Izuku groaned as Momo dragged him excitedly to the bus at five in the morning. He certainly was not a morning person, especially since the girl's alarm woke him up at four.
"I'm jealous that you're this energetic in the morning." He muttered as he let himself float in his armor, the wings of the suit keeping him up as he let his helmet rest in his hands with his and Momo's backpack. The girl lagged and simply dragged him faster through the air. He eventually landed, letting his control drop and walk in his slides onto the bus. Mostly everyone was fully awake at this point but a few of them, mostly Midoriya and Bakugou. Momo was animatedly talking to Jiro as Midoriya just laid his head on her shoulder until their teacher took roll call.
"Remember, this is not supposed to be an easy field trip. This is a training camp, and class 1-B will be there, so play nice." Aizawa said smirking, pointedly looking at Midoriya and Bakugou, the two didn't seem like they were going to get a break today. Midoriya just grumbled about a stupid blonde haired and blue eyed bastard, looking for trouble. It wasn't his fault that Monoma seemed to always try to antagonize him all the time, and Bakugou was just rough around the edges and took everything on the chin before swinging back harder than they had. The bus started to pull out of the school and went on their way, Midoriya put his headphones on and turned it up lightly. Way Back Home by SHAUN came on and he sighed happily, letting the music just wash over him. He finally relaxed against the window and opened his eyes fully, looking at his classmates. He stretched light, catching his girlfriend's eye and smiled at him kissing his cheek before just letting him relax. He grabbed his phone and messaged Kaminari to play against him in an online game that they both had, for the next hour they heard the electric quirk user get beat time after time again much to the boys annoyance and the laughing of Midoriya. They're first break was on the side of the road near a forest, and Midoriya stepped out stretching and groaning lightly. He sighed happily and took his headphones off his ears and rested them around his neck, he rubbed his hands through his air before stuffing them into his pockets before a pair of arms wrapped around his neck.
"You look much more happy than this morning." Momo said laughing as the boy laughed and turned around placing an arm around her waist as he nodded. He stretched again causing his shirt to ride up slightly before answering.
"That's because mornings are evil and having to get up so early in the morning was hell on me. God, I freaking love that I have wings sometimes." He joked as the girl shook her head before they were interrupted by two heroes that appeared near them and stood near Aizawa.
"Alright, gather round and listen up. Pixie-Bob and Mandalay," Aizawa said, pointing to the heroines respectively. "Are two of the heroes that are going to be training you this weekend." He says as some of the class mutters about them being part of the Wild, Wild Pussycats who are one of the most renowned hero teams in Japan. "Now, your training camp begins." He began with an evil smile as they looked at him in confusion before one of the heroines spoke up.
"You see where the foot of that mountain is?" Mandalay said as the students nodded their heads. "Get there by noon!" She said excitedly asd the ground shifted underneath them tossing them down to the forest below. Midoirya was able to grab Momo and create his suit of armor floating them down to the ground, Bakugou used his explosions and grabbed Uraraka dropping to the ground and letting his legs absorb the impact, and Todoroki created a slide of ice he and Iida used to get to the ground while everyone else hit the ground somewhat hard. Midoriya let Momo stand before running and checking on his classmates.
"Everyone alright?" He yelled checking the students furthest away from the center of the group, getting them closer together before Tooru yelled out and her sleeve pointed behind him. In an instant, his armor was created and he kicked, along with Todoroki's Ice, Iida's own kick and Bakugou's explosion. Dirt rained down as the dirt monster became no more and they heard a call from above.
"Oh yea! There's dirt monster's you have to face too! Good luck!" Pixie-Bob called and walked away. They heard the bus and a car drive off as some of them groaned and started to get up dusting themselves off before getting ready to get going towards the direction the heroine had pointed.
"Wait, hold up." Midoriya said suddenly as he took off the helmet and let his hair flop out, damn he really needed a haircut… and a shave. Now that he was aware of it, that was gonna bother him the entire time until he actually did it. "We need to form a battle plan otherwise we're gonna get swamped and it's gonna be miserable." He said looking for anyone who disagreed with him, when none arose he sighed and nodded. "We should have long range and scouting in the middle, that means Aoyama, Ashido, Shoji, Jiro, Sero, Koda, Mineta, and Momo in the center." He said as everyone nodded, despite not liking it Momo knew that she had more of an advantage at range than in close quarters combat so having her close to the center was definitely a better idea. He sighed, so far so good. "Next, we need to cover our front, sides and back. Our backline should be Todoroki and Iida, not only do they have the speed to catch up, they also have the ability to cover our backs." He said as he nodded, Todoroki looked like he was thinking for a second before nodding along with Iida. "Our flanks should be covered by Hagakure, Kirishima, Ojiro, and Asui on the left while our right should be covered by Sato, Tokoyami, Kaminari and Uraraka." He said as the two groups nodded, and formed around the small group in the center.
