Chapter 13: Good Will Hunter
Eternal Sailor Moon flew up and stared down at the fallen Inner Senshi. "It's time to stop playing. This time I won't let any of you live. It'll be a lot of fun to hear your screams as I kill you one by one..." Her voice had been dropping down as she spoke, and now it was a deep, booming growl. "Bow before your Queen, or die standing. Your choice."
"Big words, but you can't back them!" Mars snapped.
"So I can't... Moon Eternal Beam!" she missed her aim on purpose, the shock forcing the Senshi to fall on their backs. "Oh don't worry, you all will be dead in a few minutes." she smirked.
"You are a fool!" Venus snapped as she stood up.
"What did you say?" Moon glared at the blonde Senshi.
"You may be the most powerful of us, but you still can be defeated!" Venus retorted. "Let me show you! Holy Sword!" she summoned the Sword of the Silver Crystal. "Light Sword Slash!" she sliced the air in front of her, causing a crescent-shaped blast to shoot forward towards Eternal Sailor Moon.
Moon stood up, badly bruised, and glared at Venus, who was smiling. "That hurt," she growled furiously. "But if that's all you got, then you won't be able to win this battle. One way or another, I'll have your powers. Moon Silver Crystal Wave!"
As the energy beam clashed against the Holy Sword, Jupiter and Mars could see that it was obvious there was a lot more power in Moon's one.
"Damn..." Mars cursed as she tried to get up.
"We have to help..." Jupiter was struggling to get back on her feet.
Moon smiled inwardly as she felt Venus' defense weakening. Soon, it'll be all over and the Inner Senshi's powers will be all hers. "What..." she frowned when three bright sparks of light descended from the sky, totally canceling her attack. "Is happening? Armor?" she echoed when the light died down to reveal the three Inner Senshi decked in their Holy Robes.
"Fire Goddess Robe!" Mars poised in her armor, brandishing her Octanis Sword.
"Thunder Goddess Robe!" Jupiter readied for battle, wielding the Aos Sword.
"Light Goddess Robe!" the Holy Sword was replaced by Venus' Hesperios Sword. "Let's try this again. Light Sword Slash!"
"Hellfire Strike" a wave of flames shot out from Mars' sword.
"Electric Slash!" Jupiter swung her sword to the side, channeling lightning through it and fired the charged up electricity at the Moon Senshi.
"That was... impressive..." Moon muttered, battered by the combined element attacks. "You may have won this fight, but I won't stop until I claim your powers for myself!" she swore and teleported out.
"So, now what?" Jupiter looked at Venus, the three Senshi having dematerialized their Holy Robes.
"We find the guys." Venus answered. "I think Ami had the right idea when she left; Usagi has betrayed us, and I have a feeling it's the Mau cats who instigated this."
"Right." Mars nodded.
"Sailor Teleport!" the three Senshi vanished in a pillar of light.
"Do you think Ami would mind if we just drop in like this?" Rei asked, once the three girls teleported to Blue Bay Harbor.
"We'll worry about that later." Minako waved the priestess' concerns aside.
"Quitting time!" Blake grinned, turning the sign on Storm Chargers door to 'Closed'. "So we riding?"
"Can't bro." Hunter sighed. "I've got to meet Charlie."
"Yeah, your other younger brother." Blake teased.
"There are more of you guys?" Dustin gaped.
"Not that kind of brother." Hunter corrected. "I know what it's like to be without a father, so I volunteer to help out kids after school, you know?"
"Hey!" Shane burst into the shop. "Big Air's having a contest for the best sports action video."
"Let's see." Tori took the magazine from Shane. "The best one minute video will be played on national Television during the Action Games."
"Sweet! I'm so gonna win." Dustin whooped.
"Uh, don't you mean you're so gonna come in second?" Shane prompted.
"No, I mean I'm gonna win." Dustin corrected before realizing what Shane was trying to imply. "Oh I get it you're calling me out."
"I don't know how any of you are gonna win without a video camera." Tori reminded.
"What about Dustin's?" Shane asked.
"Well if I remember correctly, you taped it to your helmet..." Tori turned to Dustin. "Right before you ran into that big oak tree."
"Yeah, but I've got a close shot." Dustin chuckled. "It's all like... rattle... rattle, and ah and boom! There's nothing..."
"Well uh, Cam's got a camera." Blake pointed out.
"Oh..." Shane realized and dashed out.
"No, no, no, no!" Dustin chased after Shane. Tori just sighed and followed her teammates out.
