"Welcome back to Wawanakwa Resort!" Chris exclaimed from the beach. "Where the fun never ends and service is second to none."
Chris held out an empty glass. He waited. Nothing seemed to occur.
"I SAID and service is second to none!" Chris repeated.
Chef grunted with discontent as he meandered his way over to Chris and begrudgingly filled his cup with lemonade.
"Ah, that's the spirit!" Chris remarked with his grin returning. "You can book your spot today! But first how about another exciting episode of Total Drama Resort taking place right here on the island!? Last time we all got into the holiday spirit as the final seven had to brave Chefta Claus's lair and come out with a present for one of our guests. Ander won the challenge by uniting a little girl with her desired doll. When we got to the vote, everyone had a scheme of their own and it was utter pandemonium. Lex and Fabio originally planned to just vote out Nora, but she finagled a last minute switch and instead went into a tiebreaker duel with Omber, which she won, sending Omber packing. We're down to six and it's still anyone's game, so let's kick back and see what happens next!"
Theme Song Plays…
Confessional:
Ander-Mm…so last night did not go exactly as planned. Unfortunate. It looked like we were in the clear to vote out Nora, but I should have known it wouldn't be that simple, things were getting far too messy. However, I am choosing to take things in stride. Those that voted out Omber could have just as easily voted Corny or Misty, which makes me think it was less of a move against us, and specifically against Omber. And that means we still have something to work with.
Corny paced the floor of the Grotto Guardians home. He seemed quite preoccupied with thought as he murmured silently to himself and tugged at his already messy hair. Ander pulled himself out of bed and immediately noticed the state Corny was in.
"Rough night?" Ander asked.
"You could say that," Corny replied, still in motion. "I'm just tryin' to piece together what even happened to us last night. Are we under attack!? Did we just get bamboozled!? Well we must have, right!?"
"Let's just calm down," Ander suggested.
"I am SUPER calm!" Corny exclaimed erratically.
"Right," Ander remarked unconvinced as Corny seemed to be twitching in place. "Just take a breath in."
Corny took a loud gulp of air.
"I'm concerned too about what happened, but nothing good ever came from acting in panic," Ander pointed out. "Let's just approach this rationally."
"Right…right…I can do that!" Corny assured as he began to calm down.
"So, what we know right now is that a move was made, there were three votes on Omber, and since he didn't vote himself that means that Nora, Fabio, and Lex voted together," Ander recapped. "Now those three have hardly been a functioning unit in the past and have come for each other, so I don't know if they're necessarily going to all stay united unless we push them into a corner."
Corny's head flopped up and down rapidly as he nodded to each word Ander said.
"Hey hold up, maybe we should find Miss Misty and make sure she knows what's goin' on too!" Corny added.
"Hm, where has she been all this time?" Ander asked.
"Dunno!" Corny replied with a shake of his head. "Haven't seen her."
'You haven't seen her…all night?" Ander asked. "So she's been out doing…who knows what."
"That's why we've got to check on her and make sure she's okay!" Corny exclaimed. "Oh Misty, I was too wrapped up in worryin' about myself, I failed to think about you!"
"Look, I know you have the utmost faith in her," Ander sighed, "but I'm worried she may not be the best person for us to rely on right now. She had quite the volatile reaction to the move and-"
"And that's why we gotta be there for her and show she's still got some friends to lean on!" Corny exclaimed with a grin. "Good talk, Ander, buddy! Now come on, we gotta pick ourselves up and make sure we're holdin' strong!"
Corny darted up the steps as Ander just sighed, "Sure."
Confessional:
Corny-Last night was like a hurricane that just came trampezin' in all over the place and flippin' junk upside down without a care in the whole wide world! It changed the game for darn sure, but I'll tell ya what else? I'm still here! And so are my two favorite people so I gotta put all this frettin' and fussin' aside to make sure that they're still gonna be okay!
Ander-To be honest, I am a little bit worried about Misty right now. Her behavior proves that she's not exactly going to act the most…rationally, and I have no doubt that she'd throw either me or Corny under the bus if it meant buying herself another day. And even with Corny's promise of loyalty to me…I'm not exactly confident he won't be swayed by Misty whispering in his ear.
Nora was currently dancing a groovy dance all around Fabio's secret lair.
"Did you have to bring her here?" Fabio sighed.
"Hey she helped us out last round," Lex pointed out.
"Correction, we helped HER out," Fabio retorted.
"Well the point is we all worked together," Lex said. "Despite any reservations we may have had, the three of us pulled off the move together, so we might as well start acting like a team."
"Billy Bees I am feeling positively CHARGED!" Nora exclaimed as she flung herself between the two. "I was on the tips of my toes last night, death loomin' over my shoulder, and I said no way, no how, not today, not now! And I danced that reaper right off my shoulders!"
"We're very happy you managed to pull through," Lex said with a smile.
"Yeah that would have been awkward if we got stuck with a vengeful Omber," Fabio added.
"But that's what livin' life on the edge if all about, Krazy Kiddos!" Nora exclaimed, throwing her arms around the two. "And now look at us! One big powerful symphony! Fabio, you're the big poundin' bass goin' boom boom boom, keep that beat! And then Lex, you're the high flighty chorus, aaaAAAAaaaaaAAAh!"
Lex and Fabio glanced at each other uncertainly.
"Um…" Lex remarked.
"Thanks?" Fabio said.
"Yeah thanks," Lex agreed.
"No need to thank me, I'm just speakin' the truth!" Nora exclaimed. "Now then, what's the next step in this rambunctious boogie we got goin' on!?"
"How do you mean?" Lex asked.
"Well I just want to make sure we keep the good tunes goin'," Nora said. "I don't want to see us fall apart, even if in the past we may have had our differences, ya dig what I'm puttin' down?"
"Hey hey hey, water under the bridge," Fabio exclaimed. "If there's a common goal in this for us, then there's no reason to worry about anything else. You think the 1% are all the best of friends?"
"Well honestly I kind of did," Lex remarked, "I imagine they get together and have extravagant picnics on private islands-"
"WRONG!" Fabio exclaimed as he slammed his fist down. "Being a true successful entrepreneurs means you have to be prepared to make enemies out of everyone you come across…but the elite continue to support each other because it only takes one weak link before it's French Revolution on all of us!"
"Right right…and you say 'us' even though you're not ac-" Lex tried to point out.
"Shush!" Fabio cut off. "One day though…oh yes one day…"
"That's the spirit, keep chasin' those dreams of yours!" Nora encouraged.
"As for what's next," Lex said, "well…we're nearing the end, and I think that the three of us could actually make it there. I mean, if that's what you all wanted?"
"Hell yeah, that sounds jaaaaamin' to me!" Nora exclaimed.
"So that just means we only have one major obstacle in our way," Lex said. "We need to break up the three Grotto Guardians."
