Part 2: Meetings and final battle
In the sabaody archipelago the pirates who had come to sign up for the fake straw hats looked shocked by the scene in front of them. "Just what is that guy," one of them said looking at Dark. With just one blast he took out multiple marines including captain Sentomaru.
"Things just got a whole lot interesting," said captain Caribou.
Over with Luffys group, "How this guy know who we are?" Luffy asked looking confused.
"Whoever he is hes stopping us from reuniting with our crew," said Zoro reaching for his swords before Star put his right hand in front of him.
"Hes mine," he said slowly walking forward but looked like he was struggling to keep on standing.
"Ill admit this battle will be a bit disappointing," Dark said happily while Star and Hermione looked at him annoyed. "Both me and Hermione were removed, along with the awakening I'd be surprised if you even have the strength to remove a small rock," he said.
"With all due respect hes got a point," Rayleigh said. "You've obviously seen better days, so take your wife and go," he said.
"You're his wife," Sanji said looking at Hermione who nodded as she held up her left hand. Revealing her wedding and engagement rings.
"I noticed, so you've got something more important to protect," Rayleigh said before pointing his sword forward. "Why don't you let me take care of him," he said.
"Fighting the former pirate kings right hand man," Dark said as a large sword appeared in his right hand. "This should be fun," he said before moving so fast no had the time to blink.
"Damnit," Rayleigh thought before Star appeared in front of him. His body covered in a bright blue light as he blocked the dark sword with his bare arms.
"What do you know you have some strength left in you after all," said Dark before sounding surprised as Star kicked the sword out of his hand.
"Ahhh," Star screamed punching Dark right in the face. The force of the punch sent him flying into one of the large trees causing smoke to shoot up.
"Whoa," Sanji said.
"He's strong," said Zoro looking at Star as the bright blue light stopped covering his body. He was gasping for air when someone called out from above. "Luffy, you guys," he said. Luffy, Zolo and Sanji looked up to see their ships Doctor Chopper the reindeer. He was riding on what looked like a giant bird.
"Chopper," Luffy said looking excited.
"What are you doing here?" Zolo asked.
"Everyone but you guys and Brook are waiting at the Sunny," said Chopper before looking at the destruction in front of him. "Whats going on," he said.
"These three people came out of nowhere like a storm," said Luffy.
"Rayleigh," said Star getting everyones attention. "I appreciate the offer, but this monster took almost everything from me," he said.
"I have to be the one to take him out," he said looking serious.
"Heaven," Hermione said before hearing a small explosion. They looked to see Dark jumping out of the crater.
"Hes still standing," Sanji said looking annoyed.
Dark then looked at Chopper who looked afraid from his stare. "I wont let any of you escape," he said before a firing blast of dark energy at the bird.
"Chopper," the straw hats called out before Star jumped in the way again. He now had his own large sword. The handle was black with a trigger attached. Above the trigger was two switches. One in the shape of a lighting strike and the other with three letters above it. S K and R. The blade was large with it ending in a point on the right side.
Engraved on the swords blade was its name. Excalibur. He blocked the blast with the flat side of his sword and sent it flying into the air. "Your fights with me Dark," Star said looking angry as the light stopped covering his body and he took a breath.
"Fine, but when you eventually pass out I'm going for them and the rest of their crew next," Dark said making the straw hats looking annoyed.
"Why you," Luffy said looking angry before Zolo stopped him from moving. "Zolo what are you doing," he said looking annoyed.
"The guy saids hes got this so leave it to him," Zolo said. "Cook lets get moving," he said.
"Yeah got it," said Sanji grabbing his bubble bags filled with supplies for the ship.
"Straw hat Luffy," said Star getting the pirates attention.
"Yeah," Luffy said.
"I'm in no position to ask you a favor," Star said. "But would you mind letting me and my wife travel on your ship so that we can reach the new world," he said.
"Yeah of course," Luffy said making him look surprised. "You protected my crew so of course ill help," he said.
"Don't worry ill keep Hermione safe," Sanji said.
"Zolo make sure he doesn't do anything," Star said calmly while Zolo laughed while Sanji looked shocked.
