Chapter 3: Hidden Darkness Guarding the Light in Fire

"Duck" Tai called.

Not a second later the blood-red sword was embedded in the wall where Kari's head had been. A man walked out of the shadows and pulled the sword from the wall. He had midnight blue hair and two different colored eyes. The left one was red and the other was gold. He had on a dark purple shirt under a black jacket, gray pants with a black belt, and gray and black boots. They could see a chain around his neck but whatever was on it was under his shirt. On his left leg was a black and purple pouch. The bottom half of his face was covered by a strip of black cloth that prevented them from seeing the rest that was hidden.

The man just looked at them and said "Who dares to enter the Chamber of Lobomon?"

Gennai walked forward and to the surprise of the others hugged the man that attacked them. The man tried to push him away but Gennai held tight and whispered in his ear "It's ok Kouichi you don't need to attack them. Cherubimon sent me to bring them here to see if Lobomon would work with Kari. Takuya thinks that she might be Kouji's reincarnation."

When Gennai let go Kouichi let his blade fade out of existence. "I apologize for that I was not aware of Lord Cherubimon having Gennai bring you here to see if Lobomon would work with any of you. My name is Kouichi Kimura and I am the Warrior of Darkness."
"And Gennai said you were a bit shy."

"I can be at times, Taichi Kamiya. As for how I know your name. Well, let's accomplish what it is that you came here for first. It might be best for you to try first Child of Light."

Tai looked like he wanted to argue but Gennai just shook his head. He could guess why it is that Kouichi wanted to have Kari try first. Other than the missing Warrior of Fire Koji was the second strongest of them and the second most in tune with their element. If Takuya had to be reincarnated he still most likely would have had the element of fire under his command so it made sense that Koji did as well. As for how he knew Tai's name he had a guess.

Kari walked forward to the pit in the center and turned back to the Warrior of Darkness and asked "Now what."

"Whatever it is that you think would draw Lobomon from the pit. I couldn't tell you what would get him to come out as I wasn't here when he had first come out and even if I did there is no guarantee that he would come out for you if you tried that way."

Kari turned back to the pit with an idea. She had a feeling that Kouichi did know but chose not to say. Taking a deep breath she jumped.

She could hear Tai call her name and knew that she would be fine. She had done this before after all and this time she wasn't being chased.

When Kari had jumped Tai felt that his heart stopped and he called her name. When she gave no response he went to jump in after her but Matt grabbed him back. "Let go of me I have to save her."

"Do you think that she would want you to jump down after her?(Since the beginning of Story)

She wanted to try to get Lobomon. I don't that he would let her die."

"He's right. When Koji the original Warrior of Light had fallen down the hole trying to escape a Digimon Lobomon saved him. She'll be fine."

Gennai had just finished his sentence when a beam of light came from the hole in the ground. A Digimon came from the beam of light. He looked cross between a man and a wolf with white and light purple armor on. There was the same symbol on his shoulders as what was in the fire. The strange Digimon turned to Kouichi and said "You have some explaining to do TK."

With the Dark Masters (Evil Masters)

"Did anyone else see that strange beam of light that shot up?" A wooden puppet-like Digimon named Puppetmon.

"Of course we saw it none of us are blind." A metal dinosaur Digimon by the name of Machinedramon said.

"Maybe it's another Warrior. We should check it out." Puppetmon said.

"No. We wait to see if they lead us to the others." A clown Digimon named Piedmon said.

With the Digidestined

The Digimon turned back into Kari snapping Matt out of his shock. The rockstar turned to the Warrior of Darkness and glared. "If she is correct then you better start explaining now."

Kouichi just sighed "I must confess that she is correct on that one. In order to understand it is important for you to keep an open mind about what it is that I'm about to explain. You see years ago there was a war between the human and beast type digimon. It was stopped by a fallen angel-type digimon. However the power he got from being elected the leader went to his head and he attacked them. Then ten warriors put a stop to him and trapped him in the core of the world. They separated their power into two spirits each or in the case of the Warrior of Darkness four spirits. They are placed in the protection of the three celestial angels. The fallen angel however corrupted one of them. Then six humans were called. One of them fell prey to the corrupted angel and attacked to other. They both were stopped but the fallen angel ended up escaping. The fallen Warrior sacrificed himself allowing the others to stop the angel and saved the world. On a stroke of luck, he survived. About 2 years later the angels were attacked and the only one that survived the attack was the one that was corrupted. The kids came back to put a stop to the digimon that attacked the angels. They managed to seal him away but at a great cost. Their families were killed and only one of the kids survived but was trapped in the digital world. The others were reincarnated. Destined to return when the Digital World was in grave danger."

"That time is now isn't it?" Tai asked looking down.

"Unfortunately yes."

"Then we'll help. There must be something that we can do." Tai said looking up to look TK in the eye.

