The Third Lostbelt, a pruned world where the Emperor Qin Shi Huang gained immortality and began ruling over his world. Creating a land of peace after year of conquering the rest of the planet. Making a special defense system over the globe, and then freezing the greatest warriors on the event chaos were to arise or some kind of invasion. In this case, the invasion caused by Chaldea.
An organization made to secure the safety of the planet itself. Of Proper Human History.
Meaning these Lostbelts, the 'enemy' of the world, had to be destroyed. Something the Lostbelt King wouldn't have, as he prepared all he could to destroy Chaldea. To secure his world and make it so that his pruned timeline became the true Proper Human History. As such, he would make it so that once he defeated Chaldea, he would go after the other Lostbelts and defeat them.
But it all started to go wrong when Chaldea somehow managed to avoid one of his meteor's Qin Shi Huang sent towards them, after discovering their point of entry. But the Lostbelt King expected that and sent his forces after them. Countless machines while he sent the people in the area away, while he then awakened some of his finest warriors to send them as back-up later.
As for the Cryptor and Xiang Yu, he would send them later on the off chance the first wave failed. They'd go with his warriors while the ruler of the Lostbelt prepared further confrontation.
Suddenly many creatures made of an unknown substance attacked his machines. Not that it mattered to the emperor, as he just got ready to coordinate his machines as he viewed the battle from his body. Then the dark girl lifted her fingers and a purple light glew from it.
Afterwards a beam came and created a massive hole in the center of his vessel which instantly crippled him. Thankfully, he already had a back-up body after examining Akuta. Yet the fact that his Holy Vessel was destroyed like that terrified the emperor as the vessel fell apart and slammed onto the ground as a ruined wreck.
Many hours later, Chaldea had arrived where all his remaining forces were there but only just them. The emperor unable to release the rest of the frozen warriors because of the massive damage done to the functions of his vessel. But those who are awake readied themselves to fight Chaldea.
"Let's just get this over with." The blonde woman then waved her hand and his strongest warriors vanished away like dust. While they returned soon after, his scans showed their entire bodies had been weakened to the point where simply rolling over would have been a challenge.
"Hahahahahahaha!" Qin Shi Huang, in his human form, could only look in horror at what had become of his true body. His Holy Vessel, the body he made after attaining immortality, a vessel that ignored gravity itself, now laid on the ground. Broken, scorched, melted parts all over the place where these revolting creatures known as Grimm ripped it apart, or the remnants anyway as many poked out of the massive hole that had burst through his vessel.
The cause of it all, laughing maniacally as she sat on the top of his former vessel with utter glee. Nearby, his greatest of warriors who had been unfrozen for the battle, on the ground incapable of moving no matter how hard they tried. The woman who caused it just stood there while those like his loyal Qin Liangyu struggled to lift a finger.
"Don't bother." The woman of golden blonde hair told her. "When I disintegrated you and the others and brought you back, I made your muscles highly atrophied. None of you can move an inch."
"Oh. And they call me the cruel one." The dark child then instantly appeared before the golden woman as she also looked down at his warriors with smugness. "Keeping them awake, and taking away their honor to defend their home, how truly cruel you are."
Like so, the Lostbelt King of SIN, had already lost.
'You've gotta be kidding me!' Akuta thought as she saw from a safe distance away. As she saw the emperor unmoving while Chaldea, who had driven safely over without problem, was also clearly surprised by what just happened. The secret vampire unsure what to even do now but hid with her beloved and her Servant at what were clearly two high-level threats.
'According to Wodime, those two had their power sapped by my tree. But…To think they still had this much energy left!?' When the two first arrived, the Cryptor's, Wodime and Daybot, did their best to study them when they came out of nowhere.
Files showed them to be the Brother Gods of Light and Dark. Extraterrestrials from outside their world and likely their very universe. Files on Chaldea indicated the energy they held surpassed the vast majority of living things on the planet and were capable of space flight. In other words, a huge threat to the Alien God and the Cryptors plans. Thankfully, they lost most of their powers after they arrived.
But it seems that just because they only had a fraction of their former powers left, didn't mean they didn't have any at all. Hell, that damn fox booked it when the Holy Vessel had a new hole in it. Something Chaldea were also surprised to see as they saw that after just a few scant hours of being here, the mission was already…done.
