Chapter 6 Bug Type Capturing
"Professor Cerise." Ash and Serena rush to the Professor, and Ash says, "What's up with the screen on my Rotom Phone?"
Professor Cerise looks at the screen and he says, "Oh, you see, that Pokedex has two functions. The first is to tell you a Pokemon's typing and characteristics, the second is to list the Pokemon you've caught."
"But what about these? I mean...I never caught a Pichu before, but it also shows Pichu..." Ash says.
"That's because it will also record the pre-evolution of the Pokemon to the Pokedex." Professor Cerise says, "That way, you won't need to capture more Pokemon if you want to fill in the Pokedex." Professor Cerise says.
"I see...so I have a Pikachu, which is why it has a Pichu. But Pikachu doesn't want to evolve into a Raichu, so there is no Raichu on my list." Ash says.
"But Ash, if you are going to capturing some Pokemon, what if you can't take care of any of them on your own?" Serena asks with worry.
Ash asks, "Do you have any suggestions?"
Serena smiles, "Since we are already a couple, how about we share our Pokemon? I can use your Pokemon and you can use mine as well."
"That sounds like a good idea." Professor Cerise laughs, "I can help you register your Pokedex into a joint account."
The two trainers thank the Professors, Pikachu, Sylveon, and Scorbunny just tilt their heads with confusion. "Now that it is happening. I'm starting to feel like catching loads of Pokemon to fill out the Pokedex!"
"Then wanna go get some right now?" Serena asks.
"Of course, let's go." Ash adds.
"This way!" Ash says as he urges Serena to come with him as they are now in the Viridian Forest, and they are in awe at the sight of the forest.
"Looks like there'll be loads of Pokemon here!" Serena says.
"I brought tons of Pokeballs, too. So let's start catching." Ash says.
But just then, they hear battling as they rush towards the sound, they see a battle between Pidgeot and Fearow, each Pokemon are fighting fiercely as the couple can only watch in surprise.
"They are still fighting?" Ash can't believe his eyes. "I mean, it was 7 years..."
"You know them?" Serena asks him as he nods.
Ash says, "In fact, the leader was once my Pidgeot." This causes her to gasp. "She is the first female Pokemon I caught."
"Okay." Serena says. "Should we help them?"
"We might as well." Ash says as he yells, "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt." Pikachu fires the attack and it hits Fearow.
Pidgeot notices the trainer as she doesn't know why he helps him, but Fearow is mad that the trainer attacks him, so he tries to give him a Drill Peck, but Pikachu dodges the attack and then takes out the fires the Electro Ball, causing it to fall to the ground.
"Go, Pokeball." Ash then throws the Pokeball and captures the Fearow. "Fearow's data has been added to the Pokedex."
"Ash, are you sure that is a good idea?" Serena asks as they see the Spearow being more aggressive.
Pidgeot steps in front of them and it gives out a squawk, then it lands the Hurricane on the rest of his goons, causing them to fly away from the Route as soon as possible.
Pidgeot lands in front of the two humans and Ash says, "Pidgeot, do you remember me?"
Pidgeot looks at the human in front of her as the trainer who left her here so she can fight with the Spearow and Fearow. It starts to form tears as it hugs him.
"I am sorry." Ash says. "I should have come back for you, but something happened that I couldn't. Oh, and meet my girlfriend Serena."
Pidgeot is surprised that Ash has a girlfriend, but she bows to her as Serena says, "It is nice to meet you."
Ash says, "So Pidgeot, do you want to return to my team?"
Pidgeot nods in agreement, but before she assigns the new leader to protect the forest. After that, Ash captures her.
"Pidgeot's data has been added to the Pokedex." The Pokedex says.
"Good, we got two more Pokemon as well." Ash says.
Serena nods and says, "Let's go catch some more."
Just as they continue to walk in the forest, they see a hunter chasing 2 Butterfree, with one of them being pink colored.
"Oh no, those Butterfree are in trouble." Serena says in horror.
"Not if I have something to say about it." Ash says in anger. "Nobody messes with my Butterfree and his mate."
"Wait, that is your Butterfree?" Serena asks in surprise.
"It is the first Pokemon I have ever caught." Ash says.
Ash then charges forward with Charizard being sent out. And it uses Fire Spin to block the hunter.
"Who are you?" The hunter asks in horror after seeing the Charizard.
"I am here to stop you. That is all you need to know." Ash says coldly.
"I am not going to leave until I catch that Butterfree, don't get in my way!" The hunter yells.
"Too bad, I won't let you capture them." Ash says as Charizard fires Flamethrower and knocks out both the hunter and his Pokemon.
Once the hunter is sent to the police, Ash turns to Butterfree. "Hello, Butterfree, we meet again."
The regular Butterfree recognizes Ash as both he and the female pink Butterfree fly around him, trying to say thank you for him.
"Your welcome." Ash says, "Let me introduce you to my girlfriend, Serena."
The two Butterfree are flying around Serena and she says, "It is nice to meet you as well."
After discussing for a while, the two Butterfree decide to join Ash and Serena's team, Ash and Serena throw the Pokeball and capture them in the end.
"Butterfree's data will be added to the Index!" The Pokedex says.
After recalling their Pokemon, they decide to check out what Pokemon they can find in the place. Ash says, "There are a lot of Bug Pokemon..."
"Then let's try to find some more." Serena says.
As they search for a while, they haven't seen any more Pokemon as they are frowning. "Man...I thought there is going to be a lot more Pokemon..." Ash mutters.
