Seeing how the Assault on CLASSIFIED also known as TOP SECRET, has been deemed a failure with the high casualties sustained in the operation, we are currently in the process of re-grouping and re-organizing into a completely new detachment. Our forces have confirmed that the enemy have been able to re fortify and gather enough materials and reinforcements to make another assault impossible. Their current forces have been completely restored and repaired and are calculated to be at 100% strength, in line with our latest intel report. Without the element of surprise as before, we are now having to readjust and re-evaluate our position as we are in danger of an overwhelming and massive counter-attack if they discover our location. We have reached our maximum level of sustainable personnel, which is in place to retain both our security and anonymity in the wastes, to a degree. We have done our best to cover our tracks pertaining to our exploits, which, to put it in the common terms of the wasteland, nothing short of terrifying. There are so many facets associated with our primary goals, which no doubt has made things even more complicated when taken into account the many one offs and secondary, tertiary, quaternary objectives still needing to be accomplished.
MiSSION STATUS: ON HOLD

INFORMATION AS OF OCTOBER 25TH, 2199
With all (Eastern) Brotherhood members surviving the initial assault (which also served as a test bed seeking to identify any weaknesses in our leadership when it came to joint operations, and directing / leading different forces and observing the current issued equipment). It has been decided ( majority vote 32-18) that the operation be placed under the control and command of (recently promoted) Paladin Lord Wolfe. He is already sufficiently trained in the procedures and etiquette of conducting these types of operations as well as having access to all of the Eastern Division Brotherhood of Steel Resources without being questioned, within reasonable limits. This is the primary reason we were able to recruit the needed personnel quickly from the requested pools and without giving away any of the details of why our operation took immediate precedence. The Enclave, however, is a completely different story. Being the larger force, as well as the vanguard (of the mission and other developments) they sustained 70% casualty rate. Afterwards, they chose to completely withdraw from the Joint Unit and return to their respective hidden base(s) most likely on the West Coast (which are of no importance right now), taking whatever tech they had acquired with them. A small force has chosen to stay behind and complete the mission with us, feeling as though it was more in line with what their true mission parameters dictated when instructed to re-facilitate the wastes and instal the new leadership.
The constant digital attacks and recovery of information in Vault 0 (directly from the Calculator's mainframe) has finally cracked the code to the cryogenically preserved members of the former military personnel located within the mountain complex itself. We have recovered a special operations unit (known as Unites States Space Administration-Joint Task Force Rapid Defense Squadron). USSA/-RDS. The unit was mostly comprised of Tier One operators from before the war known only as Delta. The files were located under: Deep Sleep Project / Experimental Special War-fighting and Defense. This site (Now known as Bunker Lambda ^) was hidden so well, that even the former U.S. agencies or former staff members at the highest levels of government were completely unaware of its contents. The scientists, engineers, leaders, etc. found in Vault-0, were mostly found brain dead due to failure of life support systems, yet this specific group was preserved due to the fact that their main goal was specifically a last line of defense against everything imaginable. Even the Calculator was unable to active them. Only by securing a former employee were we able to access the security gates. (More information on that later). In military terms, it is basically an Enclave 5th Column Sigma organization that we've integrated into the Brotherhood of Steel. After being revived, they seemed to be fully functional and cognizant soldiers, not at all phased by the current conditions, as they were specifically trained for a similar scenario; even though it was difficult at first to explain to them what had actually happened.

There are a large amount of other sources we're interested in investigating further in the region.

Everything is being kept extremely compartmentalized, most of the Squadrons are unaware of the other departments attached to this mission Project. This allows us to conduct a series of missions fulfilling a wide spectrum of goals intended to pacify and retain our position here in the post apocalyptic nightmare. I've included our top tier assault squadrons which are considered extremely valuable assets, with a 100% track record. They are mainly formed up from the best Paladins within the Eastern Brotherhood of Steel members as well as the recovered space warfighters. Our numbers are close if not exceeding in the hundreds, all spread throughout the region, and are expected to stay that way, well into the 2240's. Our Scribes are working around the clock to discover new weaknesses of our many enemies, yet this may take a lot more time. Who knows, this could be more risky, also leading into the next 2 centuries if we do not succeed in figuring out how our enemies are managing to survive and sustain their numbers, we are suspecting some kind of cloning asset derived from F.E.V. As well as the growing threat of the various , Mutants, NCR, and other anomalies which seem to be showing up every other day, our resources are stretched to the absolute limit as of right now. Our supply routes, even though well protected, are suspect, and so we must transport large quantities all at once so as not to use the routes constantly. Also, we are working on our main project: Project Black Mirror.

Onto other News. The Elders back in Chicago are pleased with our current mission goals, yet seem to be more fixated on other projects which are going to take a lot more time and materials before we begin to see any progress being made at all! I cannot blame them, as the amount of intel we are being supplied with are enough to choke a brahmin. Trying to keep an eye on all these other factions is difficult enough, nothing being said on how we're supposed to engage in a conflict when we'd be surrounded, or just watch them as they continue to grow in numbers. The Elders are also worried about our own information being stolen or our bases being discovered, via the Poseidon-Network, but we have our best people working on securing it, making sure to transfer everything into hardcopies and burning the rest, including any backdoors which were in use when we entered the system.
Since breaking all contact with the faction known as the Enclave and therefore abandoning any agreements we've made in the process, we are now in a race against them to secure as much valuable resources and weapon information and any technology in the areas we are presently reconnoitering, and the regions we plan to move into. They seem like they would present a formidable enemy if we allow them to freely galavant across the commonwealths with no restrictions or etiquette. It was a mistake to let them abscond with the tech which we acquired and which we agreed to share mutually. This could lead to unforeseen consequences as well as allowing a technology gap to be formed where they theoretically are ahead in power armor designs and plasma weaponry. Of course this also depends on what their facilities are equipped with, such as the tooling required to manufacture new power armor frames, etc. If so, we have indeed made a foolish gamble and now must commit a force to rectify this tactical error. No mention of this will be made to any other chapter.