"I thought they were weakened?" Ritsuka looked at Da Vinci. "I mean, you even said they couldn't even scratch Tiamat in their current state compared to before."
"Yes, I did say that." Da Vinci nodded while keeping a straight face as best she could.
"Then what the hell did we just see?!" Goredolf shouted as he then pointed to the massive vessel that they learned was Qin Shi Huang's body. "T-The God of Darkness just wiped out the Lostbelt King's body with a single beam!" Not to mention Light incapacitated humans that could rival Heroic Spirits like so.
"Aw, but you forget." Holmes then came in to explain the situation. "While it's true our two allies have lost the majority of their power, remember, they claim they could destroy a planet with ease before." With Dark herself bragging she could crush the moon like so.
"Ah, I see now." Mash then realized what Holmes meant with Da Vinci continuing on.
"Basically put, this is their capability, and just their current capability." It's quite clear that the sisters' ability to destroy planets was gone since their de-power. However, that didn't necessarily mean they were weak either if one compared them to current Servants. While it's unlikely Dark could blow up continents and moons, making a massive beam was easily in their limits.
'Plus,' Da Vinci thought as she overlooked the wreckage of the Holy Vessel. 'Those two are complete unknowns to the Lostbelt King, not to mention they attacked before Qin Shi Huang could even do anything.'
The Lostbelt King of this world, from what they've learned, was a very powerful being. He was immortal, his body could calculate all the way to the level of a God, and they could literally drop meteors from the sky. That wasn't even mentioning the warriors they had on standby, their countless robots, and the insane level of surveillance across the Lostbelt. Scans also showed that their current human body seemed to match a Grand Saint Graph.
But...the second Dark destroyed their main unit out of nowhere, Qin Shi Huang lost because it's unlikely he would ever expect Chaldea to have such power. Or more like, have allies that could produce such power which crippled the Lostbelt King in an instant. Had the emperor been given the time, he probably could have found a way to deal with Light and Dark like so. Heck, if Chaldea didn't have those two then the battle would have been much tougher.
"Well then, it seems this battle is won." Light then came before Chaldea while looking at the slowly dying Tree of Emptiness. "No more trouble should be on its way."
"Oh yeah!" Dark came next as she then gave an entitled look to Chaldea. "In fact, I believe a thank you is in order."
"Uh, yeah, sure." Ritsuka said as she smiled at them. "Thanks for the help. You guys," Ritsuka then looked at the destroyed body and also the destroyed city where she was certain people lived in. "...really damaged the enemy."
"Weakened as we are, we can still wipe out a small city if we wish at our current level." Dark then pushed aside her hair while bragging. Her eyes then looking at the Tree of Emptiness. A spark of glee in her eyes. "And we're about to get stronger."
Holmes said nothing, though a look of worry did come to him. Looking at Da Vinci who also felt the same. Particularly that while having these two at full power would no doubt be very useful…Should they allow them to get that kind of power? After all, they may not be enemies, but friends and true allies, uncertain. Especially in regard to their true goals and what their purpose even is.
"Um, excuse me." Suddenly Everyone saw one of the few remaining Chaldea workers come out of the Shadow Border coming out. Looking slightly nervous but otherwise okay. "Just letting you know; we're still detecting some hostels around."
"Hostiles." Mash lifted her shield. "Where?"
"Over there." Holmes said as he looked to the right, where behind some rubble, three figures came out. Two of them Chaldea didn't know, the last however was recognizable to Da Vinci and Mash.
"A-Akuta!" Mash shouted as the woman hissed with a scowl.
"Mash. And everyone else. Hello." Akuta said though is none too pleased at all. Her eyes looked at the emperor who hadn't really moved much. Probably calculating ways to see if there was even a comeback while also noticing how the remaining robots were digging through the rubble and fighting off Grimm. Not to pick a fight with them of course, but with the robots digging out the trapped humans. Seems even with this massive loss, the emperor cared for his subjects. Not that Akuta cared as she bit her lip.
"Master." Her Servant Saber, one of her few friends, looked at her. "Orders?"
Orders huh. And just what orders could she even give? A look at her beloved, showed him not moving or even talking. Like the emperor, he was also calculating ways to try and fight Chaldea. No, not Chaldea. But those two Outer Gods, with the fearsome fact that he isn't talking because there is no way to win. His own ability to predict the best outcome all likely telling her beloved that victory against those two is impossible.