"Yeah you got it," Zolo said before Hermione ran up to her husband and kissed him on the lips. She pulled away, "I just got you fully, so you better make it back," she said.
"You can count on it," Star said before looking serious as he wrapped his arm around his wife and blocked Darks sudden slash. Dark then jumped back.
"Don't worry I haven't forgotten you ms Star," he said happily. The bright blue light covered Stars body as two objects appeared in a flash. It was a small sword in a sheathe along with a black wand with the same switch as Excalibur. Star then took something off from around his neck and placed it along with the other two in Hermiones hands.
Hermione looked at the thing he took off from around his neck. It was a silver ring attached to a black string. "Looks like we have other company," Rayleigh said pointing at the large group of marines heading towards them.
"Ill keep them busy," said Rayleigh said. "Can't have them attack my student when hes about to set off," he said smiling. Star nodded at him before Hermione ran towards the large bird that landed on the ground.
"Hey are you okay?" Chopper asked looking at Hermione.
"Yeah," she said as Luffy, Sanji and Zolo got on as well.
"Will see you on the sunny," Luffy said looking at Star who gave him a thumbs up. As the bird took off Star looked back at Dark as he held Excalibur with both of his hands.
"Now lets get started," Dark said before the two of them ran at each other. The bright blue light covered Star body as their sword clashed sending out massive shockwave that sent most of the nearby pirates flying.
Over on the thousand Sunny, the ship belonging to straw hat pirates. The crew members Nami, Nico Robin, Cyborg Franky and Usopp were waiting. They were currently looking in the direction where Star and Darks battle was ongoing. They had started looking when they heard what sounded like a storm.
"What was that," said Usopp looking surprised.
"It doesn't make any sense, the weathers too clear for a storm," Nami said looking confused. They then heard the sound a familiar crewmate.
"Yohoho, hello down there," said Brook who was being given a lift by the flying fish pirates. The talking skeleton landed on the ship as the flying fish riders left.
"Hey Brook your back," said Usopp looking happy.
"So you came back after all," Franky said since he heard Brook had become a rock star during the last two years.
"It makes me happy to see all of you again, am I the last to arrive," said Brook.
"Were just waiting on Luffy, Zolo and Sanji, Chopper went out to look for them," Nami said.
"My you two have grown quiet beautiful since I last saw you," Brook said looking at Robin and Nami. "In fact," he said before sitting on the barrel and pulled the strings on his guitar.
"Oh song time already," Usopp said smiling as they all got ready to listen.
Brook stopped pulling the strings when, "Please let me see your panties," he said.
"No way," Nami said punching the skeleton in the head and sent him crashing to the ground. "I didn't show you for the last two years, so why would I show you now," she said before hearing a familiar male voice speak up above them.
"Hey, you guys," Luffy said from on top of the bird. The straw hats smiled seeing the rest of their crew mates and their captain.
"Hey," Nami said waving.
"Luffy," Brook said.
"Were all finally back together again," Usopp before looking confused. "Wait theres someone else with them," he said noticing Hermione.
"Hey your right," said Franky noticing her as well.
The bird landed on the ground with the passengers getting off. "Hey everyone," Luffy said smiling.
"Luffy who's the young woman with you," said Usopp.
"This is," Sanji began to say before noticing Robin and Nami and how much they had changed. He then bled out of his nose that sent him flying into the air and towards the water.
"What," Chopper said looking surprised before noticing Sanji was flying in the air. He looked to see Hermione pointing her wand at him and she lifted him back onto the ship.
"Trust me Chopper you wouldn't blame him if you knew where he was for the last two years," said Hermione before putting her wand away. She then attached her sword to her shorts.
"My names Hermione Star," she said.
"Her and her husband are joining up with us," Luffy said smiling making most o the crew look surprised.
"Wait what?" Usopp said looking surprised.
"It looks like we already have new crew mates," Robin said smiling.
"Hang on Luffy her husband just asked us to bring them to the new world," Zolo said calmly.
"Oh, what are you guys going to do when you get there?" Luffy asked Hermione.