The others looked at him in shock at the fact that he didn't even seem fazed by the fact that TK was the Warrior of Darkness and nearly beheaded them earlier. Kari smiled at her brother.

"From what it is that Takuya estimated there is the possibility that the other Warriors were reincarnated as Digidestenined. The only definite one was Kari being Koji's reincarnation the rest are up in the air. Then there is the fact that Davis is missing and he is the only one that knows the location of all the others. ." Kouichi shook his head. "Then there is the Evil Masters. If they do have Davis they might already know where the other Spirits are and have taken them. Then there's Datamon. I know that he was planning on something in order to stop you so there is no telling what he did."

"Datamon. What does he have to do with anything?" Izzy asked.

"The Evil Masters employed him to slow you down." Gennai said.

"Well, there's no use standing around down here. I know that there are no other spirits down here." Kari said clapping her hands to get everyone's attention.

The others followed Kari up and out of the ground back up with Kouichi taking the lead. Just before the exit Matt pulled a pair of sunglasses out of his pocket and handed them to TK.

"Here. After 3 weeks down there, there is the chance the sun may hurt your eyes."

TK just smiled and thanked him. Deep down though he was glad that Matt didn't treat him any different than before. Stepping out into the ruins the Human Warrior of Darkness looked around at what was left off the once prosperous town. After a couple of minutes, he went to join the others sitting down.

"What do we know of the location of the other spirits. You mentioned there were ten types and 22 total."

"Yes, however only 15 need to be found maybe less than that. I don't know if all of them were hidden." Kouichi responded. "Of the 15 left, I know the location of one of them."

"What about the other 6?" Cody asked.

"I have all four of mine. Or more accurately I was merged with the four I once held. Same with Davis and the two Fire Spirits. The Human Ice Spirit is in a cave next to a river about 2 miles north of here. It's guarded by Candlemon. Davis told me that on the way down. He knew that there was a chance that he wouldn't be able to be here to guide you. We both had the same feeling when we came. But it was a sacrifice that needed to be made. I couldn't stay in the human world with the balance being tipped and there was the chance that if I came alone that I would be caught and I'm more supstiable to being manipulated than he is."

"You keep saying Daivs's name but why?" Veemon spoke up from next to Ken.

"That's because Davis is Takuya. The True Last Legendary Warrior. I say that because Kari and I are reincarnations thus not true ones."

"I think that it would be wise to keep moving towards the next spirit. One person was already captured it would be wise to not stay." Gennai said.

The others nodded. As one they all started north.

When they made camp Izzy sent an email to Mimi to have her come over due to the fact that they had no idea who it was that would get a spirit. They couldn't rely on gender to decide as that plan flopped when Kari was shown to be the Warrior of Light and familial relations were also out because the only ones that were related were the twins and now that weren't.

Mimi emailed them back and let them know that she would be there as soon as possible.

Unknown to them that by the time the sun rose in the morning they would have an idea of what it was that Datamon had planned for them and what it was that The Dark Masters/ Evil Masters were planing.

With Datamon

"Now we pull this here and plug that in there. And voila."

Just as Datamon finished saying that the device exploded. "Not again."

He was trying to find a way to slow down the Digidestined. Datamon was just about to plug in the device again when the screen behind him came to life. "What is taking so long. It should be finished by now." Machinedramon growled from the computer.

"It is but the power is not enough. I need a stronger charge to power it."

"You won't get a stronger charge so work with what you got."

With that Machinedramon shut off the video. Datamon turned around to the machine and kicked it. When he did it started back up. Cackling he turned back to the computer and started pressing keys. On the display were pictures of the Digidestined. 4 of them were different colored from the rest. One was lilac, one was pink, one was yellow, and one was ice blue. The others were green. The Digimon were also up in blue.

In a dungeon in the Dark/Evil Masters castle.

A young man in his mid to late 20's was chained to a wall by his wrists. His brown and blond hair was matted with blood and his torso was covered in cuts, lashes, and scars. The biggest one was one on his back where it looked like someone tried to tear something out. The man looked up showing a long cut on his throat and his blue-slitted eyes.

Tilted his head as if listening to something. Then with a great heave, he snapped the chains leaving just the manacles on his wrists. Standing up he grabbed the wall for support and he opened the door and walked out. He knew that The Evil Masters wouldn't lock the door as they believed he was too weak to escape. What they didn't know was that he was saving his strength for something. He had been keeping an eye on the barrier keeping AncientSphenixmon safe and when it came down knew that the others had come.

When he escaped he found the nearest computer and hacked it. Finding the files that he needed he sent them to a computer wiz and made his escape.

Upon leaving he transformed and flew into the horizon heading towards an ice cave to wait. The only thoughts in his mind were to avoid detection and "I hope that Kouichi doesn't yell at me."

Can anyone guess who the different colored ones are. Also what they mean and who escaped.