'Unless…' Akuta then thought of her true form for a bit. Those two were strong, but it's unlikely they could win if she could perhaps utilize her true form. No, more than just that. What if she used the Tree of Emptiness as a booster to inflate her own power?
That would work.
The problem was getting to the damn tree as despite how close it is, she has to get past Chaldea which has those two and a bunch of Servants alongside the Master of Chaldea. All of whom were looking at her. Sighing, she decided to play along.
"Well. it seems you all have come and made quite the mess around here." Akuta said as she walked towards them with Saber and Xiang Yu by her side. "I suppose you must be feeling happy."
Ritsuka narrowed her eyes as she saw Akuta getting closer. She pondered if this was some plan, since Da Vinci mentioned how Team A were the best of the best, meaning Akuta must be wicked strong. "I'll admit, the damage might have been rather…overdone," Dark shrugged with Light not denying it. "But we came here for a reason."
"Ah yes. To destroy this world to bring back your Proper Human History." Akuta snarled as her mind wandered to those loathsome humans. How with very few exceptions, they were nothing more but monsters that took advantage of non-humans. Killing others for gain and demonizing her despite having never done anything to them aside from self-defense. "So, I guess you've decided that killing an entire world is nice and just."
Neither Mash nor Ritsuka could say anything about that. Fully aware that what they were doing, is murder at the end. The murder of an entire timeline that had hopes of living again, only for it to be crashing down when they were done with it. Holmes had something else to say on that matter.
"It's true, all of us are here to prune this world away. Although," Holmes then gave a good look at the Tree of Emptiness. His analytical skills not even needed to tell this thing was dying. "Something tells me that we wouldn't even need to be here to let it fall."
"Scans show your tree is dying." Da Vinci told Akuta with the Lostbelt King also listening as he continued to have his robots evacuate his people. "Because the energy it absorbed is killing it inside out. In time, it'll self-destruct and well…" The entire Losteblt won't just vanish away to the nothingness like the last two. It'll vanish away and then explode which is a major problem since the tree's released energy already surpassed a nuke.
"And I wonder whose fault is that?" Akuta threw a look of accusation at Dark who certainly didn't like the blame being put on her.
"Oh sure. Blame the God of Darkness. Because having the name 'Darkness' makes me at fault." Dark muttered while crossing her arms behind her back.
"Is she…whining?" Ritsuka had to admit, she didn't expect that. Then again, Dark seemed to dislike how people always assumed she was up to something bad based on the literal fact she's supposedly considered a God of Evil. Doesn't help that during their journey, some Servants avoided or showed dislike because of her title, which usually pissed her off.
"But were you not the one who sent the energy into the tree?" Saber then asked with Dark then whistling innocently. Ignoring the fact that she did in fact cause and create what was now a massive bomb.
"Regardless, we're here to take back what's ours." Light then said as she vanished away, and suddenly near the tree. "Besides, it would be a mercy for this one."
"Mercy?" Nezha asked, confused.
"Oh, that." Dark joined her brother, realizing the humans and Servants didn't know. "This thing is technically alive. I mean, it has a soul." Dark then looked at how withered and ugly the tree now looked, seeing the bark falling off like dead skin. "Or what's left of its soul. My energy kinda wrecked it up and now it's living in a lot of pain."
"So that thing is alive?" Meunière wasn't sure if he should feel bad for the tree or not. Because on one hand, this thing wiped out the human world which included his friends and his favorite stores. But considering how it looks now and how the Brothers mentioned it was alive and now living in pain…Well, they did come here to chop it down. Best to give it a mercy kill.
Akuta looked worried now. She needed that energy if she was going to kill them. But before she could do anything, even the Brothers, suddenly one spoke up.
"Why?" It was Qin Shi Huang who asked. Having heard enough and wanted to get to the root of this situation. He walked towards Chaldea and the Brothers, not a hint of fear compared to Akuta. Not even worry, and instead walked with grace and pride as a true emperor should.
Impressed by such image, Light asked, "Why what?"
"Just why are you helping Chaldea?" The emperor asked as he observed Chaldea. Noting how they were strong, but not strong enough to have faced his full might had it just been his empire vs them. But also interested in another matter. "From what I understand, you two don't come from this world at all, correct?"
"Indeed."
"We come from another place."
