Hello reader! This story is about how Yoshi and Birdo first met. It is intended to be a very sweet and cute story about the couple, while also answering any questions like the transgender stuff or why Birdo was working for Wart. I will include religion so if you don't like that please don't read it. This is NOT intended in any way whatsoever to make transgender people feel uncomfor

11. Chapter 11 Right before the terror

Chapter 11 Right before the terror.

(Yoshi tries to go to sleep for 30 minutes. Then sits up in his bed.)

Yoshi: "It just not right for Birdo to sleep on floor."

(Yoshi looks at Birdo)

Yoshi: "No. I gonna try to get her in bed."

(Yoshi gets out of bed and puts his arms under Birdo, then desperately tries to pick her up..)

Yoshi: "GRRRRRRRR! COME ON! If only I stronger! GRRAAAAA!"

(Yoshi finally picked her up. But when he tried to put her on the bed he dropped her hard onto the bed waking her up.)

Yoshi: "Oops..."

Birdo: "Yoshi?... I said I didn-... wanna... *yawn* sleep on... the...zzzzz"

Yoshi: "*phew* Glad I not hurt her."

(Yoshi gets back into bed next to Birdo and is finally able to sleep. Later that night Yoshi wakes up to go to the bathroom.)

Yoshi: "My hand feels... heavy."

(Birdo grabbed his hand in her sleep. Yoshi jerked it away.)

Yoshi: "Did I do that?... Wait, Birdo was sleep talking earlier. Maybe Birdo grabbed my hand."

(Yoshi went to the bathroom and came back. When he got back in bed he noticed Birdo had a little bit of spit around her mouth.)

Yoshi: "Maybe that why she not wanna sleep in bed. That's easy to fix though."

(Yoshi got up and grabbed a rag to put under Birdo's mouth.)

Yoshi: "Mmmhmmm! That better... Birdo was holding my hand... Does she like me? She not want me to know she homeless and every time I turn around she embarrassed. OOOH I HOPE SHE DOES!"

(Birdo talking in her sleep.)

Birdo: "HAHA you're soaked Yoshi! I beat you again!"

(Birdo squeezes the blanket and lets it go. squeezes and lets go. repeatedly.)

Yoshi: "Now that a good dream. Unlike Wart... That's a really cute dream too. Her hands are so cute. Those cheeks. WHAT AM I THINKING!? I not really know what I'm thinking. Penny kept talking about her tail."

(Yoshi looks at Birdo's tail.)

Yoshi: "I still don't get it. I not feel anything about tail. But those cheeks though. And especially the round belly. I wanna tickle her again!"

Birdo: "You never squirted me ONCE! I the water gun master! HAHA!"

Yoshi: "OOOOOH THAT SOUNDED SO CUTE! But tail I not get anything from. Nothing. I don't get what's with Penny telling me about her tail being hot."

(Yoshi covered up and went to sleep. Birdo got up later to use the bathroom as well.)

Birdo: "What's this rag? Oh no. It's wet. My mouth wet. UGH! I drooled again! Wait. My hand is."

(Birdo pulls her hand out realizing she grabbed his hand for the second time.)

Birdo: "NOOO! ME THOUGHT THAT WAS A WATER GUN! Yoshi obviously noticed because he put this rag under my mouth. Hope he's not too mad."

(Birdo went to the bathroom and came back.)

Birdo: "I gonna sleep facing away from Yoshi to be sure I don't accidentally grab his hand."

(Birdo slept facing away from Yoshi. But in the morning there was a *strange, PINK* bolt of lightning which woke Yoshi up. It knocked over a tree)

Yoshi: *heavy breathing* "WH-WHAT TH-THAT!"

(Birdo was still asleep.)

Yoshi: "Wow! My girl- NO SHE NOT GIRLFRIEND YET! I meant my FRIEND NOT GIRLFRIEND is a hard sleeper. I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT HER! Why is she lying away from me? Did I do something in my sleep too? Does she not want to sleep with me? Does Birdo like me? I gotta find out somehow... Birdo is still asleep. I gonna go outside and get one of mama's flowers. I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER TO KNOW!"

(Yoshi gets up and goes outside to see the tree that fell over)

Yoshi: "Another one? That's strange... There's no clouds in the sky. How'd this happen? Oh well. I can't focus on that I GOTTA GET THE FLOWER!"

(Yoshi picked a white flower with a-lot of petals.)

Yoshi: "OK. Phew... No body around" (Yoshi looks around for anyone.) "Birdo won't see. she still asleep. *sigh* OK. How does this go? Just back and forth right? She loves me *plucks a petal* She loves me not *plucks a petal* She loves me *plucks a petal* She loves me not *Plucks petal*"

(While Yoshi is wasting his time on superstitious fortune telling Birdo wakes up.)

Birdo: "OK. The morning went ok. Yoshi didn't wake me up yelling. Where is he?"

