Pokémon Crimson Gold

Chapter 78: The Rainbow Pokémon

All was right in the world seemingly for Ethan. Team Rocket had been defeated once and for all. He had collected all eight badges. And it was soon time to take on the Indigo league, he finally made his way to right outside of Blackthorn where he and Meganium awaited Professor Elm in his helicopter.

They stood outside the city in the hot sun awaiting the man as Ethan grew more annoyed.

"He said that'd he be here in an hour, but it's been an hour and a half!" The Trainer complained checking his Pokégear.

"Megay..." Meganium sighed.

The boy walked in a straight line before walking back over and over again agitated, normally he would be bored out of his mind but now he was reminiscing.

….

"It was always going to end like this, soon enough a group of cowards who spoke good and evil would come and do this..." Proton muttered placing a single bullet inside the chamber of his revolver.

"It's no use, give up." The Dragon Master scolded. "The only person you could kill with that gun is yourself, our Pokémon can protect us from any manmade weapon."

"But what I never expected..." Proton continued as he closed the chamber to his gun. "Was that in the end one of those fools would be my own comrade!"

"Wait a minute..." Ethan said gaining a realization as he released Espeon from his clutch. "Don't tell me..."

"I may have lost, but Team Rocket will not die with me!" Proton exclaimed with a vicious smile placing his revolver's barrel to his head. Everyone's eyes lit up with shock minus Ethan who had already gotten the idea that was what he was going to do.

"You can't be..." Lance said in awe.

"Don't tell me..." Clair cried out.

"Proton you fool!" Ariana said looking away.

All of Ethan's Pokémon dropped their battle stances as they realized it was the end. Their Trainer however rushed forth to Proton holding his arm out.

"Don't do it!" Ethan screamed dashing to his enemy.

"Team Rocket will live on!" Proton said with a terrifying grin, one Ethan surely would not forget for a long time to come. The crazed man flicked the hammer of the gun down and clicked on the trigger.

….

"Megay! Megay!" Ethan heard the cry of his starter which woke him from his deep thought. Ethan turned to Meganium who was using her vine to point up to the sky.

"What's going on?" Ethan questioned looking up to see a helicopter which made him relieved. It was pretty average in size, maybe even a bit too small for someone of Professor Elm's status.

"Okay, so he's here now!" Ethan exclaimed as the helicopter lowered but not quite to his level on the ground. It hovered about fifteen off the ground when the door opened and to no surprise it was Professor Elm.

"Ethan! Good to see you again!" Cried the professor poking his head through the door of the helicopter to which the kid couldn't hear thanks to the fast blades of the helicopter.

"What was that!?" Ethan shouted as loud as possible for the professor to hear up into the air.

"Huh, did you say something!" Elm yelled back annoying both Ethan and Meganium to no end.

"Can you pick us up or something already!" Ethan yelled at the top of his lungs once again staring into the sky.

"You're going to have to speak louder!" Elm yelled back making Ethan fall to the floor in exhaustion.

"This is going to take forever..." The Trainer mumbled laying down flat.

Elm went back inside the helicopter closing the door before reopening it and pulling out a ladder. "I'm going to throw it down, you climb alright!" He yelled staring down at his protégé from fifteen feet.

"Can you repeat that!?" Ethan once again screamed causing the equally exhausted Professor Elm to just go and toss the ladder. It didn't appear to be very strong as it was just rope but Ethan knew he'd have to climb it instantly.

He reached into his bag and grabbed his grass type's Pokéball before focusing it on her. "I guess you've got to go into your Pokéball until we reach Ecruteak, that alright with you?"

"Megay!" Meganium agreed bumping her head on the button of the Pokéball instantly taking her inside. Right after this Ethan turned around and gave a deep breath before he took his first steps onto the ladder. As he took each step he decided he wouldn't look back down as if he did he'd be too nervous to take another step. But he did look down when he heard a cheer.

"Ethan, good luck in the Indigo league!"

"So long Ethan, congratulations on the eight badges!"

The boy looked down still only halfway up the ladder. To no surprise it was Clair and her younger cousin Lenny who were smiling and waving.

"Y-you guys..." Ethan said which of course they couldn't hear from his altitude.

"Bye Ethan! We'll see you at the Indigo league!" Lenny yelled just barely loud enough for Ethan to hear.

"Train hard until the big day, maybe we'll even have a rematch someday!" Clair yelled as equally loud as he cousin. Seeing the two so close filled the boy with happiness, almost like him having went to Blackthorn brought them together.