"I see." Qin Shi Huang nodded. "In that case, this planet's feuds and problems should not truly matter to you. Why, as Gods who hold a different sense of morality, you also shouldn't really care about the battles waged here." All correct.
"You have that right." With Dark outright admitting it. At the end of the day, whether the Lostbelts fail or succeed, Light and Dark didn't give any sympathy for this planet and its people. Oh, sure they might have some feelings of seeing a whole bunch of humans slaughtered, but not enough to make them cry or feel regret for not helping them. There were no attachments here on this planet for them.
"I see." Qin Shi Huang was right on his observation of them, even if just for a bit. The Gods were mighty and powerful, however only a 'broken' God can gain attachments to humanity. True Gods were beyond the understanding of humans, and as such, only a true human like the emperor can lead them where the Gods fail. "In which case, before a final battle, tell us, just why do you help Chaldea?"
The two Gods thought over that for a minute. Looking at one another, and then pondering a bit more. After some time, Dark then just gave a look that was an empty expression. Then saying, "We just came for my Servant and our stolen power."
"..." Silence is then heard with the sound of wind, some Grimm howls, robots fighting, and a few people in the distance shouting. Overall, to say this was a disappointing answer is a massive understatement.
Ritsuka actually felt massive disappointment. I mean, that's why they joined Chaldea again. Not because of some possible comradeship or anything of the like, but just to pick up their Grimmified Servant. Mask herself also looked saddened by such a reason with Qin Shi Huang having thought these two joined Chaldea because of some form of relationship they developed. A special bond of sorts.
But to hear they only came because of such frivolous reasons like this…
"I think we made them upset." Light told Dark who could also sense the sheer disappointment around them.
"Hey, I was just being honest." Not like Dark had any reason to lie. Though for some reason she did feel a bit…guilty? Hm. Maybe it was these human emotions at fault. Dark then saw Ritsuka and Mash's expressions and for some reason felt worse.
"...Wow." Akuta adjusted her glasses. She had to admit, while the two Gods gave their reason, it was a pathetic reason at that. Even she couldn't hide her own discontent at such an answer.
Feeling uncomfortable as well, Light then said to Dark, "We should probably get this over with."
"Agreed." Dark and Light then, in an attempt to get away from the disappointed expressions of Ritsuka and Mash, both turned and placed their hands on the Tree of Emptiness. In that instant, the tree began cracking and yet there also seemed to be some sign of relief as it began falling apart. Everyone watched as the two were absorbing their original power back and extra from the Tree of Emptiness. The transfer would be done in a few minutes, and with it they'd be back to becoming part of some of the most dangerous beings on the earth.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
With her not willing to allow it.
"Oh my gosh! We're gonna die!" One of the staff members from the Shadow Border then shouted. Qin Shi Huang turned, where he then saw something flickering from across the storm that enclosed across his world. His eyes widening as he then saw something bright coming towards his home.
"Oh my. That's not good." Everyone turned and there they then saw a golden light of beauty yet death coming at them from a distance. One that Dark and Light recognized.
"Ah what!" Dark shouted. "That again!"
"Not good." Light said with worry. "A direct hit will wipe us both out." Light then saw Chaldea and a quick calculation also realized Chaldea was also in danger as well. "Everyone in this vicinity is in danger!"
"Impossible." Akuta said with horror. "How is something like that even coming here?" The storms should be keeping everything out. Yet some massively powerful attack is headed their way. One that could destroy not just the entire area they were in…but also her beloved!
"Uh, I don't suppose you have a defense for this?" Ritsuka shouted to Qin Shi Huang who shook his head no.
"We may be capable of creating something if given time and analysis of what that attack is," The light came much closer now and was nearly there. "But in such a timeframe like now, no." Indeed, the attack then burst through, and everyone saw a golden spear ready to kill them all. Just seconds away to reduce them to atoms.
"Hah." Light then sighed knowing what had to be done. Although a quick look at the spear made her wonder one thing. "Do you think-"
"I doubt stopping time would work." Dark interrupted. "Just get this over with." The two had no idea if stopping time would even stop this powerful attack, so the next best thing had to be done. Light quickly absorbed as much power as she could from the tree and then utilized her own power. Unlike Dark who managed to destroy one of the spears, Light had another idea.
"I hope this works." Suddenly, with the power of creation, a massive portal opened up that matched the spear in size. Where the spear then flew into the portal with Light then quickly closing it. The threat was averted.
