AIR FORCE HERO

Chapter 7: Quirk Combat Practice 101 (Part 1)

After having a nice, and quiet lunch with the rest of the Kurodai's class, and listening to some of Rachel's story on how she and Floyd almost set a laboratory in the Atom on fire by accident, Izuku himself was getting ready for the new activity that his new homeroom teacher, Kurodai himself, set up for everyone. However, he didn't even ask, so as of now.

He was feeling anxious.

As in so anxious, he can't even feel himself to calm his nerves down and he was staring at the ground in silence. Whatever activity, or training regardless, that Kurodai has planned for the class will probably just end him up just like the time he was forced to take a physical test to use his Quirk. And right now, he started to guess many answers on what will the activity be. Right now, he hoped it's ten laps around the field.

But if there's one thing that he should remember is that: In joining the military, you have to be ready for anything they'll give you. No matter what it is, he needs to get ready for it and deal with it.

A foot was placed beside where Izuku is seated on the bench. The latter shook his mind off as he sees Alex, now in his Hero costume, which only consisted a dirty white sleeveless t-shirt, two black-colored forearm pads with a symbol of a snake's head which is colored acid green, military cargo pants, and combat boots for his lower limbs. And he wears a mask for his mouth, which looked detailed by him, judging from the small smiling face detail and a skull-like band logo with it.

"Hey, Midoriya. Feeling okay there?" Alex asked as he checked into his bag. "You looked nervous there."

"O-Oh, uh… I'm fine. There's no need to worry about me." The green-haired boy reassured with a shy smile, still making him feel new to the other students like the acid-spitter student.

"Okay, if you said you're fine, then you're fine. Well, gotta go. Tell Floyd I'm leaving for the transport bus to arrive." Alex told as he rushed to the bus stop. Izuku was about to ask him something else but decided not to.

Floyd got out from the locker room, now in his Hero costume. His costume consisted of a simple blue and brown wet suit for his body, with a chest guard, that's in a different shape, around his left side. He's also wearing dark blue pants with knee pads that are made with some sort of armor-like material, black gloves, and brown boots. And his bow, which he uses for his Quirk, is placed around his back as storage.

"Did you see Alex, Midoriya? I told him to wait for me while getting ready at the bathroom." The street-smart archer asked.

"He already left. He didn't even say anything before leaving." Izuku responded.

"Great, so much for telling him many times to wait for me before leaving," Floyd growled a bit in annoyance, right until he faced his attention to Midoriya. "So, you were told by Kurodai to wait here until Sunuzu arrives with… something important?"

"Yeah. That's exactly what he said. He even told me that it has something to do with the gloves for my Quirk." Izuku was actually holding the two Support Item gloves, designed to make sure he doesn't injure his hands when activating his Quirk.

"Well, I bet It's a Hero costume. Besides, I think you're aware that some costumes get pretty useful for Quirks, and not just by how fashionable they look." Floyd pointed out.

"Yeah, you're kinda right and… Wait, what does this have to with me having a Hero costume?" Izuku asked, who wanted to know what's so important having a Hero costume in the military.

"Well, since we're Pro Hero Agents, and you included, the government made sure that Hero costumes are mandatory to be used both as a student and an Agent. The difference is, according to them, it acts as a uniform on the battlefield, or outside the base for missions."

"So, it's like what the Pro Heroes are doing?" Izuku guessed.

"Yeah, something like that." Floyd sighed annoyingly. "To be honest, they really don't know what they're actually saying, so I don't tend to mind it since it's basically a normal thing that the KMA is doing. Well, I gotta go in case if I missed the bus." He started to dash off.

Midoriya was about to get his attention but decided not to. He closed his eyes and sighed in despair, as he felt like this activity that he'll encounter will be a lot more nightmarish since he is in the military just to clarify himself. He knew that he couldn't handle fighting off Nomus, or dealing with a staff member in the Atom base with a powerful Quirk. All he can do is hope that today won't be that much of a life-taking experience.

"Hey, any chance you happen to be Izuku Midoriya?"

"Yes, I'm Izuku Midoriy-AAAHHHH!" the green-haired boy yelled as he noticed a creepy girl with half-lidded, dark eyes standing in front of him, which made got him spooked.

