Apologies for the late entry, I was busy catching up on a few of my other fics as well as school.

After what seemed like an eternity of running through the corridors, Taylor burst into the command room.

"I'm here" he panted, "What-?"

He stopped as he saw two people, a man and a woman wearing matching Jaeger pilot armor, in front of him. The man's beard had grown out a bit, but Taylor immediately recognized them both as his parents. Tearing up, he immediately ran to them, hugging them both as they did the same.

"I though you were dead" Taylor sniffed.

Taylor's dad chuckled. "No, but we came close though."

"What happened?"

Taylor's mom explained. "We had managed to get out of our Jaeger once it went down. Your father and I made a break for it, but we were cornered by an Acid Quill. We may have died, if something else didn't intervene."

"What was it?"

The scene flashes back to when Taylor's parents were in the enflamed streets of the city, the Acid Quill standing above them, about to strike. Suddenly, a high pitched screech could be heard as Megaguirus burst from the smoke, grabbing the kaiju and flying off with it, tearing into it with her jaws.

The scene then flashes back the control room as Taylor's mom finished. "Monarch found us shortly after that. Turns out they were tracking Megaguirus when it awoke, disturbed by the kaiju's attacks. We've been working here as mech pilots ever since."

"You're still piloting Jaegers?" Taylor asked.

His dad got a mischievous look. "Not quite…"

Suddenly, alarms went off in the control room.

"Kaiju alert!" someone called out, "It's coming in fast!"

Hana Serizawa ran over to the console and looked at the readings. "Quetzalcoatlus." She said.

In the distant desert outside of the base, a massive winged alien kaiju that resembled a mix between a vulture and a pterosaur was flying in the base's direction, but the base wasn't its target; it's focus was on the glowing cloud in the distance.

Back in the control room, Taylor's father stood up. "Should we head out?"

"No" Hana said, still looking at the monitor. "That might not be necessary this time."

Taylor was confused and looked over Hana's shoulder. "What do you mean?"

Hana showed him four other signatures on the readings. Two were Megaguirus and the Warbat returning from the ocean. The third was concealed behind a cloud of pure heat. The fourth, most interestingly, was a little farther away, but the power readings were insane.

This reading came from the recently destroyed Kaiju Sisters power plant. Out of the generators, yellow lightning began flashing wildly inside as a black insectoid leg reached out, followed by a vibrant orange and black wing. Battra reared his head and let out a massive roar; his time had come.

"Activate the heat shields!" Hana ordered, "I've never seen the demon this infuriated before!"

This caught Taylor off guard. "Wait, DEMON!? What demon?"

Hana was about to answer, but was interrupted as a massive roar shook the entire facility, echoing all the way down to the tunnels were the twins were leading Hayley through to Infant Island. The twins stopped in their tracks.

"Did you sense that?" Miana asked.

Maina nodded, a fearful expression on her face. "The Fire Demon. He is very angry."

"I also sense Battra has risen. We must hurry!"

Hayley was confused by their sudden panic, though she too was shaken by the roar. "Wait, what was that?"

"A creature of destruction" Maina explained. "We will need Mothra to restore order. Hurry!"

Hayley wasted no time following them further down the tunnel.

Back at the base, Taylor looked out the window as the orange cloud came into view. Adrian and Mei had also ran in, alerted by the alarm.

Mei gasped in awe as she saw the cloud. "What…is that?"

Adrian also gasped, but his was in fear. "Oh no…"

"What is it?" Mei asked.

Adrian's expression showed he knew what this creature was. "I've read about this one. It's a Titan, but it's arguably the most destructive one of all. If you anger him, you're dead."

"Does he have a name?" Taylor asked.

Adrian nodded. "They call him the Fire Demon…RODAN"

("Rodan Intense Symphonic Metal Cover" starts playing)

Outside, Quetzalcoatlus had finally reached the shore outside of the base and looked up to see the cloud. Flashes of heat lighting streaked across it, showing the shadowy Titan within. Megaguirus and Warbat flew into a nearby cavern, ducking into it to protect themselves from Rodan's fury.