Crck!
Though at a cost as suddenly, the Tree of Emptiness at last snapped.
"I had hoped that wouldn't have happened." Dark commented with worry as the interruption to transferring the Tree's power to themselves has now made all the energy stored leak. Quickly Dark created a barrier with Light's help for everybody around as the tree cracked further until eventually it did one thing.
Explode.
BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!
The Tree of Emptiness held a will of their own, basic as it is. This one having been 'tortured' ever since absorbing the catastrophic energy from the stars, and in pain ever since. As such, it gladly released all the harmful energy even if it meant death. All the residents of the Lostbelts seeing a great light that erupted from where their great emperor lived in and quickly turning away as the light blinded them.
By the time the light was gone, if anybody was at the epicenter, they'd see nothing but ashes and a massive crater where the home of the emperor is at with everything else wiped out. The former body of the emperor, the buildings, the Grimm, the robots, everything except for those that are alive. There were plenty of people from Chaldea to Qin Shi Huang's own subjects who had been living in the city of course, but only thanks to the two Brothers barriers meaning nobody had actually died with everything all good and well.
"Oh, come on!" Except for the fact that this Lostbelt's fate is now set in stone and that the opportunity for the Brothers to regain their former power is now gone. The barriers going down as Dark grabbed her horns and expression anger.
"It seems we'll have to regenerate our power the long way." Light looked down. Had things gone properly, then they would be at full power. Instead, because of whoever sent that spear, they lost their chance to become their old selves and would have to regain their power through who knows how many years.
However, at least they were alive. Though not without worry and panic as Da Vinci and Holmes knew what needed to be done. Particularly, with figuring out where that spear came from and who sent it. Although Holmes believed he already knew they why.
'That attack,' Holmes looked at where the Brothers were, as they both were lamenting the loss of all their power. Having only gained a small fraction that put them at city level. 'It was not only aimed at them, but also timed to kill them before they gained even more power.'
From a pragmatic standpoint, it made sense. While far from being the most powerful, if allowed access to their old power, the Brother Gods would not only be some of the strongest on earth, but also the most troublesome to certain individuals. Such as, say, the Cryptor's or those allied with the Alien God. Meaning whoever sent that spear, did it to snub out a potential problem that could mess with the enemy's plan.
'And maybe it's for the best.' Holmes thought for reasons of his own.
In any case, the damage is now done. The Lostbelt, with its Tree of Emptiness gone and cut, will eventually fade away to the nothingness. The Brother Gods were also now officially confined on earth, as their chance to gain their power and likely leave is out. All in all, the mission was done and finished with. Except for one problem.
"So." Ritsuka then said aloud in front of everyone. "I guess we all fight or something? Or should we call it a day?" In front of their enemies.
The Lostbelt King who still had a powerful human form.
Akuta and her Servant Saber, who likely could kick ass.
Not to mention Berserker who looked terrifying.
Chaldea is also still their enemy, and as such it'd make sense if they all fought. Especially Qin Shi Huang, who lost everything because of the Brothers, who are loosely allied with Chaldea. Meaning things will end in a brawl if they all start a fight. Just a matter of who started it, with the one to break this silence being the emperor. Stepping forward he looked at Chaldea, then at all of his subjects who had been thankfully protected, then at last where the Tree of Emptiness once was at.
"I believe," He began with Chaldea gulping. Wondering how this will end. "That there is no need to fight."
"Phhhh." One of the emperor's generals, some guy in a blue shirt and metal helmet, spat out in shock. Not that Chaldea didn't feel the same with Akuta as well. Though naturally, the emperor had his reasons.
"My holy vessel is gone, and more importantly the Tree of Emptiness is wiped. Which means, if what I'm told is true…" Qin Shi Huang looked saddened for a moment, at the dark realization of what is to be. "Then my world will be pruned. All of us."
"...it is." Ritsuka…looked down with regret and remorse. She had the determination and will to keep going, to save the Proper Human History. The world where she was born from. Yet that didn't make what she had to do any better.
"Then, in time my people will be wiped out of existence. As such while this isn't the ending I had hoped for or imagined…It is one I must accept." While far from pleased, the emperor of the Chinese Lostbelt had acknowledged what was to be. Funny. He had been so eager when he learned the truth of what his world really was, and while upset that his beautiful empire had been pruned, their home had been revived. Meaning a chance to start again and ensure his empire, his wonderful home and all its citizens, could come to life.
