In theory, she aught to have witnessed the proceedings at the Conclave and returned to her Clan with much needed answers. In theory, even when that went wrong she aught to have been able to slip away, talk her way out of it. That was what she knew how to do. But theory fell painfully short of the reality. A reality that smelled of smoke and charred bone, for her, and her captors.
