Friday Night, I was getting ready to go to the Weird Sisters show, a short black leather skirt, green crop top and I left my hair down and curly. Something about black leather made me feel bad ass. I was a little disappointed that Severus didn't seem to care that I was going out with Myron again. Don't get me wrong, I was excited to go out and have fun. I'm a little confused about Severus. It's like hot and cold. Well more like lukewarm and cold.

I snuck out to the gates to apparate to London. I know I didn't really need to sneak, but I didn't really want my students seeing me dressed like this.

"You look smashing, love" Myron was waiting for me at The Leaky Cauldron

"Thanks. So where is the show tonight?"

"Dublin. It's a wild crowd. You ready"

"I'm always ready" Myron took my hand and we were whisked away to Dublin.

Myron was right. The crowd was crazy. I watched the show from wings of the stage, until Myron brought me out to sing "Do the Hippogriff" with him. It was their most popular song, so lucky I learned the words.

After the show, Myron asked me to stay in his hotel, but I told him I needed to be back to the castle for the morning. I did stay for the after party, which was a bit of a mistake. I lost track of time (and shots). Myron and I spend most of the evening sloppy drunk and making out. By the time I looked at the time it was 3:30a.

"I need to get back to the castle!"

"About to turn into a pumpkin, love?"

"About to turn into a fired pumpkin. But I'm not sure I can even apparate right now"

"I'll get you back home if you promise to come to another show"

"Anytime" I winked

"Alright, let's get Cinderella back to her castle" He grabbed my hand and we instantly were at the castle gates.

I woke up at 11 with a screaming headache. I put on some clothes and cleaned up the best I could and headed to The Great Hall hoping to get some lunch and trying to cover up the fact that I was extremely hung over. I snuck in the side doors near the staff table, trying not to cause a scene. No such luck. As soon as I sat down I noticed a lot of students whispering and throwing glances my way.

"Whats going on?" I asked Harry

"Looks like someone made the Daily Prophet" he smirked handing me a copy

"Ugh you've got to be kidding me" Right on the front page was a photo of Myron and I from the after party. Luckily it was from earlier in the evening before drinking too much, but we were definitely acting cozy.

"I don't even remember anyone there taking pictures"

"Read the story inside. There are more pictures"

"What story...oh god"

'New York socialite and Assistant Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Alex Lee seems to have made a splash in Europe. She has recently been seen in London and Dublin with none other than Myron Wagtail, lead singer of The Weird Sisters. Not much is known of Alex Lee outside of her debutante debut in 1994 at The Plaza Hotel in New York. Miss Lee was seen last night onstage with the band and at the private after party getting very cozy with the band'

"Who is this Skeeter woman?" I groaned at the pictures from the show and she even managed to dig up one from my debutante debut

"Oh she's known for her 'scandalous' stories" Harry rolled his eyes. "Don't worry. It will blow over"

"I hope so. This is so embarrassing"

"Don't worry about it Alex" Minerva sat next to me. "I'm sure most of the students will think you are...quite hip" I laughed at Minerva's attempt to sound cool

"Oh god I hope Severus hasn't seen this. I'll never hear the end of it"

After lunch, I mustered up the courage to knock on Sev's door. But he wasn't in his office. I knew we had to brew potions for the hospital wing, so I went to the classroom.

"Looks like our new celebrity has decided to grace us with her presence and...show up to work"

"Can we not talk about that stupid article. I literally have never been so mortified in my entire life." I started grabbing ingredients and worked on pepper up potion. I kept stealing glances at Severus as I was grinding the bicorn horn. Watching him work was very sensual. His hands were so strong and deliberate with every movement.

"I think your bicorn horn is well ground by now" his face looked flush. Oh shit he probably heard me.

"Oh. Right. It is..." I finished my batch of pepper up potion and filled my vials. Severus was working on blood replenishing potion. I sat on the edge of his table to watch.

"What exactly is a debutante debut?" I hadn't expected him to ask that. I almost choked on my own spit

"It's a stupid event that people with too much money put on. It's like putting it out there that your daughter is old enough to start courting. So they parade you around in a big fancy dress and invite all the guys who would be considered suitable. So basically my parents only invited rich pure blood families hoping to arrange a marriage"

"And you went along with it?"

"I didn't have a choice" I hissed. "I certainly didn't enjoy being treated like a piece of meat for everyone to drool over. I was 16. I didn't want to think about marriage. But in that world, getting paired up with a good match is of utmost importance. It's just not important to me. I don't care about money or blood status."

I watched as Sev finished his potion and bottled it. We took our cauldrons to the washing station.

"Oh I can wash that for you. I don't mind"

"I can manage"

We stood side by side, hand scrubbing our cauldrons. I caught myself stealing glances at his hands. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and I noticed his strong forearms, the ghost of his dark mark barely visible. I wanted to reach out and trace the white scar like lines.

"There's a charm for that you know" I smirked as I finished my cauldron first

"I prefer to do it by hand. It seems we have that in common"