" Bring it on!" Fabio exclaimed.
Confessional:
Lex-Last round was huge. I wasn't even sure at all if it was going to work out, and we took a big risk changing the vote from Nora to Omber. But it paid off. Nora is firmly on our side now and it's clear that the push needs to be against the Grotto Guardians. Only problem is that there's three of them and three of us, so unless we can get someone to flip, this might go to another tie.
Nora-Oooh I've had the JIVE put back in my step! I wouldn't have guessed that I would have to kick Omber's bony behind out the door, but things changed and it was clear that he was out for himself above all else, so I had to do the same, mhm! Ain't no use thinkin' bout what could have been, it's a new chapter for me now and I'm gonna make the most of it!
Fabio-Last round we took a gamble, and it paid off! Now I'm swimmin' in the money, JACKPOT BABY! But am I gonna just sit back and be happy with that? HELL no! The key to getting rich is remembering that you can always be richer and never ever letting yourself be happy with what you have!
Nora had left the secret lair now and made her way down the road. As she was humming to herself, she noticed Corny frantically scurrying from the other direction.
"Hey there, Sugar Scooter!" Nora exclaimed. "What's the big rush, got a fire burning in your shoes?"
"I uh…huh, I ain't wearin' shoes," Corny pointed out.
"Fair enough, Sweetie Sage," Nora said with a nod. "But what's got you all jazzed up and buzzin'?"
"I'm just tryin' to find Misty," Corny answered.
"What like she's gone missin'?" Nora aksed.
"Somethin' like that!" Corny replied. "I ain't seen her all night. Oh what if she got lost and is out shiverin' in the cold?! Her body ain't built to survive that!"
"Hm, that is a mighty pinch curious," Nora mused. "Though could just be she needed a little time for herself. She did seem to have her gong rung up by that last elimination."
"Yeah, maybe," Corny agreed. "But I'd rather just find her and ask her for myself!"
"Well tell ya what, Chummy Champ," Nora said, "I'll keep an ear open and two eyes for her. If I see her, I'll skidoo right on over to find you."
"Really?" Corny asked.
'Cross my heart!" Nora assured. "Ain't no reason you should be all up in a tizzy on your own over this."
"You're the best!" Corny exclaimed as he offered a thumbs-up. "Now, I'm gonna go check the dumpsters to see if she's in there!"
"Uh…what makes you think that's the place to start, Candy Cake?" Nora asked.
"Whenever I lose something it tends to turn up there sooner or later," Corny said with a shrug.
Corny took off and Nora mused to herself.
"Alright, now where would I be hidin' out if I were havin' a trainwreck meltdown?" Nora asked herself. "Hmm…maybe I ought to just close my eyes and let the music of the world guide me."
Nora closed her eyes. Her silence was quickly interrupted by a blaring tinny klaxon.
"GUHWAAA!" she exclaimed as she snapped her eyes open.
She saw the source of the sound was a young man holding an air horn and handing out flyers…or rather tossing handfuls of flyers at anyone passing by and letting them hit the ground.
"Check out THE CLUHABB!" the man boomed. "The life of the party is WAITING FOR YOU!"
The man wore an outfit that was simultaneously too much and too little at the same time. His arms, waist, and legs were all revealed, but completely adorned with loose chains and faux jewels. He wore large sunglass, and had a sad green mohawk.
"Excuse me, you Honking Hooligan, what is the meanin' of this disgraceful disturbance of the peace?" Nora demanded.
The man blared the horn directly in Nora's face. She swatted it out of his hands angrily.
"It's THE CLUHABB, ladybro!" the man exclaimed. "Everyone's gotta hear about it. It's THE place to be, don't you know!?"
Nora picked up a flier and discovered that it was covered in hideous loud fonts that only spelled out buzzwords like "Outrageous" "JACKED!" and "leet af."
"Uh-huh," Nora remarked. "Well, Bunky Prewster, I like the enthusiasm you got goin' on here, but I think you might need to include just a little more information."
"It's the CLUHABB! LAYDEE, what part of that aren't you getting!?" the guy retorted.
"I guess I ain't quite too sure what this 'cluhabb' is supposed to be," Nora replied.
"You know, it's like The Club, but with an obnoxious accent!" the guy explained. "Because at the CLUHABB we push everything to the LIMITS!"
"And Conky Coconut, that is just superb," Nora said.
She then glanced back at the flier in her hand.
"Hm, I guess I was waitin' for a sign," she murmured to herself.
Confessional:
Nora-I figure I might as well take part in this little search party. I am hopin' nothin' too terrible happened to Misty, and if I do find her, well we probably ought to have a real conversation and clear the air between us anyways!
Lex found Ander sitting on a park bench with a bottle of water in his hand. They approached somewhat nervously.
"Uh, hello," Lex greeted.
Ander just glanced up at them wordlessly.
"I suppose we should talk after last night," Lex said.
"We could," Ander replied.
"I know, I know, that I went rogue so to speak," Lex said. "We could have just done Nora, I was ready to do that, but I also knew that you and Omber had a close working relationship, and honestly I wasn't sure if there was room-"
Ander raised his hand and said, "You do not need to explain, I already realize that it was the smart move for you."
"Oh…you do?" Lex asked.
"Nothing irritates me more than feigning ignorance of double standards," Ander said. "I'm playing the best that I can, and I expect that you are doing the same. Neither one of us should have to pretend otherwise."
"Well uh…thank you for understanding," Lex said timidly.
"Of course I trust that you're going to continue to examine your options critically and make the best decision for yourself moving forward," Ander said. "Omber and I had an understanding that if we were to help each other out then we could navigate the merge safely. Evidently, he misestimated exactly how safe he would be. But that same deal could extend to the both of us "
"You're serious?" Lex asked.
"I don't see what I have to lose," Ander said with a shrug. "I certainly don't have any faith that Misty won't cut me loose. Likewise, how much do you really trust those that you've aligned with?"
Lex remained silent and just glanced down.
"You don't have to answer," Ander added. :"But from what I would guess, it's not a rock solid foundation. Face it, the end is near, and everyone left is thirsty for the prize. If you're willing to help me then I have every reason to return the favor."
"Right, right," Lex said while nodding, through their eyes remained pointed down. "This could work…"
Confessional:
Lex-I just wanted to offer Ander an apology and explanation for misleading him, but he jumped right into proposing a new deal. Honestly, I don't feel great just going along with it when I already made a pledge of loyalty to Fabio and Nora….but well, I'm not sure what else exactly there is to say. If I turn him down then he has every reason to just try to work over Fabio or Nora instead.
Ander-I know Lex is clever, and they clearly played the last round smart. Obviously I'd rather they didn't, since now it puts me in a tricky position, but I cannot blame them for doing what they needed to do. Now I just need them to see me as an asset rather than an obstacle.
