Chapter 3

With the announcement of their channel, their fans flooded them with subscription and follows wanting to watch their content, and indeed the couple delivered involving their fur child which Ren's father now adores.

Attaching a go-pro at their cat's collar they can watch on the cat's perspective, with a little cat ears sticking up bellow the camera view. Their day started where the kitten jumped on their bed. Ren snuggled and literally making her his personal pillow.

With loud meows, groggy response and a lot of groaning from the rude wake up, Ren's fans loved how candid that was and him being lazy, and hilarious when the camera turned to Ren's home gym and became their laundry area after Ren forgets to put his shirts back in the hamper. Another funny part is when Pepper followed Ren inside the bathroom but his fans was disappointed after he was just brushing his teeth.

Their friends decided it would be fun to make the couple's domestic life a joke after taking screenshots of some scenes where Ren is candidly funny and Kyoko being a total Asian missus. However Ren's fans liked Kyoko since she is not that showy of her sweet relationship with Ren over social media, she would only share how much loves acting and how she misses it, she would also show her apartment garden, Ren has a balcony garden which is not over crowded by Kyoko's tiny pots of herbs, tomato and chili, she also shares the beautiful pictures of her dishes which caused Ren and her own fans to ask her for her own cooking videos so she can teach them.

"Corn, there's someone at the door!" Kyoko called from the kitchen and Ren bolts to get whoever it was, teaching their cat to ride his shoulder and walk with a collar and leash on.

"Tsuruga Ren." A middle aged man handed Ren a clip board and few other men carried out huge boxes inside their apartment.

"Thank you." Ren thanked them.

"You're welcome, and good luck with all of that too, Tsuruga-san." The man chuckled and left with his crew. Ren scratched his head on where he can start, taking out his trusty everyday carry pocket knife he started taking the items from the box.

"Are those the stuff we chose online?" Kyoko excitedly gasped and Ren nodded in equal excitement.

Ren opened the one with the kitty bed he wanted and Kyoko mused seeing the design of it. It looks like a huge bowl with Chicken wing and Corn pillow, there is a little blanket too that looks like a broth. Immediately Ren placed it by their bed and let their kitten laydown with the pillows, "Pepper on top" it was his pun of the day.

"Boh, babe?" Ren started to call on her again, "Do we own a screw driver and other tools?" Ren doesn't remember.

"I think you do, but I don't know where you put it though." Kyoko also doesn't know, giving his head a scratch again, he went out and knocked on their neighbor's door.

Shortly he came back with wrenches, screwdrivers and other tools, Ren started recording his little DIY assembly time and it took him hours to figure out which piece goes where since he lost the instruction. Kyoko called for lunch and he too recorded their lunch sitting on the messy floor, eating out of a big bowl they share, their cat has been pawing at their food as well which they are trying to keep away.

It was mid-afternoon when Ren finished and set up the enormous cat tower in the small spare room they made as their fur-child's room, he then assembled the kitty house and play pin.

Ren placed lots of cat beds around the house and even in the kitchen, Kyoko found the cute basket like bed for their cat and asked Ren if he can put it by the side of the counter. Immediately their tuxedo cat loved it and settled there watching Kyoko clean.

As the day ended, Ren finished the clip and saved it for editing and he would record some few more to be added to it.

And as usual every now and then Ren's parents calls them, and for the evening, the couple are currently hanging out in the living room with their cat, television blaring and airing some of the episodes they taped in the previous. "We'll be visiting soon." Kuu said longingly to his children.

"We'll be waiting, and we miss you Otou-san." Kyoko rested her head on Ren's shoulder.

"Dad, since this pandemic will be taking longer and I realize that the apartment is small." Ren thought.

"What do you mean small? It's just you, me and Peppers here?" Kyoko seemed confused.

"True, but I want more space where we can have our own backyard and walk around, you can have your garden and I can make a pond or something." Ren said.

"True, it would be best to get a house, son. I remember when I dated your mother I thought of a future with her and a house is a best investment." Kuu agreed, "And besides it would be nice to have it around in cases that the media and worse, paparazzi will be around your heel in tight times kids." Kyoko can't argue as it is a valid point.

"Try and look for good places kids. Well, I need to go your mom is calling me, she's in a tight spot right now."

"Designer's block again?" Kyoko looked concerned and Kuu nodded.

"Send our love to mom, dad." Ren bid and turned the computer off.

"A house?" Kyoko turned to him.

"I would love if we can have it in Kyoto, you know fresh air, no busy streets, just nature there." Ren thought.

"And away from our job?" She looked concerned.

"I know, but since we are in this situation it would be best to lay low there for a while. We'll have our own private place there whenever we are off from work and would come back here when we are working. I know it's a bit difficult but we need a change of pace at this moment, and in the future it would be wonderful to have our big family to stay in Kyoto." He kissed her.

"Can we think about this for a while?" She asked and Ren smiled knowing this is a big change for them.

For a few days she pondered about the idea of moving to Kyoto for the time being and having their permanent address there, it wasn't such a big loss since Kuu gave them advice from time to time, and having their own place aside from a city apartment would be wonderful especially they would be staying at home often. "So, when's the big move?" Kuu asked excitedly.

"Not yet, we're still thinking of the two houses we found thanks to Yuki-kun." Ren credited his manager for the help, "But we wanted to have that big house near the Ryokan since it is connected to the forest and the creek where Kyoko and I met." Ren said delightedly.

