Mineta tries flirting with...

Chapter fifteen: Impish Invention

The audience summoned by Talespinner69 to the big theater room had just finished watching the first of five bonus episodes of the realm where Mineta tries flirting with girls. ...Or at the very least interact with them in some way. The first bonus episode had put a lot of the audience in a good mood, and many were quite eager to see what direction the rest of the bonus episodes would be taking things for the height challenged grape boy.

"So since the bonus episodes will have Mineta interact with random girls, there's no predicting who Mineta will be seen with next," Izuku remarked.

Shrugging, Uraraka said, "Well if Mineta is as good with the other girls in the bonus episodes as he was with Eri in the first bonus episode, then I don't see where I'll have much issue with him."

Mineta breathed a sigh of relief, thankful that the bonus episodes were going to do right by him. He could only hope that the others will continue the trend. "I wonder which girl I'll be working with next," Mineta wondered aloud.

"The way of crafted realms is a fickle mistress," Kotaro said from where he and Tale stood on the stage in front of the big theater screen, "It could give you another episode where a girl gives you hell, or it could give you another episode that does right by you."

"I hope like hell it gives another episode that does right by Mineta," Tale admitted, "Because after the base thirteen episodes, I think that Mineta ought to be given a break."

Turning to look at Aizawa, Hizashi said, "Yo Sho, what do you think?"

Shrugging, Aizawa replied, "I think that if Mineta does act in a reprehensible, lewd manner than he ought to be punished appropriately. But there is a such thing as going too far, and if the line's crossed, then apologies ought to be issued."

"Similarly, if Mineta does no wrong then he ought to be left alone," Hound Dog chimed in, "And if he does good then he ought to be rewarded for it. Also if he does no wrong but is still hurt, then he ought to be compensated and the person who harmed him ought to be punished."

Gesturing to the big theater screen, Nezu said, "Well he did good in the last episode, so that ought to be praise worthy."

"And since the next episode is ready and rearing to go," Kotaro said, "We can see how well Mineta will be doing."

"Come on, give me another episode that makes me look good!" Mineta said as everyone turned to face front and center towards the big theater screen as the next bonus episode was being brought up for their viewing pleasure.

...

(Mineta tries flirting with Mei Hatsume)

"Hoo boy," Power Loader in the audience said in an 'uh oh' kind of tone, "If anything, this episode won't be gentle with Mineta."

"Yeah, Hatsume causes almost as many explosions as Kacchan," Izuku said in a similar tone as Power Loader, "And I recall getting hurt at least once while on my way to see her."

Mineta gently face palmed as he sighed in worry. "...I hope at the very least I'm respectable in this episode."

It was a well enough day at UA, and classes were over for the day. Mineta was seen talking to Kaminari, Sero, Kirishima, and Bakugo in the 1-A homeroom when Aizawa came walking over to the boys. "Mineta, I need to speak with you," Aizawa began.

A bit nervous, Mineta turned to look at his teacher. "Am...I in trouble, Aizawa-sensei?"

"Well I got it from Sero here that you had helped Eri in getting Asui's younger brother to like her," Aizawa began, "And that you were responsible and acted respectfully the whole time. There was nothing with what you did with Eri that I would object to, and I actually think that it's rather sweet."

"So...you're not mad?" Mineta replied.

Shrugging, Aizawa said, "Given nothing bad happened, technically no. My only real point of contention is that I wished you had at the very least informed me about what you were doing, but like I said no harm came from it, so I suppose there's no foul."

Gesturing to the big theater screen, Aizawa in the audience said, "The me here is acting more or less how I for real would act if what happened here had happened for real. He's being very reasonable here, which I can admire."

Nodding in approval, Nezu agreed, "Yes, this is the proper way for things to go. At least if you ask me."

"So far so good," Mineta remarked.

"So is there anything you need, sensei?" Sero asked.

Gesturing to the boys, Aizawa said, "Actually, I need someone to go to Power Loader's classroom in the support department and pick up something that he's supposed to have just finished for me. I was figuring on giving the task to Mineta since he's shown some degree of responsibility, and I figured that I'd give him the chance to try to rebuild some of the trust that I have in him."