Fabio tossed a finished apple core into a nearby dumpster, but a hand suddenly emerged and caught it in midair.
"What in the world?" Fabio gasped.
"Y'know," Corny said as he emerged, covered in grunge, "these really ought to go in the compost bin, right over there."
"Oh it's just you," Fabio realized. "But what are you doing digging around in the trash?"
"Lookin' for Misty," Corny explained.
"There's a joke about her being literal trash just waiting to be seized," Fabio remarked, "but I shall be the better man and let it slide."
"So uh…I gotta ask," Corny said somewhat awkwardly as he climbed out of the dumpster, "after last night where does that really leave the two of us?"
"Do you really have to ask…do you really?" Fabio asked.
"Uh…well yea?" Corny replied with a scratch of his head.
"Corny, my friend, come on!" Fabio exclaimed with exaggerated expression as he stretched out his hands. "We're still the best of buds. Sure you may have gone behind my back with the Kirby vote, and I went behind yours with the Omber vote, but that's just our thing, right? A couple of pals just messing around, huh?'
"Um…" Corny muttered in confusion.
"If anything, it just makes us closer," Fabio suggested. "I mean, when you think about it."
Corny glanced up at the sky, deep in thought at this concept. He tapped his fingers on his chin and seemed to be struggling to come to a conclusion.
"Okay, okay, scratch that, maybe don't think about it too hard," Fabio said. "The point is, we're both still here, the cogs are still turning, and the money will be coming…for one of us."
"Right, right," Corny said with a wag of his finger, ,though he still seemed somewhat lost.
"I'm actually glad I ran into you, Cornball," Fabio said. "I think more than ever we're gonna need each other."
"Right, like last round," Corny nodded.
"Well that doesn't count," Fabio said.
"Okay, but before that," Corny pointed out.
"Eeeh…doesn't count," Fabio decreed. "But starting RIGHT NOW you and I can really do some good."
"Okay, in that case can you help me find Misty!?" Corny asked.
"Nah," Fabio replied.
Confessional:
Fabio-Sure, I already have one deal in place with Lex and Nora, but let me ask you this, when has anyone ever gotten rich by accepting the first deal offered to them? And don't try to hit me with this freeloader babies born into wealthy families! No no no, you've always got to weigh the options before you. Like if you've got a pound of gold, and a pound of billion dollar bills, which one costs more? Think about it!
Corny-(scratching head) Y'know, Fabio has never really made much sense, and the more I talk with him…the more true that seems to be. But whatever he's sayin' seems to make sense to HIM, so it must have some merit! I just gotta figure out what that is.
Nora found herself before a square concrete building covered in flashing neon lights.
"Well well, somethin' tells me I'm at the right place," she remarked.
The same man with the green mohawk stood at the door.
"Yo, yo, yo are you EXTREME enough to step into the CLUHABB!?" he exclaimed.
"You again?! Wasn't I..weren't…you were just over…" Nora stammered.
"Here, there, everywhere I am on the GO because I live my life to the edge!" the guy remarked. "Now answer me this, little miss, what brings you to these BANGING doors!?"
"You did!" Nora pointed out. "Don't you remember!? I spoke no less than five minutes ago!"
"Pretty little thang, let me tell you something!" the guy said. "A lifetime of the PARTY KNOB being cranked all the way up to 11 has left me with some CONCERNING brain damage issues, and there's no more room for memory in this head of mine! But who needs it when every day we're LIVING new memories that are gonna last forever!"
"Except not for you," Nora pointed out.
"But not for me," the guy sighed. "But enough about ME, are YOU feeling bold, brave, and BODACIOUS enough to set foot in THE CLUHABB! Let it be known that the dancefloor is built on the actual grounds for the Dance Challenge of the original Total Drama Island!'
"Huh? There was no dance challenge in Total Drama Island," Nora pointed out.
"That's right there WASN'T!" the guy exclaimed. "Because it was deemed too dangerous by production! And it's exactly that kind of RECKLESS ENERGY that keeps us all charged TO THE MAX here at THE CLUHABB!"
"Can I just go in now, Lucky Duck?" Nora asked.
"I don't know, CAN YOU!?" the guy challenge.
Nora pushed him aside and entered the building. She was immediately assaulted by various flashing strobe lights. The room was filled to the brim with young people swinging their bodies senselessly over the floor. Music blared at full volume, seemingly blocked out from the rest of the world by the walls.
"Hm, ain't gonna lie, the vibes in this joint are…a little tacky," Nora said to herself as several people carelessly shoved against her.
Nora spotted Misty moving wildly in the middle of the dance floor. She flung her hair in all direction while she shook her body.
"Misty!" Nora called, but her voice was drowned out by the music.
Nora forced her way through the crowd as she made her way to Misty. Eventually she got close enough to grab Misty by the shoulders and give her a shake.
"Norraaaaaa!" Misty exclaimed with a dopey grin. "Are you her tuh partAAAYYY with me!?"
Misty asked as she slouched against Nora's body, forcing the other girl to support her.
"Girl what in the name of Holy Jazz has gotten into you?" Nora asked.
"Jusssht this SICK beat!" Misty gurgled. "HEY DJ turn it the HELL up in herrr!"
The DJ, who was actually DJ from Total Drama Island, gave a thumbs up and complied. Nora grabbed Misty by the arms and dragged her to a stool at the bar.
"I am just, y'know…so SSSSssssick of thinking so much," Misty continued to prattle as she leaned in far too close to Nora's face. "I don't need to THINK about how frrrruggh up evvvvverthing has gotten and how it's a…aaaaaall my fault. Y'knooow? In here it's just the music and nothing else matters.'
"HEY, you!" Nora snapped at the bartender. "How much have you let her drink!?'
"Ma'am, it's the middle of day and all of our clientele are clearly underage, we don't serve alcohol here," the bartender pointed out.
"Oh…right," Nora said with a nod.
The bartender leaned in and whispered, "If you ask me I think she's just faking it for attention."
"That does track," Nora said with a nod.
Nora then returned her attention to Misty.
"Girl, I know you're goin' through some sorta crisis here," Nora said. "And I am right there with you, but you ain't solvin' nothin' by tryin' to hide away from everythin' in here."
"Shh…shush shush shush shut!" Misty murmured as she pinched Nora's lips shut. "The dancefloor is calling me!"
Misty got up and Nora quickly followed after her.
"There are people out there lookin' for ya, wonderin' if you're okay," Nora insisted to Misty.
The other girl just kept dancing and refused to say anything back.
"The game's carryin' on, you gotta pull yourself together and get back to it," Nora urged.
"Oh what do you even care!?" Misty snapped as she shoved Nora away. "Just leave me here, one less competitor for you, right?"
"I ain't lookin' at it like that," Nora said. "I could just leave ya here and call it a day, but that would be a complete insult to all the people that we outlasted to get this far. They would not have just given up the first second things got a little hokey-pokey."
