The next day, inside a classroom in Kaibara high school…
"The Culture Festival is coming up next month, and everyone is suddenly busy in doing their own different themes in their classrooms, same goes for my class too." thought Tohru to herself as she and the other students watched Yuki and another female student write on the blackboard on what kind of theme they'll be doing.
"It's official. Our class has voted to operate a rice ball stand." said Yuki as he turned to glance at his classmates after he's done writing on the blackboard. "Next, I'd like to hear opinions on what fillings we should use." asked Yuki to his classmates.
"Yes, I do have one. How about tricolor rice balls?" said Tohru as she raised her right hand. "It would be fun to have 3 fillings in one rice ball! And a good deal too!" suggested Tohru eagerly to Yuki about the rice fillings.
"That's cute. I like it." said Yuki as he nodded in approval at Tohru's rice fillings suggestion.
"Yeah, I agree. It's a good idea from you, Honda-san." said Akemi in agreement with Yuki on Tohru's rice fillings suggestion.
"Seriously? We should drop that idea, Yuki-kun!" protested a fair-skinned, short twin-tailed brown-haired, brown-eyed girl named Minami Kinoshita to Yuki while ignoring Akemi's words.
"Yeah, what if she suggests a tuna, kelp, and pickled plum combo?" said another fair-skinned, short black-haired, brown-eyed girl named Mio Yamagishi to Yuki as well.
"Ugh, how gross!" said Minami with a disgust look on her face before she and Mio began chuckling only for Uotani to shut them up (and make them gasp in surprise and fear) by slamming a long steel pipe hard on Minami's table.
"The "gross" things here are both of your rotten personalities, morons." said Uotani coldly to both Minami and Mio while ignoring Tohru standing behind and trying to calm her down.
"D-Don't bring steel pipes to school!" said Minami in fear at Uotani.
"Then you and your friend shouldn't have open those big mouths of yours and insult Honda-san's rice fillings idea, morons. Also you're an awesome one, Uotani-san." said Isamu coldly to both Minami and Mio (which make them glared at her for calling them morons) then slightly proudly to Uotani.
"Right, thanks, Toudou." said Uotani as she nodded at Isamu.
"How about battle rice balls?" suggested Kyo.
"Battle?" said the male student sitting in front of Kyo.
"One-on-one matches, first to score an Ippon wins. The only rule is "no killing". Any weapons are allowed. People fight for their rice balls, even if they bleed, even if they lose an arm or a leg!" said Kyo excitedly to them.
"Idea rejected." said Minami.
"Yeah. It's a childish idea that only you'd come up and like, you hot-blooded one." said Miyuki blankly to Kyo.
"What was that, Arisato!? And what's with your attitude!? I'm cooperating and giving my idea!" said Kyo as he scowled at both Miyuki and Minami.
"What if we mix in some dud? Maybe people who buy three could choose one more for free, but some of the choices are duds?" suggested Yuki with a thoughtful look on his face.
"That's… actually not a bad idea, Yuki-kun." said Ken with a brief surprise look on his face.
"Yeah! Idea accepted!" said Minami happily and in agreement with Yuki's idea.
"Why'd you accepted his idea!?" snapped Kyo as he stood up from his seat.
"Gee, maybe because his idea is a normal one compared to yours?" thought Isamu sarcastically in her mind at Kyo's idea.
"Yours was too weird, Kyon-Kyon." said the male student sitting in front of Kyo.
"Yeah, don't pout about it, Kyon-Kyon." said the second male student standing beside Kyo.
"Don't call me "Kyon-Kyon"!" snapped Kyo as he scowled at the 2 male students for calling him Kyon-Kyon.
"Don't be mad, Kyon-Kyon." said the first male student.
"Yeah, you heard him. Don't be so…" said Isamu teasingly to Kyo before she fell silent when she and the others saw 5 or 6 little kittens showing up and climb up to be all over Kyo.
"Look, little cats!"
"What the heck!?"
"When'd they get here?"
"Where'd they come from?"
"How cute!"
"That's it! I've had enough of this!" growled Kyo as he stood up (which make some of the cats fall off him) before he turned and run out of the classroom.
"Wait, Kyon-Kyon! What's with those cats!?" demanded one of the male students to Kyo's retreating form.
"Kyo-kun!" said Akemi as she stood up and left the classroom after Kyo.
"Wait, Kanzaki-san!" said Ken as he also stood up and left the classroom after both Akemi and Kyo.
"Very odd." said Saki as she suddenly appear behind Tohru (which surprise her a little) and Uotani.
"Don't worry, you're way ahead of him in oddness, Hanajima. He's really hot-tempered, though, huh? The polar opposite of our Prince and others in this class." said Uotani calmly to Saki while Tohru just stared at them in silence.