Realizing what he did, he immediately apologized. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were here! I just got scared when appeared like that!" he said while bowing rapidly.

She see this as a laughing matter, but knowing her tired expression, she just laughed lightly. "It's fine, Midoriya… I'm actually sorry though, sometimes I usually scare people when I'm around… Probably it's because of my tired face…" she spoke as if she sounded sleepy.

"But still, I should apologize. I didn't mean to act like that in front of you. You just caught me off guard." Izuku still felt ashamed for what he did.

"Again, it's fine…" she reassured again. "Anyway, I came here to give you, your first Hero costume…"

"Wait, so this what Kurodai-sensei meant by waiting here for someone," Izuku asked himself.

"Well, that, and the fact that wherever you're gonna go will be a lot far to travel to, and I don't like it when I leave the lab…" Sunuzu nonchalantly said with a smile. "Anyway… this Hero costume is designed to have an armor-like material for protection and durability… And of course, you have here a pair of boots in case you landed on the ground with your feet in tight situations, but don't worry, these boots will protect your legs from breaking your fall too…"

Izuku grabbed his first Hero costume and analyzed its glorious texture. "Wow, this is incredible! But how did you make this without a Hero Costume Department, and… why do I have a feeling that these looked familiar?"

"Well, you're in a KMA base, everything we have is all advance technology, so I created your costume with advanced tech…" she explained, as she snorted after. "Also, I found a page in your notebook about a costume similar to All Might's..."

"Amazing! No wonder this is how it feels like to have a – Wait, did you just say you found my notebook?" Izuku said, wanting to know if she is true.

"Well, I had to act fast… Also, the janitor robots found an abandoned notebook with your name on it in the gym locker rooms…" she stated the reason why she was able to the costume.

"Wait, what?"

"Doesn't matter now…" Sunuzu shook it off. "Oh, before I forget, that costume isn't just the first one you'll be wearing, but it's also the first prototype, so make sure that the costume doesn't get completely torn apart."

"Got it," Izuku replied, as he now knows he needs to take care of his costume very well.

"And one more thing, you happen to have your first class with Kurodai-san, right?"

Izuku nodded.

"Well, he did tell me that I can run you down on how to use your gloves, if that's fine with you. That way, you won't break them." Sunuzu offered him a chance. "

"Sure. I think I still have time… Uh…" Izuku tried to guess her name. "I'm sorry, but you haven't told me your name."

"Sunuzu… Sunuzu Kayama… It's nice to meet you…" she greeted. "Now, let's not waste time... And let me help you with your new weapons."

At the hangar bay, Kurodai's class is all formed as they all wait for both their teacher and their new classmate. Knowing that they haven't arrived yet and some of them looked bored, they all waited by the benches to pass the time, while some are busy with their phones, waiting, or just simply waiting for two more people like usual.

Rachel's Hero costume consisted of an armor chest plate, that's inside her long-sleeved shirt that hugged her curves, that's golden-colored which is something similar to what a Greek goddess would wear. The Scottish student wears a pair of forearm guards that are carrying two sticks on the holsters. Aside from wearing short shorts that are black, she's also wearing a pair of white leggings and a pair of boots that are above her feet. She even has a small bandolier that's wrapped on her left which is carrying three smoke grenades.

Setsuna's costume resembles to an actual sniper's uniform in most militaries, despite her having a sniper rifle with her. However, there were some changes to her costume idea. She wears a normal, with a mix of green and light grey, jacket with the sleeves folded up to her forearm, which has paintable shoulder pads in the color of her hair, which is actually exposing some curves on her body. She's also wearing a pair of camo green fitted pants and a pair of black low-heeled boots and black digit-less gloves. In addition, she wears a pair of goggles that has red and blue lenses and has a sheath for her sniper rifle.

"Ugh…!" Setsuna got bored of waiting as she leaned back on the bench. "I'm getting bored here! We've been sitting here for about fifteen minutes! When's Kurodai-san coming here?! And is Midoriya even coming?"

"Relax, Setsuna. I'm sure that Kurodai-san's busy since he's also part of the science division in the Atom." Floyd said until his face shifted to a suspicious-looking one. "Although come to think of it, I wonder what's Midoriya taking so long."