"Hey, you must be Charlie!" Hunter turned to see the mother and son pair enter the shop after Blake walked out.
"Cam, can I borrow your video camera?" Shane asked, struggling with Blake as the four Rangers entered Ninja Ops.
"Dude, I called it in the car!" Dustin protested.
"Yes he did, man, I heard it."Blake nodded. "After that it's all mine."
"Get real." Tori muttered.
"Hold it." Cam stopped the arguing Rangers. "Wait a minute. No one's calling anything until I know what's up."
"Check out page five." Shane handed the magazine over.
""Okay I'll do it." Cam nodded after reading the article. "But I've got conditions. One, nobody touches my camera but me or Ami. I saw the results of your last outing 'when good riders go bad'." he pointed to Dustin and air-quoted. "And two, everyone gets equal time on their video. I can't stand all of this begging."
"Yes, Dustin?" Ami looked at Earth Ranger who had risen his hand.
"Can I go to the bathroom?" Dustin asked.
"No." Ami put her foot down.
"Do you like Motocross?" Hunter asked as he walked Charlie home.
"Boring." Charlie said.
"Basketball?"
"No."
"Hockey?" Hunter pressed.
"No."
"Tennis?" Hunter continued.
"No."
"How about pizza?" Hunter was getting desperate. "Everybody loves Pizza right?"
"I hate pizza." Charlie replied."Pizza gives me hives. My mom won't let me eat it.
"Is there anything you wanna do?" Hunter wondered.
"Uh, play this new game I just got, if that's alright with you." Charlie answered.
"Hey I love games." Hunter remarked.
"Single player only." Charlie shot back. "Look, I know what you're trying to do and you don't have to. I've gone this long without a dad and I really don't need one now. Mom, I'm home!" he ran into the house.
"Come on already." Tori whined, as Shane continued his skateboard moves with Cam on the side videotaping.
"One more!" Cam encouraged and Shane slid to the ground. "That was great." he shut the camcorder. "I think I've got some good shots."
"Yeah?" Shane challenged. "Better than what you got from Blake and Dustin? Okay, one more try, man."
"Can we go now?" Tori pleaded. "I've gotta get in the water before the swell dies down."
"We haven't been here long." Shane objected. "What about equal time?"
"Saved by the bell." Cam rolled his eyes when his communicator sounded.
"Kelzaks..." Aiko's fuzzy voice sounded over the communicator. "All over the city..."
"Something's obviously wrong with Aiko." Cam turned to Ami, "We'll check it out and call Hunter."
"We'll take the Kelzaks." Shane nodded and the five of them ran off.
"Two of them, that's it?" Dustin echoed, seeing two of the minions stretching. "I can handle this one by myself." he bragged and jogged down the staircase when suddenly four more Kelzaks showed up and they kept growing in numbers.
"Is it Kelzak migration season or what?" Blake wondered when the Rangers found themselves surrounded by a horde of Kelzaks.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm feeling a bit outnumbered." Shane admitted, the group finding themselves cornered by the Kelzak army.
"This is just getting better." Dustin muttered.
"I think it's time to morph." Tori told the others.
"What's the deal?" Dustin exclaimed as he fought.
"There are so many!" Tori shouted, walking on their shoulders. "I can't even count that high!"
"But you're really good at math." Dustin pointed out.
"Where'd they all come from?" Tori wondered.
"Man, where did they go?" Shane looked around in mid-slash when the Kelzaks suddenly vanished. "Guys? What's up with that?"
"As long as they're gone dude, don't ask any questions." Dustin shrugged.
"Hey Cam." Blake spoke into his morpher. "Did you call Hunter?"
"There's been a glitch in the communication system." Aiko responded in an almost human voice. "I couldn't give Hunter the alert. There's something weird going on."
"I don't know... something's missing." Ami frowned.
"Like I've seen it all before." Tori nodded.
"I trust, as you are spending time on this project that the operating system has returned to normal." Sensei hopped onto the keyboard.
"It's all cleared, Grandpa." Aiko materialized beside them.
"Grandpa?" Tori echoed in amusement. "How...?" she blinked when she saw the plain dark blue dress the A.I had on.
"For what she told me, she likes this dress better than her other clothes." Ami grinned.
"That's right. Don't you like it, Dad?" Aiko turned to Cam.
"I do." Cam, too, was astonished. "Aiko, do you know how it happened? When did you start..."