"Not sure, honestly he was probably more focused on getting us out of here," Hermione said before a smile appeared on her face. "But if you asked him to join your crew theres no doubt that he wouldn't say no," she said.
"Alright," Luffy said cheering.
"Here we go," Nami said before they all heard a loud bang.
They looked in its direction, "What was that," Franky said.
"Dark and Heaven are still fighting," Hermione said as she gripped then necklace in her hand.
"Hey whats that book in your hand," Chopper said pointing at the book in her free hand. Hermione looked surprised when she noticed she had never let go of the volume of one piece she had been reading earlier.
"Uh that's a long story," she said smiling nervously before they heard another bang. All around the Saboady Archipelago the people and Marines were running from the ongoing battle.
Star and Dark were now flying in the air as the their swords kept clashing. Star was then kicked in the stomach and he was sent flying into one of the large trees. The bright blue light stopped covering his body before Dark hit him. The bright blue light covered him in time so he wouldn't be wounded. But the tree felt the force of the attack and it sent Star flying through.
"Uhh," Star said as he landed on a roof. He then looked shocked at the tree began to fall and it was heading towards a crowd of people. "No," he said before noticing Dark flying right towards him.
Star looked serious as the bright blue light covered his body. He made Excalibur vanish and sent a blast of energy into Darks chest that sent him flying into another tree. Then with as much strength as he gathered he jumped towards the falling tree. He then caught it with his two hands and struggle with the weight.
"RUN," he yelled at the civilians. They quickly ran way screaming as Star noticed flying right towards him.
"Your to weak to win Star, you lose," Dark said bringing his sword back.
"I wont let you win," Star said as he swung the tree at dark like a batt. Dark dropped his sword as he was sent flying into the air. Star send a blast of energy at the sword and destroyed it completely. He then flew after Dark who blocked his right punch and went to kick him.
But Star blocked his kick with his right leg that sent out another shockwave. Dark then went to punch him but Star grabbed his fists with his hands. "Ahh," Star said as he began to be pushed down.
"Damnit, I cant keep it up much longer," he thought when Dark spoke up happily.
"Looks like the navy's getting close, looks like I might not have to kill them after all," he said. Star noticed the navy ships getting closer to the Sabaody Archipelago. But Dark used this chance to kick Star in the stomach. The bright blue light stopped covering his body as Dark grabbed him by his neck.
"You should have never have that power," he said before throwing him in a certain direction. The straw hats then looked surprised when something crashed into the ground behind them.
"Heaven," Hermione called out to her husband. He struggle to climb out of the crater.
"I can barely stand anymore," he thought before looking up and seeing Dark flying above them.
"That's it," said Luffy walking over to the other side of the ship.
"Ill get you all eventually," said Dark.
"Just what the hell is that thing," Franky said looking surprised.
"It looks human but it's completely covered in darkness," Robin said.
"It can fly," Chopper said looking surprised.
"Well I guess I theres no trouble in telling you who iam," Dark said. "I was created as a serum to stop a certain power from awakening," he said. "But there was more to it, the power came from something that was alive but with no emotion," he said.
"That was a star that was born when the world was born," said Dark making the straw hats look surprised.
"But he looks so young," Luffy said before Robin spoke up.
"The star merged with his body didn't it," said Robin.
"Correct, when he was just a baby he almost died but the merging with the power saved him," Dark said.
"But doctors discovered the power and decided to block it," he said.
"But why did they block the power if it saved him," said Chopper.
"Because the power has more then one ability," said Dark. "The one ability that made them want to lock it away was the power to destroy an entire world," he said. The Straw hats looked surprised and Hermione clenched her fists. It was because of that serum she couldn't be there for Star.
"Did they know," Robin said looking down.
"Robin," Zolo said looking confused before the Archaeologist looked up with a serious look on her face.
"Did they know he would destroy the world if he used his power?" She asked.
"They couldn't take that risk," Dark said.
"SHUT UP," Hermione shouted and the straw hats looked to see there were tears in her eyes. With her fist clenched her sides.
"Hermione," Star said.
"He wouldn't have don't it and he knows it was humans who were responsible for putting you in him," she said. "Even after everything they did to him all he wanted was to help people with his power," she said rubbing her eyes.
