[Viridian City: Kanto Region]

Officer Jenny drove up to a large facility with a large red roof, and in the center of that roof was a pokeball symbol. Jaune knew from the books Ms Delia provided him that all buildings with a red roof and a PokeBall symbol where all part of the Pokemon League, as they were medical facilities that were better known as Pokemon centers!

"Oh thank goodness..."said Jaune as Officer Jenny helped him off the motorcycle and escorted him into the Pokemon center.

There a young looking woman with pink hair, wearing a nurse's outfit quickly approached them with the concern look on her face.

"Oh my goodness! What happened to you young man?!"asked the nurse as Jaune handed her Pikachu.

"Never mind me. Pikachu is the one who needs to get some rest, and while you're out at if it's not too much trouble can you check out these two as well."said Jaune as he handed the nurse the Pokeballs that contained Pidgey and Spearow.

"He was attacked by that flock of Spearow on Route one Nurse Joy."explained Officer Jenny as Nurse Joy just let out a sigh of annoyance.

"Oh no... not again! That is the twentyth time this month that very flock has attacked a poor trainer passing through there."said Nurse Joy, as this is not the first time she has had to deal with that troublesome flock.

"Well I don't think we'll have to worry about them anymore. That Spearow in that young man's PokeBall is the leader of that flock, so I have no doubt without their leader they'll quickly leave to who knows where."said Officer Jenny, who was relieved that she would not longer have to write any more incident reports involving that flock of Spearow.

"Oh thank goodness. You have no idea how much of a favor you have done to me young man as now I don't have to worry about poor trainers and Pokemon getting attacked by that flock for no good reason."said Nurse Joy as she placed the Pokeballs on a portable table with Pikachu next to them.

"Luckily it looks like Pikachu is just exhausted from all of his minor injuries so a bit of rest and sometime in the healing chamber will bring Pikachu back up to full speed. In the meantime young man I suggest you change out of those wet clothes and properly desensitize some of those scratches. Here's a key for one of the rooms where you can take a shower and hopefully change into some dry clothes."said Nurse Joy as she handed Jaune a room key before she left with Pikachu and the rest of his Pokemon to another room.

"Well it's a pleasure meeting you young man but I really need to get going and file out this final incident report involving that flock of Spearow. I hope you can get along with the leader as I heard Spearow can be notoriously stubborn and hard to train."said Officer Jenny as she waved Jaune goodbye before she left the Pokemon center.

"This has been an interesting first day as a Pokemon trainer... I think I will go to that room and get a shower as if I don't do something soon I'll no doubt catch a bad cold."said Jaune as he started walking towards the room whose number was printed on the key.

A few minutes later Jaune found the room he was looking for and open it up to see it was a comfortable looking mini room with a comfortable looking bad, a desk, night light, a full-length mirror, and a mini bathroom including a shower."

"Oh sweet relief."said Jaune as he walked in the bathroom and quickly began removing all of his wet clothes.

He toss his clothes into a clothes hamper as he stepped into the shower and immediately turned on the hot water. Jaune could feel the hot water healing his skin as the heat from the water and steam were relaxing his muscles as hus Aura began healing all the small cuts he had received from the flock of Spearow.

Jaune then proceeded to rub his hair full of the shampoo in the shower as he began thinking about everything he experienced today.

'Today has been an interesting day. First I ended up getting lucky by capturing two flying type Pokemon. Then I see one of the most beautiful creatures I've ever seen in my life and even acquired one of its feathers. But there's also the fact that I ended up getting attacked by a whole bunch of Spearow and the fact that my clothes are pretty much ruined thanks to all that rainwater that they are now drenched in...' thought Jaune as he watched all of the shampoo out of his hair and began rubbing his body with soap.

'I'm glad Pikachu is okay as Pokemon are quite sturdy and I'm glad that after everything we've been through that he's okay. I owe him a bottle of ketchup for saving my butt from all those Spearow because let me tell you even with Aura, those sharp beaks still hurt, especially when you're getting poked by them over and over again by who knows how many!' thought Jaune as the water from the shower washed off all the soap his body.