"Blah blah blah, you are killing the feeling in here," Misty scoffed.
Misty broke away and pushed through the crowd. Nora shuffled after her.
"Come on, girl, give it up," Nora called.
Misty turned around and glowered at Nora.
"No, you give it up!" Misty snapped while stomping her foot. "Just leave! Me! Alone!"
With one final stomp, the panel Misty was standing on collapsed and she plummeted down a dark shaft. Nora glanced down with concern.
Confessional:
Nora-(sighs) I have to save her, don't I?
Misty-I am just so over all of this! Everything was going perfectly and then it all fell apart! If I had just voted for fatty Fabio then none of this would have happened, but now it's ruined and my game is in the gutter and I'm probably the laughingstock of the cast!
(Later)
Fabio, Lex, Ander, and Corny arrived at the site of a new challenge. Chris and Chef stood before six thick looming wood poles.
"Welcome, to your next immunity challenge!" Chris exclaimed. "You…wait a minute. Where are the girls?"
Everyone glanced around and shrugged.
"Forget'em, Chris!" Chef barked. "Too lazy to show up, then they can forfeit their right to immunity!"
"Well said, Chef!" Chris agreed. "We've got a show to run here, can't be waiting around if these girls would rather be playing hide and seek."
"But what if they're in danger!?" Corny exclaimed.
"Please, this is an esteemed resort," Chris remarked. "We've made sure to concentrate all the danger in the challenges."
"That doesn't bode well for us," Lex said nervously.
"Today's challenge is gonna force you punks to really test your endurance," Chef explained. "You're climbin' up to the top of these poles and you better hold on for your darn dear lives! Cause if you hit the ground, then that's it, you're outta here!"
"Well said, Chef," Chris remarked. "The last person with their feet off the ground will win immunity. Looks like the four of you are already at an advantage with two of our contestants missing in action. Let's get you on up there!'
The four contestants gradually pulled themselves up the poles, some with more ease than others. Ander was able to reach the top smoothly enough, while Fabio was sliding down an inch for every two he moved up, and Lex was taking their sweet time making any progress at all.
"Alright, now that you're all in place, it's time to hold on tight," Chris announced. "This challenge officially starts now!"
Confessional:
Corny-Misty ain't even showin' up for the challenge? Somethin' is definitely amiss here! But I can't give up on the challenge now, she would want me to win immunity! Wouldn't she? Eh….well I'd like to think she would!
Fabio-You snooze, you lose, that's my motto! Or rather, it's one of many mottos I keep in this handy ledger! (he reveals a thick notebook) I also like Time is money, and Money doesn't grow on trees! The point is though, I don't care what reasons Misty and Nora have for ditching the game today, I'm just thankful that means my chances at immunity have gone up!
Misty hit the ground in a dark dusty compartment beneath the dancefloor. She groaned as she pulled herself up.
"Completely poor craftsmanship," she groaned. "This is a lawsuit just waiting to happen. Maybe I'll be getting a payday out of this trip after all."
Nora slid down the side of the shaft and landed gracefully next to Misty.
"Oh it's you," Misty groaned. "You just can't leave me alone, huh?"
"Leave you alone? Sweetie Shoes, I am tryin' to help you out here!" Nora pointed out. "You just took a nasty fall into an even nastier landing."
"Just leave me here to rot!" Misty exclaimed dramatically. "It's a more humane fate than having to return to the mockery that awaits me."
"No one is mockin' you, girlfriend, you're blowin' things way outta whack," Nora sighed.
The two suddenly heard the sounds of whirring and flickering, like ancient machinery struggling to come back to life.
"Um…what was that?" Misty asked.
"W-w-WELcome!" an electronic voice marred with static and uneven tonal pacing filled the air." We have…two TWO two TWOO TWo..TWO new dancers on….the DANCEFloor!"
Misty and Nora glanced at each other uncertainly.
"You know, I think I recall that weirdo outside sayin' somethin' bout how this was built on an actual Total Drama challenge that never got used," Nora recalled.
"Okay, so what does that mean for us?" Misty asked.
In sequence, lights of different colors lit up and illuminated the room, revealing a chrome dancefloor before them. The panels in the floor were also affixed with blinking lights to give it a pulsating glow. Something lowered from the ceiling. The girls saw that it was a twisted robotic face that appeared to be half-finished so several exposed wires dangled all over. Its eyes glowed a dim red while its jaw seemed to shuffle from side to side as if it weren't fixed in place.
"Are yo…yoou Red-d-d-dY to DANCe dance dan dan dance DA DanNCCee like your LIFE depends on it!?" the robotic monstrosity recited.
"Okay that thing is FREAKY!" Misty exclaimed. "Get me out of here!"
Misty looked back up the way she had fallen in from, but there was no way to climb back out.
"I think we've only got one direction to go," Nora remarked.
Fuzzy speakers activated and played a fast-paced Eurodance beat.
"Oooh, I love this song!" Nora exclaimed as she swayed onto the dancefloor.
Misty walked onto the floor after her. She had hardly taken a few steps before a large blade on a pendulum swung towards her.
"WHOA!" Misty gasped as she leapt out of the way.
A strand of her hair was sliced off as she bolted out of the way. Misty turned around, her body quivering.
"Are you okay?" Nora asked.
"Uuuummm…AM I OKAY!? No, no I am NOT okay! I just came within half an inch of DYING!" Misty shrieked.
Another blade swung for Nora. She twirled out of the way safely.
"Okay," Nora said, continuing her dance, "I just have a feelin' that the way this works is that so long as you're doin' the dance, you can get through this safely."
"What? That's ridiculous!" Misty retorted.
"You willin' to bet your life on that?" Nora asked as another blade swung from the other direction for Misty.
Misty threw her hands up in the air and tried to mimic Nora's motions.
"That's right, just try to do like I do!" Nora encouraged.
The two girls found that they were spared of any further attacks so long as they were remaining in disco motion.
"Okay," Misty sighed, still shaking, as they reached the other end, "that wasn't so bad."
Nora found a door and pulled it open.
"GOoooooOOOd JOB!" clamored the robotic voice. "You YOU Yo YOU YOU complplplplplPLETED Rou-nnnnnd ONE! Goo D JOB!"
"Round One?" Misty repeated. "Uh…how many rounds are there?"
Nora presented the open door to a new dancefloor.
"One way to find out, Spicy Slicker," she remarked.
Confessional:
Nora-Well, Kitty Krunchs back home, I always did say that I live to dance and dance to live, but I wasn't really expectin' to have to put that to the test anytime soon.
Misty-This is insane, I am going to DIE! I don't know how I'm even filming this confessional when I am probably going to be DEAD by the end of the episode!