"His power shouldn't have existed in the first place," Dark said.
"YOU BASTARD," Luffy shouted before jumping into the air. He blew air into his right hand where it grew and turned black. "Gum gum, elephant gun," he said punching Dark and sent him flying into a nearby tree.
"Way to go Luffy," Sanji said before a dark beam of energy shot out of the tree. The straw hats watched completely shocked as the beam shot right through their captains right shoulder.
"LUFFY," the straw hats, Hermione ad Star shouted.
"Ahh," Luffy screamed as he fell to the ground clutching his shoulder.
"So much for the future king of the pirates," Dark said before shield his eyes as a bright blue light shined in front of them.
"You," Star said angrily as he stood. "YOU MONSTER," he yelled as bright blue beam of energy shot up from his body as he was covered in it. Shooting right into the sky and everyone around the Sabaody Archipelago could see it.
Star then held up his left arm. "DRAG BOOSTED GEAR," he yelled as his left arm glowed. His left hand now looked like a dragons but there was large blue orb on the back of his hand.
He then aimed his hand right at Dark and opened all his fingers. A small orb of blue energy began to appear. "Full potential," he said with his whole body covered in a bright blue light. The orb grew massive in size and Star punched it. Everyone looked surprised when it vanished.
"Hahaha, theres no way you would have hit me anyway," Dark said as blue beam of energy stopped.
"Not yet," Star thought but then he began to fall over before someone caught him. He looked to see it was Luffy who despite his pain was smiling.
"Lets take this guy out together buddy," he said.
Star looked surprised but smiled as well. "I'm a little weak right now, mind aiming my right arm at this asshole," he said.
"Yeah," Luffy said pointing Stars right arm at Dark.
"Removing light, BLASTER," Star said yelling the last word. A giant beam of blue energy shot from his hand and headed right towards Dark.
"Ha, ill just," Dark said before the sky above the entire archipelago glowed blue. Dark then looked flying at him was the blast Star had punched earlier. Like with the beam of energy the blast could be seen all around the Saboady archipelago. Along with the people on the navy ships and the members of the Kuja pirates.
"He didn't vanish it, he just teleported it somewhere," said Dark before he noticed the blast of energy was right in front of him.
"NOOO," he screamed as the blast hit him and clashed with the other blast. Creating a massive bright blue explosion and destroying Dark completely. Leaving nothing behind before the blast cleared up. Some of the top of the trees were gone making sun light shine down on the straw hat pirates.
"We won," Luffy said before feeling a hand on his wounded shoulder. It was Star and when he moved his hand away the pain was gone. Along with the wound and the hole in his shirt.
"Its finally over," Star said as the bright blue light stopped covering his body. He began to fall over before this time someone else caught him. He was put lying on the ground and he then noticed he was lying down on Hermiones lap.
"Hey," he said smiling as she smiled at him with tears in her eyes.
"You did really well," she said before kissing him on the forehead.
"Luffy," the straw hats said rushing over to their captain.
"Your shoulder," Nami said looking surprised.
"Its like the wound never even happened," Chopper said looking surprised.
"Sorry Chopper," Star said getting his attention. "I had to heal the wound myself, I hope your not mad," he said.
"No, but you look completely exhausted," Chopper said before noticing his left arm. "Is your arm okay," he said.
"Yeah ill take care of it after I take a quick nap," Star said smiling.
"Sounds like you'll fit in the crew perfectly," Usopp said smiling making him look confused.
"What," he said.
"I told them you wouldn't mind joining their crew," Hermione said making him look surprised.
"So what do you say," Luffy said holding out his right hand. "Want to join up with us," he said.
Star looked at the rest of the straw hats who smiled at him. He then looked up at his wife who nodded at him with a smile. Star then looked at his new crew with tears in his eyes as he smiled.
He then grabbed Luffys hand with his right hand. "Sounds like fun, pirate king, but you gotta let my wife join too," he said.
"Of course," Luffy said as the two of them laughed. It was on the Sabaody Archipelago that the straw hat pirates had recruited two new members.