Akuta gritted her teeth.
She didn't give a damn about the pruning effect, the deaths of these people, or Proper Human History in general. What she cared about was that with the Tree of Emptiness gone, it meant her husband would be subjected to the nothingness like everyone else. Saber saw his Master's look, it was the look of hate and anger. Of someone who had nothing left to lose at all.
Xiang Yu also saw this. He quickly stood in front of her to calm her down, not wanting her to get hurt. Not wanting her to suffer. Even if he was a different variant than the one, she met and knew, he had begun having the same feelings as his Proper Human History self. As such, the Berserker didn't wish for his beloved Akuta to feel any more pain. Which means he needed to ensure she didn't fight, otherwise…She may live on in continuous suffering, which he refused to let happen.
Ritsuka felt tense. She saw Akuta and knew that the Cryptor was mad. And sure, while Qin Shi Huang said he wouldn't fight, what about all the other people around who probably wants their heads after what they did. Was there nothing they could do to change this situation?
Meanwhile, the Brother Gods were sitting down, mulling over how they were now trapped here on earth.
"We can still teleport," Light said as she created a small portal. "But not enough to travel through the different dimensions and timelines."
"Which means we're stuck on this mudball until we can generate our former glory." Too bad that'll take centuries! "So, I suppose we're stuck with Chaldea, yes?"
"Would they even want us?" Light then questioned. "I mean, we did just admit we had no real intention of sticking by them and only came for our own reasons." Dark felt a bit of guilt at that. Because yeah, they came not to help Chaldea at all, but for their own selfish reasons. Naturally there wasn't anything inherently wrong with this, as ultimately in the end neither of the two Brothers had any responsibility for the wellbeing of this planet. But seeing that girl, Ritsuka's expression…
"Mmmm…Maybe we should do them a small favor." Dark then snapped her fingers. "We do something nice for them, and they let us stay with them."
"Plus, we did help them with this Lostbelt just now." Light added on, already liking the idea. "And by sticking with them we not only aid them out as we once did before with our creations, but also find another chance to regain our power." The Chaldeans did mention there were more than just one Lostbelt. "But what to do?"
Dark looked down where she saw Chaldea facing off against their enemies. But also noticed how sad Ritsuka looked and wasn't sure why. A quick look in the past-since she hadn't been paying attention to their talking-showed why she was upset. "Huh. Then without that tree everyone goes poof."
"They did mention that and were quite upset about killing these people. Especially since the Tree of Emptiness is the only thing keeping them from vanishing back to non-existence." Light explained.
"Hm." Dark then realized. "Wait. As in, their entire existence? Or just everything but their souls." Usually attacks of the physical worlds and like just get rid of the body, letting the soul go to either the afterlife or reincarnate. Making the souls in some ways, the only immortal things within the world unless the soul is specifically attacked and destroyed.
"Their souls should be safe." Light's eyes glow, as she looks at the souls of the Lostbelt inhabitants. Even that robotic freak centaur had a soul. "Those trees brought them back, and while it'll take them away, the souls will remain but go to the Root until eventually they're recycled and reincarnated but without memory as per the usual for souls that are reincarnated."
"Interesting." Dark then overlooked the Lostbelt and all its citizens. An idea then came to mind, as Dark realized while it's impossible to do this with all, a good amount can be done. But…they'd need something to help them out. Something with a good amount of power. Dark then found her answer. "Get your Relic." She then told Light who was confused.
"Excuse me?"
"Your little staff." Dark told her. "Bring it here." Light then understood what Dark meant and nodded. Instantly she raised her hand and popping out of thin air was a familiar item she had given to Remnant so long ago.
"This should do the trick, although," Light then began altering the Staff of Creation. Changing a few of its original core rules. "There. That should do it." Now to give their explanations to Chaldea and properly this time.
"Hey, morons!" Dark then called out to everyone as she then grabbed her brother's staff like it was her own. "If you're done glaring at one another, we have a solution to your little ret-con problem."
"Excuse me?" Qin Shi Huang tilted his head. Not sure if he even believed what he heard with everyone else being the same. Especially Chaldea when they heard those words.
