Sofia Kaiser was the most beautiful girl in the institute of Durmstrang. With black hair as dark as the night sky and piercing black eyes she had looks capable of making even Veelas jealous.

Her magical ability to do magic effortlessly and without a wand had gotten her, her own share of enemies. But the beatings they got was enough to keep them down except one.

Viktor Krum was one such person who hated being bested and lusted after beauty. Viktor had on multiple occasions had left big hints that she would be lucky to have been bed by him but she had met many such people which had let Krum take multiple trips to the infirmary but he was too stubborn to give up.

Sofia didn't have friends, so it made the journey towards Hogwarts boring and lonely. It didn't really disturb her. Sofia focused back on the headmaster,"- As such I want you all on your best behaviour. Keep your head down and don't give any information about the school, practice the dark arts only on the ship. If caught doing outside you'll be expelled effective immediately."

Sofia knew all that and as such tuned the man out again as the headmaster had briefed them about it. She looked around until she met the eyes of another person. He was looking at her but unlike the other boys not staring at her body, he was looking at her face.

His face gave nothing away, his eyes were hollow and wore the Atticus house uniform like her. She tilted her head as the boy turned his attention towards the headmaster and before her thoughts could form she heard the headmaster say," Chase Hunt and Sofia Kaiser follow me."

She was slightly surprised as she stood up and followed behind the headmaster but before she did, she grabbed the hand approaching her and slammed her knee into the owner of said hand. She turned around as she followed behind the headmaster. She noticed that the boy, Chase looked amused.

The headmaster took them to the front of the ship as he turned to them as he said," Ms. Kaiser as you know that your unique situation has made it necessary for you to have a protection and hence I present you your two protections."

The man handed her a necklace and said," Your mother sent it and has told me to tell you that you are to wear it at all times. It'll protect against most of the Durmstrang schoolyard magic, alteration potions, oblivations and such."

Sofia nodded and he then gestured towards the boy and said," This, Ms. Kaiser is your second protection. Chase Hunt will be your guard for the duration at your stay at Hogwarts."

Sofia frowned lightly. She was greatly in-tune with her own magic and besides what did she needed protection from, school boys, perverts or something, she could deal with those people herself.

She knew she couldn't defy her mother and as such simply nodded to the headmaster. The headmaster nodded and said," Very well. Come back in 5 minutes."

With that the headmaster left and Sofia turned to the boy and said," Why are you here?"

The boy handed her a parchment.

I am hired to protect you from harm.

She looked at him incredulously and said," From what?"

The boy shrugged and the parchment in her hand felt weird and saw the writing was changing.

I am not at liberty to discuss.

She nodded slowly and narrowed her eyes," What can you tell me?"

The parchment was scribbled again and she looked at it.

Nothing useful.

She groaned in annoyance and said," Tell me what you can."

The parchment was scribbled for a few seconds and then she looked.

Your life is in danger.

She glared at him and the boy simply smirked and went inside. Sofia stood there for a minute and sighed. She didn't know much about him and if her mother had hired her then she was sure that he was skilled.

She sighed once more as she made her way inside.

23rd October 1994, 11:50AM, Hogwarts, Scotland

Albus Dumbledore stood in front of the Black lake of Hogwarts and behind him stood the school's history teacher, Dorea Potter, and the runes teacher, Lily Potter.

The Beauxbatons delegates had arrived fifteen minutes ago and now he awaited the Durmstrang delegates.

He looked behind him to see Dorea Potter looking at the lake with a stony expression and Lily Potter looked depressed but she hid it well.

He sighed sadly, it had been that way since 1986 when Harry Potter had run away. Even if he was sad that Harry had left he was more impressed with how he really did it and the havoc he left behind.

The boy had erased all information concerning his existence and the only people who knew he existed were the teachers at Hogwarts and the Potter, Black, Bones and Greengrass family. A 175 years old alliance came to an end because of the neglect shown towards a single child by the perfect couple as the Prophet put it.

He focused back on the black lake just as the Durmstrang ship came out of the lake. He swiftly took out his wand as he casted a shield to deflect the water as did the two women behind him. He smiled as Igor came down followed by 20 students but he gasped softly which was hidden by his beard because of one students, Sofia Kaiser.

He knew who she was, most politicians did and the rumours that she waited to follow in her father's footsteps made a ton lot of people interested in the girl. Curious as ever he activated his mage sight, a gift which allowed Dumbledore to look at a person's magical core or aura, as was the correct term.

What he saw nearly blinded him. It was too bright! It was only his mastery over the mind arts that stopped him from moving his head and from gasping out loud.

He had seen multiple auras over time but none came close to this. All auras, which he had seen, were a white ball waiting to be used. The fainter it was the greater the magical exhaustion.

