Midoriya was not having a good time since he had gotten back from his internship with Edgeshot. Reporters hounded him every time he tried to set foot outside of the school, so he always had to ask his classmates for help. In the mornings, he woke up to watch the news and all it was for the last few days was Stain, Midoriya, and Endeavor. He groaned and shut it off, resigning himself to just go back to sleep and not think about it. He knew it was a big deal but in that same mindset, he couldn't see why everyone continued on about it. During the two days, he, Iida and Todoroki were alone at the dorms; they had grown closer especially since they did face the hero killer together. They hung out with each other, and the other two ran to grab stuff for Midoriya to use to cook. They had grown to appreciate the boy even more when it came to his cooking skills. He was easily the best cook out of the entire class and relished that he was cooking for only the three of them for a few days before their classmates trickled in throughout the day. Kaminari and Mina were the first to come back in the afternoon and had instantly been in the kitchen when they heard that it was Midoriya cooking. The pattern followed throughout the day, even Bakugou didn't refuse the food offered to him by the green boy. Momo was the last to come back but when she had she jumped into his arms and hardly left his side. Apparently, almost getting killed was one way to make sure that your girlfriend didn't even think about leaving your side. As the day winded down, the couple found themselves in her room, her head in his lap as he ran his fingers through her hair.

"I'm still mad at you." She said as he sighed and nodded, leaning down he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and she hummed lightly, before sitting up and placing herself in his lap facing him. "I can't believe that you have had an entire mental shift in your quirk, that's literally almost never been heard of before." She said, poking the shirtless boy in his chest as he chuckled and shook his head. He had explained the majority of his training to her and she was shocked that he was tasked with such a complex and difficult task. Changing a belief is slow and takes such a long time to do, however now that she thought about it since it was to do with his quirk, then he might have had an easier time than changing another belief he had.

"If you were there you would have seen why it happened and how it happened. Trust me, it wasn't a revelation. It was having it beat into me until I created that armor. But I know that's not what you wanted to talk about." He said pointing out that she had changed what she was going to say before she had actually asked her question. She sighed and shook her head, diverting her eyes away from the boy that she loved and cared for.

"You know me too damn well." She sighed again and looked down at the scars he had on his shoulders from the Nomu. "I know you had to fight, but… Izuku I'm so scared of these times you're going to bite off more than you can chew and I'm going to lose you." She said bringing up their conversation from the hospital again, and he looked shocked. He had never thought that, that's what she was thinking about. Instead, he was selfish and didn't even bother to think that this wasn't the first time that this had happened. He had basically done the same thing at the USJ, when he took on the Nomu with the imperfect domain expansion. He gently grabbed her hands and manipulated them so that she could feel his pulse points, one on his wrists and one on his neck and he looked into her eyes with his entire focus on her. "As long as there is blood in me, I will always come back." It was simple and kind but it sent Momo over the edge into a crying mess and she wrapped her arms around him tightly. He did the same and held her as she wept into his shoulder, he knew, he KNEW how hard this was going to be for them but he would never stop being with her unless she told him too. He swore while they were in that position that he wouldn't rest until the villains knew that All Might wasn't the one to be feared anymore, it was him. And if he got as much of a whiff of any of them, they would be taken down.

Midoriya leaned back in his seat waiting for the day to start and he had a look on his face that made most of his classmates avoid his gaze. Clearly there was something that the boy was thinking about, something related to his quirk if the half finished weapons that appeared were anything to go off of. He was interrupted when All Might entered the class room and announced that they were going to one of the gyms for a race and told them all to suit up. Midoriya walked with Momo finally snapped out of his intense thinking session and smiled, there was no way that he wasn't going to show off today. He was patched up and ready to go, he had all the energy he needed and most of all, he just wanted to see the looks on their faces when they saw the armor he could create. Sure, they all knew of it but they didn't see it in person as he refused to show them in person just yet. He got to the changing room after saying goodbye to Momo and changed into the tight shirt and pants combo, earning a response from some of his classmates.