"Hey guys, sorry if I'm late. Putting on this costume is a lot harder than I thought it was. Hope I'm not late." Izuku came as he apologized for being the only one late.

"Don't sweat it, Midoriya, I'm pretty sure that it's just a – Woah…" Rachel spoke, as she stopped when she was amazed at how the green-haired boy looked like in his costume.

As the rest are amazed at Midoriya's costume, Setsuna's attention was caught last as she looked stunned for a second. "Wow, Greeny. I didn't expect this to be a costume challenge. But if it were one, you'd be the top winner in my book."

"You don't think it looks too… obvious to any of you?" Izuku asked, not wanting the unwanted attention.

"Dude, are kidding us? That costume has got to be like from a legendary Pro Hero's!" Alex complimented, as he was liking the way how Izuku's costume looked like.

Izuku's hero costume looks sturdier and more combat-ready from its appearance. His costume is a full, dark-green jumpsuit, a dark blue and red belt, elbow and knee pads that are also dark-green, and wears military combat boots that have the same color as his normal red shoes, except they had black lines for detail. To top it all, he carries with him a lightweight helmet, where the helmet has visible lenses for his eyes to be seen and a diamond-shaped respirator with three horizontal lines that are holes and has two pointed spikes on the top sides, and said helmet is also all clad in dark-green. And to add for the final touch, he's wearing his Support Item gloves, with a hard-molded plastic-like material in the knuckles with a circular shape in the middle.

He looked like a combination of both a Pro Hero and an actual military soldier. It, just like what the others said, it looked so good in him.

"Uh… Well… Thanks." Izuku tried to say something else but instead thanked them for the compliments. Goes to show that aside from being spooked or getting confronted by women, he doesn't really do well with compliments, but not in a bad way. He's super shy.

"Come on, can't handle a few compliments, Midoriya?" Setsuna guessed with a grin on her face. She got a bit closer to the green-haired boy. "Come on… of all the costumes we have, you look like a real hero. Even All Might would look like that." He chuckled a bit.

Izuku was fully flustered by both what she said, and the grinning girl being close to him. "W-Well, y-y-you see, I-I-I'm a fan of A-All Might so that's why it l-looked like this." He said all that while looking away.

However, this made Setsuna snort, and followed by a loud laugh, seeing this as a little entertainment to get rid of her boredom. "Oh, man! I didn't think that'll make you answer that all because of what I just said!" she laughed once again, and Midoriya wasn't insulted by this. He was just completely embarrassed.

"Tokage, I appreciate your little teasing moment with the new student in the Hero Course, but get I need you to get information." This caused Setsuna to stop laughing, and Izuku to notice no other than Kurodai, who walked in the hangar bay and still wearing his costume from earlier.

As everyone noticed their homeroom teacher came in, they all formed in a formation as they all greeted him with a "Kurodai-san sir!" they all salute their homeroom teacher, except for Izuku who just stood in his position of the line.

"At ease, students." They all dropped their hands, as Kurodai began to speak and a transport bus had arrived. "Everyone get on board, we'll be heading to the Mock Field to start for today's activity."

As everyone got on board with exciting looks from their faces since their long wait of fifteen minutes has ended, the First Commander noticed Izuku's costume, and he looked impressed at the way how his student looked.

"Looks like you met Sunuzu when she appeared out of nowhere, huh?" Izuku nodded with a blank look when he mentioned Sunuzu's name. "So… how's the new suit going?"

"It… actually fits like a glove, sensei. I'm actually thankful for having this costume, despite it being a prototype." Izuku thanked Kurodai, "And also for being in your class."

"No need for that, Midoriya. I can easily say I'm thankful for having a student like you in mine." He stated. "But today will get even better for all of you. Trust me."

After traveling in the transport bus for about thirty minutes, Kurodai and his class have already arrived at the Mock Field. The Mock Field is similar to a basic and normal gym, except it's not like the physical test room where Izuku went earlier. The place entire looked like a giant baseball stadium and had some buildings set as a makeshift city to train the Agents-in-Training how to deal with the threats they'll be facing if they're ready.