"Huh, sounds reasonable enough," Mineta replied, "So I just ask for the thing then when I get it I bring it to you?"

"Bring it to the 1-A dorm building and keep it safe there," Aizawa said, "In the meanwhile, I'll be going with Sekijiro and Hizashi to pick up Sekijiro's girls since they've been treated for their having temporarily going deaf. Hizashi will be made to apologize for his part in what happened to have caused it."

"Yeah, that's wasn't one of my more shining moments, I will admit," Hizashi in the audience said in a slightly guilty tone.

"Like how you did something with a baguette to cause Shouta to revoke you kitchen privileges?" Emi asked, shooting Hizashi a sly, knowing, mildly amused look.

Mineta nodded in agreement and got up to head over to Power Loader's classroom in the support department. The boys minus Bakugo went with Mineta to make sure he didn't screw up, and Bakugo said he was going with Aizawa to help pick the girls up, claiming that Pony is his girl now and he wanted to bring her a charming little gift to celebrate her recovery.

Thus began Mineta's journey to the support department, unaware of what awaited for him and the boys following him there.

...

In the support department, Mineta and the others were looking for Power Loader's classroom to pick up the thing for Aizawa. "Hey, did Aizawa-sensei even say what the thing is or what it'd look like?" Kirishima asked.

Shrugging, Mineta replied, "I figured that all we had to do was tell Power Loader that we're here to pick up the thing for Aizawa-sensei. I'll assume he'll know what the hell we're talking about and just give it to us."

"Yeah, that would be a logical thing to assume," Aizawa in the audience remarked.

"And apparently Pony is dating Bakugo now in this realm," Itsuka commented, sounding rather curious.

"Why isn't Kirishima going to help pick up Kinoko since she likes him here?" Sero asked.

"Well for starters he doesn't know she likes him yet," Dark Shadow began, "Also she's got that stalker shrine dedicated to him in her wardrobe, so if he in this realm finds out about it, it would probably creep him out to some degree."

Shrugging, Kirishima admitted, "I'd probably be as mildly creeped as Yosetsu would be if he found out that Yaoyorozu has a shrine to him."

"Yeah, that makes sense," Kaminari replied as they reached the door that led into the support classroom that Power Loader presided over, with Mineta standing right in front of the door but facing the guys, and the guys a few feet away on the doors left if you're facing it.

Nodding in agreement, Mineta remarked, "All I got to do is pick up the thing, bring it safely to our class's dorm building, and keep it safe until I can hand it off to Aizawa-sensei. It's a simple job that has no risk to me getting-"

*KABOOM*

The door that Mineta stood in front of blew off its hinges and smacked into the whole of Mineta with such force that it flung him until he smacked into the wall behind him, bouncing off and landing on the floor where he kept rolling until he landed right at Kaminari's feet.

Izuku in the audience sighed in a resigned, knowing tone. "...Classic Hatsume. Blowing stuff up and unknowingly hurting others in the process."

"I didn't do anything wrong!" Mineta complained, "Why was I still hurt?!"

"That's my top student for you," Power Loader said dryly.

As the guys coughed while waving the smoke away, and Mineta slowly picked himself back up, Mei Hatsume came out of the doorway that now lacked an actual door. "Did anyone see that?!" Mei cheered, "That spontaneous combustion was thirty percent less potent than my usual explosions! I'm starting to get it right!"

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Mineta snapped, "That door could have killed me! As it stands I should probably go see Recovery Girl since I took that door as if it were an elephant slamming into me at a full force charge!"

Not perturbed in the least by Mineta snapping at her, Hatsume looked at the boys as a whole. "Say, I could use some extra hands in the workshop right now," Hatsume began, "Would you all like to help me make some babies?"

"Even I wouldn't be interested in doing that with you!" Mineta snapped.

Nodding in agreement, Mineta in the audience said, "Yeah, after that even I myself would be in no mood for real to do that with a girl."

"If that me is like me for real, she's using 'make babies' as an euphemism for working on inventions," Hatsume commented.

"I still wouldn't be in the mood to help," Mineta replied dryly.