"To explain," Light then spoke loudly so everyone could hear. "You all, who are born in the Lostbelt, will now cease to be since the Tree of Emptiness is gone." It was after all, the keystone that held this pruned timeline in place. "However, it seems a new solution can be found thanks to the fact that your souls should still remain, even after the erasure wipe."
Ritsuka's eyes widened, as she then remembered what a certain ally said a while ago. A Servant who believed that the souls of those within the Lostbelts wouldn't vanish as believed, but instead be reborn one day. While Ritsuka didn't exactly agree with it, she didn't deny it either. Suddenly, Dark threw the Staff of Creation at Qin Shi Huang who caught it. Just feeling it made the Ruler-Class Servant realize this staff was not a normal one, with the power radiating from it made him understand this was something else.
"That holds one of my creations." Light told him, describing what the item could do. "It'll call upon a servant of ours, who will create anything you ask so long as you describe how to make it and can only make one creation at a time. Though I got rid of that last rule."
"Which means I could create bodies for my subjects and transfer their souls into the new ones. Thus, ensuring those bodies won't vanish while their old ones do." Qin Shi Huang said with a smile on his face. Even if the emperor managed to do something similar in this Lostbelt, it'd just fade away as the materials and methods came from this Lostbelt, thus subject to vanishing away. But this staff can bypass that and create new material that isn't part of the Lostbelt, thus it won't vanish.
Ritsuka and Mash looked at each other. They couldn't even believe what they were hearing, yet here it is. A way to save these people from being wiped away, giving them a new chance at life. Granted, one might argue on how one makes a human body, but the emperor had long figured out how a body works from the brain to the muscles. Creating a blueprint for the body is child's play.
As for Akuta, she choked a little. Because this meant a chance for her beloved Xiang Yu to be kept alive and not vanish away at all. Which means, they could be together. She had to stop herself from crying a little. Though her Servant, Saber, the Prince of Lan Ling, smiled for his beloved friend.
Qin Sin Huang's generals also looked just as pleased, realizing that maybe they and the people they swore to protect won't die in vain now.
"Yes. Thank us!" Dark declared as she smirked with Light also smiling. "We just found a way to help you peons from vanishing into the void."
"Yeah." Ritsuka then said as she looked at the two of them. I have to admit, this is…Really nice of you two. Thank you." Ritsuka then gave them a smile of gratitude.
"..."
"..."
Both Brothers then saw that smile, and for the smallest of moments both slightly blushed.
"Y-yes." Light composed herself quickly. "It is only natural that Gods help out humans in times of need."
"Ahem. yes. Very true." Dark added. Looking away from Ritsuka momentarily while ignoring the joy her human heart was giving her. "Now you fools can't say I'm evil just because of my title and name."
"Very true." Mash smiled as well.
Qin Shi Huang just looked at the staff, glad there was a way to rebuild everything and save the people. Although, there was a problem he could see. "As incredible as this is, what of land?" He turned to Chaldea. "I imagine that once you repair Proper Human History, then the land of the bleached earth will return, giving us no home."
"That's true." Da Vinci agreed with that statement. As happy as she is that the people of this Lostbelt can be spared from vanishing, it didn't change the fact that when Chaldea restored the human order, the former land will return. Meaning there might be little to no space for all the people of this Lostbelt at all. They would need another place to stay.
"Well, no need to worry about this now." Holmes calmly told everyone. "It'll still take time to deal with all these threats and restore the Human Order. As such, we should consider where to take you elsewhere another time." Another place huh. Dark and Light then thought of a certain world they abandoned…then decided to forget it for now. Like Holmes said, they had all the time to think about this later.
"So, then I guess everything is good." Ritsuka then turned to Akuta. "What do you say?"
Akuta frowned, but she crossed her arms and just huffed. "Well…My job was to just expand this Lostbelt. But since it's done for, I have no reason to fight you." Akuta then looked at Xiang Yu, who looked back at her where she blushed. "I'll just stay here I guess since I have nothing better. Unless you have a problem with tha?"
"Nope." The Master of Chaldea gave a thumbs up. "No problem at all." Akuta, for a moment, gave the smallest of smiles, before she then turned and began walking away with her friend and beloved following close behind her.
"I suppose I must get the blueprints ready." Qin Shi Huang then also began to walk away as well while holding the Staff of Creation. "I have many bodies to make, and a Holy Vessel to rebuild." Thank goodness he memorized all the functions and blueprints of his wonderful body. And if this staff can truly make anything, then he'll be done before the day is over with just the transferring of souls to their new bodies taking time.
