On the school's rooftop…

After Kyo run out of the classroom with some cats clinging onto him and with both Akemi and Ken running and following behind him, they went up to the school's rooftop for privacy and away from the other students.

"You shouldn't have lose your temper and run out of the classroom like that, Kyo." said Ken in disapproval at Kyo (who's lying on the rooftop floor with the cats lying nearby and on him).

"I agree with Ken-kun. That's very rude of you to do that, Kyo-kun." said Akemi in agreement with Ken as she hold and pat a white kitten head.

"Ugh, will you two just…" grumbled Kyo as he scowled at both Akemi and Ken.

"Here you three are!" said Tohru as she suddenly showed up, which surprise them a little before Kyo got up into a sitting position and he, Akemi and Ken turned to glance at Tohru. "The three of you like high places, huh?" asked Tohru as she got off the ladder, walked toward and sit down beside Akemi before she noticed one of the kittens, a black one approach her.

"Oh, hello, kitty. So cute. Cats love you, don't they?" asked Tohru as she glance at Kyo while picking up and holding the black kitten close to her.

"That they do, Honda-san." said Akemi with a nod of her head.

"Whatever. They just show up around me. It happens to all of us with our animal spirits." said Kyo.

"Wow, that must be fun!" said Tohru happily to Kyo.

"Seriously!?" thought Ken as he scowled at Tohru.

"Like hell it is! Did you want something, or what?" asked Kyo.

"I was just worried about you, Kanzaki-san and Amada-kun, that's all." replied Tohru.

"Thanks for being worry about us, Honda-san." said Akemi as she smiled and nod again at Tohru.

"You're welcome. Oh, aren't you going to join us on the Culture Festival project?" said Tohru as she glance and smiled back at Akemi before she glance back at Kyo (who didn't answer Tohru's question and look away from her).

"Excuse me, that's rude of you to look away and not answering her question, Kyo-san." said Akemi sternly to Kyo.

"Humph. You all don't need me. Everything'll go fine as long as that rat boy's there. He's one of the smart ones, good at organizing stuff and good with people. Everybody besides you three naturally respects his talents and trust him." said Kyo indifferently to them.

"No, that's not true. We do need you…" said Akemi as she slowly shake her head.

"I'm the one who started martial arts first, but now he's better at it than me." said Kyo with a scowling look on his face and ignoring Akemi's words before he think back on one of his memories back when he's being compared to Yuki, bullied and insulted by others. "It pisses me off. Not like I had a choice. If I could be like him… I would." added Kyo as he glance at Tohru while both Akemi and Ken glance and exchange pity looks about Kyo wanting to be like Yuki.

A few minutes later, in class…

"Hey, let's play Rich Man-Poor Man!" suggested Tohru as she lifted and showed them the deck of cards in her hands.

"Go to freakin' Yuki or others like Arisato, Amada, Kanzaki, Toudou or Akechi for that." grumbled Kyo.

"But Soma-kun isn't here. Same goes for the others that you mentioned." said Tohru.

"Way to spoil my fun. You seem so dumb and unorganized, I figured you'd make an easy mark. A real man never runs away from a fight, you know. How pathetic of you!" said Uotani sarcastically to Kyo (which pissed him off and make 4 red angry tick marks briefly appear on his head).

"Fine, you're on! Try not to cry when you lose, Gangster Girl!" said Kyo as he glared at Uotani.

"Don't worry, I won't. The loser's gotta do everyone's cleaning duty!" said Uotani.

"Ah, what a pleasant maelstrom of waves." said Saki with an impressed look on her face.

"I wonder where Soma-kun went off to…" thought Tohru as she look around the classroom for any signs of Yuki but cannot find him, unaware that Yuki's currently meeting, listening and rejecting another girl's confession of love for him and attempt to hug him inside the library before the girl turned and left the library with a heartbroken look on her face.