"You mean, how I became sentient?" Aiko asked. "It was yesterday, after the Kelzak troops disappeared."
"You didn't tell us anything." Ami scolded, slightly upset.
"I wanted to surprise you," Aiko replied with a smile.
Cam laughed. "I really don't know how it happened, but..."
"Dad?" Aiko said as Cam fell silent.
"I wish I could hug you." Cam sighed.
Ami smiled then took out her computer.
"Mom?" Aiko asked.
Ami frowned as she started typing. "Don't worry, I'm just checking. Maybe I can find out what caused you to..." She stopped typing as some number appeared on the screen. "My crystal."
Cam's eyes widened. "The Safiastra? How?"
"I... don't know. But Aiko's been 'exposed' to it for quite a while..."
"I just have a feeling that the judges are gonna want something totally out there." Tori turned back to the computer.
That's totally out there." Aiko nodded to the screen as a drum monster showed up.
"Woah, we better go." Tori noted.
"I'll call the others." Aiko added.
"I'm gonna rock this town til it drops! Nobody's gonna escape my back beat!" the monster growled, when he was slashed by a flurry of electric strikes. "I'm getting rocked in the middle of this music block."
"Who is this radio head?" Blake wondered.
"You're going down, cos DJ Drummer is coming at you with 5000 watts of p-p-p-power!" the drummer monster sent a wave of electricity at the Thunder Rangers.
Surprise!" the Wind Rangers dashed in, slashing at the monster, only to be electrocuted by the monster.
"Hey where'd he..." Dustin started when the monster disappeared.
"He just vanished!" even Tori was surprised. "So weird."
"Let me know when you figure it out." Hunter informed the others."I, uh, gotta be somewhere."
"Dad, have you ever considered a career in Cinematography?" Aiko joked.
"I don't know dude." Dustin shook his head. "It's just not... blowing me away."
"Yeah, yeah but... check out this cool power-slide." Blake chuckled.
"Well, at least you got one killer shot." Dustin pointed out.
"Yeah, but it takes more than one shot to make a video." Blake fired back.
"Dad, can I blast them?" Aiko looked pleadingly at Cam.
"Aiko..." Ami sighed. "Despite all the verbal jabs we keep on throwing at each other, we're all friends."
"... I see," Aiko nodded.
"So?" Shane asked, entering Ninja Ops. "How'd your tapes turn out? Bout as good as mine?"
"All my best moves are in the first ten seconds." Tori sighed.
"Let me get this straight, after all the hard work from yours truly, no one's happy?" Cam echoed.
"We're not saying it's your fault, I mean its just we didn't think it would be so hard to make a rocking video." Dustin explained.
"Rangers, this is not new territory." Sensei reminded. "Have you not learned by now the value of working as one?"
"Grandpa, can I take over from here?" Aiko asked as she manifested. "You guys ever hear the term editing?" the A.I looked at the gathered Rangers. "Dad, we have a problem." she tuned to the beeping console when an arguing Marah and Kapri came up on screen.
"They've got Lothor's P.A.M!" Tori blinked as the Drum monster appeared again.
"Woah that is freaky." Dustin added.
"Get the bikes." Cam instructed. "I'll meet you there."
"D.J drummer is back on the air baby!" the monster whooped.
"You've just been canceled!" the morphed Cam jumped in the battlefield.
"Bring it!" the monster growled and Cam leapt straight at him, saber drawn and started slashing. The monster then blasted him back when he was at pointblank range.
"We've got you." Hunter and Blake caught Cam before he fell off.
"Crimson Blaster!" Hunter fired his weapon.
Gripping the monster with his Navy Antler, Blake tossed the drummer over his shoulder.
"Thunder Staff, full power!" Hunter charged up his weapon.
"Kelzaks!" the monster summoned the Kelzaks troops when the Wind Rangers drove in on their Tsunami Cycles.
"Hunter, Blake, call it!" Cam shouted as he helped fight off the Kelzaks.
"You got it!" both Thunder Rangers formed their Thunder Blaster. "Thunder Blaster! Fire!"
"The Ninja Zords and Thunder Zords are on their way." Aiko informed the moment the Scroll of Empowerment appeared. "Dad, I'm sending you the Sting Blaster." she added after both Megazords took a beating.
"Thanks, Aiko." Cam nodded and passed the Power Disc over to Hunter.
With two rapid slashes from the Sting Blaster, the Thunder Megazord ended the fight with the laser weapon.
