Chapter 14-Potions and Portal Jumping

Regina paced back and forth in front of the fire. "Where is he? It's been a month since Emma was taken from me. I need a way to get to Oz."

Ruby came in and shook her head. "He's not back. I worry he may never come back. Have you talked to Blue?"

"I've not wanted to, but I have to now. I need to find Emma." She looked at Mal who sent out a signal.

"Your majesty?" Blue asked, coming in. "Can we be a service to you?"

"First, how are things in the White Kingdom?"

"Snow has appointed Dave -as he prefers to be called now- the king and he is rebuilding their kingdom and doing a fine job. They all miss Emma, of course."

Regina sighed. "We all do. Please tell me, the portal jumper has not returned; can you help?"

Blue gave a smile. "Just now, one of my Faye is making a deal with a giant to get two beans so you can go and get her and bring her back."

"Giants. Why didn't I think of that?" Regina said, mad at herself.

"No offense, your majesty, but they probably wouldn't talk to you."

"You're right." Regina sighed. "I just…I hope it's not too late."

"It won't be, Gina." Henry said, knowing Regina forgot he was there. "Mommy loves you."

"No!" Emma yelled, anger filling her. "I don't love you or want to be with you!"

Zelena sighed and rolled her eyes. She had already taken away Emma's memories of Regina, Henry, and everyone else other than her father, and Emma still wouldn't try to have feelings for her. "Fine, then back to your punishment." She said, flicking her wrist before the blonde could stop her. She went to the window and saw the Swan shake its head next to the pond. "Why are you so stubborn? Just…love me." She whispered.

"You can't force love." Came a voice from the mirror. "You should have been taught that."

"Who are you?" Zelena asked, her eyes narrowed. "Oh, you're Regina's dragon friend, aren't you?"

"Yes. Zelena, she's coming to get Emma and nothing you do can stop her. Look, give it up. Emma will not love you the way you want to be loved."

"I only want Regina not to be loved." Zelena admitted.

"Emma will always love her, even if she doesn't remember. Zelena, they don't even know it, but they're true loves. The minute they kiss, Emma will remember."

"What's your point?"

"Just give her back. Regina isn't someone you want as an enemy."

"Pfft, she's harmless."

"The minute you believe that is the minute she wins. Zelena, she's your sister. More than that, Emma has a son who misses her very much. You know what it's like to grow up with out your parents, do you really want to do that to a child?"

"Just make him forget her. She's forgotten him, Regina, you, everything other than her father. I need her to be vulnerable."

"And how's that working out for you? She's stubborn, and even without her memories, she knows what she wants."

"It's too late. I can't just let her go."

"You can. Just let me take her. I'll tell Regina you cooperated, and this can be done."

Zelena laughed. "Like she'd forgive me."

"She may surprise you."

Zelena rolled her eyes and cut the magic off to the mirror. "Idiot."

Regina looked around as the smoke cleared. "It's so green." She said to Ruby. "Can you smell her?"

Ruby sniffed the air. "Yes, this way." The pair walked towards what looked like a palace and Ruby stopped. "I'm confused. I smell her but all I see is that swan."

Regina narrowed her eyes. "Emma?" When the Swan looked at her, Regina shook her head. "No. Are you serious?! Zelena! I will not stand for this!" She shouted, knowing if her sister was any kind of ruler, she'd be watching her. She used her magic and transformed Emma back to her human self. "Oh, my love." She said, walking up to her, but stopped when Emma stepped back.

"Who are you?" Emma asked, fear in her eyes as she looked around. "Where's Zelena?"

"Mal was right; she made you forget." Regina said with tears in her eyes.

Emma bit her lip. "Don't cry. I'm sorry I don't remember you."

"She will never remember you." Zelena said, appearing in her green plum of smoke. "She's mine."

"I'm not yours! I'm my own person!"

"Shut up." Zelena said, waving her hand and taking Emma's voice.

"What do you want for her?" Regina asked. "Or should I just kill you now?"

Zelena scoffed. "If you wanted to kill me, I'd already be dead."