As everyone all boarded out of the bus, Kurodai began to announce some news. "Today, the reason why I brought you all here in the hangar bay is that that today, you'll all be training how to learn hand-to-hand combat, both using your Quirks and just your fists and legs."

The students sighed in relief and smiled that they'll be just doing combat training. For Izuku, however, he wasn't really ready for this kind of thing to happen all a sudden. He doesn't even know how to fight, and he still hasn't been able to master in using his Quirk for the time being. Basically, right now in his mind, he's gonna fail in the activity.

"Before we all start, does anyone have any questions?" Kurodai asked, and saw a hand. "Yes, Kennedy?"

"Will there be anyone who will train us?" A very interesting question coming from the street-smart archer.

"Interesting question. The person that will be coaching, and monitoring, you will be a well-known Pro Hero that's also been part of the military as a substitute teacher." Kurodai corrected. "You will all be fighting –"

"HAHAHA! No need for the sudden introductions, Kurodai-san." A voice rang to the students, who smiled as they all know whose voice could that be. Izuku was the only surprised to know who it is. "Don't worry, students of the Atom…" a tall muscular man appeared out of nowhere as he shows off his signature smile to everyone's excited faces.

"FOR, I AM HERE-BLEAAGGHH!" Unfortunately, the tall muscular man's physique body was immediately transformed into its true form, which is an average height man, whose body is almost squeezed out to reveal his skeleton and the clothes that he was wearing a second ago looked baggy in his form.

The students, however, received shocked looks and terrified expressions, mainly from Izuku, but he looked paler from what he just witnessed.

Kurodai groaned, "All Might, how many times do the doctors have to say this?" he felt sorry for the skinny blonde man and annoyed that he somehow overused himself in activating his Quirk.

"Kurodai, just because I'm a retired Pro Hero who used up all of my strength that forced me to retire forever, doesn't mean I shouldn't use my Quirk to bring a light and hope for the people, especially if that's the new generation of Heroes." All Might dramatically, somehow, said with pride.

Kurodai just stood there, looking like he saw enough. "Right… Anyway, class, this is the man that will be coaching and monitoring you at the same time for today's activity. All Might."

"Good afternoon, All Might-san." Everyone greeted.

"Please, just call me All Might. I won't mind." The former No. 1 reassured and waved his hand to greet them. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you, especially that all of you are the future of Pro Hero Agents." He smiled.

"Alright everyone, I think that settles it for the greetings of our guess. Everyone except for Midoriya, heads to the entrance of the Mock Field. I'll meet you all there once we're ready." He ordered his students, except for the green-haired boy, to get ready. Midoriya approached the for No. 1 with a happy face of a fanboy, which actually got the latter's attention.

"Uhm… is there something I can help – " as he turned his attention to Izuku, his eyes widened as he remembered something. "Wait, I remember you. You're –"

"You're All Might! Also known as the Symbol of Peace!" and thus, Midoriya has begun his fanboying habit to the former No. 1. "I've heard about your adventures during your time as a Pro Hero! You're even the number one Pro in the Hero Rankings lists, next to Endeavor, Hawks, and several other Pros! I heard that there were rumors that you retired after using the Quirk that got you to stop using it! Is it true that your Quirk works when you charge your arm? Do really have a flying Quirk? Is it true that you were caught in an accident by a group of terrorists, or was just Crust who dealt with them? Or how about the time when you assisted Star and Stripes during an issue in America? And You were really the one who fought the Nomu back at the USJ incident? Or how about that one time where you…"

As the green-haired boy kept on rambling and rambling about questions involving All Might, the latter felt like he can't control him, as if he is a walking tornado that can't be stopped with anything.

"Midoriya!" Kurodai raised his voice a bit to get his attention.

"Eek!"

"I know that you have a lot of questions for him, but I think it's best you save them for later. There will be a time for that, and it won't be used and wasted for today's activity."

"R-Right! I'm sorry, Kurodai-sensei." He bowed, realizing that his second habit was let loose like a gun without its safety on.

"So… I know you're wondering why I told you to stay here for a while." Kurodai started. "Well… this going to be a bit surprising for you, but… All Might said that one, he'll be training you how to use your Quirk. And two, he even said that –"

"I know you from right before the terrorists attacked the Atom." All Might finished his sentence. "From what Kurodai said in the first part, it is true, Young Midroiya, I'll be training you how to use your Quirk before you could use them for today's activity."

