Lost sense of purpose
Chapter Ten
It had felt strange for Special Agent Gibbs to be working on the job and a case on board the U.S.S. Benjamin Franklin out at sea. Weatherwise it was just nice even though the wind had been picking up. Once the helicopter was only ten minutes out with landing on the top deck.
McGee, Bishop, Torres, and Gibbs had a job that needed to be done and neither of them had been talking along for the ride. Only Gibbs had felt uncomfortable with knowing that his team wanted to know his personal business and he was going to give it to them just for the hell of it.
"Bishop, you have questions for me about my wife Marcie and the unborn child?" he had to say with a slight croak of his response.
"If you don't mind giving us the answers unless it's very difficult to talk about Gibbs? We are all concerned for you having to be alone again after all this time." Bishop responded.
"Marcie left for which I have no idea, Bishop. Plus I had received a registered letter from a lawyer in Washington, D.C. telling me that she had filed for divorce asking for alimony and child support with a certain amount to be discussed." he will say with becoming quiet for a few moments.
"Boss we are truly sorry about it? hopefully, things will be able to get better in the coming months to come?" McGee needed to say on the subject going along with him knowing about the operation.
"Yeah, I know. But in the meantime, it's been rather hard for me reminding things in the past with the other divorces mostly with Diane." taking in a deep breath with the crisp air of the flight. They were able to see the aircraft carrier coming up in their view sight.
"Boss what about the boys? Can't you hire a private eye to find out where they are at?" he will say to him even though he knew all of the details.
"I think I will McGee when we are finished with the cases. Right now I can't with my mind so confused." he cried out as he heard the announcement that they were going to be landing on the top deck. They waited for the rotors to stop before moving out and with meeting with Captain Williams age 56 years old and with the Navy for the past 15 years.
"Special Agent Gibbs I am Captain Williams I will take you to the bridge so that we can talk." he needed to say with the group following up the steps leading to the main bridge of the carrier.
Special Agent Gibbs was talking to the Captain about the two Naval reserved officers found. "All I know that the both of them were friends for the longest time and always seemed to be together whenever they were off duty in the gym, lockers, mess hall, and even when they were caught running an illegal card game. However, nothing came of it a while back with the judge Advocate," he responded by opening the double doors to walk inside with his team to listen in to the details.
"We will need to have our medical examiner have the bodies autopsied as soon as possible?" Gibbs said with his tone a little harsh when it comes to running the team.
"Of course Special Agent Gibbs. However, our doctor is fighting me for where the bodies should go to. But I was able to make him understand the situation." Captain Williams needed to say.
"Thank you for your cooperation Captain." Gibbs needed to have said.
"Please whatever you try to do with your team. Try not to interfere with the routine of this carrier," he commented with calling for an escort to take them to speak with some of the crew that knew the two officers.
Sometime later Bishop was checking the quarters of both of the officers shot. So far she wasn't having any luck until she checked inside the mattress to find IOU'S for close to $50,000 total in gambling debts. She had called in her husband Nick working in the other to find not a thing and including checking the mattress.
"What did you find Elle?" Nick said with Gibbs following behind.
"I was able to find an IOU worth $50,000 for gambling Gibbs. Now we need to find out where?" she commented with Gibbs telling McGee to come in with taking this back to the lab back at NICS for when they were done.
"Continue looking everyone While I check the gym." Gibbs had to say as if he was lost or something.
He was able to get a choir of positive responses while the group continued to work.

"You crazy fool we can't afford to get rid of anyone else?" Sergeant Billy Mills cleaning up the lockers of the level four gym. He screamed out at one of five involved with killing the two Naval reserved officers due to owning the Cartel a ton of money with the gambling.
"It couldn't be helped when they were asking for a piece of the action in order to get rid of their debts." Lt. Jeremy Sanderson says when someone was walking into the locker.
"Hello, I am Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs I will like to ask some questions about the deaths of the two officers found with gunshots."
"Sure enough Special Agent Gibbs what would you like to know?" Sergeant Mills asks with trying to stay calm with his nerves beginning to act up.
"Did they ever use the gym when they had gotten off watches?" Gibbs will ask with taking out his notepad and pen to write.
"All of the time to blow off steam with his friend Sammy Jackson officer on the bridge. They will usually stay two hours at best with doing their running, swimming, and even boxing at times."
"Anything out of the ordinary for when it comes to others interrupting their routine?" Gibbs watched the other man move off to clean up the floor and with taking the garbage out.
"Nope!" Jackson stayed quiet.