"Hey Weapons Bastard! Forget about me?" Bakugou growled and glared at Midoriya before stalking up to him and getting in his face. The green boy just smirked and leaned his head a bit more, not knowing when he got slightly taller than the blonde.
"Not at all you Explosive freak." He smirked seeing the shocked look from Bakugou. "We," He paused for dramatic effect, Edgeshot really had a flair that rubbed off on his students. "Are the frontline." Bakugou grinned and punched his hand creating a small explosion. "Alright! Let's go!" Midoriya called and they took off into the forest.
Boy was he glad that he actually suggested getting into a formation before otherwise they would have been so screwed. He and Bakugou were getting pummeled every minute of every hour, trying to make progress. Luckily with Shoji, Jiro and Koda they were able to find out where the monsters were waiting for them and took advantage of the knowledge, attacking them before they could get to the main body. The only issue with that was they were using their abilities far more than the others, and often rested while waiting for the others to catch up before continuing their crusade. The flanks were having a better time, thanks to the more even dispersion of quirks they were able to conserve their strength while also being supported by the people in the center. Todoroki and Iida were doing fine but were experiencing the same thing as the front line but to a lesser degree. They found out that the monster reformed after a few minutes so the two often had to beat monsters that were beaten minutes ago. This forced the front two to go a bit slower but they kept up the pace that the center moved at, letting them pass through with relative ease. Luckily, the two boys knew each other better than most of their other classmates and as such were able to cover for their mistakes in a second but it was slowly taking their toll on them.
"For the last fucking time, FUCKING WATCH OUT!" Midoriya yelled, as he smashed a monster with a poleaxe he created when his armor was too much to use. He panted and let the weapon drop, his arms on fire but creating something smaller wouldn't be nearly as effective as the axe.
"SAYS YOU!" Bakugou yelled back as he blew apart a monster that appeared next to Midoirya and the two groaned sitting down. They were close because they saw the clearing but were extremely tired from using their quirks, evident from Midoriya's droopy eyes and the blonde's shaking arms.
"SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU!" Two girls yelled and they saw Momo and Uraraka sighing as they walked over to the duo.
"We're all tired so just be quiet." Momo begged, rubbing her head and helping the green boy up as Uraraka helped Bakugou up who blushed lightly and looked away.
"Really! We're there!" Uraraka said as the rest of the class caught up and they collapsed in the clearing near a building that they knew to be their training camp for the week. Midoriya was going to say anything before thinking better of it and closed his mouth, knowing better than to argue against an angry Momo. He sighed and nodded, relishing the feeling of the ground on his back and he drifted off slightly just relaxing his eyes as the heroes congratulated them on getting there in time for dinner.
"It took you sixish hours but hey that's pretty good! I guess us saying get here by noon was by our standards as pros! Good job! All of you! But you four especially! You four did fantastically!" Mandalay said, walking over to them before sniffing them and pouting. "You two are already claimed! But you two are free." She said turning away from Midoriya and Bakugou to look at Iida and Todoroki who literally shivered underneath her gaze. Momo and Uraraka let out breaths of relief, causing Momo to look at the pink cheeked girl with confusion before slapping a hand over her mouth in shock, not saying anything. Uraraka looked panicked but relieved when the other didn't say anything, but they shared a look knowing that they were gonna talk later. "Well anyway, we made food for you guys today! But this will be the last time, for the rest of the week you will be working together to create your meals for yourselves!" She said excitedly as the students sighed in relief before seeing 1-B finally stumble into the clearing, much to their homeroom teacher's annoyance. They had been given an hour of extra time and they were still beaten by a wide margin of time. He sighed as 1-A went to go get food while 1-B got their talk from the heroes, who were joined by the rest of their team.
Midoirya let his head drop on the table and yawned, after eating he had let his exhaustion wash over him until he saw a kid glaring at them. He recognized that look, it was the one he used when referring to his dad, he sighed and stood up much to the surprise of his classmates as he walked over to the boy.