"You're not wrong there." Regina said. "Zelena, I…I never knew about you. I always wanted a sibling and if I'd have known about you, I'd have reached out to you."

"I actually believe you." Zelena stated. "But it doesn't change what happened. You got everything and I got nothing."

"You rule this realm, don't you?"

Zelena looked down. "Not exactly. My days here are numbered." Zelena had known this, and she had hoped Emma would help her, but now people thought she was even worse.

"I'm taking Emma home. I'll leave lines of communication open and once I feel I can trust you, maybe you can come to our realm."

Zelena used her magic to give Emma her voice back and took her magic proof cuff. "I just wanted one thing that you had."

Regina bit her lip and gently touched Zelena's hand. "I wish you had come and talked to me instead of taking Emma, but I can get over that if you're being sincere."

Zelena gave a nod. "Thank you. I am sorry."

"I believe you." Regina said and took Emma's hand. However, Emma pulled back. "Emma? Darling, we're going home."

"I don't know you. I'm not your darling. I've been taken hostage and my memories are all gone. Do you know how fucked up that feels? Holes in my mind, things missing. I'm not going anywhere with you!" In a flash, she was gone in her own white smoke.

"What…Emma!" Regina said, feeling desperation fill her. "Where did she go?"

"I honestly don't know. She only knows the garden out here and the palace inside."

Ruby took a long sniff. "She's just along the tree line, but she's terrified. May I go to her?"

"Yes, of course." Regina said and watched her shift to her wolf before going towards Emma.

Zelena looked at Regina. "Why are you just letting me go?"

Regina gave a small shrug. "I was able to see your life. I'm sorry, but I needed to know who I was dealing with. I hate how you grew up and I'm sorry for it."

"It wasn't your fault."

"Doesn't seem to matter though, does it? It is Emma you took from me."

"I know. I honestly thought…but damn, she really loves you."

"I love her." Regina said, looking to where Ruby disappeared.

Emma sniffed and sat up straight when she saw the wolf. "I feel like I know you." She said and laughed at herself. "You've gone crazy, Emma. Talking to a wolf." The wolf came and sat by her, putting its head on Emma's lap. Emma pet it, closing her eyes as she let her fingers go through the fur. "Do I know you?" She asked softly.

The wolf made a noise and nodded its head. It stepped back and shifted and Ruby stood there. "It's okay, don't freak out."

Emma tilted her head. "I feel like I knew the wolf, but not you."

"I've known you since you were a kid, Emma. I know this is scary, but please come with me and Regina. She will make you remember." She held Emma's hand. "She loves you, Emma, and you love her."

"It's just…I don't remember anything. I hate this."

"I know, I get it. I really do, but please give us a chance."

"Fine." Emma stood and walked with Ruby back to the women. "I'll come with you."

Regina smiled. "Great. Emma, you won't regret this."

Emma looked at Zelena with a glare. "Don't ever come after me again."

"I won't. Look, I'm sorry. I honestly am very sorry."

"Give me my memories then."

"I can't. I would if I could, but I can't. I…I believe Regina can though. You just have to kiss her."

Emma's eyes bulged. "Kiss her? I don't know her."

"You do; you just don't remember."

Regina looked at Emma. "I don't want to force this, but your son will be extremely sad if you don't remember him."

"My…my son?" Emma's eyes filled with tears. "I have a son?"

"You do. You named him Henry." Regina said, reaching out to take Emma's hand.

Emma took it and looked into chocolate eyes. "You can make me remember?"

"So, they say." Regina said, knowing what all this meant if it did work. "I honestly hope so."

Before anymore could be said or done, a group of angry people could be seen coming. Ruby stiffened. "We need to go."

Regina nodded and threw the bean down, opening a portal. She looked at Zelena. "Come with if you want." She then looked at Emma. "Do you trust me?" She held out a hand.

"For some reason, I do." Emma said, taking her hand. They, with Ruby, jumped in the portal, but Zelena stayed back, deciding she didn't deserve to go with them just yet.
