"A tyrant god huh…?" Erza thought out loud as she and the others were walking out from the alleyway Henry was in.
"You think that what Hahlos meant before as "something serious?"" Gray asked.
"It makes sense." Erza answered, not looking at Gray. "He did go through such lengths to take Wendy."
"Although to think...she is being forced to heal a god with laws this strict and awful…" Lucy mumbled, looking down. "I can't even imagine what she's going through if she's aware." Suddenly after saying that, Natsu stepped by Lucy and put a hand on her shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile.
"NAAAATSUUU!" A high pitched voice was heard nearby which was recognized instantly by Natsu. He bursted out the alleyway pushing everyone and was met with his feline friend.
"Happy! There you are, buddy!" burst Natsu, giving him a big hug.
"Natsuuuu~!" Happy cried. "I never want to separate from you again! All the other dragon slayers I was stuck with aren't nearly as cool as you!"
Happy then felt three shadows loom over him, however he decided to ignore it.
"Looks like you're done back there." Jellal smiled. "I had a lucky encounter with these guys while you were gone." He then pointed at Gajeel, Sting, Rogue and Carla.
"Guys!" Lucy beamed.
"Carla! You're okay!" Chelia also beamed, hugging Carla.
"How did you find us?" Erza asked. Gajeel then smirked, pointing at Natsu "Salamander here was yelling out like a fool. Be glad we all have sensitive hearing, gee hee."
"Ha! What do you know!" Natsu laughed proudly. "Me calling for them was a good idea!"
"It still costed you and me a ticket…" Jellal mumbled annoyingly.
"Anyway…" Carla started. "It would be wise to share the intel we both obtained so far."
"Indeed, we actually have a place we can discuss." Erza agreed. She then pointed towards the direction of the inn they were staying at.
"So what should we do about these?" Jellal asked, pulling out his ticket.
"Right…" Erza sighed before looking at Sting. "Do you have any blue coins?"
"O-oh! Yeah I actually do!" Sting answered. "I have 200 here I think."
"Perfect, we need all of them to pay off these tickets we received."
"Wait what?"
"What kind of trouble did you get into?" Rogue pinched his nose in annoyance.
"We'll discuss that later, let's go." Erza ordered.
"I-I don't get it!" Wendy exclaimed. "Is there any other way?"
"Nope." Arya bluntly responded, not looking at Wendy.
"B-but, someone like him shouldn't be the ruler! Can't you find someone else?!"
"Nope."
"B-b-but…"
Arya sighs. "Face it kid, this is reality. Things aren't always perfect."
Wendy sat silently, looking at her unfinished food but not exactly paying attention to it. She sighs before leaving her chair.
"...Thank you for the meal." She then walked out the room.
Arya then glanced at the direction Wendy left from and sighed.
Wendy walked down the large open hallway, looking down. She wasn't sure what to think about what she was just told. She wasn't sure whether the task she was given was the right thing or not. If she brought Izanagi back then this place would go back to being ruled by a tyrant. But if she didn't then this whole place would fall down, a lot of people would be hurt. But there's a lot of strong wizards down below! Maybe they can stop the rubble from crushing them! And the angels can fly so they wouldn't be hurt! Yeah!
Suddenly she felt her arm being grabbed, she bolted her head up being snapped out of her trance and was met with Sync.
"Hi there!" She smiled. "Why're you so glum?"
"O-oh!" Wendy shook her head. "Don't worry about it…"
"Hmm...okay! Come, come! I wanna take you somewhere!" Sync tugged on Wendy's arm playfully pointing in the direction she wanted to go. Wendy stumbled a bit but started to follow Sync as she still held her arm. Once they turned some corners Sync suddenly came to a stop as someone was blocking the way.
"Hm?" A thin man with glasses turned around as he shut the door from the room he was in and looked at the girls.
"Oh, hi Starky!" Sync waved. Stark groaned in annoyance and rolled his eyes. He then met his eyes with Wendy's. They looked at each other for a moment.
"Tch." Stark opened the door and went back into the room he was just in. Wendy tilted her head in confusion before Sync giggled at her.
"Don't worry! He's shy and not much of a talker, now let's go!" Sync continued to drag Wendy along until they reached what appeared to be the courtyard. Wendy looked in awe as the bushes and flowers bloomed. There was a large fountain in the middle that had three floors of bowls water came spewing out of.