"Hey kid. You wanna eat?" He asked, flopping next to the boy as if it was something that he did naturally. The boy looked at him with a glare before moving away. "I know that look. You hate someone or something don't you?" He says quietly, making the boy whip around to him. "I had that look. My… dad was never home and when I finally found why I was mad. Every time I saw a picture from him I scowled and I got mad and I used my quirk to trash it. But… I let go." He said looking sadly, some tears in his eyes. "It hurts but ya gotta push past it kid." He says before getting up and walking back to his friends leaving the boy shocked, not even noticing Mandalay walk over to him and kneel down.
"Kota?" She asks gently as he turns to her, before letting her envelope in a hug. She heard everything and she was rather shocked by the younger boy. He really was hurting from his past but he had managed to shove it aside to be a hero. It looked like he had friends who were there for him, who lifted him up and made him better. Kota looked at the boy who was laughing now, as Kaminari and Kirishima wrapped their arms around him and teased him. "You can join them…" She said gently, not wanting to push the boy too much. He nodded and timidly walked over to the table and joined them. Before anyone else could react, Midoriya smiled and included him in on the silly conversation, making the boy feel welcome. Mandalay sighed looking at him, smiling. He was told some really simple things but it appeared that was what he needed to finally open up even the slightest bit. She walked over to the teachers table and smiled lightly. "Eraser, that problem child of yours is more of a hero than even you think." She said, enjoying the shocked look she got before he smiled again.
"That is something I disagree with. He's probably more of a hero than all of us combined." He said as the friend group got up and started to toss around an American football Yaoyorozu made. Kota actually throws the ball to the students, and laughs at Midoriya getting tackled by Bakugou. He was included in everything that they did before the groups had to leave to bathe. Midoirya bent over slightly and smiled at Kota before giving him the ball and ruffling his hair before putting the boy's hat back on and walking away waving at the boy who ran over to the teachers table happily. Man was the boy, a problem child, but he did really well at being able to affect everyone positively.
"Hey Uraraka, since when were you and Bakugou a thing?" Mina called out while they were in the hot springs that were connected to their lodgings. The sero gravity girl jumped and started to deny it, making them all laugh, but let it go at the girl's request before switching targets to Momo. "Speaking of relationships, Momo you and Midoriya weren't as cuddly today." Mina said looking at the girl, but was shocked when the raven haired girl just shrugged.
"We were really busy preparing for finals and now the trip, we didn't have time during the day." She shrugged before realizing her mistake and the girls suddenly swarming her like a pack of vultures.
"Well they're lively." Midoirya laughed as he heard them all yelling about something as the guys just relaxed and laid around enjoying the hot water.
"Indeed, I wonder what they're talking about." Iida said as sat with only parts of his legs in the water, keeping his mufflers above the water level. Shoji created an ear that reached higher in the sky, and he started laughing before he shrunk the ear back, teh guys looking at him expectantly.
"Never took you for a guy to live in someone else's dorm Midoriya." Shoji laughed and Midoirya paled, the rest of the guys turning their heads towards him. "Looks like we found our topic of discussion." The normally silent boy said as he laughed again.
"Yea yea. I'll explain." The boy sighed before punching Mienta for making a perverted comment and having Sero wrap him in tape. "It started off after Hosu and the hero killer," He started and Todoroki and Iida shivered despite the hot air. "Momo got really mad at me for doing that stupid shit against the hero killer and literally burst into the hospital room." He said as the three shuddered at the memory. "But she made me promise a specific thing and I refuse to break that promise to her. But getting back to the main thing, it's just a way to say that I won't risk it." He says seriously as they all nod, even Bakugou looking impressed.
"That's so manly!" Kirishima said and looked at Midoriya seriously before standing up. "So you really freaked her out, huh?" He said slowly before sitting down and looking at the green haired boy who nodded and sighed.
"It'll probably happen again but I promised to do my best to not purposefully do something stupid anymore. It's not fair to her or my mom, who's been hanging out with Explosivo's mom too much." He muttered and rubbed the back of his head subconsciously, while everyone laughed and nodded. Bakugou grumbled about Midoriya not having to deal with that type of attitude his entire life at least. They all relaxed again until they trickled out Midoriya walking out with Kaminari and Iida. Midoriya threw on his shorts and no shirt, creating a knife and casually flipping it. It was a little training exercise he created to help his hand eye coordination and how long he could make an item.
"Oh Midoriya there you are!" He heard someone call and saw Mandalay behind them and he grabbed the knife before letting it dissolve.
"Hey, did you need me for something?" He asked politely as she shook her head, and just waved him over. He waved to his friends and walked with the pro heroine.
"Thanks for talking to Kota, he actually hated heroes until you came along. He never wanted to talk to one and he hated them but you opened him up somehow. Thank you." She said genuinely as he nodded and smiled.
