Part 6: A beasts roar
"Oh no we gotta," Usopp said running to the front of the ship.
"Ankoro, Wadatsumi, quickly pull the ship at once," a male voice said from the other ship. "Men were retreating," he said.
"Aye, aye captain Vander Decken," multiple voices from the other ship said.
"Luffy you gotta tell the kraken to move now," said Nami.
"Right," Luffy said before Usopp spoke up from the front of the ship.
"Wait you don't need to," he said. The crew looked towards the front of the ship to see they were already moving and Surume was pulling them along.
"Hes already moving," Usopp said looking surprised.
"What an awkward way to run though and the look on his face," Robin said noticing the nervous look on the krakens face.
"That's just because of the eruption," Usopp said before the shaking got worse.
"We need to get out of here quickly," Star said before feeling something on his right wrist. He smiled before the bright blue light covered his body and a long rope appeared in his hands.
"Heaven," Hermione said before noticing him run towards the middle of the ship and tie the rope around the mast.
"Hey what are you doing?" Franky asked.
"Giving Surume some back up," Star said, "Luffy grab these," he said before tossing him the end of the rope and a small metal piece.
"Whats this small metal thing?" Luffy asked looking confused.
"It looks like in the shape of some creature," Usopp said looking at the piece confused.
"Just throw them please," Star said just as the underwater volcano erupted.
"Right," Luffy said before throwing the rope and the metal piece out. When the metal piece reached the water the bright blue light covered Stars body and a bright blue sphere surrounded the piece.
The crew then watched surprised as a large beast appeared out of the sphere. Its body long with spikes coming off its back and tail. Its teeth showing on each sides of its head. Its body bright blue like Star. It then let out a roar before grabbing the rope and pulling the ship forward fast with Surume.
"What is that thing," Usopp said before grabbing the railing.
"Like I said back up," Star said walking to the front of the ship smiling.
"What did you tell it," Hermione said.
"Keep going forward," Star said before noticing Sanji was sitting on the ground looking at photos of the female members of the crew. "Chopper," he said sounding serious noticing there was a photo Hermione.
"It's therapy," Chopper said calmly before they looked to see the ruined ship and sea creature be sent flying.
"Its heating up the ocean, Star tell your," Nami said before looking confused.
"Beast," Star said.
"Tell it to go faster," Nami said.
"Right," Star said as the before the bright blue light covered his body, "G go faster," he said before the ship started going faster.
"Woohoo," said Luffy from where he was standing.
"Good thing one of my beasts is good at swimming underwater," Star said smiling.
"You just called it G, is it short for his name?" Robin asked.
"Yeah, Godzilla," Star said calmly.
"Why does it have that name?" Chopper asked looking surprised.
"Long story, are we still heading in the right direction," Hermione said looking at Nami.
"Yeah, right down that trench," Nami said looking at log pose and they looked ahead to see a trench that was dark.
"Are you insane, it looks like theres not even a bottom," Usopp said looking worried.
"I'm sure everything's alright, Nami which way," Sanji said looking at her before falling down again with another nosebleed.
"Are you seriously having a nosebleed at a time like this," Chopper said looking surprised.
"Hey Heaven," Hermione said getting his attention, "Those nosebleeds will stop after a while right?" She asked.
"Yeah but were still a bit away from that," he said before sighing and getting Robins attention.
"Wait I don't think that's mentioned in the volume your wife brought with her," she said looking confused.
"No time, you need to tell your beast to jump and Luffy tell the same to Surume," Nami said.
"Got it," they both said as the bright blue light covered Stars body.
"No don't, theres going to be some kind of monster down there I just know it," said Usopp said looking nervous.
"Jump Surume," Luffy said smiling.
"Go G," Star said as Surume and Godzilla jumped into the trench pulling the sunny with them.
"Hey wait whats that noise," Chopper said before looking surprised at something above them.
"What is that," Franky said pushing up his sunglasses. Everyone looked up to see large boulders falling down at them.
"The eruptions must have caused an collapse on the trench walls," Nami said.
"I got this, Luffy hold onto my robes," Zolo said grabbing the handles of his swords.
"Right I got it," Luffy said smiling before arms appeared and grabbed Zolo by his robes.
"Robin what are you doing?" Zolo asked.
"You can't go out there, you'll be crushed by the pressure," She said looking serious.
"Then what are suppose to," Zolo said before Usopp spoke up while pointing his weapon at the boulders.
"Special attack, green star sargasso," he said before firing a seed out of the coating. It then formed a large net made out of seaweed that stop the boulders from falling.
"Amazing," Hermione said.
"Way to go Usopp," Chopper said cheering.
"Now we have enough time to dodge them," Nami said smiling as the boulders began to push through sea weed.
"That wont be needed," Star said walking the middle of the ship as the bright blue light covered his body. There was a bright blue flash on his back and a sword holder appeared on his back. Luffy and Zolo instantly recognizing the sword in it.
"What are you thinking," Usopp said before Star pulled out Excalibur and moved the switch to R. He then pressed the lighting strike button and the sword went wide. The blade turning bright blue.
"What kind of sword is that," Franky said as Star looked up at the boulders as he held his sword back.
"No wait youll cut a whole in the coating," Usopp said before Robin stopped him.
"No he wont," she said as the boulders began to fall.
"Multi removal slash," he said before swinging his sword multiple times. Sending out multiple bright blue slashes that went through the coating and hitting the boulders. Making all of them vanish.
Star took a breath as he put the sword back in his sheathe after pressing down on the lighting strike button. The bright blue light then stopped covering his body, "Now we just wait to go further down," he said.