Quetzalcoatlus stopped in its tracks; it could feel the Titan's fiery gaze lock onto him, and it filled the kaiju with fear. Imedaitely, the kaiju turned the other way, but stopped again as a dark shadow appeared behind the mountain in front of it. With a flash of lighting, Battra appeared and stared down the kaiju with his own angered gaze. Quetzacoatlus was in a full panic now, and flew straight up, attempting to escape through the clouds. Rodan watched became even more enraged; Quetzacoatlus had taken over this airspace and no way was Rodan letting this fucker get away with it. Letting out another roar, Rodan burst from the cloud in pursuit, and the sight terrified even Serizawa.

It was common knowledge that Rodan's blood was basically molten magma, but it seemed as if Rodan intensified the heat from that magma a thousand times over. The Titan was glowing from the inside out with flames licking from his wings as he flapped. He had become a living inferno. Monarch frantically struggled to get everyone indoors as the heat shields unfolded, wrapping around the designated buildings while Rodan and Battra shot up into the clouds after the kaiju.

Quetzocoatlus veered through the clouds as it tried to escape, narrowly dodging bolts of lightning Battra fired from his horns. However, it was Rodan the kaiju was most afraid of; it had never sense such rage before in its life, not even from other kaiju. It could still hear Rodan's furious growl behind it as the Titan pursued. Taking an opportunity, it suddenly dived down, appearing back through the clouds and heading for a clifftop. Suddenly, a column of fire shot from nearby, taking out the kaiju's wing and causing it to crash into the clifftops. From a short distance away, Baragon, smiled in glee, his horn glowing orange and smoke still curling from his mouth. Anguirus stood nearby, while Varan was nowhere to be seen.

Battra was closer to the kaiju than it had thought, and he too flew down from the clouds, firing a barrage of lightning from his horns. The bolts struck the kaiju, causing it to cry out in pain. Alerted, Rodan too burst forth, picking up speed as he dove down, landing with full force on top of the kaiju. Qutezacoatlus shrieked; Rodan's heat was burning it alive as its skin began to bubble, blister, and then melt off in a puddle of blue liquid. Battra immediately flew out of the way; Rodan was not a Titan to be close when he was angry, even for one as powerful as Battra. The Monarch scientist could only watch in horror as the camera feeds from nearby drones showed Rodan as the Titan leaned in closer, a devilish grin on his face; it wanted this alien bird to suffer before he killed it. After a few moments, Rodan moved is wings over the kaiju, encasing it in a dome of heat as he thrust his beak forward, crushing the kaiju's half-melted head.

With the kaiju dead, Rodan decreased his heat, returning to a somewhat normal state as he unfolded his wings and stood up on his legs. Below him lay the dead kaiju, the ground around it scorched black.

Raising his head, Rodan let out a tremendous roar that echoed throughout the plains; he was King of the Skies around here, and he wanted to make sure the other kaiju didn't forget that. He and Battra would not be the only one to terrify the kaiju that day though…

The other side of the island housed a massive kaiju graveyard at the shoreline that was coated in a thick fog. The skeletal remains of various kaiju and Jaegers were strewn about; the remains of a deadly battle. However, multiple living kaiju, a Knifehead, an Acid Quill and two Scunners were scavenging around the shore, looking for fresh meat or anything else to feed on.

Suddenly, one of the Scunners notices the tide has gotten higher than it usually did and looked around; something was wrong. The other kaiju noticed it's confusion and looked around, but could see nothing in the fog. Suddenly, a deep, booming growl echoed throughout the area, coming from the sea. The other kaiju immediately felt ice-cold fear shoot into their hearts. Their hive mind intelligence told them exactly what that growl belonged too; so many of their kind had tried to fight that creature…and all of them failed. Their fears were only confirmed as a massive dark shadow loomed up from the ocean, with a blue light beginning to run up its bac

The Knifehead was the first to run, but it only got a few paces before a massive beam of blue energy blasted through its chest, killing it on the spot. The other kaiju turned to run, roaring in terror, but it was all for naught; one by one, they too were struck down, holes burned through them by the blue laser. Varan was watching all of this from nearby, and once he recognized the shadow, he immediately knelt down before it.

Satisfied for the time being, the shadow looked up and let out the very sound the kaiju dreaded in their cores; signaling their greatest enemy's return…

SKREEEEOOOOOONNNKK!

The King's time is NOW!