Ethan began waving back with one arm and holding on the ladder with the other. "Thanks you guys, I'll see you both then!"

As Ethan spoke his words he saw a fast blur appearing directly in front of him by about ten meters. He turned his attention up to see Lance atop his Dragonite.

The Champion simply smiled raising two fingers waving them to Ethan. Seeing him made the boy chuckle.

"And goodbye to you as well, Lance." Ethan said waving as he went up the ladder. "I'll be battling you soon, at the Indigo league!"

Lance smiled watching as the boy took off in the helicopter recollecting his adventures with the boy.

Ethan, I look forward to that day... The Dragonite Tamer thought.

"Hey Professor!" Ethan said while Elm gave him a hand helping him on board.

"Good to see you, Ethan!" Elm chuckled. "Nice to finally be able to hear you!"

The Trainer took a look around to check out the helicopter, it was crammy looking with many fliers posted to the wall and the seats they were provided with were torn up.

"Hey, that reminds me. Why didn't you just set the helicopter down?" Ethan asked genuinely confused.

"Well that's because..." Elm started before face palming.

As the helicopter began to take off Ethan took one last view of the city he was leaving. His time there was complete and he had done all he had set out to do. Before it was out of sight to him he gathered one last thought.

And goodbye to you as well, Kris... Ethan thought.

….

It was a mildly long flight to Ecruteak, all though much longer than it ever could hope to be on foot. Four hours in total before Ethan and Elm slid down the elevator together as they entered the city to which Ethan hadn't been to in about a month or more.

"Ecruteak's just as pretty as I remember!" Ethan exclaimed landing on the ground as Elm slowly followed suit. The city looked exactly the same as the boy had remembered. They were outside the opening gate and Ethan could see from afar in the distance the old burned tower.

"Alright, come on Meganium!" Ethan yelled as he threw his Pokéball releasing his starter.

"Megayy!" Meganium instantly cried going by Ethan's side. She hadn't been released since Blackthorn so she instantly hugged her Trainer with her vines making Ethan laugh.

"Haha, you're tickling me!" Ethan laughed as he pet his starter behind her ears before Professor Elm came from right behind him.

"W-wow, you never mentioned Bayleef evolved!?" Elm exclaimed with a look of amazement as Ethan released Meganium from his arms.

"You bet." Ethan said letting go of his starter. He looked above as the helicopter was leaving making him wonder even further. All while Elm took notice of the scar on the grass type's underbelly with a look of concern.

"Hold on now, you still haven't told me what we're doing in Ecruteak, I thought we'd be going back to New Bark Town for sure." Ethan told to Elm who rubbed the back of his neck.

"Fine I'll tell you now, you really want to know what we're doing here Ethan, well someone, or should I say, some *people* want to see you." Elm said giving the boy a hint.

"Megay Megay!" Meganium said to Ethan nudging his jacket sleeve, and to her luck Ethan already had what she had in mind.

"I know girl, I know. I'd bet the Kimono girls want to see me." Ethan claimed which made Elm smile and clap.

"That's right Ethan. They contacted me saying they wanted to get in contact with you. They needed to see you by today you see. So I would have came pick you up from Blackthorn regardless of if you got your eighth badge yet." Elm said.

Normally Ethan would have been excited the five all very cute Kimono wanted to see him but he was more mature than he was at the start of his journey. He knew whatever they needed to see him for would be serious.

"Well, let's not keep them waiting." Ethan said tugging the straps of his backpack readjusting it. "Let's get on with it Professor!"

"Sounds like a plan!" Elm responded with as he, Ethan, and Meganium walked into through the entrance of the city.

Having been there two times already, Ethan knew Ecruteak almost like the back of his hand. It didn't take very long before he made his way to the Kimono girl's theater alongside the Professor. As he held the handle to the door he took one last turn to the Professor and his starter.

"What are you waiting for Ethan?" Professor Elm asked.

"Megay Megay!" Meganium shrieked happily awaiting for what they were in store for.

"Okay, let's go!" Ethan exclaimed as he opened the door entering it along with Meganium and Professor Elm.

Upon entering the room was pure black with no way for anyone to see a thing alarming the Trainer. "Hold on, I can't see squat!?"

"M-me too!" Elm cried from behind Ethan.

"M-Megay!" Meganium agreed.