"Really? This is the first time that this is happening to me! I can't wait to tell this to my mom and—" realizing what he did again, Midoriya stopped. "I'm very sorry again, it's a force of habit. I'll be very glad to be trained under your wing, All Might." He sounded very grateful that he will be trained under his idol. It sounded like a dream come true.

"But there's one more thing. How come the other isn't joining us?" Izuku mentioned to his classmates, who are now being formed at the entrance.

"Since you're a new addition to the Hero Course, they've been training so hard how to use their Quirks and know how to use hand-to-hand combat, so it's easy to say that they're prepared for this than you. No offense." Kurodai explained.

"I see."

"Well, I'll leave you two be now. I need to attend with the rest. You can get in once you're called." Kurodai instructed and left, leaving the green-haired boy and the former No.1 Pro outside.

"Well… now that it's just the two of us, I say we should start now while we still have time." All Might noted. "Let's try using your Quirk outside with a lot more space."

Izuku nodded in agreement with his idea starting to train his Quirk in a more, larger area. Besides, he wouldn't love it to cause some property damage.

The two are now outside the Mock Field. Where the entire area is surrounded by nothing but a few scrapped metals that are lying around the area, and some Nomu skeletons as well. And judging from all of them, there could have been a Nomu attack inside the base when they tried to detain it.

"To start for today's first training with me, I've read your Quirk info in the documents of the Atom. And basically, your Quirk is almost similar as mine, young Midoriya." All Might explained.

"How is that possible? Your Quirk is just releasing a gust of wind with a powerful pressure build-up. Mine is different from yours." Izuku pointed out his own knowledge on how his Quirk and his works.

"Correct you are, Midoriya." All Might said. "However, in case if you don't know, there could be a possibility in where a person could damage themselves with using One For All."

"Wait…" Izuku knows what he means. "You mean—"

"Yes, my boy." He sadly said. "One For All is a very powerful Quirk that I had in me for years… until I used all of its remaining power that's in me. There's a possible theory that it can be passed down to anyone. But, the chances are that it will kill a person if it's not used right, mostly by breaking their bones, or exploding."

Izuku had a horrified look on his face, as he now sees what kind of Quirk like that could do to a person if not used properly. He was actually lucky to have a Quirk of his own, but when he activated them in the attempt, nothing bad happened to him. However, as he remembered how it works, then it could be similar to One For All.

"However, yours is not something like mine. So, there's nothing to be worried about." All Might reassured as he lightened up the mood. "You see, your Quirk gets activated and let its energy flow through where you want to emit it onto. The only difference is, you have to concentrate."

"Concentrate how?"

"Well, not literally speaking. It's like you need to hold enough in order to not get out of control, and it will save you from getting your hands getting all sore and swollen when using it many times. You see, during your physical test, it states that you immediately emitted your Quirk, which also caused you an injury. To put it simply: Your Quirk has only one disadvantage, and that is getting your hands in pain."

Izuku understands now. He now understands why he needs to wear a pair of Support Item gloves for his Quirk. Again, he was lucky to have All Might to help how to use his Quirk.

"So, how do I start using my Quirk?" Izuku asked, feeling ready to use his Quirk properly.

"Okay, to start, try activating your Quirk." Izuku nodded as he followed his instructor, which caused his right arm to create green lightning sparks around it. "Good. Now, let its energy flow around your arms, and go to your hand."

Izuku concentrated as he allow the green sparks on his arms to let it flow like it's part of him. He can already feel his hand aching as his face shifted to a painful look, which also means he wanted to stop.

But suddenly, his hand blasted an air bolt immediately. Izuku touched his hand in pain as he gritted his teeth.

"Agh!" Izuku exclaimed in pain. "I don't think I can take it." He weakly said.

"That's alright, young Midoriya. It's a slow and steady process, but as long as you keep doing it, then it won't be much of a problem for you." He reassured. "Now, try again."

Izuku nodded with determination. He wanted to make this right so he won't get himself hurt. He let the green sparks surround his arm once again, as he lifted his arm in a firing position. Once the sparks surrounded his hand, he already felt a sting in his hand in a few seconds.