"Yo Midoriya, when did you change your costume? You had that sick armor last time, what happened?" Kirishima asked as he changed into his own costume as Midoriya struggled into his, not entirely comfortable with the tightness of the shirt yet.

"It happened during my time with Edgeshot, he actually convinced Nezu to let my costumes go through the support company he uses now." He said finally getting the shirt on and messing with it until he finally was able to get it where it was comfortable and not pinching at his skin."The armor had to go since I developed some new things with my quirk." He said as Iida followed suit and left with them.

"I must admit that when I first saw it, I was surprised but it makes sense now that I think about it. The armor you make would be much more bulky to accommodate it wouldn't it?" The youngest Iida said as Midoriya nodded, Kirishima looked like that was an acceptable answer and continued on their way before stopping when they saw All Might and getting ready for their races. Midoriya was against Sero, Iida, and Ashido all of them had insanely good movement and if he hadn't gotten his armor he may have been screwed. He didn't even notice the stairs that he was getting from some of his classmates as some of the girls blushed, they knew he was ripped but they didn't know how ripped until he came out with entire torso basically just having another layer of skin. Momo was the worst and couldn't concentrate having to fan her face as he walked over and hugged her from behind, feeling all of those muscles her face lit on fire. He just laughed seeing how red she got and leaned down to whisper something in her ear that couldn't be heard and the girl looked at him shocked before blushing a brighter red before nodding looking determined. The rest of the girls looked at the exchange in shock, sure they had seen Midoriya flirting with his girlfriend constantly but doing something so bold in front of them? That was a bit much for the Invisible girl and the acid quirk user.

"Alright! Something happened! Spill!" Mina said, dragging the raven haired girl over to the side as they were still waiting for some of the groups to be decided and some were still fixing some of their gear. The invisible girl next to her voiced her agreement as the rest of the girls looked intrigued but not nearly as much as the other two.

"It's kinda… a lot." The girl said simply as the girls groaned and tried to press her for more, as they knew she and Ryukyu had been seen in Hosu, there had been an entire TV segment on it! The creation user sighed and looked up again before talking over them to get them to be quiet. "You all saw the press conference recording but there's more to it that's being covered up. It was more dangerous than what was said and let me tell you, right now. I don't trust him to not go off and find the League and fight them all." She sighed as the others looked shocked as the girl looked somewhat defeated.

"I don't think you have much to worry about." Jirou said, shocking them entirely looking at the girl. "I mean look at him," She pointed to the boy that was unknowingly at the center of their discussion. "He looks like he has something on his mind, and I think that something is you. You know, you two weren't quiet last night, I didn't hear the words but I did hear crying." She decided to forgo any type of grace, and just came out with it, making Momo look at her shocked. "He's not going to do something that stupid again for a long time." The raven haired girl looked over at her boyfriend and he did seem more mature, like he had really taken the last week to heart. All Might interrupted their conversation and had Izuku's group go first, he waved to her and smirked. She rolled her eyes but waved back as he blew her a kiss. All Might had each student in a different section, about the same distance apart from the 'civilian' that they had to rescue. As soon as the buzzer sounded, Sero started moving quickly towards the civilian using his tape to swing quickly. Ashido made acid come from her feet and was instantly skating towards the civilian, melting the obstacles in her way with ease. Iida was speeding along and quickly overtook the other two, shocking them before they all dropped to the ground as a metal angel swooped past, causing a sonic boom. It was the armor from before but it was streamlined for speed, it was more refined with metallic elements making it more aerodynamic letting him fly even faster. Overall, it looked like a more complete set of armor and acted like it too. It looked stronger but it looked more maneuverable too, yanking her out of her thoughts was the boy inside the suit of armor. The boy inside laughed and zoomed straight in the sky spinning, before diving down to the civilian and next to All Might who looked shocked at the progress the boy had made. Izuku took off his helmet and shook his hair. He was smiling widely and it made her breath catch in her throat. He looked free, he waited for everyone but flexed inside his armor, the metal shifting ever so slightly. He wasn't able to stand still and let the wings lift him up lightly, he had finally made the armor more like himself. Maybe it was the fact that he felt like he had unlimited stamina from his training with Edgeshot but he felt like he could take on an army and win. Iida arrived and looked at him shocked, Todoroki looked on with what looked like confusion. He must have spent a lot of time with the two while everyone else was finishing up their internships, while the two were forced back to UA because of their run in with the hero killer.