This was all before on the center of the room, a single spotlight shined, it was so bright it caused Ethan to look away for a second before looking back, and surly enough, it was the Kimono girl in red.

She looked towards Ethan were her eyes which as usual pierced the boy's very soul. She was so beautiful, yet it felt different this time. He wasn't as infatuated before; he was more so interested with what she and her sisters needed for him.

"Greetings, Ethan." She smiled. "It's nice to see you again."

"And it's nice to see you again, Zuki." The Trainer in red and gold said. He had remembered her name from when she revealed it to him for the first time back in Goldenrod. She finally clapped her hands and so all the lights in the room turned on revealing the four other sisters.

From the left of Zuki were two Kimono girls, one in green and the other in purple.

"Kuni." The one in green said.

"Sayo." The one in purple said.

From the right of Zuki were two other Kimono girls, one in yellow and one in blue.

"Miki." The one in yellow said.

"Naoko." The one in blue said.

"As you know, we are the Kimono girls." Zuki spoke before taking a glance to Professor Elm. "Greetings as well, Professor!"

"Greetings Zuki!" Elm replied.

Oh yeah, Zuki once said she had Togetic back when he was an egg... Ethan realized. She gave the egg up to Elm before I got it, so they ought to know each other.

"It's nice to be here again." Ethan stated with a beaming smile as he sat on his knees with Elm following behind him. The Kimono girls in front of them followed suit also getting on their knees before they continued speaking.

"So, may I ask why you summoned Ethan?" Elm asked finally getting the big question out the way.

"We believe Ethan here has proven himself worthy. He's a hero who's even taken on Team Rocket and defeated them countless times." Miki said surprising Ethan and Meganium.

"Well, I don't know if I'd call myself a hero, but sure." Ethan said rubbing the back of his neck.

"But you are, and not just kind to others but kind to your Pokémon." Naoko smiled.

"You've achieved so much, on top of getting all eight badges. You are definitely worthy." Sayo explained.

"Worthy indeed." Kuni agreed.

"H-hold on, worthy of what?" Ethan asked not getting the idea.

Zuki gave a warm smile before clasping her hands together. "Bringing back Ho-Oh."

"BRINGING BACK HO-OH!?" Both Ethan and Professor Elm exclaimed in unison standing up unable to believe what they had heard.

"W-wait, did we hear you ladies correctly!" Elm asked frantically. "It almost sounded like you said, bring back Ho-Oh!"

"Yeah, I mean no way we heard you correctly, right?" Ethan said. "I mean my ears are still ringing from the flight here, right Meganium?"

"Megayy!" Meganium agreed.

Zuki giggled covering her mouth before continuing with her explanation. "No, you did not mishear us. You've constantly proven yourself Ethan, we saw it for sure when you rescued us from that horrible Rocket agent. How you raced for your Pokémon after it had been taken for you and fought to no end. I also saw it, in Goldenrod all those weeks ago. How you bravely stormed the Radio tower. You are worthy Ethan."

"Worthy to meet a legendary Pokémon..." Ethan began to get lost in thought. He had thought Suicune had interested in him but found out recently it had aligned itself with Kris and only Kris and only ever seek him out so he could avenge her. But now he was deemed worthy to actually meet a legendary, and Ho-Oh at that. One such legendary many didn't even believe to be real.

"Okay then. I will, I'd like to see Ho-Oh." Ethan said sitting back down to his knees. "But what'll happen then, how do we know its even will want to see us?"

"Of course Ho-Oh will, it's said to shine down on others and give them eternal happiness, for both humans and Pokémon." Kuni assured Ethan.

Elm went to Ethan's ear and whispered. "It's also said in the olden times humans would sacrifice Pokémon and even on occasion themselves to please Ho-Oh so it wouldn't destroy the world in flames."

Ethan looked to the Professor before shaking his head. "I've met a legendary Pokémon, they're not like that. I have no doubt Ho-Oh will be excited to meet with humanity."

"So, we should get going right now to the Bell Tower. And for that, you'll need this." Zuki said grabbing Ethan's hand and placing something in it. When Ethan looked down to his hand he saw a shiny bell looking to be made from the tears of Angels.

"W-what is this?" Ethan asked as he held it in his fingertips showing it off to Meganium. "It's pretty looking."

"The Clear Bell, it will come in handy for when we're atop the tower, before we get going, is there anything you would like to do?" Zuki asked.

Ethan crossed his arms and began to think. He thought back to the man who even told him about Ho-Oh in the first place and he knew what he had to do.