"Pretty huh! This is my favorite place to go!" Sync beamed before flying on top of the fountain and balancing on it.
"Y-yeah, it really is!" Wendy tried to hide her negative thoughts and worry. She then thought of an idea. "Sync, was it?"
"Mhm!" She said, currently balancing on the fountain with her head.
"What do you think of this place? The kingdom and your god?" Wendy asked.
"I love it here!" Sync beamed, hopping off the fountain and sticking the landing. "Everything is so nice! No crime, bad guys or mayhem! Our god may have strict laws but because of those laws Exahelm is like this!" She then waved her arms around showing the sky dragon the beauty of the area they were in.
"Do you think your ruler's methods are too harsh?" Wendy interrogated, trying to learn more.
"Sure, I guess." Sync said. "But everything is already so peaceful and perfect! Even the citizens love it here!"
Suddenly Wendy's thoughts went back to uncertainty. Sure this god is a tyrant but according to Sync who lives here everything is okay. Plus she recalled the excitement the citizens here had after the big announcement Hahlos made. It was so much to think and stress about. She wished her friends were here to help her think this out.
"Oh!" Sync jumped, scaring Wendy out of her trance. "Looks like my break is up!" Sync said to herself, looking at the clock near the roof.
"Break? What're you supposed to be doing?" Wendy pondered.
Sync giggled before her giant scythe appeared. She lifted it effortlessly and started to trace something on the ground. Wendy looked wide eyed by how large her weapon was.
"I'm tasked to watch over some naughty folk!" Sync started before she finished her writing and a white orb popped out of the writing and grew bug like wings.
"N-naughty?" Wendy inquired. "I thought naughty folk were punished immediately?"
"Well the thing is. They're not from around here…" Sync rambled, not paying full attention as she poked around on the white orb. "They got this weird dragonfly-like symbol on their body."
"Dragonfly symbol?" Wendy thought to herself. "Wait, it can't…."
"They're also human! Although they're wearing disguises to make them look like angels, very naughty!"
"Human, dragonfly symbol…" Wendy started to put the pieces together. Then suddenly it came together. Her eyes grew as wide as dinner plates.
"Come on, I gotta take you to someone while I work." Sync gestured to Wendy before the white orb flew off.
"My friends...are they here?!" Wendy was too distracted by her thoughts. She was starting to overcome with happiness. Tears started forming from her eyes. "They're here!" She thought.
"Sync! What do you think you're doing?!" The door slammed open which snapped Wendy out of her thoughts again. What appeared was Stark from before, looking very angry.
"Starky? What's wrong?" Sync questioned, looking worried.
"Ugh, you damn fool!" Stark rubbed his face in pure annoyance. "Children are so incompetent!" He started to march over towards Wendy. He then grabbed one of her twintails tightly and started to tug on it.
"Agh! What're you-!" Wendy yelped in pain, getting a hold on Stark's harsh grip.
"What did I do wrong…?" Sync looked down sadly in confusion.
"You do realize you told her about the intruders right?!" Stark scolded.
"I wasn't supposed to tell her that?"
"No! Good grief!" Stark tugged on Wendy's twintail a little harder. He then met his eyes with hers. "Listen you, I hope you're not thinking of leaving this place to try and reunite with those intruders!"
"L-let go!" Wendy struggled.
"They're *not* coming to this castle! They're just going to have to wait until the revival process is over. Capice?!" He growled.
"I said...let go!" Wendy growled back before a large burst of wind came out of her, knocking Stark back. However a chunk of her hair was ripped off in the process. Stark landed by a wall while Sync was pushed back a little.
"Ugh…" Stark got up, rubbing his head before throwing the chunk of hair on the grass. "Why you!"
"That's enough! All of you!" A deep voice boomed as Hahlos appeared between Stark and Wendy.
"Big bro!" Sync yelled out. Hahlos then scanned the situation and saw the chunk of hair on the ground. He picked it up before sternly looking at Stark.
"You shouldn't treat the Sky Maiden like that, Stark."
"Tch!" Stark looked away before storming off. Before he left he glared at Wendy one last time. "It makes me sick that a human is treated as a savior, a human child no less!" He then slammed the door.
Hahlos sighs heavily before looking at both Sync and Wendy. "Are you two all right? I apologize for not being here sooner."
"Y-yeah…" Sync said. "D-did I do something bad?"
