Part 3: To Fishman island
The silence from the end of the battle was then broken from cannon balls hitting the water in front of the sunny, "It's the navy," Usopp said looking surprised at the navy ships sailing towards them.
"We still need to get the coating over the ship, Luffy we need to go," Nami said looking at her captain.
"Right," he said before noticing Star struggling stand on his two legs, "Hey," he said as Hermione tried to keep him standing.
"Here let me help," Sanji said putting Stars left arm over his shoulder. "Can't have you passing out before we set sail," he said smiling.
"Wait wheres your sword," Zolo said looking around for Excalibur.
"Its safe, ill explain later," he said before Zolo put his right arm over his shoulder. The crew quickly ran onto the ship with Zolo and Sanji putting Star on the bench near the stairs. Hermione sat down next to him and rested his head on her shoulder.
Brook and Zolo got ready to unfold the sails when they heard the cannon balls stop firing. "Wait whats going on," Chopper said before they noticed another ship pull in front of the marine ships. Being pulled by two large sea snakes.
"Hey what are you doing, your in our way," said the marine commander on the leading ship.
"No it is you who put your ship in my way," said The warlord Boa Hancock. She along with the rest of their crew were blocking the marines from reaching the sunny. "Nows your chance Luffy," she said winking in the direction of the sunny.
"Wait that flag, that belongs to the kuja pirates," Robin said looking surprised.
"Who," Nami said.
"Their lead by one of the seven warlords of the sea, Boa Hancock said to be the most beautiful woman in the world," she said.
"Whoa let me see," said Usopp rushing over to the side of the ship with telescope. "Whoa shes a goddess," she said.
"What let me see," said Sanji grabbing the telescope and looking through it. "Where are you my goddess," he said looking at the ship and caught sight of her face. He then froze up as if he had turned to stone.
"Hes hard as a rock," Usopp said when Luffy walked over to the side as well.
"Hey I thought Hancock wasn't coming, guess she saw that big explosion earlier," Luffy said making his crew mates look confused while Hermione just watched them.
"Wait you know her?" Nami asked.
"Yeah after Kuma sent me flying I ended up on Amazon lily," said Luffy making Usopp look surprised.
"Wait you mean the island with only women living on it," Usopp said before Sanji grabbed the captain by the front of his vest with tears of jealousy coming out of his eyes.
"Come clear right now you jerk, you haven't been really training for the last two years have you," he said.
"Well of course I was what else would I be doing," Luffy said smiling while Sanji fell to the ground still crying.
"Its not fair," he said.
After Sanji got up they all stood ready. "Alright we ready to set sail Nami," Luffy said.
"Just give the word captain," Nami said before looking at Star and Hermione. "You still awake?" She asked.
Star just gave everyone a thumbs up while smiling. "I think hes good to go," Hermione said smiling before Luffy turned to the rest of the crew.
"Alright everyone, first of all I'd like to thank you for putting up with my selfish reasons for the last two years," he said. Despite being separated for two years the crew just smiled from their captains words.
"Its not like anything new to us," Usopp said.
"Alright lets set sail," Luffy said as Zolo and Brook unfurled the sails and the ship was covered in the coating.
"Their getting away, you have to move now," said the marine on the leading ship.
"Silence," Hancock said.
"Whatever you say," some of the marines said being amazed by her beauty.
"Alright, to Fishman island," Luffy said as the whole crew cheered before the sunny went underwater. Heading to Fishman island.
Back on the Sabaody Archipelago Sentomaru along with several other marines were being bandaged up from being hit by Darks explosion. "Careful," he said before looking at the transporter snail to make his report.
"Straw hat Luffy along with the entire crew are still alive, but there was another complication," he said.
"Three individuals popped out of nowhere from some kind of storm, two of them fought and the one covered in darkness was wiped out completely by the one covered in light," he said before groaning in pain as the bandage was finished being put on.
"There was a good amount of destruction caused by the battle, some of them mangroves were badly damaged from the last blast," he said.
"But we were able to capture the fake straw hats, but the real ones are now more powerful then they were two years ago," he said looking annoyed.
Over with Rayleigh he was sitting on a hill nearby where the Sunny had left. He looked up at sky that could be seen clearly through the damage Star and Darks battle caused.
"Gotta say the lighting is a nice touch," said Shakky walking over to Rayleigh.
"You came to see them off too," said Rayleigh.
"Well of course, I'm a fan of theirs after all," said Shakky smiling. "A lot of the archipelago got damaged from the fight," she said.
"Yeah," Rayleigh said.
"Not a lot people died though, sounds like the guy covered in light saved a bunch of them," she said. "Heard he was last seen in this area when the explosion went off," she said looking at Rayleigh.
"He and his wife are with them now," he said.
"Not even in the new world yet and hes already got two new crew mates, Monkey really is something," she said.
"I'm sure they'll getting along," Rayleigh said calmly remembering when Star jumped in the way to save Chopper. He then smiled when one memory came to mind.
