Episode 16 #Soul Sisters part 1/ Titans Fall.

Under the dark night of the Metropolis city we see a female office worker walking down the street due to over time "I swear someone is slacking and I'm to blame." she grumbled out before she heard some clattering sound behind her as she turns with a jump 'What was that?' she thought in alarm before seeing a cat scurries out before running back into the alleyway "Phew, it was just a cat." she thought until she turns to see a thug looking down at her.
"If you're thinking of doin' anything besides handing me your purse, trust me, it ain't worth it." the thug said and before the woman could scream he pulled knife out and aim it to her throat "Shh shh shhh, we don't want to trouble the neighbors do we hand over the purse and you can walk." the women silently nods before handing over her purse, taking it the thug let her go before walking back into the alley "Have a nice night lady." the thug said smugly before chuckling until he's gone into the back alley.
The office lady just drops to her knees tears pouring from both a bad day and the encounter before something drops on her lap seeing her money and purse she looks up to find a shadow jumps away.
We then see the thug in the alley with a blank look on his face.
(Metropolis High Fencing club.)
We then see someone lunge towards a smaller figure wearing the fencing uniform and the mask might cover the person's identity her voice shows who she is "En garde!" Diana shouts out as she flick and parry the fencing foil before stabbing her opponent "Ha ha! Excellent work, Nathaniel!" Diana congratulated as she took off her fencing mask.
"Are you kidding? I lasted two seconds." Nathaniel captain of the fencing club says before taking off his own mask smiling a bit.
Diana still happy for his accomplishment continued "Yes! And that is twice as long as last time!" she said before turning to the other members "Does anyone desire a rematch?"
Her response is are mostly differing excuse as they made their way to the locker rooms.
Nathaniel just chuckles "Sorry, Diana, I think we're all done losing for the day. I assume you're staying to train, even though you just beat the entire Metropolis Fencing Club?" he asked raising a brow.
Diana just nods with a smile "You assume correctly."
Nathaniel just shook his head with a smile "Shoutaro was right you don't know how to stop.[chuckles] Turn out the lights when you're done." he said before leaving with the others before closing the door behind him.
Diana was about to go through some other fencing forms before noticing another person who hasn't left and judging by the figure she is a female teen "Ah, greetings! Are you new to the club? I joined recently. I find the simulated combat most invigorating." Diana asked but the figure said nothing instead pulled her foil out in a fencing salute, Diana was surprised before she smirks before holding her own fencing salute "Very well then. We shall let these do the talking." she said as they both ready their stance.
It took a second before both lunge forward clashing and parrying each strike from the other both shows they both have not only skill but experience "Your footwork is impeccable. You are using the Danpei technique, yes?" Diana asked impressed by her opponents form and technique.
Her opponent still parrying Diana's blow replied "I thought it appropriate, since I don't know your weaknesses. Now I do." she said before she starts to push against a surprised Diana who starts to smile much to the fencers confusion "Why are you smiling? I am clearly better than you."
"To give the fencing club a chance, I fight left-handed." Diana said before she push the fencer back " And I-" Diana tossed her foil up before catching it in her right hand "-am not left-handed." before stabbing toward her opponent who also exchange the blow with her own.
With both foil locking on one another the fencer decides to reveal her own secret "Well then. There is something I must tell you."
"You are not left-handed either?" Diana asked.
"No, I am. But there is something else that I am not." The fencer said before she caught Diana's locked sword before disarming her, Diana watched her sword flew of and landing in a clang she turned back to find the fencer stabs her chest pushing her to the ground "Distracted."
Diana looked astonish she never fought someone this skilled in the world of man and the closest would be Shoutaro but he was never able to best her and now their is someone who can and she can't help but feel one thing "Touche!" excitement "Oh, it is so thrilling to finally experience a loss! You are incredible. Diana Prince." Diana introduce herself after getting up and holding her hand out.
The fencer took off her mask showing a young asian teenage girl who has long silky black hair "Tatsu Yamashiro. I just moved here from Japan." she introduce herself before shaking Diana's hand with a smile "You are the first worthy opponent I have met."