"Just letting you know; we'll be needing that staff back later." Light calls out to the Lostbelt King who nods. He'll easily finish his work long before Chaldea even gets to the next Lostbelt. Satisfied, Light and Dark then teleported to Chaldea's Shadow Border, where the two found themselves somewhat accepted.
While the Servants didn't seem to really trust them after declaring why they really joined up with Chaldea, essentially on a whim, Ritsuka and Mash on the other hand seemed glad to see them. Actually, showing gratitude for their actions. Gratitude…How long has it been since someone showed that, instead of demanding or pleading them for something?
Regardless, everyone soon was entering back in the border while their former enemies were no doubt about to get busy with the Staff of Creation. However, just before The Brother Grimm entered the Shadow Border, for one moment they felt something.
Bloodlust.
It vanished just as quickly, and as such the two decided it must have been their imagination. Before the doors closed, Mash then asked, "Oh. I just remembered. Where did you teleport that attack?"
"Fou. Fou." The small former Beast also was interested.
"Yes. That." Light then recalled. "Well, it was easy. I sent it to-"
No.
This will not do.
However, it also expected this as well.
It knew that there was a possibility that Foreigners or Outer Gods may come to earth, ruining its plan.
That's why the Alter-Ego's were here. As they had what human gamers might call, 'Class Advantage' against those beings from the outer realms. These two were especially troublesome, as observation showed they were similar to the Greek Gods and held their own Authorities but were heavily weakened. Still, at their current energy levels show they can wipe a city or two if they unleashed all they had in their current state.
It also learned there was someone that could launch powerful attacks towards the other Lostbelts. Why, that teleported spear made quite the crater on the moon with it being visible. Very interesting.
While it would attempt to see who did this and where they were, at the very least they stopped those two from attaining their full power. But still, it must be ready as they clearly showed interest in attaining their former power by absorbing the ambient energies around them. Particularly, the Trees of Emptiness.
"Go and deal with them." In an inhumane voice, the Alien God then sent a message to one of its disciples. To cull those two, or perhaps capture them and maybe use them to perhaps gain a stronger body. This Staff of Creation gave the Alien God interest in its capabilities.
Either way, with this the plan resumed onwards.
This will probably be my last freebie chapter and I'll go back to my normal schedule since I'm going back to work soon. Moving on, I'll say this much now. The Brothers are NOT invincible.
To explain, when I battled against the other Lostbelt Kings I pondered how the Brothers would fare against them. Now, just saying it here these are my opinions, so while I'm just as likely to be wrong, this is so there are no flames or someone complaining that I'm bias or whatever. These are just my interpretations and as such, aren't absolute.
Ivan: They'd win since they could just blow up his literal weak spot on that mammoth of his. Though in terms of physical strength, Ivan would crush them like a grape.
Skadi: My viewpoint is who strikes first. I mean, she knows instant death attacks, but so do they. Both sides also have an army, though hers are actually intelligent (Valkyries). So, I give it a seventy (Skadi)-thirty (Brothers) chance of victory.
Qin Shi Huang: Their win. As cool as Ruler is, he doesn't show much supernatural powers aside from the mercury thing and his main threat was how scary he is when he prepares. The Brothers gave him no time to prepare, but if he did have that time, this chapter would have been a different story. Dude managed to seal Vitch, I bet he could have done the same to them.
Arjuna Alter: They stand no chance. Good thing they can teleport away.
Zeus: They're dead. The only thing that'll save them, is Zeus's interest in their creation powers.
Morgan: Unless they do something to satisfy her, she'll torture them and then give them a gruesome demise. Especially Dark.
Moving on the brighter side of things, while the Lostbelt is done for, thanks to a loophole found the inhabitants of the Lostbelts can be saved thanks to none other than the Staff of Creation and can be used to create new bodies for the people. Meaning they CAN be saved and is easier than resurrecting them. Heck, Akuta herself is also just as pleased. This will change the Lostbelt's inhabitants' fate…except for number six. Screw those jerks!
Where Ritsuka gives a smile that shakes them both while making them a bit more human. If she can get the evil aligned Servant to like her, then I imagined she can do the same with them. Such a shame this just put a target on their backs as the Alien God has had enough meddling. Yet just as much, it seems it might use them as well.