He had seen many auras. His own, Grindelwald's and Voldemort's were bright but not to this degree. This was so bright that he was sure he would have been blinded if he had kept his mage sight. He wasn't sure who it belonged to.

He had much to think about but now wasn't the time. He had guests to greet.

He quickly shook his head as he greeted Igor," Welcome to Hogwarts, Igor."

Igor nodded back," Dumbledore."

He turned to the two teachers behind him," Why don't you show the way to the students. We will join you in a minute."

The two Potter ladies nodded as they showed the way to the students. He turned to Igor as he motioned him to walk with him. Igor was the first to speak," There is a certain issue that I wish to speak to you."

He nodded as Igor continued," It concerns Sofia Kaiser."

He kept his face neutral as Igor said," I assume you know it but she is the daughter of the Infamous and as such I have brought a guard with me, Chase Hunt. I can assure you that there will be as minimum damage to the student body and your school and also he wouldn't be participating."

He was conflicted on one hand he was sure that the boy was a just a teenager paid to keep the girl safe and on the other hand what little he knew about Anna Kaiser he was sure that the boy would be extraordinary. He sighed in resignation and nodded. Igor nodded back," Also he wouldn't be participating. He is just here for Ms. Kaiser's safety."

Dumbledore replied," I understand. Now I assume your students and you must be hungry. I shall lead you to the Great Hall."

Daphne looked around the room bored and searching for new allies for her family. So far only a French Veela girl had caught her attention. She sighed impatiently and looked at the table of the ravens.

Alexandra Black was talking to the first-gen wizard Terry shoe-or-something the boy she had a crush on since the beginning of the school year. She rolled her eyes as she realized that Alex had indeed made her first move.

It sometime astounded her that the daughter of Sirius Black, the most charming playboy's daughter was shy.

She turned her attention towards Susan Bones and had to keep herself from chuckling. She was making lovey-dovey eyes towards Cedric Diggory. She didn't blame her as he was quite easy on the eyes but in all honesty, he wasn't really her type.

Her eyes turned towards her left as she watched with amusement as Estella Malfoy told stories about how she had hunted a Pegasus, while there were some boasting she rather enjoyed the look on the face of Draco Malfoy which was of pure loathing and anger.

She turned towards the table of the lions with a sneer on her face as she caught the eye of Emily Potter who quickly turned her head to avoid her eyes. The relation among the Golden Group had been strained since their return to Hogwarts and while she hated to admit it, she missed hanging in the group.

She was slightly surprised as she saw the doors open revealing Dumbledore and the Durmstrang headmaster. Dumbledore reached the podium and said," Hogwarts and the delegates of Beauxbatons please welcome the delegates of Durmstrang!"

The door burst open with three students walking down she recognized two of them but not the third one.

The first one was Sofia Kaiser if her memory served her correctly the daughter of Anna Kaiser, a skilled healer and the Infamous. She nodded to herself adding the name to the list of potential allies.

The one in the middle was one she didn't recognize but his posture was lax and didn't scream power like the other students. She wasn't sure what to make of him as his hollow eyes didn't exactly assure her, if or not he was someone one could even trust. She marked if as an unknown.

The last was Viktor Krum which was a straight no. She sighed as she noticed everyone in the background doing showy moves. No one was actually worth noting except Aaron Muller whose father represented Germany in the ICW.

She groaned as she felt her stomach growl. She had never been more thankful for silencing charms.

She saw the students of Durmstrang making their way towards the Slytherin house table.

She silently tapped her feet on the floor and then she saw something.

The boy in the middle with the hollow eyes was looking at her with amusement why she didn't know. The food finally arrived and she was about to get the usual when her eyes caught the German food.

She licked her lips slightly as she pondered.

What food should she try?

He sat on the floor as he sneezed slightly. The weather was slightly cold and the near proximity to the water didn't help him. He had an hour to go before he could go acquire the item for which he had originally been approached. He really didn't want to get caught sneaking around the school especially by a teacher.

He had talked to his employee for the thing he had wanted and honestly he had been disappointed when he had gotten to learn about the object.

The enchanted chandelier hanging in the Great Hall. He snorted. While making a fake would be easy but it would leave him drained for two days and it was something he couldn't do right now.

His only chance was during the tasks so he had till November.

Another breeze passed as he slightly rubbed his shoulder. He didn't like the cold. But then he felt heat engulfing him.

"Just use the warming charm already!"

He turned his head to his shoulder amused by the antics of his friend.

She was barely the size of his ring finger but her attire of a princess and the wings made her cute rather than the deadly force she was.

Ilene was a fairy and according to wizard standard powerful and old, being 478 years old. But by fairy standard she was average, young and 'without much potential' as her parents had said.

The multiple times she had beaten the crap out of his enemies and the few times they sparred had always said otherwise.