"I thought you said it wasn't ready?" Iida asked panting as he had tried his hardest to catch up to the boy but failed, simply not having the maneuverability that Midoriya had access to with his wings. Midoriya smiled and flexed the wings and his arms at the same time as they walked back over, Todoroki and Momo joining them as none of them were in the next race.

"It wasn't. I was testing it out last night after Momo went to bed." He said sheepishly under the girl's gaze but smiled when she did. "Then I slowly figured some things out, and one thing led to another." He said cryptically, making them all groan, why had he picked up that habit of Edgeshot's? Midoriya cackled and let the armor stay around him, clearly taking pride in it, inside of the armor he felt like he could step toe to toe with possibly even All Might. The white katana hung from his belt and was displayed with pride, showing that he was clearly a disciple of Edgeshot. ALl Might was impressed with the boys progress, as he watched the second race which clearly favored Young Bakugou he let his mind wander to the boy, he had created some type of armor and had impressed Edgeshot enough that he gave the boy one of his sacred katanas that he only gave to the best of the best of the people he took in. No doubt Edgeshot would grab him again for the work study program and the teacher sighed, that could wait till later. They still had finals to worry about, he thought to himself as Bakugou skidded to a stop in front of him.

Midoriya sighed and relaxed in his seat, enjoying the feeling of just being able to relax for the first time in what felt like years but was in reality just a week and a day or two. He made such progress in such a short time, if he improved his skills other than his quirk then he would definitely be ready to conquer whatever was laid out in front of him. He laughed with his friends as they tried to get him to open up about his time with Edgeshot but he refused to give any details about but explained that the hero had given him the katana on his belt because of the progress the young student had made in such a short time. The katana never left his belt and UA was okay with it only after Nezu and Aizawa had gotten a call from the Ninja hero the day after the press conference and that it was a mark of pride that he had given the young boy. He smiled at the memory of the call he had with the hero explaining what he said to them and why it was allowed. Suddenly, Midoriya's head jerked forward from someone's elbow and he swore, rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I must have hit that gigantic head of yours. Aren't you class A bastards known for having gigantic egos?" The new arrival said and Midoriya looked up, already annoyed with the person. He saw that it was a blonde male that he recognized from class B. He sighed and stood up, they were equal height but neither of them knew what the other could do.

"Listen dude, I normally don't care but today's been great so far and I don't need a shit stain with an ego the size of Momo's cannons knocking around into me. If it's a fight you want it's a fight you'll get." He created some brass knuckles and set them on the table before creating another pair and setting on top of the others. "There both of us have weapons so that way neither of us is at an advantage." He said before sighing again and looked at the blond who seemingly was scared stiff. "I'm already in trouble with the school and my girlfriend so I'd like to not kill you and cause even more of those headaches. So let's go our separate ways before I put you next to Stain in the hospital. Okay?" He said with a slightly annoyed expression before sitting down as Monoma ran off. Kendo looked on from where she was standing, she was rather impressed with the boy but maybe the threat of fighting the boy was a bit much? She had never seen anyone deal with Monoma so quickly before, granted he threatened him with a fight and possible bodily harm but he managed to not scare the other boy too much. She sighed and shook her head, going back to her class she wondered just who Izuku Midoriya was. Said boy sighed again before yelping as his girlfriend whacked him on the head, and scolded him.