"Whats on your mind?" Shakky asked.
"Just remembering old times," Rayleigh said remembering when he first met the first king of the pirates. His house had just burned down and he was living on a boat when Rodger met him. He said it was destiny they met and that together they can turn the world upside down.
Rayleigh wiped a tear from his eye from remembering his captain. "Luffy truly has a grown into a man now," he said smiling.
"Hes definitely worthy of that hat, I have a feeling he made the right choice adding those two to his crew," he said. "I wonder what those two will accomplish, to see that I guess it wouldn't be too bad to stick around longer," he said. Shaky just smiled at him.
Meanwhile going deep under the water, "Well were really under the service now," said Robin.
"My what beautiful sight," Brook said.
"Wow look at those fish," Luffy said, "Hey you guys," he said looking at Star and Hermione just in time to see Hermione putting her husbands head on her lap. He was now sleeping.
"Will he be alright," said Robin checking one of their new crew mates.
"Yeah he just needs some rest," said Hermione smiling. "His body's been through a lot over the last few hours," he said.
Chopper transformed into his human form and picked up Star. "There's a bed in my office, he can rest there," he said before noticing a hole in his shirt.
"Oh no hes been cut," he said getting everyones attention.
"Wait what," Franky said.
"Hold on everyone," Hermione said holding her hand up. She lifted to bottom of Stars shirt revealing clean skin.
"Hes not wounded," Sanji said.
"No, his powers must have kicked in before Darks sword could stab into his skin," Hermione said turning to him when Sanji smiled.
"A woman," he said before blasting into the air from a nosebleed. He then hit the coating as it began to stretch.
"Ahh Sanji," said Luffy, Chopper and Usopp before the cook fell to the ground.
"Don't die on us Sanji," said Chopper. "I knew he was bad when it came to women but it was never this bad," he said.
"Just where has he been for the last two years," Usopp said.
"Well while hes out I can at least tell you how this coating works," said Nami. "Chopper take Star to your office, Hermione right," she said.
"Yes," she said.
"You can go with them, ill tell you about it later," She said.
"Thank you," Hermione said before she followed Chopper to the medical office. Nami watched them go but then she noticed Robin pick up a book from where Hermione had been sitting.
Inside the medical office Star had been placed on the bed still sleeping before Hermione placed the sheet over him. She brushed her hand through his hair smiling before she noticed his wedding ring on his right hand.
She then pulled up his right sleeve revealing an orange ring with four metal pieces attached to it. "Here," Chopper said putting a glass of water on the table next to the bed. "He looks exhausted so he might want to have a drink when he wakes up," he said.
"Thank you dr Chopper," Hermione said smiling before Chopper danced.
"Saying that won't get you anything you jerk," he said while Hermione laughed.
"Yeah I should have known you would do that," she said before looking back at Star.
"May I ask how Star got the serum in the first place," Chopper said looking nervous while Hermione's look turned serious.
"When he was just a baby after being born, Dark was in his body for over twenty years," Hermione said holding Stars right hand. "Before today they've been fighting over four years," she said making him look surprised.
"Over four years, "Chopper said before looking at Star with a worried look on his face. "No wonder he's exhausted," he said.
"I was trapped because of Dark," Hermione said looking down. "Heaven blamed himself for what happened to me," she said holding his hand.
"I'm so sorry," Chopper said putting his hoof on her arm. "But don't worry, me, Luffy and the others are going to keep him and you safe," he said smiling.
Hermione wiped her eyes before smiling at the reindeer. "Thank you Chopper," she said.
"Hey you guys know about us right?" Chopper asked and Hermione nodded. "Do you know why Sanji is acting up this way?" He asked.
"Well um you know Sanji is with women right," Hermione said nervously. "Well for the last two years hes been," she said before looking surprised at something. She searched her pockets but only found her wand and the necklace Star handed her earlier.
"Oh no," she said getting up before looking at Star and then the necklace. She kissed him on the forehead before putting on the necklace and rushing outside.
"Hey whats wrong," said Chopper before hearing the sound of someone being punched.
"Don't you two ever try that again," Usopp said looking Luffy and Zolo who were lying on the ground.
"They tried to catch some fish through the coating, but if theres to many holes put in it will fall apart," Nami explained to Hermione as she walked down the steps.
"Listen has anyone seen," she said before Robin spoke up and held up the volume of one piece.
"This," she said before walking over to her and handing the book. "I only read to the part where you and Star appeared," she said.
"Hey that's us," Luffy said getting up and looking at the cover.
"Yeah your right," Usopp said noticing himself on the cover.
"Look we obviously have a lot to talk about, so how about we all sit down," Franky said.
"Yeah I'm hungry, hey Sanji get cook us something up," Luffy said looking at the cook who was still unconscious.
"I think hes going to be out for a while," Hermione said.
"Must be to much for him after where hes been for the last two years," Robin said calmly and Hermione nodded in agreement.
"Wait, are you telling me that book knows where we've been for the last two years," Usopp said looking nervous.