"I experienced something similarly to what he's going through emotionally, the difference was that my mom was there for me." He smiled thinking about the woman who raised him, instead of the cryer she was when his dad was around she turned into a badass. She went from thicker to thin, she developed an attitude of she could do anything, and that her son was so important to her that she would sacrifice the world for him. He loved her so much and was grateful that she raised him like she did. "It took me a long time to realize what I told him, I just wanna see the kid go and be a hero in his own way." He smiled as Mandalay smiled and nodded.
"Well, I'll let you get back to your class. Have a goodnight Midoriya." She said kindly and left as he went into the boys room and yawned.
"What did Mandalay need, Midoriya?" Kaminari asked as Iida looked at the new arrival with a questioning glance.
"Nothing. Nothing at all." He said smiling and laughed as the boys rolled their eyes, Edgeshot had too much of an influence on him. "But what do y'all wanna do? We still have an hour before lights out." He asked and the guys shrugged their shoulders till 1-B came in. "Hey." Midoirya said, simply taking a drink out of his water bottle and waving at the new arrivals and getting one or two waves back. Man, he hoped the girls from 1-B were more chill than the guys, he was really tired of the constant strain between the two groups. To prove his point, Monoma and Bakugou started arguing causing both classes to groan before Midoriya stepped up walking over creating a policeman's baton.
His arms screamed in pain, holding up two Warhammers sucked, but holding two in each hand was even worse. It was midday and it was the first day at the training camp. He had Tiger and Pixie-Bob training him; Tiger for the physical strength aspect and Pixie-Bob for the quirk part. He had to lift weapons as weights and do abnormal exercises for his strength, while he had to constantly shift his weapons and create new ones constantly. He was exhausted, his improved stamina from his time with Edgeshot couldn't stand up to their training regimen that they had given him. Mandalay saw his little training exercise and so after everything was done and over with he had to do that forcing himself to keep the dagger in existence until he went to bed.
"Lunch time!" He heard Tiger yell and he sighed instantly letting the Warhammers drop to the ground, dissolving before they left a dent in the dirt. He rubbed his sore muscles but created a dagger and started to mess with it, tossing it in the air before catching it letting it spin. He dodged a sudden stream of water from Kota and he laughed.
"You almost got me there." He called and the boy stepped out looking determined but excited.
"I'll get you before the end of this week!" The boy said as he walked with Midoirya before getting mesmerized by the knife flipping in the air. The two had struck up a deal that morning, Midoirya saw the kid using his quirk and came up with an idea when the boy started to look defeated. If he was able to train his quirk and hit the older boy with it, then he would show him his wings again. The boy saw the armor once and was instantly infatuated with them, confused at the mechanical appearance. The two arrived at the dining area and began to help with lunch, Kota filling pots with water while he used the knife to cut up the vegetables and other ingredients while Momo also helped him out. The two were slightly frustrated at how busy they were and couldn't really spend any time together so they made sure to spend at least meals with each other.
"Midoriya!" He heard his name called and looked at Pixie-Bob, he let his knife dissolve and cleaned off his hands before conjuring another knife to practice with before walking over to the heroine. "I think it's time you work on those special moves of yours, that armor and you call it a domain expansion right?" He nodded in confirmation and she nodded. "See what's changed with the Domain Expansion first, then I want you to try to figure out how to summon only different parts of the armor. It's easier to summon a whole than a part, so it will challenge your control more than anything." She said, as he nodded again, smiling at the idea of being able to summon only parts of his armor, he actually never thought of it before. He walked back over to Momo, and started to talk to her again.
"So how's training going?" She asked as he started to cut the ingredients again, even though he used weapons all the times she was shocked by the amount of knife skills that he had, but then again he was rather good at cooking.
"Good, basically just strength training mixed with quirk training mixed with a lot of stamina training. What about you?" He asks and puts the chopped ingredients into separate bowls for Bakugou to use as he was cooking with Uraraka at the moment for the classes.
"Just a lot of what you're doing, but I'm also eating as much as I can so that way I can have more to create things from if that makes sense." Momo says as she stretches as they walk away as they finished their job and went to sit down under a tree for a bit until they got to eat. Midoriya nods as they walk and sits down leaning his back against the tree and Momo sits in front of him slightly letting her back rest against his chest. He wraps his arms around her and smiles, able to relax for the first time in a while since the morning. "So, when we get back we do have the weekend to ourselves, what do you wanna do?" She asked, letting her head drop back onto his shoulder as she watched the clouds.