"We can't just give up until it is over." Serena says as they see a Venomoth flying past. Ash says, "Well, there is a Venomoth."
Serena says, "It evolves from Venonat, right? But I always wonder, if we look at the eyes, shouldn't it be better if Venomoth and Butterfree change their appearances?"
"I know what you mean, but that is a question that I'm thinking about as well." Ash sighs.
As they continue to walk, they find some Paras and Parasect on the road, Serena says, "Is it true that they are just corpses controlled by the mushroom? If you think of it, it is really scary."
"I know what you mean." Ash sighs as they go over to inspect a rustling shrub, but are startled to find an aggressive Pinsir who attacks them with its gnashing horns. Serena also arrives and she says, "That's..."
She opens up her Pokedex and it says, "Pinsir, the Stag Beetle Pokémon. A Bug type. When Pinsir's horns clamp onto an opponent, they won't release until it's defeated."
"Pikachu! Use Quick Attack!" Ash yells, and Pikachu hits the Pokemon, but Pinsir traps him and Ash inside a Rock Tomb.
"Ash! Pikachu!" Are you okay?" Serena asks with worry but frightened when the Pinsir is coming at her.
"Don't get close to me!" Serena yells as she closes her eyes, she starts to throw items to keep Pinsir away, and unintentionally captures it in the process. "Pinsir's Data has been added to the Pokedex."
"For real?" Serena says while she is too shocked. "Way a go, Serena." Ash says.
As they continue to walk in the forest, Serena says, "Just watch these Pokemon roaming around is really fun, don't you think, Ash?"
"You bet." Ash says, and they find another Pokemon and it is a Scyther.
"Scyther, the Mantis Pokémon. A Bug and Flying type. The twin scythes on Scyther's forearms can slice through logs in one stroke."
"A flying type with sharp scythes, huh? Ever since I saw Tracy's, I have wanted to have this Pokemon as well." Ash says as he tries to throw the Pokeball, but Scyther slaps it away with its sharp scythes. It then uses Air Slash, and Ash and Pikachu manage to brace themselves, only to see that Scyther is gone.
"Damn it, it got away..." Ash says.
"That Scyther is strong." Serena adds. "Maybe we can capture it next time."
"Yeah." Ash says. "But what other Pokemon can we find around here?"
Serena says, "It says that the Beedrill line can be found here as well."
As they walk back into the forest, they see Kakuna starting to glow as Ash pales, "Oh no...this is not good."
After they evolve into Beedrill, they are readying their stingers to attack them. "Run!" Serena yells as both trainers start to run from the Beedrill.
"They are so fast!" Serena yells. Ash says, "Pikachu, Electro Web!"
Pikachu uses an Electroweb to trap their pursuers, however one Beedrill avoids the trap.
"Tha Beedrill seems to be the strongest! Go!" Serena throws a Pokeball at him and it is captured. "Beedrill's data is added to the Pokedex."
"Beedrill is a cool Pokemon, but I still want that Scyther. It looks very powerful." Ash says.
"Scyther just got away earlier, but we still have a shot." Serena adds.
They decide to go to the Pokemon Center to rest, after Pikachu, Scorbunny and Sylveon as well as the other Bug Type Pokemon are healed, they decide to go find Scyther again.
They finally find the Scyther as Scorbunny tries to trap it, but failed. Serena tries to toss the Pokeball, but it is sent back again. Serena says, "We have only one ball left..."
"Then we have to weaken it first." Ash says as Scorbunny wants to battle. Serena decides to command Scorbunny. "Use Quick Attack!"
Scyther dodges Scorbunny's Quick Attack, and attempts to strike it with an Air Slash which misses.
"Double Kick!" Serena yells as Scorbunny tries to kick the Pokemon, but it fails to hit its mark. Scyther knocks Scorbunny to the ground with a Slash attack.
"Calm down, Scorbunny." Serena says, "it really is fast...but if we approach this calmly, we can do it! Quick Attack!"
Scorbunny delivers a successful kick on Scyther, and Serena says, "Now it's our chance!"
She tosses the Pokeball at Scyther, and in the end, Scyther goes into the Pokeball. "Scyther's Data has been added to the Pokedex."
Ash and Serena hug each other and Ash says, "We did it! Now we've got all Bug Type Pokemon in Kanto!"
"Yeah! That's amazing!" Serena says.
The next morning, Chloe and her father Professor Cerise notice that the couple hasn't come to the dining room. Chloe says, "Isn't it rare for them not to be here for breakfast?"
"Yes...perhaps they're still asleep?" Cerise asks.
The two of them decide to check it out, as they go to their room, only to find it empty, so they decide to check the Park, and they find how Ash and Serena are tired besides a tree with more Pokemon.
"Wow, suddenly there are so many Pokemon in this place." Cerise says, and Ash and Serena notice them.
"Good morning, Professor. I just brought all of our Pokemon here in this lab so that we can have some training as well as bonding with the Pokemon."
"But that sure is a lot of them." Chloe says as she notices 30 Tauros running past. "And why did you have 30 Tauros anyway?" Chloe mutters.
"A mistake that I made in the past, don't ask." Ash sighs. "But I am glad that all the Pokemon are having fun."
"Yeah, we can make our goal to become Pokemon Master closer if we capture all the Pokemon." Serena says, and Chloe is confused at the couple, but she doesn't say anything.
Here is a new chapter, and a lot of people have been asking me about the Pokemon, and Ash and Serena are not going to capture all the Pokemon, but they will get all the final evolved forms in the end. And this chapter is mainly for Bug Type in Kanto. I hope you like this chapter.