But it didn't make him stop at all, as he was trying to reduce all the pain that he is taking.

Unknown to him, a half ball of air formed in Izuku's palm through his glove. All Might watched as he saw this as progress that will be complete anytime soon. As he watched him flow the energy, he can also tell that Midoriya is concentrating his best to let the energy keep going.

"Good… good. You're now getting the hang of it." All Might said. "Now, release two air shots."

Izuku followed as he tried to release an air shot on his hands, but nothing happened. Since he knew how to let the energy keep on flowing, he doesn't know how to shoot it. He remembered that he just emitted his Quirk when he couldn't hold it in, and something like a reaction when he felt his hand in pain.

So, what he did instead is that he did some sort of hand movement by lifting his hand a bit, which caused one air bolt to be shot out, sending it directly towards a Nomu's skull, cracking it due to its force.

All he needed to do is repeat the same thing again, just to make sure.

He immediately lifted his hand back again by shooting one more air bolt. This time, it was shot on a metal piece, which created a dent in the process.

Izuku smiled. He didn't feel any pain after using his Quirk in about two minutes. He smiled proudly as he was able to use his Quirk without damaging himself.

All Might to smile, as he watched the young boy, being able how to use his Quirk anytime he wants, instead of just activating and emitting it until it repeats over and over. He can tell that Izuku has potential in using his Quirk after all.

"How did I do?" Izuku asked, turning to All Might.

All Might could only give out these words. "I think you did well there for a good start, my boy." He stated, without a lying tone coming out in each word he said. "But before you get in there, let me teach you how to fight. Let's try some simple, basic hand-to-hand combat first."

"Sure, where do I start?" Izuku asked, not even feeling exhausted by just learning how to use his Quirk a moment ago. He was really eager to learn more, especially if it's hand-to-hand combat.

"Let's start by using a stack of tires as a dummy. Some of the fighting skills I'll be teaching you are similar to what I used during my prime."

He's got a lot to learn.

But that's Izuku Midoriya. He doesn't stop learning.

Inside the Mock Field, Kurodai is seated in the observation room of the field, with a tablet-like device in his hands, as he watches three of his students perform today's activity. Kurodai kept watching, despite doing other stuff like drinking his mug of coffee. He was heavily focused on his students' performance.

In the large field, a glowing, blue arrow was shot straight on a robot's head and was later kicked away by a foot that was from Floyd. The street-smart archer immediately fired two arrows from his Quirk, which created some sort of zipline that made them hit straight to each other. Then, he noticed a squad of robots coming at him, so he created an arrow that exploded when he fired it. The explosion wasn't that big, but it looked similar to how a grenade would do. He then noticed that there was a robot that mysteriously launched behind him, but luckily, he used his trained combat which is mixed martial arts along with his arrow Quirk. He grabbed and pushed the robot to the ground, pin it with his knee to prevent it from escaping, and immediately put it down with an arrow that he created, stabbing it in the chest.

Floyd got up and removed the arrow on the robot's chest, and let out a chuckled breath. "Heh. When does Kurodai-san ever learn? These robots are so easy to deal with." He said as he used the same arrow as he aimed it to his left.

Floyd Kennedy, AKA The Solar Archer Hero: Apollo. His Quirk: Solar Arrow. He can create magic-like arrows from his left hand! He can also create any type of arrow he wishes! However, he needs enough sunlight to recharge at any second. It makes him look like a solar panel!

As Floyd shot his arrow, it went straight to another robot, which already short-circuited, who's behind Rachel's back. Floyd witnessed that there is a small army of robots that Rachel and Alex are dealing with. The street-smart archer tried manifesting another arrow, but it only sprouted its head, which disintegrated afterward.

"Great. Out of power." He said to himself as he created a zipline arrow, which is his last use. "Guess I'm recharging then."

Back to the other two students, Rachel and Alex are fighting off against the robots with their trained, preferred combat, along with the use of their Quirks. Rachel is battling the robots using Muay Thai techniques, where she repeatedly punched the robot with her gloves on the abdomen and delivered a right kick that sent the robot to another. Realizing that she was about to get cornered, she grabbed a smoke grenade and detonate it on the ground, as it released a large red smoke which clouded the robots' vision.