Back at the challenge, the four contestants were clinging to their poles as tightly as possible. Fabio's sweaty palms made this quite difficult for him, however.
"Whoa…whoa…whoa…hohoho WHOA!" Fabio exclaimed periodically as he slid down the pole a little more.
He attempted to pull himself back up, but usually any progress he made was undone by sliding down again.
"I'm good, I'm good..I got this!" Fabio added.
"Good for you!" Corny exclaimed, offering a thumbs-up while he clung to his pole with just one hand.
Fabio glowered at him jealously. Ander just remained silent, holding in place with his arms and legs wrapped tightly. Lex clenched their teeth together as they felt their grip beginning to slip. They tried to force themselves to remain in place but it was futile and they began to slide down their pole. They managed to stop themselves just before hitting the ground. They gave a short sigh as their eyes slowly opened.
"You guys might as well just drop now!" Fabio taunted. "I am never ever giving up! I'll be here all night if I have to!"
"Your words are noted," Ander stated. "But I have my doubts that you're able to back them."
"Hey, I'll take ya up on that wager, Fabio!" Corny exclaimed. "I once had to spend two days camping atop a telephone pole after a family of errant grizzly bears decided to make themselves right at home there."
Fabio slipped again, risking to plummet right to the bottom, but he managed to wrap his ankles around the pole and hang upside-down from his legs. His hat blew off his head though and hovered to the ground.
"I may be losing points in style, but it will all be worth it in the end!" Fabio exclaimed.
With a thud, Lex was unable to hold on any longer and hit the ground.
"And we have our first one out!" Chris exclaimed. "Lex, you will not be winning this challenge!"
"Well enough, I don't think my hands could take much more of that," Lex remarked as they shook out their sore arms.
Confessional:
Fabio-You know, I may not have big muscles, but I have big strong willpower! The key to victory here will be wearing down the souls of these other punks. If they see that my spirit isn't breaking, surely they will start to waver and then WHAM they hit the ground!
Corny-This challenge is actually a heck-ton of fun! Nothin' quite like just climbin' a tree and hangin' round for the day, and that's pretty much what this one is all about!
Misty and Nora stepped out to the next room which had a sleek wooden floor. The music suddenly changed to a lilting piano melody.
"Round Two TWO two TWOOO round ROUND two! Dance DANC aaaNCE like never before!" recited the robotic voice.
"Okay, okay I think I've gotten the hang of this," Misty said.
The girl rocked her body and began swaying along the floor. Suddenly, a row of narrow spikes shot up from the ground. Nora managed to grab Misty by the shoulders and pull her out of the way just before she got skewered.
"What gives!?" Misty snapped.
"If I had to wager a guess," Nora mused, "we've got a new song now, that means a brand new dance we gotta oogie-woogie-boogie our feet to. And this one sounds like a waltz."
"A waltz!?" Misty echoed. "What do I look like, Cinderella at the ball?"
"It ain't that hard, just let me take the lead," Nora said.
Nora put her arms on Misty and carefully began to move.
"Just one step after another, see? One, two, three, and one, two, three," Nora directed, as she gracefully slid from side to side.
Misty tried to move in time with her, though struggled to keep up and faltered a few steps. Every time she did, a spike shot up from the floor, or down from the ceiling. Nora would have to yank her body in the opposite direction to keep her from being impaled.
"You know," Misty said as she began to pick up the pacing, "I must say you have a very firm grip."
"Mhm," Nora replied as she dipped and pulled Misty's body back, just narrowly avoiding a spire from the ceiling, "ain't the first time I've heard that."
Nora twirled the two as they dodged several spikes by just a single spitsecond. One even pierced right through the space between the two girls. As they neared the end, though, Misty lost her footing and stumbled aside. She had to roll frantically to avoid the spiral of spikes jutting out from both directions.
"Oh my god, oh my god!" Misty shrieked as she desperately kept spinning in a panic.
Nora also stopped when she realized she'd been separated from her partner. She glanced over at Misty, but suddenly a spike shot down towards her. She pulled out of the way, but not before her afro was punctured slightly. Nora continued to perform her waltz steps without a partner. She swung herself towards Misty and managed to sweep her up again and carry on the motion.
"Oh my GOD OH MY GOD!" Misty continued to scream.
"Can you stop yelling in my face now?" Nora asked.
"No I cannot, this is an instinctual reaction to SEEING MY LIFE FLASH BEFORE MY EYES!" Misty exclaimed loudly.
The two managed to reach the end safely, though clearly rather shaken up. Both of their hair was in complete disarray and their clothes displayed several small tears.
"RoooUUUUUnd TWO! Com Co CO CO M COMPLETE!" boomed the robotic voice. "G-g-g GET GET GET GET GET GET GET GET GET! READyyyyy for Round 3!"
Misty took in several deep breaths.
"Alright," she exhaled while finally calming down, "look…we may hate each other, but if we're going to survive this ordeal then we are going to have to put all that aside and work together."
"Hold up, hold up!" Nora exclaimed. "First of all, you hate me!? And second of all…you think I hate you?"
"Every girl I've ever met hates me, no big deal, it's fine," Misty said with a shrug. "I make them insecure and jealous and I just can't help it."
"I can assure you that I ain't feelin' nothin' like that bout you," Nora assured.
"Sure, sure, you say that now, but then suddenly it's knives out when you think I'm going to steal your man," Misty retorted.
"You couldn't steal my man if you tried," Nora laughed. "Which as a matter of fact…you did."
"Well, this isn't going to work if we can't be honest with each other," Misty said.
"Maybe you oughta start with bein' honest with yourself, cause I sure as shamrock ain't told a lie to your face," Nora replied.
Confessional:
Misty-Why couldn't I have been stuck down here with one of the men who I could coax into wanting to die for me? That would have made this whole thing so much more manageable!
Nora-I think I might be able to dance dance dance my way through this thing, but if I gotta be babysittin' Misty all the way through? Well now that's gonna be a challenge, Loopy Loons!
Time had past in the endurance challenge, but the three boys were still hanging on tight. Fabio remained just a small space above the ground, unable to pull himself any higher. Sweat formed on his head and dripped down his face.
"You guys…must be getting…pretty tired now, huh?" he worked out between heavy breaths. "Feeling…like you're gonna drop…any minute now…right?"
"Not really," Ander remarked, unbothered.
"I could do this all day!" Corny exclaimed as he flipped himself off the pole, dived down and then caught himself on the bottom. "In fact, I could do this for many days!"
Corny began to shimmy his way back up with ease. Fabio furrowed his brow again.
"It looks as though you're the one who is struggling," Ander said to Fabio.
"Bah, looks can be..deceiving," Fabio wheezed. "What you're witnessing is all part of my process."
Fabio slipped down a little further and his legs brushed against the ground.
"Fabio, your process seems to have failed to come through for you," Chris noted. "You are out of this challenge."