"But it's been such a good day!" The boy complained as the girl rolled her eyes and looked at him with a stern gaze, making him shrink away as the others laughed and the boy began muttering to himself again.

"Seriously, what is with you people laughing at my pain!" He muttered slightly but used exaggerated hand motions, making the entire situation funnier, even making Todoroki laugh a little.

"Alright. Your finals are coming up and with that there is now a reward on the line for you all." Aizawa told his class, making all of their heads perk up at the new news. Aizawa didn't give out rewards often but when he did it was often worthwhile to pay attention and find out how to get it. "Your finals are tailored specifically for you, we had to change our original two ideas and this is what we came up with. I will not give you hints, I will not tell you what to practice, that is for you to decide. We are giving you this entire week after the paper portion of the test, to get ready for it. That means quirks, ideas, strategies, and different aspects of hero work." He announced and suddenly they felt greatly intimidated, it sounded like they were going to be challenged to the highest point they could and if they messed up it wouldn't work out well for them. "However," This caught their attention again. "The reward for passing your practical will be a trip where we will train your quirks more and it will be like a training camp. But if you don't pass then you will not be going." He said looking at them all seriously making sure that they all knew he was serious. Midoirya gripped his desk lightly in anticipation, he had been trained by one of the best heroes in Japan and he put in his own training, he felt like he was never more ready then that moment. The week passed by quickly as they prepared for their first round of finals which were a week earlier than the rest of the schools as the hero courses did have to do practicals. Quickly the weekend shot past and it was just training from that point on, by the end of the creating duo, as the class liked to call them, simply went to one of their rooms and slept until the next morning. Finals came quicker than they expected and they were brought to a testing site with their costumes on as Aizawa and surprisingly Nezu stood waiting for them to get there. Then the twist came.

"We know what you are good and bad at. Some of you are excellent at power and fighting," The principal said while looking pointedly at Midoriya and Bakugou. "While some of you are better at rescue." The principle then turned to Uraraka and Tsu. "That is why, today you will be taking on challenges that directly attack your weakness and why not start off with the best example. Midoriya, front and center." The principal said with a slightly evil laugh that made the boy gulp slightly. "What is your biggest weakness?" He asked looking up at the boy. Midoriya looked like he was thinking for a second before finally answering back.

"I'm not that good at rescue, I treat my quirk like it's my personal weapon stash and forget that those weapons had other purposes than just for fighting." He said and his homeroom teacher nodded before speaking up.

"All of you into the monitoring chamber, Midoriya follow me." Aizawa said as Midoriya followed him into the city. "While you did rescue Iida and Native, you greatly did so while fighting. While that may be a part of rescue, what happens when your quirk is overused. You gotta think of a way around it. So, no quirk for this. Instead, rescue as many people as you can while wearing these weights." His teacher said giving him the barebones instructions and heading back to the monitoring room. "Start when you hear the buzzer." The teacher called over his shoulder as the student put on the weights. They weren't too bad but they would definitely get heavy over time. He sighed and waited for the buzzer before taking off.

"While Mr. Midoriya was correct in the fact that he is not that great at rescuing people, he also has another flaw that will come to show." Nezu said as Aizawa entered the chamber, looking at the students who looked confused. Momo in particular was thinking of anything that would otherwise be considered a flaw in his hero work, he worked well with his quirk and others. He took the route that made sure he would be able to help as many people as possible, sure he ov- She stopped thinking and her head snapped to the screen to see her boyfriend running wondering why he wasn't using his quirk. "Ms. Yaoyorozu, you've seemed to figure it out."

"He overuses his quirk, and because of that he doesn't really know how to face a crisis without it." She breathed out suddenly, having her eyes glued to the screen, watching as her boyfriend struggled to lift a boulder off an actor while reassuring him that everything was going to be okay. "Once he overuses his quirk his body gets heavy and seems to drag behind him, he gets tired and struggles more." She elaborates and suddenly everyone is worried about their own tests, if these tests were made to attack their weaknesses then they would be in for it.