Turning to face Mineta, Kaminari said, "Uhh dude, Izuku told me that Hatsume uses 'make babies' to refer to her inventing."

"I still don't ca-" Mineta began, but he was cut off when, before either he or any of the guys were able to object, Hatsume shanghai'd them into helping her anyway.

...

A few moments later, Mineta and the others were in the workshop, standing side by side as Hatsume stood in front of them. "You all shall be helping me with work around here," Hatsume began, "I can see a use for each and every one of you!"

"No," Mineta said flatly, "We're just here to pick up something from Power Loader for Aizawa-sensei. We really don't have the time to help out much here."

"Mineta...is being unamused with a girl," Kyoka in the audience said, "Wow."

"I guess that even Mineta can't handle the crazy that is Hatsume," Nirengeki remarked.

"She's not crazier than me, is she?" Toga asked as she turned to face her fellow villains, "Because I have a reputation to uphold, you know!"

"Oh yeah, I know the thing you're talking about," Hatsume said, "How about this? I'll give it to you if you agree to help me."

"Or we can just go right to Power Loader and tell him you're deliberately impeding us," Mineta pointed out dryly.

Waving a hand dismissively, Hatsume said, "He's not even on campus right now. Look, I need help, alright? So just help me."

Shrugging, Sero replied, "Meh, why not?"

Turning to look at Sero in the audience, Mineta said, "If I get hurt here because you agreed for all of us to help her, I will be very disappoint."

"Well hey, none of the hurt you've suffered in this episode so far is deserved in any way," Sero replied, "That being said, I bet you'll be avenged somehow and be compensated."

Mineta turned back to face the theater screen, folding his arms over his chest. "You better be right."

Clapping her hands together, Hatsume said, "Great! Now first what I need help with is putting on the finishing touches on one of Power Loader's personal projects that he tentatively gave me permission to help him work on."

"Which would be..." Kirishima said, trailing off in a manner showing that he expected to be filled in.

Hatsume took a sheet off of a very large invention, revealing it to be a large, yellowish metallic robotic automaton roughly fifty percent taller (on average) than the tallest of those among the first year hero course. "Power Loader reconstructed a Dwarven Centurion into real life," replied Hatsume in a casual tone, "He says that it's to help deal with that Argonian fellow that's in the League of Villains."

"I...see," Kaminari replied in an unsure tone, having no idea what to make of how Power Loader had made what seemed to be a new robot to be used for students to fight for training, or deal with one specific member of the League of Villains.

In the audience, Aizawa folded his arms over his chest. "...Power Loader in this realm looks to have been playing too much video games."

Shrugging, Tale said, "Well you still got to admit that having a real life Dwarven Centurion would be pretty ballin'."

Looking at what was going on in the currently playing realm, Kotaro said, "Hoo boy, I hope for Mineta's sake that's not The Forgemaster."

Looking at Power Loader's invention, Sero asked, "So what are we helping you with?"

Holding up a few decal sticker sheets, Hatsume said, "We're just going to apply some decals. It's the only thing that Power Loader says he's willing to let me help with on his newest baby here. Although he didn't refer to his Dwa-" Hatsume stopped short when she slipped and slapped something on the Dwarven Centurion, causing it to turn on.

The guys backed up, scared of what the robot could do. Suddenly, it swung its hammer arm at Mineta, smacking him and sending him flying until he smacked into the wall behind him and the others before falling down into a large trash can. After that, Hatsume was able to turn off the Dwarven Centurion. "Short grape boy! Are you okay?!" Hatsume cried out in worry.

"Is Todoroki's older brother Toya a pro hero?!" Mineta snapped back as he was writhing in pain inside of the trash can.

Turning to face Hatsume, Sero said in a reassuring tone, "Mineta will be fine. He's gotten worse from Bakugo."

Shrugging, Bakugo in the audience said, "Well he's got me there."

"That's twice I was hurt without any conceivable justification," Mineta said while gesturing to the big theater screen, "I had better be compensated!"

Gently shaking his head, Kotaro said, "I hope that Power Loader decides to store that in some Dwemer ruins when he's not using it."

...