"Then get that place! That is not a question anymore!" Julie added in excitement.

"I want that place too." Kyoko agreed, "The house needs to have little renovation but all in all it was a beautiful place. I remember the previous owner of it too." Kyoko added.

"That's great then, maybe you can make a contract to them and see if they can offer low price for the place." Kuu said. "And Kuon, son? Let Kyoko handle it, you're terrible in business." Kuu chuckled and Ren pouted at his father.

Indeed after getting hold of the old couple who owns the house, Kyoko introduced herself as the little girl who used to play in their flower garden and they were delighted that she was the one who will buy the house. "I know that traveling at this moment is an awful idea but they wanted to meet us." Ren informed her.

"I guess it can't be helped, but we can let them know that we'd visit when we're going to purchase the house right?" And Ren nodded.

"Of course they'll understand, I'll call Okita-san right now." He said and sat back to his office chair and contacted the old man.

Two months later, the couple who has been active in their social media accounts and especially their channel having to feature their fur baby all the time. Presently they are getting ready to leave for Kyoto and take the keys on their new home.

They packed little things, but they decided to take the pun intended cat bed which they both like. The drive was long but fun especially the couple baby talks their cat and pointing at land marks.

Finally arriving the old couple greeted them and Kyoko maintained social distancing but still showed her affection to them as she tanked the couple for letting her play in their backyard.

"Look at you dear." The woman said adoringly, "You were just a little girl playing and now you are a wonderful actress!" Even with the face mask and face shield the old woman's smile could not be contained and noticeable, "And you landed a hunk, sweety~" She teased and Kyoko laughed at it.

"Yes I did, he needs a little help on the DIY department but he'll hold up." Ren pouted.

"Oh my, who is this gentleman?" The old man reached out to Ren's shoulder to pet the fluffy cat who grew a bit bigger.

"This is our Mr. Pepper and he's seven months now." Ren introduced and the cat gave a loud purring meow at them which made the old couple happy.

"Come in!" They told and they gave Ren and Kyoko a tour, "Your things arrived a week ago and I might say the appliance company you have in Tokyo work wonders to this place." The woman said.

"Thank you for overseeing it, Mrs. Okita, Ren and I wanted to settle here for the longest time, we know having to go back and forth for our work but we wanted to stay where we met as children and always visit it."

"You know, before I married the love of my life, the first thing in my mind was get a house. Because that is where dreams are being made. Having to let go of this place is difficult because this is where it all started but since we are getting old we need constant assistance from our children, and we made a hard decision to stay with them." The old man said, "You two made a wonderful decision to get a house, Apartments are small even though it's just both of you, no matter how big your apartment is it will not cut off to a place where you can have your own yard and watch your children play under the sun." Kyoko felt that.

"You both do not need to buy this place, we are giving it to you." Kyoko and Ren was shocked.

"As much as we wanted to thank you for your generosity we cannot just accept it." Ren and Kyoko said.

"This place is rundown already, it has been left for the longest of time, our children does not want it anymore since they live in the city and we are to move back to them soon." The woman patted Kyoko's hand, "Tell you what, consider it paid if you renovate everything, especially the kitchen and sun room." The woman said.

Kyoko wanted to give them a hug but refrained because of the current situation, "I will also make sure to plant more flowers in your garden." It made the woman happier knowing that she is still the little girl that played in their yard.

After the old couple left, Ren and Kyoko inspected the place, it wasn't run down, rather it was in good condition, indeed the Sunroom needs some love, the garden with a little more attention, and the kitchen with few things needed to be installed. "I think I can fix that." Kyoko wanted to doubt Ren but she loves him too much and cheered on him instead.

"You know what, I am not assembling another cat houses and towers, let's just get a premade one." Ren also suggested and Kyoko burst out laughing.

With the next morning Ren recorded himself in his cargo shorts and work boots, he was shirtless doing wood work, his inner handy Manny is progressing he now owns some power tools after some jokes thrown at him online by Kijima, Koga and even Sho. However their Boss was the biggest thorn on his back-side after the screwdriver thing.

Ren is currently fixing the kitchen adding a center counter for their breakfast table and Kyoko's wider work space, he installed that evening some of his ordered organizers he has back in their shared apartment.

With his skill improving, he might be able to fix the place on his own, Kyoko on the other hand is blessing her and Ren's fans with her cooking as she helps them do basic dishes to impress.

Their recent upload caused another chaos since they upgraded from their domestic apartment life, to away from the city and get a house life. Stipulations and rumors started to spread that they are married already and preparing.

Ren laughed at that one since in truth they are not yet married, but their move was a big part of their future plans. They can all see the couple's delight showing off their home, however not mentioning where they are, funny how their managers is finally staying with them like it is one big vacation, however poor Yashiro was roped to be Ren's DIY buddy.

"So when do you plan to propose?" Yashiro whispered.

"Tomorrow." Ren smiled looking at the beautiful white gold ring he is looking, "I want to make it official." He excitedly said.

"I'm glad your plan showing off Kyoko to social media worked, It gave her courage to be out publicly with you and turn her back to her doubts." Yashiro patted him.

"Let's face it, I was playing a hard ball game on that actually, but I'm glad it worked well. Hopefully she'll say yes."

"There is no doubt that she will say yes to you." His bestfriend assured.

"Thank you, brother." Ren gave him a hug.