"That was awesome," said Luffy smiling.
"You doing okay," Hermione said walking over to him.
"Yeah, I'm in better shape then I was before we got here," he said smiling at her.
"Where did you learn to swing a sword like that?" Zolo asked.
"Short answer ive seen a lot of sword fights," Star said and learned that way, "But I made this sword myself," he said.
"How did it get its name," Zolo asked.
"I was the one who named it," Hermione said smiling.
"Now while were waiting I would like to know how you know Sanjis nosebleeds eventually stop," Robin said.
"That's a good question," Sanji said looking serious.
"Well I was reading about your world long before Hermione was," he said.
"So you know what happens in fishman island," Nami said.
"Yeah, along with some stuff that happens in the new world," he said making them all look surprised.
"Oh that's right, a big chapter was coming out the week we left," Hermione said realizing something. "It was a big chapter and you didn't want to get spoiled on it," she said.
"Yeah thats right, chapter one thousnad," Star said.
"Then maybe that's the final one, so do we," Usopp said before star interrupted him.
"Stop right there, if you finish that sentence I'm sure Luffys going to tell you to shut up," said Star calmly.
"What do you mean?" Luffy asked looking confused.
"He was probably going to ask if we found the one piece," Nami said.
"Oh, then shut up Usopp I want to find out myself," Luffy said looking annoyed.
"Yes understood," said Usopp looking nervous.
"Ill leave it to them to find out how to find it," Star thought remembering what happens in Zou, "But things have probably already changed since me and Hermione appeared, might as well change some other things," he thought.
Then everyone shielded their eyes as they reached the light, "What is that," Usopp said.
"Its so bright, not that I have any eyes, yohoho," said Brooks.
"Whoa, hey Star you've seen this place before right," Luffy said as he walked to the front of the ship.
"Yep theres no mistaking it and the log pose should be pointing right at it," he said.
"Hes right, that's fishman island," Nami said as the needle on the log pose was pointing at an island surrounded by a large bubble.
"Alright we've made it," Luffy said cheering.
"One of the hardest places to reach on the grand line," Franky said smiling.
"This is where the mermaids live, ive always dreamed of this place," Sanji said looking excited. "Not just mermaids, but the mermaid princess as well," he said.
Hermione walked over to Star who stared at the island, "Nothing like reading or seeing it on TV is it?" She asked.
"No," he said smiling. "Its whole other thing entirely," he said as the two of them held hands. They then heard a thump and they looked to see Sanji had fallen onto the ground blushing.
"Mermaids," he said as his nose bled.
"Oh no even thinking about it is bad," Usopp said checking on the ships cook.
"Sorry Sanji looks like the treatment isn't even working, I think its best that you don't see the mermaids at all," Chopper said looking worried.
"No Chopper," Usopp said looking down, "This is his dream you cant just take it away from him," he said.
"It will be fine," said Sanji getting their attention, "I will be fine, Ill bleed out even if it means I can get a look at those mermaids," he said looking determined.
"You idiot," Usopp said.
"Its not worth dying for," Chopper said.
"You sure that wears off,?" Nami asked walking over to Star and Hermione.
"Yeah," Star said smiling.
"Hey how did you find out about our world anyway?" Nami asked.
"Oh I remember," Hermione said, "It was just during the time back when you were all in the east blue," she said.
"Yeah almost near the end of your time there," said Star.
"Well what was," Nami said before a male voice spoke up getting everyones attention.
"Kraken what are you doing taking orders from a human and beast what are you doing pulling them along," he said. The crew looked to see multiple sea beasts swimming in front of them.
The bright blue light covered Stars body as he made the rope vanish, "Its bunch of sea beasts," Sanji said.
"We've made this far only to die," Usopp said looking upset.
"Yeah but theres someone on their backs," Luffy said.
"I know you straw hats, you were the ones to foil the ambitions of the along pirates," the fishman said. His name was Hammond, a pike conger fishman.
"But you also protected Hachi, a former officer in that crew and then attacked those celestial dragons," he said smiling. "Your actions are almost like that of our hero Fisher Tiger, so what will it be straw hats will you work under the new fishman pirates or will this be your end," he said.
"What is he talking about," Luffy said.
"I think he said hes going to kill us if we don't join them," Star said as he grabbed Excalibur's handle. Everyone but Nami noticed Star was looking at the fishman angrily.
"Whats going on with him," said Sanji.
"Hes looking at the same thing as Nami," said Hermione and that's when Usopp, Zolo, Sanji and Luffy noticed the tattoo on the fishmans arm.
"Thats," Usopp said.
"The symbol for the arlong pirates," Sanji said looking angry.
Nami hearing them talking walked over to Franky, "Franky get ready to fire a coup de burst," he said.
"You got a plan?" Franky asked.
"Luffy and Star both look like their not going to listen, were deep underwater and the only we have of fighting is with the beast," Nami said.
"So use up the remaining air and fire us right into fishman island," Nami said.
"Alright I see where your going," Franky said.
"This maybe our only chance to survive, but it looks like Star has some hatred to Arlong," Robin said.
"That's right," Hermione said walking over to them.
"Then the story he found out about us was from," Nami said already knowing her response.
"Was yours," Hermione said before Usopp started walking back.
"Ill handle the refueling, you get ready to go Franky," Usopp said.
"I got yeah bro," Franky said getting ready to take off.
"So what will it be straw hats, will your serve under the new fishman pirates," Hammond said smiling.
"Coup de burst ready for launch," Franky said before Luffy took a deep breath before yelling.
"NO WAY MORON," he yelled smiling.
The bright blue light covered Stars body and then Godzilla let out a roar.