Hahlos gave her a warm smile. "No Sync, you were only doing what you were tasked to do. Great work."
Sync looked up teary eyed but smiled at Hahlos. He then looked at Wendy who was feeling the missing part of her hair, he walked over and handed her the hair chunk gently. "I'm terribly sorry about this, how about I take you to your room. I think a good rest is needed." He suggested.
Wendy looked up at the tall angel. "My friends...can I see them?"
Hahlos gave a depressive sigh "I'm sorry but we can't afford a large crowd in here, and bringing you out to the town will gain too much attention. We're keeping a watch on them so they don't end up in trouble or in an accident." He then saw Wendy look down sadly. He gave her a smile and gently grabbed her chin as they looked at each other again. "Do not worry, after all of this you can see them again. I promise."
Wendy felt a lot of comfort from his tone of voice, she smiled back before the two started to head back. Hahlos glanced at Sync before leaving. "Keep up the great work, Sync." She then saluted in response.
Wendy sat on her bed, looking down on her hair chunk.
"I understand a lot has happened. I deeply apologize if you feel overwhelmed." Hahlos said.
"...N-no, it's okay!" Wendy looked up and smiled. "Honestly I'm happy!"
"You're happy you lost your hair?"
"No no!" Wendy giggled. "My friends! They came for me!"
Hahlos chuckled. "You care for each other deeply I see?"
"Mm! I didn't think they were going to be able to get up here but Fairy Tail always finds a way!" Wendy looked down at her hair again then hugged it.
"It's wonderful to hear how much care each other humans have." Hahlos got up and patted Wendy's head. "It's also nice to see you in this much of a good mood."
"I can't wait to see them again!" Wendy beamed.
"Of course, not too long now." He reassured her before turning back towards the door. "Now pardon me, I have to check up on the master now." He walked over and opened the door. "Get some rest now, we start first thing tomorrow." He smiled before closing the door, leaving the room.
Wendy then plopped her back on the bed feeling very giddy and excited to reunite with the others. All she had to do was use her sky dragon slayer powers on their God. The only thing she cared about was getting this over with to be with her friends again.
"What did you call us for? You never do that!" Argus pondered, leaning back on his chair drinking some beer.
"Indeed, I thought of not coming but you seem very frantic, Stark." Arya added, smoking from her pipe.
"Nevermind that!" Stark started. "I called you two because we may be in trouble!"
"Oh? The way you panic like that is pretty entertaining…" Arya chuckled.
"Zip it, women!" Stark scolded. "Look, the small human found out about the intruders. And Hahlos is being too soft with her!"
"Well yeah, isn't she supposed to be our savior?" Argus asked.
"That's not the damn point!" Stark slammed a fist on the table. "If she finds out her purpose, then this whole situation could be ruined!"
"What? You mean her being Izanagi's vessel?" Arya questioned.
"Yes! Hahlos is trying to reassure her that "everything will be hunky doory" but his softness will run out of use eventually." Stark mockingly impersonated Hahlos.
"So what idea do you have in mind eh?" Argus asked before letting out a gurgle.
Stark then chuckled before adjusting his glasses. "It's simple…"
Wendy was once again wandering in a black void. She looked around but nothing but emptiness was found. After a while she saw a familiar individual. She grew wide eyed as she identified him as the person from her previous dream.
"Y-you again!" Wendy got in a fighting stance.
"Do you understand your fate yet?" He boomed, his long pink hair brushing through the wind.
"My fate?" She asked.
"You will be a part of me, my vessel." He started to walk towards Wendy.
"Stay back! Roar of the Sky Dragon!" She let out an attack, however it was absorbed by the man instantly.
"If you do not comply, everyone you know will die." He continued to walk towards Wendy. She started to take steps back from him.
"Don't underestimate Fairy Tail! Who are you anyways!?"
"Don't you understand?" He then dashes towards Wendy and grabs her by the neck, lifting her up. "Miracles won't happen. You cannot escape this fate!"
"L-let me g-go!" She struggled.
"Soon you will find out how hopeless you truly are." He then used his other hand and prepared to strike her heart. Right before he did Wendy once again shot up again hearing a loud knock on her door.
Wendy tried to regain her composure as she saw that it was almost sunset. She saw the door open and was met with Stark.
"Sorry for waking you up, "young hero." But there is something I want to talk to you about." Stark gave a devilish grin.