After Mineta was cleaned up, he and the boys were back to helping Hatsume. "So what will we be doing now?" Kirishima asked.

Holding up a pair of what looked like Izuku's Air Force Gloves, Hatsume explained, "We'll be organizing some completed projects for people, like these Air Force Gloves that I repaired for Green Bean which were also slightly upgraded. Nothing too dangerous I assure you."

Sighing in relief, Mineta said, "Thank goodness it won't involve crazy robots."

"I agree with the me on screen," Mineta in the audience said, "A break is totally called for."

"And it won't involve crazy robots," Kaminari pointed out.

Izuku sighed in a resigned tone, folded his arms across his chest. Similarly, Power Loader acted in the same manner. "...Since this is Hatsume we're dealing with here..." Izuku began to say.

The boys got to helping Hatsume organize the various orders that were to be handed off to people later. As they all worked, Hatsume found a remote with a single red button on it and no other buttons period. "...Hmm, I wonder what this does..." Hatsume said as she pressed the red button on the remote.

The remote ended up causing a device the size of a microwave to fire a metal plate that smacked into Mineta's side with enough force to fling him until he smacked into the nearest wall in the room, falling down onto the floor after smacking into the wall about six feet above the floor, then continuing to roll until he stopped at Kaminari's feet.

"Dude, he's been knocked unconscious!" Kaminari exclaimed, "We need to take him to see Recovery Girl, stat!" The boys, with Kaminari having picked up Mineta, ran out of the support department, with a worried Hatsume running with them.

"The Hatsume on screen forgot the lesson I teach to my students," Power Loader in the audience said, "If you ever come across a red button and you have no idea what it does, then for the love of Odin do not press it!"

Gesturing to the big theater screen, Aizawa said, "Would it be safe to assume that Hatsume would be punished for harming Mineta here?"

"Oh, the me in this realm better punish the Hatsume here," Power Loader remarked.

...

When Mineta woke up, he was laying in a hospital bed in Recovery Girl's nurse's office, with all of his classmates, plus Aizawa, Recovery Girl herself, Power Loader not in his mech suit, and Hatsume all visiting him. "...How long was I out?" Mineta asked.

"A few hours, if the time Kaminari gave us is accurate," Aizawa replied, "Anyway, Recovery Girl treated you, so you'll be good to go after resting for the night here."

"I'm very sorry about what my student's recklessness had done to you," Power Loader explained, "In addition to grounding her from the workshop for a week, I also contributed a little something to the get well soon gifts on the table beside your hospital bed."

Mineta turned to see that the bedside table did indeed have a load of nice little gifts; mostly foods, although there were a few cards, and one moderately small stuffed bear plushy.

"Wow, they actually care," Mineta in the audience remarked.

"Well despite your history and reputation, you are still a classmate," Mina pointed out dryly.

"So yeah, Mineta," Kaminari began pointing out, "I think you came out on top here."

Mineta, leaning back in his hospital bed, realized that Kaminari had a point; he wasn't up to his usual antics of flirting with the ladies, he was merely running an errand for Aizawa. Also, he did nothing wrong. As such, the person responsible for his physical pain and suffering here had been punished, and Mineta was apologized to and even received some get well soon gifts from some of his peers.

It would seem karma recognized when Mineta was being good. He liked that.

FIN

"About damn time I got some good karma!" Mineta exclaimed.

Gesturing to the big theater screen, Sero said, "Yeah. You being screwed over in this episode had no apparent reason behind it, and you were apologized to and even compensated for it. And the person responsible for your pain was punished."

"He didn't even try bothering Hatsume," Uraraka remarked, "If anything, she was bothering him."

Shrugging, Dabi said, "I guess even the grape boy has a moment or two where he ends on a high note."

END OF CHAPTER

Author's notes;

Originally, I wasn't planning on doing a chapter for this story with Hatsume. However, I got some comments suggesting Hatsume anyway, so I included her for this chapter, showing Mineta doing no wrong but getting hurt anyway, though all of it was on accident, and getting sufficient justice for all of the unwarranted pain that he had gone through. Also the person who caused all of the pain Mineta went through was punished.

Anyway, the next chapter should hopefully be out before long. Take care.