Time flies. But war, war never changes…
Paladin Lord Wolfe stood out on the tarmac watching as the newest Knights, in a large column stretching the width of the repaired concrete, were picking off the smallest debris off the runway leaving it spotless. The sun had just rose up over the horizon and its bright rays washed over the facility they had called home for the past few years. It had been a long journey to get here, yet the progress they had made was more than worth it. They were still not recognized by the elders in the West, but that was almost a laughable situation now. THEY were the ones who should have the say in who recognized who. Since the beginning of this campaign, Wolfe had watched and directed the Eastern BoS to victory time and time again. Of course, after a few months of unrelenting battle, recovering dozens of strategic hard points, and invaluable technology, they had come to a brick wall in the campaign. No leads. Nothing. The Mysterious group known only as The Enclave had vanished as suspiciously as they had arrived. However it was an almost understood silence between the two factions that they watched and waited for one another, their time apart was only temporary. A suspected attack was the toast of the town in Chicago. And many reinforcements have been made and constructed in and around Chicago.
His gaze touched down lightly on Leanne. Or, Knight Burns. She had recently been in line for a promotion. But he felt that she still had to prove her worth a bit more. Her attitude always kept moral up and her decisions in the field were always of good tactical judgment. She was well versed in explosives and oversized small arms, and just as knowledgeable about energy weapons and repairs. He admired her enthusiasm and thought she'd make rank quickly (as she already had), from recently being a Squire only 2 years ago. It was a rare occasion that recruits such as her were found. By that he meant that they were decently educated and were able to quickly apply those smarts in real world situations.
She stood at a table of disassembled weapons, guiding her fellow brothers and sisters in advanced repairing and maintenance when she suddenly froze and turned back around, her eyes locking with the Paladin Lord as he watched over the juvenile squad. It startled him, as he nodded slowly acknowledging her silently behind his MK II APA helmet. She returned the nod quietly and returned to supervising the squad. He didn't like the idea of fraternizing with the enlisted, and knew that nothing should come of them being anything more than compatriots serving the Order. It had been years since his wife had passed away, under valorous conditions, holding the line as they withdrew from insurmountable odds, saving many lives in the process. It pained him to think that he should move on, even though it had been years.
He walked back to the main control and command center where the main servers hummed warmly, spitting out hardcopies of various abstracts and data. He picked up a clipboard and read the morning brief: which was the same dismal routine he had seen time and time again. However they were close. Close to another big break. BIG MT. Some scientific center, similar to Vault 0 in fact, the only difference is that BIG Mt.'s hard outer shell had been completely demolished leaving the entire crater of research centers and labs wholly exposed. Yet the dangers there were unknown, and his instincts from past excursions left him weary of going in without getting all the available intel possible.
His entanglement with the Enclave had made him uncertain and added pressure to his decision making. If not somewhat sloppy. Knowing that another highly dedicated, well funded and technologically equal foe was out there, had cost him many nights of restless slumber. An intangible pain which made its way to the surface in childish outbursts and arrogant gestures to his superiors. He dedicated his own time to trying to track them down, knowing that they also grew in strength while they both bided their time. He was not about to lose to this other faction of military zealots.
He entered his own private quarters after turning his APA MKII to the garage for minor repairs. He pulled the chair from the desk and sat down, a stack of unfixed reports scattered around the desk, which he had failed to sign off on were beginning to stagnate with the edges being torn and small spills and stains from coffee reminding him that he'd have to redraft the repots entirely. He looked at the large map of the area pinned to the back wall. The multiple colored pins dotted the map, began showing a set pattern to the movements of their foes and allies alike. He picked up a random data sheet: F.E.V. He tossed it aside picking up another sheet: Enclave Possible FOB sites. He also threw that one aside. It was the same bullcrap over and over again. Signifying nothing.
There were repots of mutated creatures far to the north, unlike anything seen before. He had recently sent a small recon squad with a hairy deathclaw sentinel to investigate the findings. So far nothing. But it had only been a few days ago, plenty of time to find something worth reporting. The intelligent deathclaws had been more than useful in this campaign, however the funds and materials required to raise and train the intelligent deathclaws were in high demand, so they only had a few, and used them sparingly, if at all but the highest priority missions. Besides, most of the time their temperament was questionable. They could be just as big of a threat to the team, if anything went wrong during the training as well. So far though they had a great track record, so they continued to use them in the field. He spent a few hours mulling over the reports searching for anything that could give him clues about the area surrounding Big Mt. Then he remembered. The prisoner they had recently captured. He stood and stretched his limbs with an exaggerated yawn. He swiftly took a clipboard and made his way down the corridors to the prisoner holding cells.
"Paladin Lord Wolfe. Here to speak to prisoner 221." He spoke into the intercom device.
"You're cleared to visit." Came the tinny reply.
He walked down a flight of stairs to the prisoners cell. They had just captured him in the latest raid of a scientific research center. A old Repconn facility.
"Step into the light." He ordered the prisoner.
The man slowly drug his feet into the light, still in his civilian clothes, ragged, but not all that dirty. A ghoul. His thin patched hair was combed to the side in a rough part. He casually sat in a chair at the table behind the one sided reflective glass of the holding cell.
"Dr. Whitzbury? Is that you?"
"Of course it's me you dummy."
Wolfe shrugged off the remark.
"I want you to tell me all you know of this Big. Mt. Facility." Ordered Wolfe.