Diana looked surprise as her smile widens "Your also from Japan I have a friend from your land!"
Tatsu looked surprised "You do?"
Diana nods "Indeed I do." Diana said before she leans into a surprised Tatsu "But enough of that you must teach me how to parry like that one day."
Tatsu was surprised she smiled as she moves over the fallen foil before throwing it back to Diana who caught it "How about now?" she says pointing her foil to Diana who responds in kind "Watch my left foot carefully..."
They kept strike and parry through the whole night and their duel only ended by a foil flying into the air before falling away from the two to reveal Tatsu with a surprise look with one hand in the air and a foil to her chest "Great work! You are quick study." Tatsu said impressed.
"You are an excellent teacher." Diana said before looking out did she notice the full moon shining into the room "By Cronus, where has the time gone?" she said as they both head to the locker rooms changing back to their casual clothes "I must be going. But it would please me greatly if we could meet for a normal teenage activity. We could, uh... What do you do for amusement when you are finished training?" she asked after grabbing her bag and turning to Tatsu who also changed showing she wears a grey vest jacket with red sleeves, with a dot on the upper right side, dark grey pants with a red stripe on the side and wears red and black shoes and doesn't seem to wear socks with them.
Tatsu looked uncomfortable "I, uh, train more." she said awkwardly due to knowing that she doesn't have any other hobbies that other teenagers have.
Diana much to Tatsu's shock was jumping in place excited "Ha! I as well!" she said pleased to have someone who likes to train like her.
Tatsu's shock turns to a smile before asking "How about after school tomorrow then we can continue on the weekends."
Diana smiled "That is a grand idea Tatsu I will see you then!" she said before they left for their homes.
(Metropolis Police Department)
James Gordon thought he would at least have a more normal case when he moved to Metropolis and he was right as most criminals are less "creative" than in Gotham it doesn't mean their isn't strange cases like this.
And what he saw really gives him chills as he saw five thugs from muggers to car jackers are strapped to hospital beds all looking hollow with blank expressions as if they had their souls sapped out of them "And here I thought Gotham was weird."
"This isn't from Gotham Gordon san" Someone spoke out behind him as the commissioner turns around he was pleasantly surprised by seeing a young Japanese man who wore a red leather jacket over a black shirt, red leather pants held up by a buckle that has a burning upside down heart engraved on it, dangling from his belt is a chain looped on his left side, his pants are stuffed into a pair of black biker boots and dangling from his neck is a necklace with a upside down heart dangling from the chain.
"Ryu my it's been a long time since I last saw you how have you been how's the family." Gordon asked but his jolly face fade when he saw the tense look on the young officer he knew something happened.
Ryu was silent for a while before saying "They are gone." he said firmly.
"I see, I'm sorry for your loss." Gordon said bowing his head in remorse in his line of work he witness many who lost their family whether they died protecting someone or someone who found out where they lived.
Ryu doesn't say anything as he turns to the thugs "Whoever did this came from Japan they must have a vendetta for criminals." he said before turning to the commissioner "This is my case Gordon san so don't try to stop me or get in my way." he says sternly before walking away leaving Gordon trying to reach him before slumping with a sigh.
"It's like I'm back in Gotham again." Gordon can't help but grumble out.
(Metropolis High School)
As the school bell rang signaling the school ending as we see the students either going to hang out with their peers or attend club activities, and we see a familiar group of girls walking out "All right, it's settled. We are seeing Exploding Ninja Pirates from Outer Space IV." Jess said after some debate they decides to go watch a movie "It has a good story for me, lots of special effects for Karen, great costume design for Zee, a ton of action for Kara, and Babs doesn't care what we see as long as she can sneak in a bucket of burritos."
As she listed Babs reason she turns to Babs stuffing her bag full of burritos who then starts to caress it "Soon, my pretties! Soon!" Babs said before kissing it getting Jess to look a bit disgusted.
They then turned to the one person who opted out of hanging out "You sure you can't come, Diana?" Jess asked knowing how busy body Diana is so she was hoping for her to relax a bit.
Diana just smiles "I apologize, but I have already made plans with Tatsu.".
