Part 7: Into fishman island
The three fishman looked surprised by Luffys response while Godzilla looked towards them with angry look on its face, "You refuse us, the fishman pirates, guess I shouldn't be surprised since your just nothing but wicked humans," Hammond said smiling.
"Like we would work for you anyway," Luffy said.
"Luffy stop your only going to make them angrier," Chopper said climbing onto the captains shoulder.
"Then that means you die," Hammond said, "Sea lion," he said as one of the sea beasts went to go attack the sunny.
"Franky," Nami said before Star yelled.
"GODZILLA," he said before the bright blue beast jumped at the sea lion and pushed it into the ground.
"What," Hammond said looking surprised as he watched the sea lions be repeatedly punched by the beast.
"Star get him the back off now," Franky said getting his attention, "Coup de burst," he said before the sunny took off towards fishman island at quick speed.
"The ship," one of the other fishman said looking surprised before Godzilla went right past them.
The entire crew fell to the ground as the coating pushed agaisnt them, "Whats going on?" Hermione asked.
"We just ran out of air, just stick out until we reach fishman island," Nami said from being trapped by the coating. When they went through the bubble the coating burst and they were able to stand back up.
"The coatings gone," Luffy said looking surprised.
"The island must have two layers, theres air here so any other ship would have fallen," Robin said.
"Ahh, we have a problem," Chopper said looking surprised as they all looked up to see Godzilla falling towards them.
"Its because it swam here," Star said holding up his arms. Then to mostly everyones surprise the beast shrank before landing in Stars arms when the bright blue light stopped covering his body to reveal he was smiling.
"IT SHRANK," Usopp aid Chopper yelled.
"We got a bigger problem," Sanji said before they noticed the next layer with water in it. They went through and everyone was sent flying off the ship.
"This isn't good, four of us are devil fruit users," thought Sanji as the current pulled them in.
Star opened his eyes still in the water and looked to see everyone was being pulled away, "Wait I can breathe," he thought before realizing his power was on. "Must be keeping me from drowning," he said before noticing Luffy in the water and looked like he had passed out.
He then quickly looked for Hermione who was being pulled away with Nami, "Godzilla grab them," he said before letting go of the beast before it grew bigger and swam after them. Star quickly swam to Luffy and grabbed him before jumping towards Godzilla who had grabbed Hermione and Nami who looked like they were holding their breath.
Star looked at Godzilla before the beast held out its hands and Star landed on it. He then formed a bright blue bubble around them and the bright blue light stopped covering his body and he took a breath. Hermione and Nami then started coughing.
"Luffy," Nami said rushing over to his side.
"Here I got him," said Star before pounding his fist into his chest. Luffy then coughed up water before sitting up.
"Well that didn't go well," said Luffy.
"You got that right," Star said before noticing Hermione's clothes were wet.
"Good thing I have magic," she said smiling before waving her wand and her clothes now looked dry.
"Great you can think you can take care of mine," Nami said.
"Sure," Hermione said.
"Here Luffy I got you," Star as the bright blue light covered his body and he waved his right at Luffy.
"Whoa I'm all dry," Luffy said smiling.
"That power isn't magic right," Nami said after being dried off.
"No but mine is, I was witch in the world I was from," Hermione said before they all sat back. Star looked at Godzilla who began to swim further into the island.
"Looks like they're gone now," a fishman said looking at Hammond.
"Do we go after them, that beast might have saved some of them," said another fishman.
"No they all probably drowned when they reached the island," another fishman said looking like he was drunk.
"For now he head back to Noah and inform the boss that Straw Hat Luffy," Hammond said before smiling. "The one stopped the ambitions of the Arlong pirates has arrived at fishman island,".
Far into the island not far from a living area Godzilla hid still holding the four pirates in the bubble, "So what do we do now, go look for everyone?" Nami asked.
"Nah I'm sure theyre alright," Luffy said sitting back.
"Luffys right, we didn't come into the island a different way so they probably ended up in the same places they did from what I read about," Star said calmly.
"But you did changer where Luffy and Nami ended up," Hermione said.
"Yeah but that shouldn't change much," Star said, "For now I think we should go meet up with Camie, we should at least will stick with that," he said.
"Wait do you know where Camie lives?" Nami asked looking surprised.
"Yeah but something tells me I should be the one to push us there, the fishman here might not be use to seeing a beast like G," Star said before the bright blue light covered his body. Godzilla then turned back into bright blue sphere before moving to Stars right wrist before turning back into a small metal piece. He then flew out of the bubble and started pushing.
"You sure your not tired," Hermione said.
"No I'm all good, honestly its kind of fun being able to swim underwater like this," Star said as they moved further into fishman island.
"So ah Luffy," said Nami getting her captains attention, "You mentioned Sabo on the ship when we were talking about the flashback with Ace, who was he?" She asked.
"Oh," Luffy said looking down, "He was also my brother, but he died a long time ago," he said.
"Oh I'm sorry," Nami said.
"It was a celestial dragon," Hermione said making Nami looking surprised.
"What did you say," Nami said.
"Wait you saw it happen," Luffy said looking surprised and Hermione nodded.
"Then again the celestial dragon wasn't the only one who did something evil before that day," said Star as he pushed the bubble.
"What do you mean," said Nami.
"Oh yeah, some pirate wanted me and Ace to help him set up some explosives for him in grey terminal," Luffy said looking annoyed.
"Grey terminal was basically a scrap area, but people lived there and the nobles wanted it burned down so the celestial dragon wouldn't see it," Star said.
"Is that true," said Luffy.
"Yeah," said Star as he looked at an area that lead to small buildings below and began to push them there.