Jaune continued this for a good twenty minutes before he turned off the shower and stepped out of the shower. He picked up the towel that was provided for the room and started drying himself off. As soon as he was completely dry did he hang the wet towel for it to dry and proceed to put on the towel next to it around his waist. As Jaune walked out of the bathroom he was glad to see that his backpack was still in one piece thanks to the fact it was made out of microfiber, meaning that it was practically waterproof.

"Let's see if Ms Delia packed me an extra set of clothes since those were the only clothes I really had on me..."said Jaune as he literally only had the clothes on his back when he was transported to this world.

Luckily for Jaune, Ms Delia did in fact provide him an extra set of clothes that look like they were just his size, and even more lucky for him she had provided him underwear. Jaune proceeded to put on the clothes that were provided for him and after changing into the last set did he go over to the full length mirror in the room to check himself out.

"Wow, not bad."said Jaune as he had to give it to Ms Delia, she sure had an eye for fashion when it comes to clothes that will look good on him.

Jaune was now wearing a black muscle shirt covered by a dark blue jacket with yellow lines on the zipper area and cups of his sleeves, along with pockets on the chest area and a high collar. His jeans were now replaced with black cargo pants with pockets on the knees. His belt was now a standard issue trainer belt where he could place up to six Pokeballs on his belt. His shoes were now blue and yellow sneakers with yellow laces and white soles. Finally completing the look was a black baseball cap with a dark blue visor an the Arc family crest stitched onto the front in yellow.

"She is so nice."said Jaune as it was clear that Ms Delia personally stitched the crest onto the hat personally.

Jaune admired his new look as he heard his name being called on the loudspeaker so he decided to head to the front desk.

There he saw a perfectly healthy Pikachu standing next to Nurse Joy along with his Pokeballs that contain Pidgey and Spearow.

"That is good look for you."complemented Nurse Joy as Jaune walked up to the counter.

"Thank you."said Jaune.

"I'm happy to say that Pikachu and your other Pokemon are now back to a hundred percent. Luckily the injuries they sustained were not that bad and thanks to the healing chamber, there are now happy and healthy."said Nurse Joy as Pikachu jumped on Jaune's shoulder while he picked up his Pokeballs and put them on his trainer belt.

"Thanks you for healing Pikachu in the others Nurse Joy, I really appreciate it."said Jaune who was grateful that Nurse Joy was able to heal Pikachu in the other so fast.

"It's my pleasure as it is the oath I took the day I became a nurse to take care of Pokemon to the best of my ability."said Nurse Joy as Jaune walked away as he knows another trainer was walking towards her and he didn't want to take up her time as he knew nurses could be quite busy even at the best of times.

"I'm really glad you're okay buddy."said Jaune as he began stroking Pikachu's chin, which the mouse Pokemon seem to greatly enjoy.

"Pika Pika pi."said Pikachu as he was enjoying having his chin stroked.

"I've already built up a good relationship with you. But I wonder if I'll be able to win over Pidgey and Spearow, especially the latter considering that I did just take him away from his flock and now he's stuck with me."said Jaune, who wondered if he could build a great relationship with his new Pokemon even though he knew it would take time as it hasn't even been a day.

"Oh I almost forgot! I need to give a progress report to Professor Oak, I can't wait to tell him what I experience."said Jaune as he walked over to the Videophones and began to dial the professor's number as soon as he sat down.

Jaune waited in front of the Videophone for a good minute before it made the sound that the call connected in the professor was seen on the other end.

"Hello?"asked the Professor, oblivious to the fact that he was facing the wrong way...?

"Professor Oak you're facing the wrong way again."said Jaune, as this was not the first time this has happened.

Jaune knew this as he volunteered many times at the professor's lab and personally saw the times the Professor got a call and ended up facing the wrong way...it was alot...

"Oh my sorry Jaune, I just barely brewed up a cup of coffee and you know I'm not a hundred percent unless I've had my cup of joe several times a day."exclaimed Professor Oak as Jaune rolled his eyes, after all the Professor practically ran on coffee thanks to the long work hours of his job.

"It's okay Professor."said Jaune as he was used to this kind of behavior by now.