"Yes and you really did a great job Usopp," Hermione said.
"Thank you, wait are we famous in your world," Usopp said.
"Yes but shouldn't we explain everything first," Hermione said.
"Wait here's the food," Luffy said brining over the large backpack. "The lunches Hancock packed," he said before taking out all the boxes for the crew. After sitting down Franky spoke up.
"First off all as you know Hachi was suppose to lead us to fishman island, but both he and Duval got badly injured protecting the Sunny for a year," he said.
"But when I came back and found the sunny, there wasn't a scratch on her," said Franky.
"But we wrere gone for two years," Usopp said while eating.
"Thats because there was someone else who was protecting the Sunny," Franky said before looking serious. "The man who separated us two years ago, Bartholmew Kuma," he said making them look surprised.
"Kuma," said Luffy looking surprised.
"That's right, he was badly damaged when I found him," Franky said.
"From what I heard the world governments been doing expririemnts on him, turning him into a weapon," Franky said. "But before he lost himself he left he was able to one mission, to protect the thousand Sunny until one of the straw hats reappear," he said.
"Kuma," Robin thought.
"I don't know why he did what he did, but he basically saved us that day two years ago," Franky said.
"He was from the Revolotioaary army," Hermione said calmly eating her food.
"Hey that's right," said Luffy looking surprised. "Iva tried to talk to him during the war," he said.
"He was probably long gone by then," said Franky.
"No wonder he didn't listen," Luffy said sitting back down. "But he did protect our ship," he said looking up.
"Now I think its time we hear from one of our new crewmates," Robin said before looking at Hermione.
"Uh what happened," said Sanji sitting up.
"Hey Sanji try some of this lunch Hancock gave us," Luffy said.
"Oh yeah that's right, do you know where ive been for the last two years while you were in paradise," he said looking annoyed.
"Sanji," Hermione said. "I know where you've been for the last two years, do you really want everyone to know," he said.
"No not really," Sanji said before grabbing a box and sitting down.
"Wait is the answer in that book," Usopp looking at the volume.
"Don't even think about it," Sanji said looking annoyed.
"Quiet," Nami said looking annoyed. "Now how about you start by telling us how you and your husband ended up here," she said.
"Thank you Nami," Hermione said before putting her box down. "First you should all know like you I was originally from a world that was written," she said.
"But aren't you and Star from the same place?" Usopp asked and Hermione nodded.
"Yes but I was created from a different world that had magic," she said holding up her wand. "I ended up with Heaven because he fell in love with me and later so did I," she said smiling at the memory of their first kiss.
"You said you got trapped because of Dark right?" Chopper asked.
"If Heaven had his power since he was born I would have been with him when he fell in love with me, but since he didn't I ended up trapped in his mind," she said.
"Must have been terrible," Sanji said.
"For a while yes, but it got easier when we started dating," said Hermione before looking at her rings. "I was really happy after we got married," she said.
"So romantic, yohoho," Brook said happily.
"So how did you guys end up here?" Nami asked.
Hermione then explained about the conflict that had been happening in their world and Heaven had been investigating it as a journalist. She then explained about the ambush and how people were after his power to use it.
"The lightening hitting off the book probably changed where Dark wanted us to go too," Hermione said holding up the volume. "I was reading the moment we arrived at before I was sent out," he said.
"Those jerks," Luffy said looking angry.
"So even though they were the ones who locked away his powers they wanted it for themselves," Nami said looking annoyed.
"The one created the serum is dead correct," Robin said and Hermione nodded.
"Yeah, the doctor was surprised when I came out as well," Hermione said. She then remembered something that made her cover her eyes.
"Hey whats wrong," Nami said looking worried.
"Hes going to be sad when he wakes up," said Hermione said sadly.
Sanji looked surprised. "Oh yeah you guys cant go back," he said.
"Wait, you said Star was with his family when it happened," Usopp said looking surprised.
"Yeah, hes not going to get to see them again," Hermione said as Nami put a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm sorry, but he still has you and now all of us," said Nami smiling.
"Yeah," Chopper said cheering.
"Thank you all, you know he really is a big fan of you all," she said smiling.
"Who did he have to say goodbye too," said Luffy.
"His mother, father and his little brother," Hermione said.
"Wait a minute hang on," said Frank before holding up the book. "How much does the books show about us?" He asked.
"Lets just say we know all of your backgrounds," she said making them all look surprised.
"What," said Luffy.
"The last flashback I read was about you Luffy," Hermione said.
"Really, if it was after the war then that must have been about Ace," said Usopp looking down.
"Not just Ace," Hermione said making them look confused.
"Sabo," Luffy said looking down. Hermione nodded while Nami looked at her captain confused.
"Luffy," she aid.
While the crew continued to talk. Not far away from them on a ship being pulled by a massive sea cow. "Up ahead, it's the straw hats," Coribou said.
"Yes looks like were catching up to them," Captain Caribou said smiling.