"Oh, right, your mysterious training partner. Are we ever gonna get to meet this "Tatsu"?" Kara asked sarcastically due to knowing no one could match up to Diana's idea of training so she has doubts.
"If that is your desire." Until now. The Titans jumped in fright at seeing Tatsu standing not only behind them but was real.
Babs looks impressed "Wow, you just came out of nowhere." she said as not a lot of people can just sneak up to the group.
Tatsu just quietly said "Yes." getting Babs to look a bit awkward at this.
Jess walked up to her "It's, um, nice to meet you. We've heard so much about you." she said holding her hands out for a handshake.
Tatsu narrowed her eyes as she glares around her "Direct me to these rumor-mongers, I will ensure they never speak again." scaring the Titans a bit.
Jess tries to deescalate the misunderstanding "No! I meant, we've heard good things. From Diana."
Tatsu suddenly looked a little embarrassed "Ah, I see." Tatsu said before relaxing herself.
After a bit of awkward silently "So! Where are you from?" Zee asked hoping to ease up a conversations.
Tatsu frowned "A place I can never go again..." she said looking away from them making things more awkward for them.
Kara really wants the awkward tension gone so she cleared her throat before saying "Hey, uh, I didn't think it was possible, but Diana says you like training as much as she does?" she said hoping that maybe this topic won't either be saying someone is badmouthing her or another landmine.
"The strong are driven by discipline, not desire." Tatsu said thankfully not in suspicion or depressed but no less awkward for them.
Diana ran up to Tatsu "Is she not great?" and she only got some strained laughs in response.
(Metropolis Recreational Center)
We see Diana and Tatsu sparring in a boxing ring though Tatsu doesn't seem to be into it and Diana can see it "Is something wrong, Tatsu?" Diana asked stopping their sparring match "You have not punched me in the face once."
Tatsu sighed as she walks away pulling her gloves off "I do not believe I made a good impression on your friends." as she made her way to the ropes.
Diana followed behind "What do you mean?" she asked as she pulled off her own boxing gloves.
Tatsu leaned on the ropes "Ever since leaving home, I have had trouble fitting in. People always think I am strange or too intense." she said.
Diana also leaned on the ropes raised a brow "One can be too intense?" she asked confused.
Hearing that Tatsu brighten up "Exactly! You gave me hope that Metropolis would be different." she said before her expression starts to dim "But it seems that I am once again destined to be a loner."
Diana looked sympathetic with her "I love my friends, but I must confess, I, too, often feel out of place in my new home, as though no one truly understands me." she said knowing how it feels to feel like an outsider before she starts to encourage her "But you do. And if you understand me, and I understand you, then at least we have each other." she said getting Tatsu to smile at her.
"I am glad for your friendship, Diana Prince." Tatsu said appreciating her support.
"And I yours. Now let us try most vigorously to injure one another!" Diana said before she picks up the gloves and shoving them into Tatsu's hands in surprise before she gave Diana a competitive look.
(Metropolis Cinema)
Walking out of the movies we see the Titans talking about the movie "I didn't hate it, it just felt like a set up for Exploding Ninja Pirates from Outer Space V." Babs said feeling a bit underwhelmed from what she saw.
Kara suddenly stops the group "Yo! Quiet for super-ears." she said as she closed her eyes to concentrate on her ears after awhile she pinpointed the sound from "The jewelry store!"
"Should we get Diana?" Jess asked "Or maybe Shotaro?"
Supergirl just ripped her shirt revealing her costume under her clothes "No time. Let's do this!" she said as the others also suit up.
(Metropolis Jewelry)
As the Titans rushed into the store they were ready for a fight as they saw a Catwoman leaning on the jewel case facing away from them "All right, loser! You picked the wrong night to-" Supergirl declared until Catwoman slumped off the case and fall face first to the floor "... fall asleep mid-robbery?" Supergirl finished confused.
Batgirl made her way and turn Catwoman around and gasp once she saw her face getting the others attention, walking over to see a disturbing site of Catwoman with hollow eyes.
Green Lantern moved closer as she examine Catwoman while the others stayed behind her "Is she..." Bumblebee trailed off afraid to finish her sentence.