"Bah!" Fabio pouted.
"Man, a good thing too, his process really had me worried for a second there," Corny remarked.
Confessional:
Fabio-Fine, fine, let them laugh, I didn't need immunity anyways! I'm just working on keeping them underestimating me so that I can STRIKE and make big money right when the stocks are at their fullest!
Ander-This challenge is just my type. Simple, and based on a single trait of strength. I will hold on as long as it takes to guarantee myself another day here.
Misty and Nora entered the next stage of the murderous dancing game. They were met with a floor of concrete panels.
"Dance Dance DANCE DANzzzzCe or DIE!" the robotic voice announced.
The music switched to a heavy rock tune.
"Any idea what we're supposed to do for this one?" Misty asked.
"Uh…recklessly rock out?" Nora suggested.
Nora hopped forward and presented dual devil-horn gestures. The entire room suddenly shook. The panels quivered violently. Then they began to split apart, forming uneven cracks among them.
"Uuuh…this don't look so good," Nora remarked.
"Keep rocking on with the reckless rebel's spirit!" Misty urged.
Nora tossed herself forward and landed on another panel, though the shaking nearly caused her to lose her balance. She staggered from side to side but managed to avoid falling into the abyss below. Misty followed after her, flinging her air through the air with dramatic flare as she made each jump. However, as the floor kept quaking in violent motions, Misty was knocked back onto her rear. She tumbled towards the drop as the floor slanted. She frantically tried to dig her nails into anything to hold onto. Nora glanced back and saw her struggling, but was able to go back for he as the distance formed between the panels was too wide now. Misty managed to desperately kick herself up and clutch onto the concrete ledge. She pulled herself up and exhaled in exhaust.
"Come on, girl, you can do it!" Nora called.
Misty glanced at the large gap that had formed between her and the next nearest panel now.
"I can't," Misty cried. "I can't make it! I'm going to just die here!"
The room continued to shake, Misty's legs quivered, Nora was knocked back.
"You CAN do it!" Nora urged again. "Ignore all them doubts that are rooted in your head, whisperin' lies in your ears! It ain't the truth! Right now, none of that matters a bit. Right now, you can do anythin'!"
"Well that's really nice of you to say but it doesn't make me feel any better about jumping to my death!" Misty shouted back.
"JUST DO IT!" Nora retorted.
Misty launched herself over the edge. Every part of her body flailed wildly through the air. Nora stretched herself outward. She was reaching out so that just her toes were faintly resting on the very tip of the corner she was on. All it would take was one shake to send her sprawling over the edge. Nora reached out and clasped Misty's hands. With a sudden lurch, she pulled back, bringing the other girl to safety.
"You did it!" Nora cheered.
"Great, now let's ride this adrenaline rush out of here!" Misty exclaimed, continuing to move across the broken floor.
The two girls once again reached a point of brief reprieve.
"See? You got what it takes!" Nora assured Misty.
Yeah," Misty said softly before adding with more conviction, "Yeah! I CAN do this! And no robotic freak is going to be the death of me!"
"That's the spirit!" Nora cheered.
The two opened the next door.
"Rah RaaaooooUNND FOUR!" the robotic voice announced followed by a blaring switch to bubblegum music.
"You know what this calls for?" Nora remarked. "An empowering montage!"
The two girls strutted through a pink colored room with various dips and hills. Nora punched at the air dramatically, knocking back several oncoming bulbous projectiles. Misty performed a cartwheel to dodge a series of darts fired from the wall.
"RUuuuuhh ROUND fiiiiive!"
Misty and Nora hopped between spinning discs. Nora performed an impressive continuous twirl while Misty clung to the edge of one of the discs, tossing herself through the air and landing on another.
"Raw RAW Rruuuung ROUND NINE!"
Nora and Misty ran up the walls in a chamber that seemed to be rolling in motion all around them. The sleek metal that they stood on would break apart with each step, but the girls kept moving. They both spun themselves through the middle, exchanging high fives midair, and then carrying on from opposite ends of where they started.
"Rrrrrroooooouuunnnd FIFffftttthhhtEEEN!"
Nora and Misty had to position themselves back to back, using their hands and feet interchangeable to traverse a dancefloor that seemed to defy dimensions itself. They reached the end, both heaving with breath and looking incredibly disheveled. Misty had mascara running all the way down her face now.
"Ooh, you gotta a little something there," Nora noted as she futilely tried to wipe it away. "I didn't even know you were wearin' makeup."
"I decided to throw some on between the Country Round and the Rap Battle floor," Misty explained. "I thought it would really capture my state of utter distress."
"Oooh, right on, right on," Nora approved with a nod.
The two opened the next door only to come face to face with the same hideous robot who had been tormenting them all this time.
"Ah!" Both girls gasped.
The animatronic being crept forward, vibrating like an insect. Its head tilted from side to side.
"You….yyyyy…yy uh yuh uh yyaaa….YYY-yy-yyou! YOU! You Yya yyya yyooou!" it sputtered. "YOU diiid IT! Hoo rawwwyy! HOORAAY! You did it! ConGRATulayyyyyyyyayayayayaytions! Dancing Divas!"
A circular hole opened up and out popped a gold trophy.
"For me?" Misty gasped as she gently picked up the prize. "I'm just…so touched. I want to thank everyone who believed in me and-"
Misty suddenly and violently plunged the trophy into the robot's head. She then began battering it up and down repeatedly.
"DIE! DIE DIE DIE DIE you sadistic robot bastard!" Misty shrieked.
"Get him, get him!" Nora cheered Misty on.
"Yo…UuuuUUUUuuu YOU you Yoou UU YOU YOU you yuuuu YOU!" the robot continued to splutter as Misty repeatedly battered it until its parts fell apart and scattered over the floor.
"WOO! I feel alive! I feel like I can do anything!" Misty cheered victoriously.
Confessional:
Misty-After defying death time and time again through the powers of dance, I am feeling completely rejuvenated. Any of the problems I had on my mind this morning seem completely irrelevant in comparison!
Nora-I never thought I would ever say this in my life…but I think I need a bit of a break from dancin' after that.
Ander and Corny remained on their poles. Corny restlessly swung himself from side to side, trading which hand he was using to grip. Ander remained in place.
"Come on, Ander, buddy, you really just gonna stay put like a bump on a log?" Corny asked.
'That is exactly what I intend to do," Ander replied. "If it will get me this challenge win."
"Okay! But I ain't plannin' on droppin' anytime soon at all," Corny retorted. "We're gonna be waitin' here a long, long time!"
"Then we shall wait," Ander stated.
Chris sighed as he watched from below.
"This is boring, Chef," he remarked. "We're gonna have to cut to some secondary plot just to make this episode watchable."
"Hey don't blame me, this challenge was all your idea!" Chef pointed out.