(Birdo finds Jewel who is talking with Happy in the kitchen.)

Birdo: "Jewel? Where Yoshi?"

Jewel: "He's outside looking at the tree."

Happy: "So strange. The storm went away at 3AM and the tree fell in the morning. Where did that lightning come from?"

Jewel: "Hey Birdo, me and Happy were discussing you and Yoshi and decided we'd let y'all go to a restaurant later."

Birdo: "Really? Thanks Jewel!"

Happy: "And afterwards we'll see if we can set something up with the orphanage. We don't exactly have the money for you, but we think Yoshi would like it if you could visit every couple days. So we'll talk with the orphanage to see what can be done."

Birdo: "Wow. Thank you so much! I gonna go see Yoshi"

(Birdo walks outside and notices Yoshi talking, but can't hear him very well.)

Yoshi: "She loves me *pluck* She loves me not *pluck*"

Birdo: "What's he doing?"

Yoshi: "She loves me *pluck* She loves me not *pluck*"

Birdo: "Is he... doing that fortune game about love?... For me?"

(Birdo gets a little closer to see he is actually plucking petals off a flower)

Birdo: "He really does like me. I so happy!" (thinking: "Can't say it too loud or he gonna notice me. Can't wait for the first kiss!")

Yoshi: "She loves me *pluck* She loves me not *pluck*..."

Birdo: "Why'd he stop?"

Yoshi: "Hm... (Yoshi looks down and drops the stem with no petals on it) guess it wasn't meant to be aft-"

(Birdo grabs his belly from behind)

Birdo: "BOO!"

Yoshi: "AHAHAAAA! B-Birdo! W-what are y-you doing out here?"

Birdo: "Oh just wanted to see Yoshi! Whatcha doing? Especially with the flower stem?"

Yoshi: "O-oh T-that?"

Birdo: "There's a love game where people pluck petals off to see if their crush loves them."

Yoshi: "There i-is?"

Birdo: "Were Yoshi doing that about now? Hmmmmm?"

Yoshi: "I... uh... just... um..." (Yoshi begins to turn red. Yoshi thinking: "OH NO! SHE FOUND ME! Plus I lost the petal fortune")

Birdo: "Why you so hesitant to tell me? Why Yoshi turning red? Does Yoshi love someone? Hm?"

Yoshi: "M-me?" (Thinking: "WHAT CAN I SAY TO GET HER AWAY!?")

Birdo: "NO, I WANNA KNOW WHO THE BIRD HAS A CRUSH ON! OF COURSE YOU! Is the one you love someone I know? Is that why Yoshi not wanna tell? *wink*"

Yoshi: "Nn-n-n-o! I j-just... Needed the stem for... DRAWING!" (Thinking: "Even the joke about the bird was cute. I can't take this! WHY BIRDO GOTTA BE SO CUTE BUT SHE NOT LIKE ME AFTER ALL!?")

Birdo: "Drawing?" (Birdo says in the most unconvinced voice)

Yoshi: "YEAH DRAWING! LOOK, WHEN YOU MOVE THE STEM ACROSS GROUND IT CAN DRAW PICTURE!" (Yoshi draws a smiley face on the ground)

Birdo: "Of course. That's obviously the reason. *wink wink* Well we come to this in a bit that actually is kind of cool. Let me try."

Yoshi: "Sure. Birdo can try. Besides it landed on love me not anyw-" (Thinking: "I AM SUCH AN IDIOT! I ALMOST GOT HER TO BE QUIET AND YOSHI BLEW IT!")

Birdo: "IT LANDED ON WHAT NOW?"

Yoshi: "I NOT SAY ANYTHING!"

Birdo: "Yoshi said "Besides it landed on love me not anyw" then Yoshi stopped."

Yoshi: "Y-Y-Y-YOU J-J-JUST H-H-HEAR-R-RING THING-G-GS!"

Birdo: "Then why are you so nervous?"

(Birdo's belly growls.)

Birdo: "Just keep focusing on the flow-"

Yoshi: "Is that hunger or the gas?" (Thinking: "Hope it hunger so I can GET OUT OF HERE!)

Birdo: "It's hunger but just answer my-"

Yoshi: "THEN I GO ASK MAMA TO GET SOMETHING! BYE!"

(Yoshi took off running so fast he didn't even leave tracks on the ground.)

Birdo: "YOSHI! OOOOH tummy, you couldn't have waited TWO MINUTES TO DO THAT!? YEAH I HUNGRY, BUT I JUST ABOUT TO GET YOSHI TO SAY HE LOVE ME! OOOOOOOH! I SO MAD!... AND I MAD AT YOU TUMMY!"

(Yoshi when he get's inside)

Yoshi: "Birdo's tummy growling! Can we get something to eat mama?"