Midoirya hated, no loathed UA at this present moment, he was thrusted into a simulation where there were other heroes helping but they were fighting off villains while he focused on rescue. He wanted nothing more than to jump in the frey with the others and fend them off so someone else could escort them out. It was what he was good at but this time, he was the rescuer. He became more and more frustrated but tried to push it down until a villain got too close and he activated his quirk ready to swing a sword at him.

"Remember penalties apply for quirk usage!" Midoriya growled as Nezu's voice came over the intercom but stopped himself in time, sprinting to another civilian. Slowly his frustration got to him, and one of the 'civilians' reprimanded him making him more frustrated, trying to calm his breathing he thought back to Edgeshot who placed great importance on reassuring citizens. He breathed out heavily and forced a smile on his face and apologized to the actor, he had to constantly remind himself not to stop fights and to push on with the rescue operation. 'It is a hero's job to help keep the people safe, not only that but to make sure that they feel safe while you are rescuing them.' His mentor's words popped into his head while he was lifting a rock for someone to crawl out from beantaht and instantly he checked on them making sure they were okay and smiling. Slowly, he let his frustration go but the weights began to get heavier and heavier as time went on. The weights were really weighing him down and he felt his arms start to burn but he had pushed past way worse than this, so he grit his teeth and moved on. His lack of mobility made him an easy target for the fake villains, but he was able to work his way around them with timing and coordination from other heroes so he was always able to get to a civilian. Whenever one caught sight of him they made sure to target him, so he just ran to the nearest hero and let them engage so he could slip past, making sure he got to the civilian in a good manner without a villain attacking both of them. His arms burned from lifting rubble, his legs hurt from the non-stop running. He certainly didn't back off his physical training, Edgeshot would hang him for that but he was reaching the bottom of his tank already and it felt like five minutes. After what felt like the 50th civilian he dropped to his knees, how had the timer not buzzed again? He slowly got up and pushed himself to run, getting to another civilian who just seemed lost and guiding them to the exit. The constant running made his lungs burn, while his shoulders ached to the point that ten pounds felt like one hundred. He dropped to the ground just near the exit zone after the civilian had exited and tried to get up but couldn't, he tried crawling but his body failed him. He punched the ground and tried to force his body up but his hand slipped. He dropped and the buzzer sounded as soon as he hit the ground, he breathed out in relief when someone undid his weights and he just laid there Nezu congratulating him on a job well done. He rolled over and let his friends pull him up, his legs were wobbly but he was going to make it to that room on his own two legs if he had anything to say about it. Kirishima and Iida looked at him worried before letting him walk into the room, he grinned but knew he looked like shit and lopped himself on the ground leaning against a wall. Momo wasn't there but he could see that she and Todoroki were in the same area, he knew that this was to test her confidence and while he was comfortable he was still slightly worried. He leaned up against the wall and slid up leaning against it, wanting nothing more than to sleep but refusing to do so until he saw her final. He yawned and leaned against Iida who supported his friend, Midoriya muttered his thanks as he saw Momo and Todoroki run out into the town and get absolutely demolished by Aizawa in their first engagement, while going with his plan. Momo was able to get away from Aizawa, circling around back to the bi-colored boy letting him down from Aizawa's trap making sure to avoid the caltrops. He watched with bated breath as she came up with a clever plan to trap their teacher, cheering when they managed to stall him long enough so that they could get away and run out of the exit, passing. Midoirya sighed and smiled, her confidence had taken a massive hit while fighting against Tokoyami and while she had managed to keep some of it intact this would definitely help her. Kirishima let him lean on him as Iida left for his test, Momo walked in smiling and laughing with Todoroki before looking at her boyfriend and running over and hugging him.

"You look like shit." She smiled as he chuckled and helped him walk over to the resting area of the room, letting him slide down the wall while she sat next to him. She finally looked at him and noticed that he was covered in soot from the fires from his test, his costume had some tears and there were multiple scrapes and bruises all over his arms. His jawline was scratched and bruised from a punch from a villain he failed to dodge during the later part of his test.