"My goodness is that the outfit Delia provided for you. I must say you now look like a proper trainer with that outfit."complimented the Professor.

"Yeah! It really does scream me."said Jaune as Pikachu rolled his eyes.

"How are you getting along with Pikachu?"asked the Professor as this is the longest time Pikachu has been with a trainer.

"We are doing great Professor. I don't know why but I feel like the moment we met we just suddenly bonded."said Jaune as he began stroking Pikachu's chin again, causing the mouse Pokemon to let out a sound of joy.

"I'm glad you're doing all right as that Pikachu is usually quite stubborn and would never listen to anyone."said Professor Oak, who was surprised as he thought by now Pikachu would have been returned to him for who knows how many times already.

"I had a feeling he had a bit of an attitude problem but like I said we really did bond, especially considering what happened today."said Jaune as the Professor leaned in closer.

"What do you mean?"inquired Professor Oak.

"Well we were stopping for a lunch break on Route 1 when this Pidgey ended up stealing my sandwich. We ended battling it and catching in the end, but not before me and Pikachu angered a flock of angry Spearow..."said Jaune as the professor almost fell out of his chair.

"My goodness it's a good thing you're both okay! Those Spearow have already attacked several of the trainers that left Pallet Town and many reported barely getting away."said Professor Oak as Jaune was not the first trainer he sent off from Pallet Town to have been attacked by those flock of Spearow in question.

"I'm assuming Gary came out in one piece."said Jaune, referring to Professor Oak's grandson...who he didn't get along with.

"Yes Gary managed to get away with only a few injuries, I'm honestly glad."said Professor Oak as Jaune wasn't surprised by this.

"I guess I shouldn't be surprised that he got away as Mr hotshot always had a lot of luck on his side."

"Now Jaune I know Gary has his... attitude problem but he really does put a lot of effort into training his Pokemon. His Squirtle seems to trust him greatly and as long as he treats his Pokemon well so there's nothing more I can ask of him."said Professor Oak, who knew that his grandson was not well liked as Gary has always had a bit of an attitude problem... along with a mouth...

"Yeah believe me Professor I'm glad he's okay, it's just hard to feel sorry for the guy considering how many times you've had to apologize on his behalf because of his big mouth."said Jaune who remembered several times the Professor had to apologize to the residents of Pallet Town because of Gary.

"He's young and I'm sure he will grow out of it."said the Professor although Jaune wasn't too sure about that.

"I hope so. So... Professor if it's not too much trouble what can you tell me about Red?"inquired Jaune as he wanted to know more about Delia's son.

"Red and Gary has been by the hip for years and although he's not the very talkative type, he is quite serious about Pokemon training as I can tell he and his Charmander are going to go places."said Professor Oak as Jaune wondered when he would meet Red in person as he ended up leaving on his Pokemon journey a few days before he came to the Pokemon world.

Ms Delia told him that he was strong, and even though he's his mother he could tell that Delia was being absolutely serious and in no way overstating her confidence in her son!

"I better keep an eye out for him as I want to take on the champ. And in order to do that I need to keep tabs on every potential rival."said Jaune as he planned to take on the mysterious champion of Kanto, who only a handful of people in the Pokemon League new his or her identity.

"I'm sure with enough training you will meet the champion."said Professor Oak with confidence.

"Yeah... oh I'm sorry Professor I got completely off track I have something else to tell you. After Pikachu managed to scare away those Spearow we saw an extremely beautiful Pokemon that unfortunately I couldn't scan with the Pokedex as it was too far away."said Jaune as this peaked Professor Oak's interest.

"Can you describe this Pokemon?"asked the Professor as Jaune looked around as he tried his best to describe it before noticing a petrograph hanging not too far where he was sitting and pointed towards it.

"It's that Pokemon carved onto the petrograph Professor."said Jaune as he noticed on the right side of the petrograph was the carving of the Pokemon he saw.

"Jaune that's impossible as no one has seen that Pokemon in more than a thousand years."said Professor Oak as no one has seen that Pokemon since ancient times.

"I'm not lying Professor I even have proof."said Jaune has he pulled out the rainbow feather he got from the Pokemon as the Professor almost fell out of his seat upon seeing it.