Jewel: "Yes. Me and Happy have been talking about that."

Happy: "Today the plan is we'll let you two eat at your favorite restaurant Fruit Oasis, then while y'all are eating we will get as much of the tree that fell over last night cleaned up as possible, then we'll pick you two up and see if the orphanage can help with Birdo."

Yoshi: "I still gonna see Birdo again right?"

(Birdo walks in)

Birdo: "YOSHI DIDN'T ANSWER MY QUESTION!"

Jewel: "Birdo, today you're going to eat with Yoshi at a restaurant. We have to clean up the tree so it will be just you two."

Birdo: "Just me and Yoshi?" (Totally forgetting about that question.)

Happy: "And as for Yoshi, yes. Birdo will stay at the orphanage, but will occasionally visit. Me and Jewel think good times would be Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. But we would need to contact them to set that up. After all we are on a budget."

Yoshi: "HOORAY!"

Jewel: "Birdo, you'll be alone with Yoshi for about one hour then we will pick you up. Don't go overboard now."

Birdo: "I won't! Thanks Jewel."

Happy: "Alright. Hop in the car."

Yoshi: "Yay! Yippee!"

Birdo: "Hooray!"

(All 4 get in the car. Jewel starts driving.)

Yoshi: "Birdo, you kinda... did some things in sleep. Birdo accidentally grab my hand while sleep talking about water guns and drooled."

Birdo: "I sorr-"

Yoshi: "Stop being like that! Stop saying sorry! I just want Birdo to know, nothing you did, will do, or can do is ever gonna be embarrassing to me. Stop trying to act like Birdo perfect. You not gonna ever be perfect. And Yoshi like that about you. Go ahead and feel free to make some mistakes and accidents. I just letting Birdo know what happened to say I not care. In fact Yoshi like it."

Birdo: "Yoshi never gonna think I weird?"

Yoshi: "Me think weird is good. Not bad. The weirder Birdo is, the better friend you are."

Birdo: "Thanks Yoshi!"

Yoshi: "Yoshi think the drooling a little funny, but not gross."

(Birdo smiles. Her cheeks turn a bit red but not much.)

Yoshi: "Now let's play some! I not gonna lose this time!"

Birdo: "HAHA! Yeah right! Come on!"

Happy: "...Yoshi, just to be clear, by play you mean... tickling right?"

Yoshi: "Uh huh!"

Happy: "I won't say anything this time. Yoshi, you have fun."

(Yoshi and Birdo play in the car until Jewel gets to the restaurant.)

Jewel: "Alright. We'll be back in one hour. That will be 10:00AM."

(Yoshi and Birdo get out.)

Happy: "Yoshi, here's 75$. That will be $40 for you because you eat a lot and Birdo $35 because she doesn't eat as much. Don't think this will be an everyday thing though."

Yoshi: "I know. Love you Daddy!"

Happy: "Love you too Yoshi."

Jewel: "Remember. One hour. We'll walk inside to get you in case you forget."

Birdo: "Got it."

Yoshi: "Bye Mama!"

Jewel: 'Bye sweetie!"

Happy: "Don't do anything overboard in public. Bye you two."

(Yoshi and Birdo walk in and Jewel and Happy drive off. Little did Jewel know, she wouldn't return in an hour to pick them up. Meanwhile hidden behind trashcans across the street)

Mouser: "GET EM NOW KING BOO! BIRDO IS INSIDE!"

King Boo: "Will you be QUIET!? If they know we're here they'll be able to run away in that car! Wait until they get home to clean up that tree I knocked over last night and THEN we will strike. Yoshi will have NO CHOICE but to abandon Birdo back to Wart, or both his parents are DEAD!"

Mouser: "Uuuuuuuuh isn't that a choice?"

King Boo: "No! Either he abandon Birdo or his parents die!"

Mouser: "But either means a choice."

King Boo: "I mean he won't have a way out of it you stupid mouse!"

Mouser: "I'm a rat Mr. Boo."

King Boo: "From where I'm standing your a dumb stink bug!"

Mouser: "I think that's the trash you're smelling sir."

King Boo: "I DON'T CARE WHAT IT IS NOW SHUT UP AND STICK TO THE ORIGINAL PLAN!"

Mouser: "Right sir...(6 seconds)... What was the original plan?"

King Boo: "You're fired."

Mouser: "I'm the one that hired you to do this job. An employee can't fire the employer"

King Boo: "You forgot what the job even was."

Mouser: "Yes... What is the job?"

King Boo: "Uh let's see... The job is a scientific study to see how fast you can get lost. Now start getting lost!"

Mouser: "Ok sir! I will get lost for you."

(Mouser walks away in a random direction)

King Boo: "Dumb bug forgot who was even working. Glad he's gone. Now I can focus on blackmailing Yoshi to give up Birdo!"

(King Boo follows Jewel and Happy home.)