"I'll be back I promise, there's just one person I want to be there when we summon Ho-Oh." Ethan said as he got up from his knees once more along with the Clear Bell in hand.

"We understand." Zuki and the rest agreed. Ethan then turned to Elm who shot him a nod.

"Be back quick, okay, we don't want to keep the Kimono girl's waiting too long, right?" Elm asked.

"Right!" Ethan agreed opening the door with Meganium following behind him. He happily skipped across the street making his way to the ghost type gym he had challenged all the way back. The man residing there even almost sacrificed his life for him the last time they met. Someone he trusted entirely.

"Morty, Morty, you there!" Ethan exclaimed eagerly as he knocked on the door. Finally the blond Gym leader opened the door surprised to see the boy.

"If isn't my good friend Ethan, fancy seeing you here in Ecruteak again." Morty happily exclaimed placing his hand on Ethan's cap.

"Hey Morty, it's great seeing you again too, how's it been!?" He asked.

"Great, got some pretty strong challengers recently. By the way you caught me at a good time, I was about to head to the old Burned Tower just now."

"Well it's a good thing you didn't go off to the Burned Tower!" Ethan exclaimed confusing the ghost tamer.

"What do you mean?" Morty replied.

Ecruteak was naturally a quiet town. Not many people were obnoxiously loud and the streets were mostly filled with polite and friendly folks. So it was a surprise to everyone when they heard the mostly self-reserved Gym leader of the very town screaming so loud he nearly cracked glass.

"WHATTT! IS IT TRUE IS IT TRUE!" Morty screamed dashing straight for the dance theater alarming the Kimono girls and even Professor Elm. As soon as he opened the door he was met with the startled eyes of everyone inside.

"S-sorry about that!" Ethan chuckled entering from behind Morty. "He's just really excited to see Ho-Oh."

"I still just can't believe it, my whole life, I've wanted to see Ho-Oh!" Morty said laughing like a maniac. "And now's my chance, I'm so hyped I can hardly wait!"

"Y-yes." Zuki giggled as she got up from her knees along with her sisters. "So, are we all ready to set off, Ethan?"

The young Trainer turned and looked around. Everyone looked prepared, especially Meganium who was beaming with joy.

"Megayy!" She screamed excitedly as she leaped through the door, with that signifying for Ethan to come and follow her.

"Wait up Meganium!" Ethan cried to his overzealous starter as he gave chase behind her. Behind him quickly following behind him were Morty, Professor Elm, and the Kimono girls.

Ho-Oh, here we come... Ethan thought as he ran.

….

It felt like his whole journey was leading up to this. Every day he tried to give his Pokémon and even others joy and his hard work had paid off. He helped a lot of people, and this was his reward, a meeting with Ho-Oh.

As he stood atop the Bell tower side by side with his Meganium he looked over to his right, there stood the five Kimono girls. Zuki, Kuni, Naoko, Sayo, and Miki. And to his left was Meganium, Elm, and Morty, Morty who was barely able to stand still in his excitement.

Overall the Bell Tower was quite large. Not much farther up altitude and they'd have passed the clouds. They were standing on a place on the roof with many statues of the Rainbow Pokémon Ho-Oh whom they were about to summon.

"Yes, this is where we welcome Ho-Oh. Are you ready to begin Ethan?" Zuki asked confusing Ethan.

"Ugh, still not quite sure what I have to do with this bell thing?" Ethan asked getting a soft chuckle from Zuki.

"It's easy I promise, you won't have to do much, we will quickly begin our dance we have been practicing for this very moment. Once our dance becomes one with the Clear Bell we've entrusted you with." Zuki answered easing Ethan. "Okay, are we ready sisters?"

"Ready as we'll ever be." Kuni replied.

"May we please Ho-Oh." Naoko stated.

"Let us begin at once." Sayo said.

"Ready sister." Miki responded.

Their dance was beautiful. Zuki of course led her other sisters but Ethan couldn't focus on it. He was too in awe of how the Clear Bell they had given him was beginning to shine a golden yellow color.

"Take a look, Meganium..." Ethan whispered to his starter who was mesmerized by it.

"Megayy..." Meganium gasped.

By his side Professor Elm stood with intense anticipation as well as Morty who had lived his life to see the day, and that day finally came for him thanks to a challenger he had months ago.

It was then when the bell began to shine even greater shocking Ethan as it raised from his hands and into the air levitating now.