He spoke up," Good to see you too, Ilene."

His voice was soft and barely above a whisper. He didn't like to speak but the few times he did it was usually for dramatic effect or it was necessary.

Ilene took a perch on his head as she spoke," I can make the fake chandelier and power it up and before we leave, you can power it up. I'll switch it when I can."

He rolled his eyes and leaned on the wall. Ilene was usually the one who did the planning and he was the one to carry it out with Reggie's help to make it intimidating.

"Or…"

He heard Ilene speak again and he sighed as he knew what she was going to say," We can go now and switch it and you can let Reggie and me take care of Ms. Kaiser."

Chase sighed," You know I can't do that."

Ilene rolled her eyes," Yeah, yeah can't jeopardize a mission for another. Jeez, take a risk sometime. You are being a guard for her for what mercenaries, schoolyard bullies and what not. Am I right or am I right?"

He sighed as he muttered to her," Nightmares."

She flew away from his head and flew right in front of his face with an alarmed and dreadful look," Were my ears ringing?"

He shook his head as the fairy let out a squeak, something he hadn't seen her do which would have made him chuckle if the situation was different. But all he could do was give her a grave look and Ilene came slightly closer to him and she spoke after a deep breath," Harry, you know-"

He hissed at the forsaken name as Ilene rectified," Harrison you know that these monsters can actually kill you. They have been chasing you for more than 4 years and we were never able to defeat them. Only ever fought them to a standstill. I don't think we can still do that if they come in numbers."

He finally let out a laugh, soft and quiet, and Ilene looked at him with incredulity and he said," Hogwarts was one of the fewest places where I used to go. I know every single inch of it. From the dungeons to the sky pillars. There is nothing which can stop me here. And all you have to do are these tasks."

He handed her a conjured parchment and smirked as recognition dawned on Ilene and she said," All will be ready by Samhain."

She started to fly towards the majestic castle but turned and asked with uncertainty," What happens if the plan fails?"

He sighed as he said," My dear Ilene…"

He stood up as he threw a dagger behind him and saw a man falling. He walked towards him as he took out his silenced pistol and shot him. With a wave of his hand the blood and the body both disappeared.

He turned around and said," My plan never fails."

Lily Potter stood in front of the mirror which showed many why James Potter was attracted to her. She had a body which many would be jealous of and her flaming hair with her vibrant green eyes made her an attractive woman.

She knew it wasn't real. Her body was created with the best of glamour charms that her magic allowed. She grabbed her wand as she pointed the wand to her and removed it. She did it once more and finally muttered," Finite Incantatem."

The glamour lifted showing her true self. Her figure was replaced with fat, her flaming red hair was dull and her eyes had lost their spark and gained dark spots. No one except James had seen her this way. She picked up the picture kept in front of her.

The picture consisted of her holding a female baby trying to grab her hair and next to her stood her husband holding another baby his eyes scrunched in concentration as he catches a snitch.

She chokes out a weak chuckle as she holds the photo close to her as she lays on her bed to go to sleep.

Mount Everest, 23rd March 1614

A man lays on the ground breathing very slowly. The climb had taken him a lot of time but he finally was here. He grabbed his wand and casted new warming charm on him and sighed in relief. He finally pointed his wand to the sky as he muttered," Morsmordre."

The green light enters the sky bringing in his family symbol to life. A skull was formed as three snakes came out of it. The first goes straight downwards and the other two coils around it.

The man grins in relief and exhaustion as a temple materializes from the ground he stood on. He made his way towards the temple and grabs the torch outside and ignites it silently.

He entered the temple and he gasps as he fell down to the floor. He had taken the warning lightly but it hurt very-very badly when the family magic leaves a person and his magical level was just that above of that a squib. It was because of that reason alone that he had to climb this place like a filthy Muggle.

He stood up as he took his torch and journeys ahead toward the main room. It took him a while as he was fascinated by the runes and finally twenty minutes later he found his way inside the main chamber.

In front of him was a wall with multiple coloured animals both mundane and magical. The middle was engraved with four different words.

Desire Fear Hatred Empathy

He put the torch in the handle behind him. All the torches in the room lit up.

He grabs his slightly trembling hand as he pushes it through the blade and gives a small yell of pain.

He waits a few minutes and he wasn't disappointed with the results.

The animal of Wolf, which lights up a winter white colour, the Pegasus, it lights up a faint black, and the word Fear lights up with a blood red colour.

He gives a scream of pain and pleasure as he felt a huge amount of magic enter his body. His veins felt like fire his eyes had gained a feral look and his back was filled with pain. He lets loose another scream and loses consciousness.

It was because of this act that belief that the Gaunt family were the only descendant of Salazar Slytherin was born.

The man named as Reyes Slytherin died and from the ashes was born Darius Evans.
