Chapter 13: Setting Out Again

~JULY 12TH, 2024, 9AM~

Jolanta was napping in one room of a house after breakfast. She then woke up after someone knocked on the door to the room she was in.

"Uhhh… Come in…" Jolanta softly said, tired.

Kwiat opened the door.

"Jolanta, Rostek is back from the hospital." Kwiat said. "He's feeling better, but he was told that his father was critical and he wasn't gonna make it…"

"Jesus..." Jolanta said as she then got up. "I feel sorry for him…"

"I know… Let's give him some time alone…"

"Alright… Can I go back to sleep?"

Kwiat sighed.

"Go do that." She said, "We're not going anywhere, anyways."

Jolanta then falls back asleep.

"Ok then." Kwiat said as she then left Jolanta's room.

~JULY 13TH, 2024, 7:15AM~

Jolanta walks down the stairs to see Rostek as he was eating waffles.

"How are you feeling?" Jolanta asked.

"Fine… I slept well." Rostek replied. "Anyway, Kwiat isn't making breakfast today, so you should make some for yourself. I fed me and my siblings waffles."

"I'll just get myself some cereal…"

~12PM~

Jolanta and Kwiat were sitting on the sofa while Wida and Upio were sitting on chairs in the dining room. Rostek was walking down the stairs to discuss what's going on today.

"Ok… Jolanta, Kwiat, you two are ready, which is good." Rostek said.

"What's going on?" Jolanta asked.

"Basically, we're heading back out to try and stop the leader of The Bad Blood Organization." Rostek replied. "There's a possibility of a route we might go through."

"A route…"

Rostek then looks at his siblings.

"I have someone to come over here to look after you two while me and the girls are gone." Rostek said. "And I don't know how long we'll be able to be out…"

"Who is gonna look after us?" Upii asked.

They heard a knock on the door.

"That must be him." Rostek said as he went over to the front door to open it, revealing a man in his 50s. "Hello there, Walenty. Sorry, I meant to say, Mr. Jamroz."

"Ah… Rostek… It's fine. Now, are your siblings here? I'm gonna be looking after them while you and your friends are gone attempting to do such a dangerous task…" Walenty said.

"They are in this house. There's enough food and other resources for them to survive these days."

Walenty and Rostek went back inside the house.

"Ok, Mr. Jamroz will be looking after you two." Rostek said.

"Fair enough." Wida said.

"So, Mr. Jamroz… Just to be on the safe side: If one of these members of The Bad Blood Organization ever tries to go near, then the three of you can hide in the basement or something."

"Or ignore them, which might help." Walenty said. "You three have these powers that I don't are pretty much good enough to take on The Bad Blood Organization… Best of luck to you three."

"Thanks."

Jolanta and Kwiat got up to meet with Rostek.

"We'll be taking our leave now." Rostek said. "Wida, Upio. Behave, as usual."

"We will." Upio said. "And uh… we'll miss you."

"Don't worry, we'll make it out, if we can…"

"Take care, you three." Walenty said as they all left the house and he turned to Upio and Wida. "You three do whatever until dinner approaches. Just don't screw up around here."

"We won't, sir." Wida said.

"Yes, sir. We won't do anything bad here." Upio said.

Walenty then sat on the sofa.

"Excellent." He said. "If you want, go upstairs and do what you two do. I'll be fine down here."

"Yeah, maybe we should." Upio said as he and Wida went upstairs.

"This is gonna be a long time…" Walenty said.

Outside of the house, Jolanta and Kwiat were following Rostek.

"Where are you taking us?" Kwiat asked.

"So, in order to get to The Bad Blood Organization's main building, there's a subway station that leads us to a checkpoint in Radom." Rostek replied. "Before that, we either take a bus ride or a small train ride to Kielce, which might be the city to find our two other teammates; Zegar and Marcelina. I hope they're ok though. For now, let's head off to Kielce and see what's new."

Everyone nodded as they took off.