One of the cobblestone panels suddenly moved aside. A dishveled Misty and Nora pulled themselves out.
"Sweet sunlight…we made it!" Misty exclaimed triumphantly.
"And just where have you brats been!?" Chef demanded.
"Oh Cheffy, you wouldn't believe the trouble we been through!" Nora exclaimed.
"Excuses, excuses, I don't wanna hear it!" Chef barked. "Hope it was worth it for you to miss out on this challenge!"
"Who needs immunity, I've come face to face with death itself!" Misty exclaimed.
"Wait, is that Misty!?" Corny exclaimed from atop his pole.
He quickly jumped down to the ground.
"You're alive!" he exclaimed as he ran over to hug Misty. "Thank the stars! What happened to you!? Are you hurt!?"
"Well, well, looks like Corny just forfeited the challenge too," Chris noted. "Interesting move. That does mean that Ander is the winner of this challenge and immune from tonight's vote. The rest of you…no such luck!"
Confessional:
Nora-It is a bit of a bummer to miss out entirely on the chance for immunity, but overall, I'm just glad to be alive right now!
Corny-Okay, so maybe I did throw away my chance for the challenge, but it's alright! I'm fine with my buddy Ander winnin', and of course I just couldn't help myself when I saw Misty who is also very near and dear to my heart!
Ander-Once again, simple persistence prevails.
"Misty, Misty, what happened to you!?" Corny asked with wide eyes.
The Grotto Guardian three had returned to their homebase after the challenge had ended.
"Oh nothing for you to worry your simply little brain about," Misty said sweetly as she patted Corny on the head. "I was just going for a little dance, that's all. I needed to dance my way through some things on my mind."
"And was it worth missing the challenge for?" Ander asked.
"Why, Ander, I'd never even dream about trying to snatch away your well-earned victory," Misty said with an innocent tone. "That's more than enough of a win for me. I know how…primal you boys can get when it comes to these competitions."
Ander just gave a light grunt in response.
"The important thing though is that I've had a shift in perspective, I have clarity now on what needs to happen!" Misty exclaimed.
Corny nodded and watched on with wide eyes.
"Do enlighten us," Ander said, with less conviction.
"While I was dancing for my life, I had some help from Nora and she made me realize a few things," Misty recounted. 'Primarily, I realized what a threat she's going to be in these upcoming challenges. That woman can move like unchained lightning. I really think if we pass up the chance to get her out now, we could be regretting it."
"Your big revelation…is to target the person we just tried to vote out last round?" Ander remarked. "For some reason I thought it might have been a little more bold than that, but I see now that was foolish of me."
"It's okay, I forgive you," Misty said sweetly.
"You really think she could be a danger to us?" Corny asked, still captivated with Misty's story.
"Well I don't know for sure, and I would never try to TELL you boys how you have to vote," Misty replied. "But from what I saw, I do think it's the right call. There's a very good chance that she's going to dance circles around all of us if we let her."
"But let's take a step back, there is a flaw in your logic," Ander said.
"Oh no!" Misty gasped.
"While this would be worst case scenario, we can't rule out the possibility that this vote will tie again," Ander pointed out. "And if that happens, do either of you really want to be up against the person who you think is a physical threat? We could be setting ourselves up for failure."
"Ander, Ander, Ander, I know you're trying so very hard to get a thought out of that rock in your head, but you don't have to do that," Misty cooed as she pulled herself in close to Ander. "You've already won the challenge, you don't need to impress me. This vote isn't going to tie, because once we make our pitch, the others would be foolish to not take this chance. I'm sure Corny and I will have Fabio all wrapped up in a web by the end of the night."
"I just-" Ander tried to say.
"Shhhh, give that head of yours a rest," Misty said. "We've got this."
"But you'd never TELL me how to vote," Ander said sarcastically.
"That's right, I never would," Misty replied innocently.
Confessional:
Ander-This just seems like a bad idea to me. I may be safe, but there's a very good reason for the others to try to make sure a Grotto Guardian is in the line of fire this round. Nora made short work of the last tiebreaker challenge, I don't have faith in Corny or Misty to survive against her, so this sort of feels like I'm setting myself up to be on the losing side.
Corny-If what Misty says is true, then it may have been a blessin' that Nora wasn't here at the challenge today. She seems like a real fun and hip lady, but I don't know if I'd want to be up against her at the end with moves like hers!
Misty and Corny peered around the corner of a block to see Fabio walking down the street.
"Okay, here's the plan," Misty said, "I'll butter him up and get him all warmed up to the idea, then you come in and make sure that he's hooked for the plan!"
"Roger that!" Corny exclaimed with a salute.
Misty then straddled her way out and made sure to throw herself in Corny's way.
"Why, look who it is! Mr. Big-Time himself!" Misty exclaimed.
"Yep, that is me!" Fabio replied.
"I was hoping to get the chance to talk to you," Misty said. "I know last round didn't exactly go as we agreed, but that's okay. You've got real big plans, and me…well I'm just so small compared to that. I get swept up and lost in at all, and oooh…"
Misty pretended to faint to allow Fabio to catch her.
"Oh thank you," Misty remarked. "Anyways, that was a really smart move from you, I'm impressed, dare I say…captivated by your wits."
"Uh-huh, I've got real big brains going on up in here!" Fabio boasted.
"A man of style AND brilliance!" Misty doted. "I guess that just leaves physical strength but well…we can't all be perfect."
"Meh, overrated!" Fabio scoffed. "When I'm rich and influential I can just hire someone to do any heavy lifting for me."
"Too true," Misty said. "But in this game…well there's still a few scary challenge threats out and about. But I'm sure a brilliant mind as yours has already figured out what the correct move to make is here…"
Corny then tapped on Fabio's shoulder and whispered in his ear, "She means voting out Nora."
Misty dragged Corny away by the collar.
"Okay, I meant maybe a little more subtlety than that," Misty remarked.
"Oops, sorry! Do you wanna start over?" Corny asked.
"I think it's a little late for that," Misty said.
"Lady, gentleman," Fabio said as he put his arms around the two. "You can trust that I am going to do whatever is smartest for me tonight, alright? Good talk!"
Confessional:
Misty-If Fabio knows what's good for him, he'll scuttle right on over to where I want him. Is he really going to tie the vote for someone who could kick his ass in the final challenge, hmm?
Fabio-Even a blind man could see that those two were trying to hustle me, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna rule out everything that they said. What they may not realize is that I am the King Hustler in this game, and sometimes it pays to play the long game!
Ander met Lex in the same park where they had met in the morning.
"Hello there," Lex greeted.
"Good day," Ander said. "I have a proposition for you."
"I'm listening," Lex replied.
"What would you say to the chance to vote out Misty this round?" Ander offered.
"Oh my," Lex exclaimed. "I'd probably have some questions, like what's the catch?"