Green Lantern breath a relief sigh "No, she's alive. I'm actually not sure what's wrong with her."
Zatanna walked over and chant a spell to scan any anomalies on the victim and what she found cause her concern "Okay, this isn't good. Someone used dark magic. I mean the real icky stuff to take her soul!" she said in alarm as the other gasp.
"Now what?" Bumblebee asked.
(Metropolis Streets)
"We really can't just leave her for the cops?" Supergirl asked while carrying Catwoman like a sack of potatoes.
Green Lantern turns to her "They wouldn't know what to do. She'd be stuck like this forever." she said before she walked with the others.
Supergirl groan unhappy how the nights been "Ugh, fine, but you do realize this is just like that scene in Exploding Ninja Pirates from Outer Space II. And remember how that turned out?" she said catching up with the other Titans not seeing in the alley way a shadow who looked at the girls with narrowed eyes.
"The first thing we need is a safe place to keep her." Green Lantern said worried for the thief's well being.
Batgirl perks up "Oh, so we need to hide a body? No problem. I grew up in Gotham. Besides, it's just one measly body- [yelps]" she said before tripping over something or rather someone as she gasp at who she tripped over revealing Harley Quinn.
"You were saying?" Zatanna said as she points to the unfinished graffiti that looks like she was interrupted at the last word reading [Batman Droo~].
"Now, now what?" Bumblebee asked.
Batgirl picked herself up "It's okay, two bodies is no big deal I mean it's not like a third one would just drop in right?" Batgirl said as she drags Harley over to the others.
"We might need a ride and no I'm not gonna ask mom if I could borrow her car remember the last time you asked for a ride and- [gasp] Supergirl, stop that!" Green Lantern says until she saw what Supergirl was doing who was doodling on Catwoman's face.
"Is that my lipstick?" Zatanna asked wondering how Supergirl nabbed it.
"Sorry." Supergirl said cheekily as she toss the lipstick back not caring the pointed glare she got from Zatanna.
"Relax, GL. Everything's gonna be fine.I already called a ride. and it's a short trip to my house, and besides, it's just two measly bodies- [yelps]" Batgirl says as she shows her phone then walking over and draping her arms around Green lanterns shoulder before Giganta fell in front of them spooking the girls who were almost crushed.
As the Titans crowed around a souless Giganta Zatanna starts to look more concern "I'm detecting a pattern."
"Now, now, now what?" Bumblebee asked even more panic at the body count
"That is what we like to know." a voice said as they turn to see the RevolGarry riding up and opening to show Shotaro looking concern at the scene "No really, can someone tell me whats happening?"
(One explanation later)
We see Shotaro driving around making his way to his firm because his agency has extra rooms and unlike Batgirls plan they wouldn't need to sneak the villains into his home "So someone is going around sucking the souls out of villains...that would explain on the lowering crime rate recently." Shotaro said
"Yep, but we still have no clue who or what is doing this, you think it's a Dopant?" Batgirl asked getting a shrug in response.
"Not that I'm aware of no and we might need more clues-" Shotaro said before abruptly stopping getting the girls to scream at the sudden stop "- or we get more bodies." he said as the others looks up to see Livewire, Star Sapphire and Poison Ivy laying in a heap and judging by the surroundings looks like they fought whatever did this to them.
"Now, now, now, now what?" Bumblebee cries out.
(Shotaro's Detective agency)
Supergirl tossed Giganta onto the floor of the agency while Philip carried in Poison Ivy looking intrigue by the state the villain girls were place in "Omoshiroi this doesn't seem to be hypnosis or a state of stasis." he said as he placed Ivy on the bed as he examine her eyes while checking her pulse "Their bodies are still active and due to how warm they are they aren't going to decay." before waving his hand in front of Ivy's eyes he noticed her blank expression doesn't change and her hollow eyes aren't constricting nor expanding "unresponsive almost as if they are in a constant daze."
"What is going on here?" a voice cut off Philips musing as he and the others turns to see Diana.
Batgirl who called her answered "What don't you get? We found a bunch of villains missing their souls and decided to stash 'em here until we could fix 'em!"