Suddenly, they all can hear a faint sound that started to rise higher. The robots tried to find Rachel and where the sound is coming from, despite being in the red cloud. However, the sound turned into a loud, high pitch that could destroy someone's eardrums, and the robots were affected by it. And by a split second, the robot's head created a small explosion, making them lie on the ground.

Once the red cloud started to disperse, Rachel is revealed hiding behind them, who is also holding a flute in her hands and was the one who played the high pitch. Knowing how flutes work, once it created a high pitch, it just gets louder and annoying when it goes on, but hers isn't, and it could be the works of her Quirk.

"Can't believe that still worked!" the Scottish flute user said with a satisfied smile. "These robots are more useless than a blind Nomu."

Rachel Fenris, AKA The Siren Pipe Hero: Killer Piper! Her Quirk: Nova Pipe. She can deafen, hypnotize, or even paralyze a person or a group through the brain! Her Quirk works when she's playing a wind instrument, in order for her destructive talent to get put to use!

Alex on the other hand was dealing with the robots in a very rough matter, and some of them were destroyed as they are covered with some sort of green acidic liquid. He used kickboxing and enough force to destroy the robots, even if it was tiring him out. Luckily, his arms are protected by the same forearm guards that he's wearing, which transformed them into brass knuckles.

"Yeah! Haha!" Alex happily punched the robots, with no mercy and enough stamina. "Take that! And that! And that! And- Oomph!" he was pushed away by a robot, sending him to the ground.

Alex looked as he witnessed a small of group robots are about to get closer to him. Knowing how exhausted he looks from all the punching, he decided to resort to one thing: His Quirk.

He spits out a large acidic-like vomit from his mouth, and through the mask itself. The vomit was shot out like a garden hose which sprayed all the robots, letting them turn into loose parts as they all fell to the ground melting slowly.

"Take that, you bucket of scraps!" Alex shouted in joy. His face shifted to an unpleasant expression.

Alex Cides, AKA The Acid Skunk! His Quirk: Acid Spit! He can spit, or vomit, his gastric acids into a devastating power that can melt anything in an instant! However, one downside is that it'll make his stomach growl in pain if he keeps using it, which is happening to him right now!

Right now, the acid-spitting user is on the ground, groaning in pain as his stomach started to growl, which is what the downside of his Quirk looked like. Guess what happened when he used his Quirk on the other robots earlier.

That's when the alarms were set off.

Everyone inside the Mock Field stopped right before they heard it. They all had exhausted looks on their faces, but Floyd was the only one smiling in relief that he won't be fighting more robots while recharging his Quirk.

Kurodai entered the Mock Field. "Alright, Team A. I see that some of you did well just like last year, however, there's gonna be some changes after all in how you performed now. So, it's time to clear the area. Team B will take over." He ordered as the three students left the field.

As everyone is started to leave, they witnessed Setsuna in the waiting area. They both noticed her, and her alone, meaning that Izuku hasn't arrived yet. But that didn't matter at all, what mattered is that she had an impressed look on her face.

"Guess you guys did really well just like last year," Setsuna spoke. "Except for the fact that I'm not with all of you makes me feel left out and jealous at the same time." She joked.

"I can tell exactly your joking, mate." Rachel retorted. "Besides, you should be happy right now."

"Why?" Setsuna asked.

"Hello, it's pretty obvious!" Alex joined in the conversation. "You might be going solo with your sniper skills! You're the only one her with a good eye, and great Quirk for your gun."

Setsuna lifted a brow, "I always thought that I'll go solo for once." She guessed. "No offense and all, I'd never taken you for the brightest bulb around the group," Setsuna stated.

"Hey! It only happens sometimes! And you know that I'm always not prepared for anything!" Alex defended himself.

"Come on, that's enough." Floyd joined in as he stopped the small argument. "We need to get going so Setsuna can get ready. Good luck by the way."

"Thanks, I really need it." She said back as she saw her classmates walk off. Then, she stood up, grabbed her rifle, and let out a breath of air from her mouth. "Okay… let's get this started."