"No catch," Ander assured. "I simply want us both to be doing what's best for our games, like we discussed earlier. Misty has proven to be far from reliable. She had a meltdown today and disappeared, then comes back and starts trying to direct the vote. It's clear that she only cares about herself, and that's not someone I want making up one fifth of the vote next round."
"I can't argue with any of that," Lex said. "If you're serious about doing this, then I don't see any reason not to see it through."
"I'm always serious," Ander replied.
Confessional:
Ander-One thing I didn't add to Lex is that I'm also concerned about Misty's new commitment to getting out those she deems a challenge threat. Surely once Nora is out of the way there's nothing stopping her from selling me out next. The smart play for me here is to just make sure I'm one step ahead and secure my place with others rather than wait for her to cut me loose.
Lex-This feels almost too easy. This morning it was looking like it might be a locked three-three split, but now Ander is offering us an instant majority. I don't see why he'd offer something like that if he weren't serious about doing it.
Lex, Nora, and Fabio returned to the lair.
"Alright, Party Poppers, let's zip zap and zash our way into this vote!" Nora exclaimed.
"Who are we gonna off tonight!?" Fabio asked.
"Well, I actually just had an interesting conversation with Ander," Lex remarked as they paced. "He said he'd be willing to vote out Misty. That could give us an easy way to go without having to face off in a tiebreaker."
"No complaints from me," Fabio remarked. "She basically flew off the handle because one round didn't go her way. Not winner material."
"She is definitely dealin' with somethin' alright," Nora added.
"But," Lex mused, partly to themselves as they paced.
Fabio and Nora both leaned in as they waited for Lex to continue.
"But well…we have an opportunity here, and I'm just wondering if using it to take out Misty is really our most effective play," Lex said. "It's true she's a mess, but that just means she's not a threat to us. Compared to someone like Corny, who is loyal to both Ander and Misty. No matter what he'd likely still be on their side if he were here next round. And he came pretty close to winning this challenge, who's to say he's not the one we should be worried most about?"
"Mhm, mhm, you could be onto something here, Twinkly Tot," Nora replied. "I'm all for delivering a stunning twist in the works and changin' this beat right up."
"Well I don't know," Fabio spoke up. "We might be opening a box we can't shut if we go through with this. Are you confident it's the best play?"
"Honestly," Lex sighed, "no. I'm not sure of anything right now, there's so many different possibilities playing out in my mind."
"Just remember to keep on breathin'," Nora advised Lex. "Sooner or later the sweet, sweet, tune of the truth will come through all that noise and remind you of what's right."
Confessional:
Lex-If I were to take Ander's gesture and use it against him, well that would be a pretty dirty move, and I'm not sure if I want to be that person. But then again, he also said that he expects me to do what's best for my game, and I think I stand a much better chance against Misty than I do Corny.
Fabio- Honestly I don't give a horse's behind on what we do tonight. I just act like I'm on the fence so that these two make sure to remember how valuable my vote is. I don't want either of them getting too comfortable here!
(Dock of Shame)
The final six approached the dock and took their seats. Chris and Chef stood before them.
"It's getting a little empty in here, huh?" Chris remarked. "And tonight one more of you will be down the Dock of Shame and aboard the Boat of Losers to never be heard from again!"
"So frightening!" Misty exclaimed as she cuddled up next to Ander. "I hope that doesn't happen to me."
"Nora, Misty, the two of you missed the challenge completely today," Chris said. "Do you feel like that could cost you?"
"Oh I don't know, Chrissy," Misty said sweetly as she pressed her finger to her lips. "Seeing as I was kept busy by one of your unapproved, deadly challenges, I'd like to think that if I leave tonight you'll be finding yourself with a big fat lawsuit."
"I don't know what you're talking about," Chris scoffed before whispering to Chef. "Call the lawyers."
"The lawyers are busy in Cambodia," Chef reminded Chris. "You know, because of that thing you wanted taken care of…"
"They had no right using my likeness in such profane ways," Chris huffed.
"Is there a story here?" Lex asked.
"None of your business!" Chris snapped. "Anyways, moving right along, last round we had a tie breaker, any chance of that happening again?'
"Not at all, Chris!" Corny exclaimed. "We took care of that by uh…oh well I prolly shouldn't say with everyone here."
"Well I'm certainly curious now," Lex remarked.
"Y'know what? Forget I said a thing," Corny exclaimed. "There indeedy doo is a chance of bein' a tie tonight, ayup!"
"Okay, weird answer," Chris replied. "But let's get on with this vote…"
Chef stepped forward with the box of votes.
"First vote," he announced, "Nora!"
Nora gave a little shimmy in her seat.
"Second vote….Corny!"
"Third vote…Nora!"
"Fourth vote…Misty!"
"Fifth vote…Corny!"
"Final vote…"

"Ah heck, looks like ya got me!" Corny exclaimed as he stood up. "Aw well, easy come, easy go, right?"
"Corny, the Boat of Losers awaits," Chris said.
"I'm outta here!" Corny exclaimed before turning to face Misty. "And as for you…maybe I'll see ya around sometime when this game is over and done!"
"I wouldn't count on it," Misty replied sweetly with a wave.
"I respect that," Corny said as he skipped his way along the Dock of Shame.
"And then there were five," Chris said to the remaining contestants. "Anything can still happen here at Total Drama Resorts, so you definitely do not want to get comfortable or ever feel safe. Now pick your sorry selves up and head on out of here!"
Votes:
Misty-(blows kiss) Nora, you've got the moves, but I'd simply hate to have to face off against you. I'm afraid this is farewell.
Corny-No hard feelin's meant but I gotta put in a vote for Nora! She's gonna be a tough one to beat!
Lex-After some careful thought and reflection, I have decided to push my feelings down and focus on what is best for me. Corny, you're sweet, you're committed, and for all these reasons you're a big threat at this stage.
Nora-Corny, pack up your banjo and bring your sweet tunes somewhere else, cause it's time for my jammin' notes to fill up this resort!
Ander-Misty, I believe that this is where we part. It's only a matter of time before you try to plunge the knife in my back, so I'm taking the first shot.
Fabio-Corny, you're a nice guy…and didn't you ever hear? Nice guys finish last!
(Conclusion)
"Another vote done, another day closer to the finish line," Chris said from the Dock of Shame. "Corny is back out on the streets, but one of these five will leave this game with a million dollars in their pockets! Will it be Ander, the streetsmart thug who has a cool head and an endless supply of deadpan sarcasm? Lex, the timid little mouse who has learned to have their own voice heard? Misty, the spiteful siren who is convinced she can spin these men against one another? Fabio, the big dreamer who lets his passion for riches drive his actions? Or Nora, the dancing queen herself who has oogie, woogie, and even boogied her way through the game? Only one of them has what it takes, so keep following along with Total…Drama…Resort!"