Diana gets that but still wondered "Yes, but why are they..." she gestures to the villain girls were placed haphazardly around the room.
Shotaro answered "Our agency has multiple guest rooms for clients who need some protection until the proper authorities come to pick them up you wouldn't believe how many kids get lost or are runaways." he said though he does look concern for state of the rooms "Though now it seems cramp with all of you in here."
Diana nods before she also dons her Wonder Woman costume as she steps forward "We must discover who is responsible for this immediately!"
"Yeah, duh! But how are we gonna do that?" Supergirl asked.
Wonder Woman just grins "Do not worry. I have a plan. This villain is targeting other villains. We must find the next target before anyone else loses their soul."
Bumblebee just looks confused "But where are we gonna find more villains?"
Shotaro sighed "We don't find one." he says as he face palms getting the others to look at him "We make one."
(Metropolis rooftops)
Explosions can be heard somewhere in the city as the shadowy figure ran and leap from roof to roof finding the source, until they stopped after hearing some laughter to see a young man wearing all black shooting at some vague shapes the shadow narrowed their eyes before she stood up "Villain!" they shouted revealing herself to be female as she steps out of the shadow to look down at the young vagrant.
The figure reveal to wear a white mask with a red dot that represents the flag of Japan. She has kind of an iron armor, gray colored with sleeves of a dark brown blouse. Underneath her "armor" She has a black skirt with red stripes, and brown knee socks with red knee-high boots, she then points her sword a katana at the teen who turned slightly to her "Your souls are tainted. And now, they will be mine."
"So you showed yourself." the figure said before throwing off his cover revealing Double in Heat Trigger form before pointing his guns at her "You really are making a mess in Metropolis."
Surprised the soul thief steps back especially when more shadow appeared to reveal the rest of the Teen Titans all looked ready to fight, the figure looked around surprise before her eyes narrowed "Even if you have the numbers it doesn't matter your souls will be mine." she said before holding her sword out.
Supergirl scoffs "Sorry, sis. I like my soul right where it is!" she said before blasting herself towards the vigilante who turned to her and swung her blade creating a flying slash towards a surprised Supergirl.
Once the slash hits her what the others saw gasp as Supergirl soul was pushed out of her body "SUPERGIRL!" Double screamed as he watch Supergirl's soul gets absorbed into the vigilante's sword.
The Titans stared in silence until "Well, at least we know where the souls are now."
"Let's show this one-trick pony what real magic looks like." Zatanna says flying up as Green Lantern powered her ring, as Zatanna cast a spell the vigilante just side step only to be caught in Green Lantern's constructed net.
The girls were confidant until the vigilante cut her way out but she didn't anticipate a fireball flying towards her, but she didn't flinch as she slash through the fireball and swung her blade again sending another slash taking out Zatanna and Green Lantern.
"Zatanna! Green Lantern!" Double cried out as he ran to the fallen girls only for the vigilante to drop in front of them staring silently at the group.
Double steps back while Batgirl hugs Wonder Woman in fear as Bumblebee cries out "Now, now, now, now, now, now, now what?"
Wonder Woman doesn't know so she was left with one option "Run!" she cries out as the other retreats.
The vigilante just scoffed before sending more slashes towards the running heroes hitting Batgirl and Bumblebee, as the final blade was about to hit Wonder Woman she was pushed off the roof, turning to see Double gets hit and the last thing she saw was a soul being pulled out before she fell.
The vigilante ran up to the ledge looking for her last prey but not finding her "You'll never escape my will find you!" the vigilante swore before she jumps off to continue her hunt not seeing Wonder Woman hiding under the ledge.
With some effort she found all her friends lay motionless and defeated "My friends...I... I led you to this." she said as she laments her failure "What have I done?" she said as she bows her head "Now, now, now, now, now...now ,now, now what?..."
"Maybe we should get the others to safety." Double suddenly said though only the right side lights up.
Wonder Woman gasped "Double but how I saw your soul get taking."
Double struggles to stand up but he made due as he made his way to the others "She did Wonder Woman...Diana I can't feel him." Double said before looking back at her "I can't feel Shotaro."