"I don't know. We could go shopping for some new clothes, I've been wanting to get some stuff for dates and stuff. Or we could go to a cafe or restaurant?" He said as he closed his eyes enjoying the slight breeze blowing through his hair as she nodded as best as she could. "We haven't gone out in a while so we could probably do a few things while we're out." He says simply and lays there, letting his arms pull her closer to him. They simply laid there waiting for someone to call them for lunch and managed to get up and drag themselves to the benches before digging in. Even if Midoirya was a great cook, Bakugou wasn't going to allow him to cook with him, trying to prove he was better at cooking. After an incredibly short time, they had to split off again and continue their training, Midoirya sighed and kissed Momo before walking to his clearing between Tiger and Pixie-Bob.
Midoriya groaned as he flopped on the bed, the training he had done today was worse than normal. Parts of the armor, weapons, and strength training all in one go was insane but it was in the middle of the week and he had made some major improvements over the last three days. His stamina for his quirk came back quicker than ever and the amount he had was immense, he really had to thank his teachers and instructors after this. That didn't mean he wasn't dead tired, and his arms felt like they were going to fall off though.
"Midoriya, you alright?" Kirishima asked, walking in and sitting on his own bed as the green teen nodded. They had a special event today and he had no idea what it was going to be, he was grateful that he had taken a quick shower, it gave him some more time to be able to rest his body. When the Wild, Wild Pussycats found out just how deep his stamina stores went they increased his training even more and pushed him more and more.
"Yea, I'm just resting until the special reward comes tonight or whatever." He said waving to some of his classmates as they walked in, a few members of 1-B waving back at him. "But for now, I'm gonna just lay here until someone carries me out." Laughing with some of the students. "Sorry if it seems like I'm rubbing it in, I'm just…. Really tired." He muttered and let his face drop back into his pillow, as the red headed teen just shakes his head acknowledgement but not minding whatsoever. He saw the training Midoriya had to do, he was not jealous of the guy that was for sure.
"C'mon Lazy Bones, get up, time to go." Midoriya heard from his girlfriend and dragged himself up to stand and stretch before leaving with everyone who was able to participate. He stretched his arms as they walked, just enjoying time with her until they got to the main clearing. The Wild, Wild Pussycats and Aizawa were waiting for the students, and slowly more and more students came into the clearing. Midoriya just yawned and stretched again waiting for something to happen.
"Alright!" Mandalay called getting the attention of most of the students, the last few getting nudged by their respective friends. "We're going to play a game of hide and seek!" She paused as some of the students just groaned just wanting to go back inside instead. "But…" She paused for dramatic effect. "You can use your quirks in any capacity!" She said smiling as the students seemed more ready to go with it now. Midoirya smiled widely before stretching and taking off his shirt, he knew exactly where he was going to go. He might actually get a nap in too if he had any say in it. "Kuroiro, you'll be the one to seek first everyone else can leave to go hide!" As soon as she finished Midoirya shot off in his armor, leaving everyone stunned at the disappearance of the green haired teen and his girlfriend who was suddenly gone too. Aizawa sighed before waving them off to go hide.
"Go… just go…" He sighed before shaking his head, the problem child certainly didn't have a lack of reaction time.
Momo laughed as she was in Izuku's arms, she told him not to do it but he did it anyway to show off. She rolled her eyes but clung to him tightly as they got up into the tree line, yelping lightly as he shot up at a 90 degree angle up a tree. He slowed down as he stopped about three-quarters of the way up the gigantic tree, he set her down before stepping onto the branch letting the armor drop away dissolving before it hit the ground. He sat down and pulled her close as they looked into the sunset before they laughed as they relaxed.
"You're an idiot. Why did you have to take your shirt off?" Momo laughed as he just laughed harder for some reason. She wasn't gonna lie that it was nice that he did it, she loved the feeling of his muscles.
"Because. I know you like it." He smirked as the girl before him turned red at the implication. "Plus if I'm an idiot what does that make you? Cause you are dating said idiot." He chuckled as she hit his shoulder as best as she could.
"I guess I'm one too." She sighed as she relaxed against him, she was able to only relax because he had his arms around her ensuring that she wouldn't fall. If that wasn't the case she was sure that she would have been petrified. They sat like that for a while before noticing a glinting out of the corner of her eye towards a cliff, hitting her eyes. "What the hell?" She muttered before creating a spyglass, as Izuku looked at her weirdly before he turned to see what she was looking at. She paled and handed the spyglass to him, and he let out a deep growl. Beside a few figures that were looking over the camp was the warp villain from the USJ. Kurogiri. The League of Villains has arrived.