"Yea, I feel like it too." He laughed and she gently grabbed his hand, squeezing it. "Plus, I only get to know my score after everyone else pretty much because my test required the points from the actors and such." He said and leaned his head against her shoulder, finally able to get some rest after his test.

"You'll be fine. From what I saw, you never gave up and even when you activated your quirk out of instinct you forced it back down and took on the challenges as you should have in that situation." She reassured him as he nodded slightly before she heard his breathing even out and he fell asleep. She gently created a small pillow and put it under his head, as their friends went through their finals some of them had to work in groups with incompatible quirks or people they didn't know. Some had to go alone and deal with their own faults while helping, protecting, or fighting. Overall only a few failed; Kaminari, Mina, Kirishima, Sato, and Sero. Bakugou had actually passed, it seemed like whatever Best Jeanist had beat into the boy he had actually taken it to heart. The boy came back much more calm, but still volatile, loud and abrasive. He was given a task to protect and rescue citizens while causing minimal structural damage, he had done little damage and while there was some, he had done a rather decent job overall. Midoriya had done well and achieved a high score, while not achieving the highest score he had done well enough to pass and when the boy woke up he smiled before stretching and popping all of his joints.

"Good job all of you, I'm rather pleased with your improvement. All of you have shown at least some improvement in your abilities and were able to take control and conquer your weaknesses. Additionally, good news for you who failed, you'll be going on the trip too." Aizawa announced to the cheers of those who had failed, before stopping at the man's smirk. "But you will be taking supplementary classes that will be added to the end of the day after all the training." They shivered at the tone of the man and became worried about what those classes would entail. They nodded knowing that they would definitely be in for it, but they needed it, the rest of their class passed but they hadn't.

"Well, at least I can still do something without my quirk huh?" He laughed as they walked back to the locker rooms and he went into the mens quickly and sat down slowly taking off his costume and setting it into the case, getting it ready to send to the support company to get it fixed up again. Edgeshot made sure he had a direct line to them so that he could get repairs and improvements within days of needing them. He groaned as he peeled off the shirt leaving the pants on while he changed into his shirt, they were free to head back to the dorms but he was sore even after he had visited Recovery Girl, he was just so tired. He managed to get the pants off and slip on basketball shorts, he yawned and leaned against the cold locker, the metal felt good against his skin and he really didn't want to put a shirt on. He would put it on when he was cold but right now, being cold felt fantastic. His ears picked up Mineta being pervy again and said standing up ready to deal with the pervert, he grabbed Bakugou and they walked over to the runt. "Mineta, what are you doing?" He asked kindly, a tick mark forming on his forehead while looking at the boy who was trying to work a camera into the ceiling.

"N-Nothing!" He yelled, surprised, and dropped the camera which Bakugou caught and destroyed in seconds. The grape looked sad at the lost camera but that look turned to panic as he was dragged down by Midoriya who forgot about his soreness and threw the grape out of the doors.

"Katsuki, tag team?" He said forming a singular gauntlet this time with enlarged knuckles.

"Izuku, best idea ever. I get dibs on first though. Pink Cheeks is off limits." He growled as the boys growled, around them the guys looked shocked at the declaration while Izuku smirked, he knew. Of course he did, it wasn't that hard to see the glances between the two. Bakugou walked up and started to bounce the grape around with explosion after explosion, he passed him to Midoriya who took a leaf out of All Might's book and smashed the little bastard into the ground.

"Thanks for making it easy on me." Midoriya smirked at the protective glare that Bakugou had which switched to a softer glance when he saw the girl he mentioned earlier. The girls had come out and watched the beat down on the grape, cheering the two on. Despite what was going on, it was great stress relief for all of them (excluding Mineta) after a few stress-filled hours. Aizawa simply sighed as he watched the exchange, he simply didn't know why grape didn't give up.