"Wha-what's going on!?" The Trainer freaked. Although he was shocked in truth he understood as it was just what Zuki had told him. The Kimono girl's dance was becoming one with the soothing sound of the bell.

The beautiful fallen Autumn leaves from atop the roof began to flow along with thew gale-like wind. Many leaves circling Ethan and the rest almost as if it was contributing to the dance. As he watched he began to realize, on the four ends of the room the bells connected were too glowing a golden-yellow color.

The main Clear Bell to which Ethan had been given flew up to the top golden pillar which was in the middle of all the statues of the legendary bird Pokémon almost as if it was cementing itself too it.

What happened next Ethan along with everyone else there would never forget. The clouds in the sky began to part like they were cut into like a cake on a birthday party. With it a bright golden light and the silhouette of a soaring phoenix with its wings spread apart.

"That's, Ho-Oh!" Ethan screamed upon the realization.

"It is indeed!" Elm said almost laughing.

Right beside Elm, Morty was the most excited of course. Yet he hadn't said a word, he simply watched closely so excited his gripped his fist so hard his nails sunk into his skin causing him to drip with blood.

Ho-Oh, at last... he simply thought.

Finally, with great acclaim the Rainbow Pokémon revealed itself from its silhouette showing its beautifully colored wings, truly an angel in the shape of a bird. Its feathers were predominantly gold and red, with yellow tail-like feathers. It had a white underside and green feathers on the tip of its wings. Along with a green stripe on its neck, a yellow long beak, black rings around its eyes, and a feathered yellow crest atop its head.

"Scwaaaaaa!" The legendary flying type screeched at a high pitch while circling in the sky. Following its trail was a golden aura to which neither Ethan nor anyone there had seen from a Pokémon there.

"It's beautiful, just as I would have thought!" Ethan exclaimed in awe of its amazing appearance. Meganium besides him was equally stunned unable to close her mouth as her jaw had dropped.

"Meganium..." The grass type simply gasped.

The Kimono girls finally stopped doing their dance taking a glance towards the sky as the legendary Pokémon finally came forth lowering as it landed its talons on the tall pillar standing front and center to everyone.

"The dance is done, just as we said, the legendary Ho-Oh would appear." Zuki said turning to Ethan who still couldn't believe it. It was unlike when he met Suicune, this Pokémon was even more graceful somehow and twice as majestic.

"Y-yeah..." Ethan simply responded with taking back all his attention afterwards to Ho-Oh once more.

"That is indeed Ho-Oh... The guardian of the sky around here from ancient times... So many have tried and tried, only to fail..." Zuki continued with. "Ethan, your heart and the Clear Bell in harmony have finally made it appear..."

The phoenix Pokémon made a slight twitch of its head. And with that starting from Zuki to the rest of her sisters, and then even Professor Elm and Morty, they all bowed down before the legendary Pokémon.

"Ho-Oh, we understand how much you have awaited a Trainer like Ethan, and so we have brought one to you..." Zuki said her head almost kissing the ground.

"In this world nearly corrupted by sin and greed, Ethan stands out, a boy who is friend to all Pokémon, we hope you see the same potential in him as we do!" Kuni said.

Ho-Oh looked over to Ethan in the middle, the only one who wasn't bowing. Right as he was about to take a step he stopped as Morty had grabbed his leg.

"What's wrong?" Ethan asked looking down to the Gym leader.

Morty slightly raised his head giving the kid a thumbs-up along with a smile. Ethan smiled back as he continued making his way forth to Ho-Oh.

"Scrahhhhh!" Ho-Oh continued to screech as Ethan and Meganium made their way towards itself. But they didn't stop until they were a foot away from the Rainbow Pokémon taking in all its glory.

"Ho-Oh..." Ethan muttered softly as he reached his hand out. Of course, there was the possibility it would reach and bite his hand off with his beak, but it of course didn't. Instead the phoenix closed its eyes and cooed as Ethan gave it a soft pet on its face.

Amazing, I'm jealous of you Ethan... Elm thought as he watched his student from the distance.

Ethan released his hold on Ho-Oh's face and dropped his arm looking the legendary straight into its eye. Just by touching the legendary he felt like he could read his thoughts, and Ho-Oh could feel his. In that split moment they were in sink but now that moment had passed.

"I'm... I'm so glad we got to meet you..." Ethan said to Ho-Oh finally finding the words. The legendary once more cooed before spreading its seven colored wings wide open and slowly raised into the air.