"My goodness that's a rainbow wing!"said Professor Oak, who couldn't believe his eyes even though it was right there in front of him.

"See I wasn't lying."said Jaune who was glad that he kept the feather.

"Jaune I can hardly believe what I'm seeing but you actually saw Ho-Oh, the legendary Pokemon that is considered the guardian of the skies."said Professor Oak as he continue looking at the rainbow wing.

"Gaurdian of the skies?"inquired Jaune as this is the first he was hearing of this.

"Ho-Oh is a legendary Pokemon who is believed to have the power to resurrect the dead, it it said that anyone who manages to catch a glimpse of Ho-Oh will be destined for eternal happiness."explained Professor Oak as Jaune couldn't believe his luck.

"Wow..."was all he could say.

"I must say Jaune Arc, your journey has certainly started off with quite the remarkable feat."said Professor Oak as he had a feeling Jaune would go places in the very near future!

"Yeah let me tell you Professor it was not easy. I managed to bond with Pikachu but I'm still not sure if Pidgey or Spearow will accept me as their trainer."said Jaune as Professor Oak did a double take.

"You caught a Spearow?"

"Yeah in fact he was the leader of that flock who attacked me. He was knocked out next to me so I decided to take the chance and catch him."said Jaune as Professor Oak nodded his head.

"Jaune I can tell that you are quite conflicted as you feel like this is one of the biggest steps you've ever taken in your life."

"Oh you have no idea..."whispered Jaune under his breath.

"But you have got to remember that this is only your first day. You're human which means you're inevitably going to make mistakes. But you have to move past those mistakes and learn from them and with time you will grow and grow and I'm sure one day you'll be one of the greatest Pokemon trainers to have ever lived. You need to understand that the mountain you are climbing will have a lot of hurdles and at times you will fall, but you need to keep climbing until you reach the summit."wisely said Professor Oak as Jaune listened very carefully.

Professor Oak had a point. This was only his first day in although it ended with a... rocky start at the end of day he and his Pokemon were healthy and that's all that mattered. Now he had to focus on what lyed ahead of him, which was the champion! And in order to get at the mysterious champion he would have to defeat eight gyms and earn eight gym badges in order to participate in the Indigo League!

"Thanks for the advice Professor I'm sure to use it when I challenge the Viridian City gym leader tomorrow."said Jaune before he noticed that the Professor was nervously scratching his head.

"What's wrong?"he asked, as the Professor let out a sigh before he answered.

"Jaune, the Viridian City gym leader is currently on a journey right now and they don't know when he will be back. Besides even if he was there I do not recommend challenging him on your first day as he is the strongest gym leader in all of Kanto."said Professor Oak as Jaune just slammed his head on the table as he couldn't believe that not only was the gym leader not home, but he was also the strongest gym leader so taking him on at his current level was a fool's errand.

"Well... where's the closest gym?"inquired Jaune, hoping that he didn't come all this way for nothing.

"The closest gym to where you are at is in Pewter City. All you have to do is go through Viridian Forest and you will make it to Pewter City in about a day. Plus as an added bonus there are a lot of interesting Pokemon that live in Viridian Forest so it will be a great time to add additional Pokemon to your team."said Professor Oak as Jaune was glad that the closest gym was not too far away.

"Well I think I'll rest up here for the night and pack up a few essentials before I head out to Viridian Forest. As I'm honestly exhausted but physically and mentally and I could really just use a good night's sleep."said Jaune as Pikachu nodded his head in agreement.

"Considering what you went through young man, take as much rest as you need."said Professor Oak before he politely said goodbye and cut the communication off.

"Well... let's get a hot meal Pikachu and get some rest for tomorrow."said Jaune as both his stomach and Pikachu stomach were rumbling.

Both of them began laughing as unknown to them not too far from the Pokemon center two individuals wearing matching black uniforms with a large letter R printed on the front with their hands covered by long white gloves, along with white knee-length boots seemed to be smiling as they were waiting for darkness to fall.

"Ready Butch?"asked the female.

"I'm ready Cassidy."answered the male
