(One Week Later)
Brenna had just finished packing up everything that she needed to assist SHIELD with their investigation with the Weather Anomalies that have been occurring recently and to be honest, a part of her was actually quite excited to be a part of this Research Project. If this was what she expected, then this will prove her theories regarding Myths and Legends. However, she would have to wait for one of the SHIELD Agents that she was gonna be 'supervised' by. "What was his name again though… Clint Barton?" Brenna thought to herself out loud as she headed into the lobby of Oscorp HQ as she readjusted her hair into a ponytail. Yet when she reached the main floor, she saw a group of elementary students being shown around by Aldous' friend. Quentin Beck may have been a close friend of the Osborn Twins, but they pretty much viewed him as an older brother who has a bit of a temper. 'Didn't realize the school tour was today… Guess I should check on who these kids are to make them feel welcome.' She thought to herself as she approached Beck and his group of kids.
"Well, you kids are in for a treat now." Beck announced with a smile as he caught notice of Brenna, "Looks like one of the CEOs of Oscorp decided to give you a visit. Please say hello to Ms Brenna Osborn, Kids." He requested as he playfully nudged at Brenna. The kids promptly greeted Ms Osborn before one of the young kids raised their hand to ask a question to the CEO. "You have a question for Ms Osborn, Peter?" Beck acknowledged the young boy who wore a goofy set of nerd glasses as he nodded.
"Yes. Is it true that you managed to develop a serum that helps those struggling with Cancer?" He asked with eagerness. Brenna nodded before adding: "Yet doesn't exactly solve the issue entirely, but it works well enough to be a revolutionary start in the field of cancer treatment for sure." She gave the child a warm smile. "Wow… Maybe I could make something like that myself too…" The child said which made Brenna give out a delighted laugh. It was a nice change of pace to see youngsters who were willing to help those in need. "We definitely need more kids like yourself, Peter." She told him with pure honesty.
A girl next to Peter with blonde hair with a black headband raised her hand to ask a question. "Yes, young lady?" Brenna said to await her question. "Is it true that your brother is dating Tanya Stark? I bet she gives him a run for his money." She asked as Peter gave her a judging glare. "Gwen! That isn't something you should ask Ms. Osborn!" Peter scolded his closest friend.
However, Brenna just began to laugh hysterically at Gwen's question as Beck tried to hold his laughter in. "Jeez… Kids these days are perverts as well…" Aldous stated as he walked into the area with a clear blush on his face caused by embarrassment since Gwen wasn't exactly wrong… However, he would never allow that information to be confirmed.
"Come on, Aldous. It is nothing to be ashamed of." Beck added on with a sly grin before being smacked by Brenna. Beck was about to question Brenna for her actions, but her Death Glare was enough to make Beck keep his mouth closed.
"That is a question that won't be answered, Gwen. Your friend gave the reason why after all." Brenna responded as she managed to compose herself from the unexpected question as the group of students was somewhat visibly embarrassed by Gwen's question.
"Alright, kids. Let's continue the tour of Oscorp." Beck announced as Aldous walked over to Brenna with a smile that showed that he had received news that he was glad to have heard and wanted to hear too. Brenna took note of this as she turned to her brother with a raised eyebrow.
"So? Are you gonna drag this out or are you gonna tell me what has you in such a good mood?" She questioned with her arms crossed with a sense that told Aldous that she wasn't gonna ask the question that he wanted.
Aldous then stuck his tongue at Brenna in annoyance as he said, "You're no fun… Tanya has just arrived in the US. She wants us to attend a press conference oddly…" Aldous explained with a bit of confusion. He was wondering why Tanya wasn't willing to immediately head to the hospital to make sure she was alright, but he did think he knew what was happening. "Come on. It is important, she told me." Aldous told his sister as she nodded in agreement.
