The sand around him swirled, creating a dome. Glowing green images appeared. Bruno watched as he saw a large storm over Encanto. He could see strong gusts of wind blowing things over and villagers running to their houses for cover. The image changed, and suddenly, the rushing, roaring river appeared. He focused on this image for a moment; this river was what he'd seen in his last vision, afterall.

The trees by the river were bending over in the wind. The image shifted slightly, and now the river was flooding from all the rain.

"Is anyone hurt?" Bruno said to himself. "I need to know if anyone gets hurt…Let's see…" Now he saw a group of kids by the river. He saw them playing there before the storm started. It shifted a little, and then he saw them still there as the river started to flood. One of the kids fell in and got swept away, and another kid stupidly jumped in to go after them. Bruno's heart sank. If anything happened to those kids-

No, no…he had to calm down right now. He had to focus on those two kids who got swept away to see if they'd be okay.

The image started to change again, but before Bruno could get a good look at it, he felt a sharp pang in his head and he cried out in pain. He grasped his head and squeezed his eyes shut, trying to make the sudden head pain go away, but when he opened his eyes again, he saw the vision start to end. He'd lost his concentration.

"No, no, no, don't end now!" But it was too late. The sand swirling above and around him fell to the ground, and his eyes stopped glowing. In front of him laid a green glass tablet showing those two kids getting swept away.

This wasn't good at all. He didn't see how it ended, so for all he knew, those kids were about to drown. He didn't even get a good look at who the kids were, so he wasn't sure who to warn. "Come on, seriously?! It just had to be another bad prophecy, didn't it?" he grumbled to himself.

He felt his head pang again, and the slight burning in his eyes returned. He placed one of his cold hands against his forehead. The disuse of his gift for so long combined with the effects of his involuntary vision were not being very kind to him right now. He also felt completely exhausted, now that he just had two visions in a row.

Great, just great. What a day he was having. Oh how he wished he could go back to the walls right now and just pretend he never saw anything in those visions.

He wished he saw more in that vision so he could actually be of some use. The most he could do right now was warn the villagers. He had to warn Julieta too, let her know in advance that there might be injured kids needing her cooking tomorrow. Maybe even more people that had been injured by the storm/flood too.

Bruno brushed some sand off of his poncho, then winced as he bent down to pick up the glass tablet. A feeling of dread settled in his stomach as he realized what he'd have to do. A good number of the villagers were already at this party, so…Well, now was the best opportunity to warn everyone. He could already see the looks of hate and fear he'd get. How many people would blame him once his prophecy came true tomorrow?

He was used to the hate, though. He was used to being an outcast. If warning everyone to keep them safe meant people would hate them, then he'd take it. He could live with their hate as long as they stayed safe.

The main thing that scared him though, was the thought of his family members thinking he would cause the disaster tomorrow. More than anything, he was terrified of being seen as nothing more than bad luck, a burden, or a curse to his sisters, his nieces, his nephews…His mother… It happened once before, so it could happen again.

He really, really wished that he was able to have more confidence in the love his family had for him, but it was so hard sometimes. It was hard when the villagers saw him as bad luck, a burden, and a curse. It was even harder when he saw himself that way. Years of his gift weighing him down gave him very low self-esteem sometimes. It's where all of his superstitions came from, and it's where all of his other problems began too.

His anxiety told him to just stay in his tower, to just hide away so that no one could blame him for this. It told him not to tell anyone about this, at least no one outside of his family.

But his conscience told him he couldn't. His conscience told him he had to warn everyone in time.

So he would, he would warn everyone…And then quite possibly never leave the house again, haha…He was fine with that though; he was fine with staying in the house for the rest of his life, never taking a step in the village again. They were going to hate him for this, so it would be better that way, both for them and for him.

It was fine. It was fine, really. Really.

(The sad part was that he truly would be fine with never leaving the house again. He felt safer here.)

Within the next minute, Bruno's headache grew even worse than before. His head was killing him, and he barely had the energy to walk to his door, but he had to do this. He had no choice.

So he left his room; he left his tower and stood at the center of the balcony above everyone else at the party. He held up the green tablet.

"I had a new prophecy," he said.