"Megayy!" Meganium said using her vines to wave at the flying type. Ho-Oh smiled as it began to soar into the sky at incredible speed, speed befitting of a legendary Pokémon. As the flying type took off Morty stood up running to his side before letting out a scream.

"THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR COMING HO-OH!" He yelled as loud as possible beside Ethan and Meganium. Ho-Oh was now circling in the sky looked down to the Gym leader and nodded its head before taking off into the sky once more followed by a trail of golden aura as it closed itself off among the clouds.

"That was amazing." Ethan said placing his arm around his Meganium and giving her a hug. One she returned at that. Finally the Kimono girls along with Professor Elm all stood up as Ho-Oh was no longer able to be seen.

"It was brief, but he came." Kuni said with a look of relief.

"It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." Naoko replied.

"Indeed, it was beautiful." Sayo responded.

"Ethan, even touching Ho-Oh is a great accomplishment, that means Ho-Oh has acknowledged you as well!" Miki informed to the young Trainer.

"She's right Ethan. Just as we see you Ho-Oh feels the same, perhaps you've been blessed with eternal happiness." Zuki told to Ethan making him smile.

"Alright, thanks you guys, for allowing me to meet him, for a minute there when I placed my hand on it, it felt like I could read its thoughts, and it felt, happy." Ethan said realizing he could never wash that hand again.

"And I'm thankful to you all as well..." Morty told to the Kimono girls. "Anytime you want to summon Ho-Oh again, make sure to let me know. I live for this."

"We promise, we will." Zuki laughed.

"So, you happy now Ethan?" Elm asked placing his hand on the boy's shoulder.

"Yeah, being that close to a legendary, man, nothing will ever beat that feeling!" Ethan exclaimed.

"I'm sure, now we've got to get heading back to New Bark Town and quick, I told your mom we'd be back before the evening." Elm informed the boy.

"Sure thing, we should be heading back now." Ethan said again before looking back to the Kimono girls. "Again, thanks you guys, and next time, why don't we meet Lugia!"

With that everyone on that tower laughed. Today was truly a day none of them would forget. Later the Kimono girls and Morty accompanied them as they took their leave.

"Goodbye ladies, thanks for this, I've never seen a legendary Pokémon in person." Elm told to the girls as they waved goodbye. He got in the helicopter which was now on the ground looking over to Ethan who was still saying goodbye.

"And goodbye to you guys!" Ethan said waving one arm. "Today was amazing."

"Megay Megay!" Meganium agreed.

"We're glad you felt the same way." Zuki said speaking for all her sisters. Her eyes popped open as she realized something atop Ethan's hat.

"What's wrong?" Ethan asked.

She smiled reaching for something and then grabbed what appeared to be a long, red feather sparkling a gold color. Ethan grabbed it from her instantly realizing what it was.

"A souvenir if you would." Morty replied a bit Jealous. It was then when Ethan smiled and since there were two feathers connected he ripped one handing it to the Gym leader which shocked him.

"Take it Morty, please." Ethan said as the man accepted it.

Morty smiled holding it in his hands taking the gaze of its beauty. Never before had a single feather before shined the same golden color as the aura of a legendary. He finally smiled at Ethan with a tear in his eye. "You-you'd better win the Indigo league!" He said reaching his other hand out.

"You bet!" Ethan said trying to grab Morty's hand. But as he did Morty went in and reached for a hug to which Ethan instantly returned patting Morty's back before they let go.

"Heheh, goodbye Ethan." Zuki said as she and her sisters bowed their heads. "And good luck, may the future lead you to great fortune!"

Ethan smiled and continued waving before he got on the plane after returning his Meganium and with that the helicopter took off.

"So, we should be in New Bark Town soon, I think you should keep that feather and take good care of it!" Elm told to Ethan who was too distracted by something at the window.

"Oh my God!" He said placing his face on the window. "You have to see this Professor!"

Elm came by Ethan taking a look, and to his surprise, flying by them among the clouds was the Legendary Ho-Oh.

And that's that. To anyone who wanted Ethan to catch Ho-Oh, they're two reasons why I didn't include that. 1. I never wanted Ethan to get more than six Pokémon. 2. The Indigo league will be functioning as a tournament, if he were to bring Ho-Oh to it, I mean it'd make all the battles a joke, remember when a Trainer brought a Darkrai to the Sinnoh league?