The drive to the Press Conference that Tanya had set up was bit long, but when they arrived Aldous made sure that he and his sister met up with her before it took place. Tanya was currently eating a Burger King cheeseburger that her friend and assistant, Pepper Potts, managed to buy her as they took the drive here. As always, Tanya was as beautiful as ever as Aldous looked over his girlfriend as he walked over to her. Tanya was never one for wearing a full on dress, but she wasn't without her own sense of style as she wore a two-piece suit that allowed her to show off her bust yet was clearly concealing something on her chest. To add on she had on a business skirt with stylish work shoes as her brown hair hand on the right side of her face with smooth elegance.
Tanya saw Aldous and Brenna before walking over to the two while wiping her mouth with the arm that was resting in her arm brace. "Glad you two can make it. I really want you two to be here when I make the announcement regarding my company." She told the two as Pepper rushed over with concern.
"Seriously Tanya… Can't this wait until you have a proper medical check-up?" She questioned as she crossed her arms. Aldous clearly was about to add on his own concerns for ignoring the suggested check up, but Tanya cut them both off before it could go on.
"Yes, it cannot wait… This is really important… I won't be able to look at myself in the mirror until I do this." Tanya told them with a clear sense of regret mixed with dread based on what she saw while held captive by The Ten Rings and Aldous was the first to recognize this. Brenna was about to protest this action, but Aldous stopped her. He knew what she was about to do and gave Tanya a nod to allow her to proceed. "Thank you, Aldous… I promise to get the check-up afterward." She promised before proceeding to the Press Conference.
The three walked into the room with both Brenna and Pepper wondering what the heck was going on. "Mind filling us in, Bro?" Brenna questioned with impatience, yet Aldous didn't say anything as he just gestured for them to watch. Agent Coulson walked in and walked over to the three, but was clearly here to address Ms Potts.
"Agent Coulson? What are you doing here?" Brenna questioned as the final steps of setup were almost completed. Yet this irritated Aldous since he wanted to see what was going to happen. "Save it for later, please." Aldous declared as everyone went silent.
Before any of the reporters could ask anything, "Hey. Mind if we all just took a seat… I am not exactly suited to remain to stand of yet and I don't exactly want this to be formal yet." Tanya requested as the reporters and Obadiah followed suit. "You know… I never got to say goodbye to my father before he passed… And I have to admit there were some questions regarding his company that I wanted to ask… Like…" Tanya started as she tried to keep her emotions in check as she went on about her past, "Did he ever have regrets for what his company was founded on? The Weapons Development for example… Because when I was captured… I saw the very weapon I had created to protect people were the exact things that were killing them…" Tanya told them as she did her best to hold back her tears for what she saw with little success. This slightly disturbed Obadiah as his expression showed slight anger as he did his best to hide it. However, Aldous noticed as clear as day due to his already lack of trust and disgust for him.
"So, what happened over there besides what you had just disclosed?" Questioned a particular reporter that Tanya had dealt with before her trip to The Middle East. "What Happened was that I had my eyes open to the truth." She continued before standing and moving to the podium to speak into the mic wired to it. She wanted to make sure that everyone heard what she was determined to say. "Because of this, I am announcing that any and all forms of Stark Industries' Weapon Development will be shut down. I will allow my company to not be comfortable with not taking responsibility or accountability for the damage we caused with our failed attempts to prevent this and enabling these disasters caused by our ignorance." She declared with full conviction as everyone was utterly shocked by Tanya's actions as Aldous gave her a proud smile for her decision, knowing how difficult it was.
Brenna gave a slight chuckle as she patted her brother's back. "I understand why you wanted her to go through with this. You know that I will help with the support of this decision, Right?" She told her brother as he nodded in agreement. The Press Conference went into chaos by this announcement as they tried to ask more questions for Tanya's decision as Stane took over the conference to settle everything down the best he could as Aldous made his way to Tanya. Once he managed to reach her, he gave Tanya a hug to show how proud he was of her and that he will help her the best he can. Tanya smiled as she returned the hug as she silently let out the emotions she held back regarding the tragic events that occurred in The Middle East.