Meanwhile, Izuku, who's at the entrance bay of the Mock Field with All Might, watched a recording of Team A's performance. He was so amazed as he got to see his new classmates show off their Quirks in combat, and how they use them makes them look trained in case if they'll have to deal with the issues outside the base.

"Wow… They're incredible out there. They're so good at combining their Quirks with their combat skills and strategy. I wonder how are they good at it." Izuku analyzed everything from the recording.

All Might, who's beside him, replied back. "It's called training and teamwork, young Midoriya. They trained so hard to do well, that they were able to pull off an excellent performance. And teamwork is the most important thing in joining the KMA as an Agent."

Unknown to the two, Setsuna already entered the entrance bay. She looked at Izuku quietly she witnessed that he too doesn't have a partner. She kind of felt bad just to see Izuku being the only one performing since she remembered how happy she was when she teamed up with her other classmates last year. She can even hear the conversation as Midoriya kept ranting at how their Team A's efforts are shown.

So, instead, she decided to team up with him, for the sake of trying something new. Just like the old saying: old habits die hard. Except that it's her and the new student. And, she had other ideas in her head that made her form a sly smile on her face, but it was good intentions.

"Hey, Greeny!" Setsuna called out, and Izuku turned his attention to Setsuna, who didn't even look scared when she appeared. "Sorry for disturbing your conversation with All Might, but is it cool if I can be your partner? I… don't really like going out solo for today." She lied, but she hoped it will make him buy it.

"S-Sure, Tokage-san! I-I can be your partner!" Izuku nervously accepted. Normally, he wouldn't let it happen for himself, but since he witnessed Team A's efforts, he thought that it'll be best to have a partner with him.

"Alright, thanks," Setsuna exclaimed. "And you don't have to call me by my surname. Setsuna's fine. Besides, we know each other, and we're partners today."

"O-Oh. Uh… o-okay, if you say so."

"That's what I like to hear." Setsuna smiled. "Come on, we need to get going." She started to walk to the entrance.

"Right. I'll meet you there for a second." Izuku turned his attention to All Might after. "Thank you again for training me, All Might."

"I'm deeply welcomed, young Midoriya." All Might thanked. "Now go out there, and show me what you got. Remember, I'll be monitoring you, so just do your best." He gave him a thumbs up, which made Midoriya nod.

Izuku dashed his way inside to the field as he noticed its huge interior, making the latter gawk in amazement. He never knew that the KMA will build something like that for the future of Pro Hero Agents.

"Guess you really never seen this before." Setsuna can tell from his reaction, who's also armed and ready with her sniper rifle. "I can tell from that look of yours that you're excited about how will this go, right?"

"Yeah, I'm actually am ready." Midoriya activated his gloves, which glowed green. "I look forward to working together, too."

"Same here, Midoriya." She put on her two-colored googles. "Same here."

"Are you two ready to start the activity?" Kurodai asked, through to the intercom. He saw Setsuna and Izuku give out two thumbs up as a sign. "Okay remember, you only have thirty minutes to complete the activity. If it's already time, then time's up. Get ready."

The two heard him about to start the activity, with Izuku activating his Quirk as green lightning sparks were seen on his arm and Setsuna cocking her rifle with a loaded bullet.

Back in the observation room, Kurodai turned his attention to All Might and asked. "Are you sure you trained Midoriya before the activity started? I mean, I've never seen you train one person, except you being a teacher in UA."

"I'm sure that young Midoriya will do well for today. When I trained him how to fight in combat and use his Quirk properly, I can really see it in his eyes that he is ready." All Might states the positives. "He's got a lot of potential with that Quirk of his."

Then, the alarm blared as a go signal. Izuku and Setsuna prepared themselves, as they witness a swarm of training robots escaping from the other room, and from other buildings.

And thus, a new activity starts for the green-haired protagonist's journey. Will he be able to use the training that he got from All Might? Will he be able to work with Setsuna properly? Find out soon in the next chapter?

Sorry for the long update, I was busy with school work, and I really need to focus on that. But let's not forget that, because today I'm having a two-week vacation or a semestral break for short. So, I might be able to post a new chapter. But I also needed some rest since I just finished a long hell of the final exams in the first semester.

Anyway, as always, please leave a review, and I hope you can wait for the next chapter.
