaining heat provided by the sun.
"You would, don't lie." She said finally pushing him off of her but smiling, punching him in the shoulder lightly. "Now, I have to get changed again." She groaned packing her stuff into her bag as they could hear people in the kitchen, meaning that the dinner was almost ready.
"More of an excuse for me to come with you." He said walking with her and waving to everyone in the common room. He rolled her eyes and let him follow her, he had left a few changes of clothes in her room for the weekend. When they got there, Midoriya grabbed his clothes and went to change in her bathroom while she changed quickly in her room. She finished seconds before he came back out and stretched exposing his abs.
"Man, seems like you're trying to hide something from me huh?" She said poking his stomach as they laughed
"Nah, you just never asked." He said firing back at her, and she swatted his shoulder before walking to the door.
"C'mon we're already late and I'm really hungry. Sato made cake." She said, causing the green haired boy to run out the door wanting to get a slice of said cake before it was gone.
"That's all that you had to say!" He said smiling and picking her up, running down to the kitchen quickly and sitting at the table with everyone else.
"Midoriya, I know you and Momo are a thing buuut do you need her on your lap?" Mina said smirking, pointing at the couple. As soon as Midoriya realized that he forgot to let go of Momo, he smirked and wrapped his arms around her waist, preventing her from moving.
"Someone's jealous." He teased and the class laughed as the pink girl blushed lilac.
"No idea of what you're talking about." She muttered, and looked away but sneaking a few quick glances at Kaminari that no one had noticed. Midoriya smiled and shook his head.
"Alright! Let's get started! I cooked first today so let's get going! Let's see what dazzling meal I have made for you." Aoyama said smiling at his classmates and their long night of food and fun began.
The Next Week
"Alright, everyone is off to their internships. Remember, you may be going on these internships but you are still students and you are still heroes-in-training. Unless they give you express permission do NOT, Midoriya listen carefully, DO NOT use your quirks." Aizawa said, looking at his students, and grinned somewhat to himself as Midoriya looked somewhat sheepish at being called out. However, the trains soon arrived ready to take the students away to their stops and Momo and Izuku had to split from each other.
"Hey, take it easy there Trouble Maker." Momo said as she waved to Izuku who just smiled and waved back as he got onto his train, the doors soon closing behind him as she went to her train. She was nervous of course, but she was ready to take on anything that came her way.
Midoriya breathed out gently, and looked out the window seeing the countryside passing by quicker than he could see it. He rested his head against the headrest and thought deeply. About Iida, Hosu and the Hero-Killer. About Momo. About his mom. About everything, losing himself in thought he was jostled by the stopping train and found his stop. He grabbed his duffle bag and his case and walked out, he checked the address and started walking. The entire place reminded him of old japan before quirks, everything had an elegant and serene look to it that was made to amaze. He soon found himself at the place, finding what looked like a shogun's palace. He went to knock but as soon as he did, the doors swung open as just his mere presence caused it to open. He peered inside and saw that the courtyard was empty but that it led to a singular building that stood out from every other. He walked forward carefully, creating a sword he walked forward carefully before pushing the door open.
"What the hell is going on?" He muttered to himself walking towards the center of the building, the floor entirely made of mats but the light from the door didn't reach the back revealing nothing. Suddenly, he felt movement from behind him and went to turn before he was slammed onto the ground and something sharp was pointed at his neck. Just as suddenly the lights came on blinding him for a second, as he opened his eyes he saw his attacker was none other than Edgeshot.
"You felt me but were unable to detect me, your choice of weapon does not fit the situation either. It's too heavy and cumbersome, I noticed even with those soldiers you summoned, that you use english and scandinavian weaponry. Now that's not bad, but what about certain weapons for certain situations? What about armor?" He was about to interrupt the hero before he held up a hand making him stop, before he got off the boy and pulled him up so that he was standing. "Aren't weapons anything you make into weapons? Couldn't you change your thinking to broaden your pool or weapons and knowledge?" He said shocking Midoirya, and the pro smirked at the shocked expression. "Training starts now. Get ready." He said before leaping at the boy.