"Dadan and the others came back to save me and Ace," Luffy said looking down.
"Now I don't really blame you for punching that one two years ago, even though we ended up separated," Nami said hugging her knees.
"I didn't want what happen us then happen again, so we needed to train," Luffy said, "That's what Rayleigh told me," he said.
"Nami, out of everyone you had a negative reaction when you saw Luffy in that article saying to meet up in two years," Hermione said.
"Well of course I did," Nami said looking annoyed, "He was always there for us when we were having tough times," she said before looking at Luffy.
"Why couldn't we be there for you," she said before looking away from her captain.
"Nami," Luffy said before a female voice called them.
"Luffy, Nami Chin," said Camie from the entrance to one of the apartments.
"Camie," Nami said looking past the bubble as Star finished bringing them down.
"Quick come inside Usopp, Chopper and Sanji are already here," Camie said as Star put the bubble next to the entrance. An entrance in the bubble then opened up and they all stepped out with Nami walking out first.
"Wait who are these two," said Camie looking at Hermione and then Star who walked in after the bubble vanished. The bright blue light then stopped covering his body making her look surprised.
"They're our new crew mates, Star and Hermione," Luffy said smiling.
"Nami your okay," Sanji said cheerfully from what looked like a clam bed. Usopp and Chopper were sitting with him in different clothes.
"I think theyre dry, they look dry, are you sure theyre dry, I dont care if theyre dry, are they dry," said five little mermaids.
"You dried our clothes thanks, hey Camie who are they?" Sanji asked.
"Oh theyre friends of mine," Camie said, "Theyre the guppy mermaid quintuplets," she said.
"Hello," they said.
"I'm Ichika," one said.
"I'm Nika,".
"I'm Sanka,".
"I'm Yonka,".
"I'm Yonka two," the last one said.
"Shouldn't you be Goka," Usopp said looking surprised.
"They cant swim fast but are really smart, were at the mermaid inlet," Camie said. "It's the female dormitory for the mermaid café, some of my other friends live here too," he said.
"Wait did you say mermaids," Sanji said looking surprised.
"Yeah I work there too and so do a lot of other mermaids," Camie said.
Sanji looked even more surprised as it looked like he was about to have a nosebleed. "Sanji no," Chopper said.
"No," he said looking determined. "I wont pass out from a nosebleed until I get to see those mermaids," he said.
"What a dream to have," Usopp said.
"Wonder if it will finally wear off when he sees them," Nami said.
"I don't think it does," Star said calmly.
"Get changed ill introduce you to my friends," said Camie.
"Sure sounds fun," said Luffy.
After Usopp, Chopper and Sanji had changed into regular outfits, "Here will take the turtle elevator up," Camie said as they all entered a bubble on top of a big turtle.
"Star could have brought us up though," Luffy said.
"Yeah but I need to relax every now and then," he said as they started going up.
"My rent isn't exactly cheap so I live at the bottom, the apartments near the top get more sunlight so their more expensive," Camie explained as they moved further up.
"But your place looked nice," Nami said. "Wait where is Papagu, shouldn't he be with you?" She asked looking confused.
"No hes a famous star designer so he lives in a big mansion at Goverly hills, I'm going to deliver clams later to him so you can come along," Camie said.
"What about Hachi, I want to thank him for protecting the Sunny," Luffy said smiling.
"Oh yeah he got injured and that's why he couldn't lead you guys here," Star said.
"Hachi lives in the fishman district so he went to recover there, honestly that place is kind of scary, but if I'm with you guys I can give you a tour," Camie said.
"Sure sounds great," said Luffy.
"Hey Camie what are those tunnels over there," Usopp said as they all looked out to see what looked like tunnels made out of water.
"Oh that's the water road, the bubble artisans made them for us so we could get anywhere, here ill show you," she said before swimming outside the bubble.
"Look we reached the surface," Chopper said as they got past the water.
"Look I can even swim in the sky," Camie said swimming in a water road that went into the air.
"Whoa cool," said Luffy.
"Wait how I there is a sky and sunlight underwater," Usopp said looking confused.
"Amazing," Hermione said.
"Hey Camie, are they your friends," said a female voice from behind them.
"Women," Sanji said turning around. They all looked to see a group of mermaids in the water.
"Hey are they your friends Camie," one of them said.
"Didn't they almost drown, but now theres more with them," one of them said smiling.
"They didn't come through the entrance, so they came in here illegally,".
"It's great to meet pirates,".
"Whoa this is a scene like out of a fairy tale," Usopp said looking surprised.
"I did it, I finally made it," Sanji said looking down as he began to cry.
"Why are you crying Sanji," said Usopp.
"Yeah you haven't cried this much since you left the baratie," Luffy said.
"Guess I missed out on that," Nami said before noticing Star who was standing next to Hermione looked calm.
"Hey why aren't you excited," Usopp said noticing the look on his face as well.
"Seen it before and I'm married to a beautiful woman," Star said calmly.
"Thank you," Hermione said kissing him on the cheek and making him smile.
"Everyone this is Luffy their captain, Nami is their navigator," Camie said introducing them.
"Sanji is their cook, the long nose is Usopp," Camie said.
"Hey," he said looking annoyed.
"The raccoon dog is Chopper," she said.
"I'm not a raccoon dog, but its nice to meet you all," Chopper said rubbing the back of his head.
"Their new crew members are Star and Hermione," Camie said.
"Hello," Hermione said.
"Nice to meet you," Star said.
"Oh look at their rings, their married," one of the mermaids said.
Sanji who was still crying suddenly felt someone grab his hand and he looked surprised to see it was one of the mermaids, "Why all the tears, why don't you join us so we can dance in the water," she said.
"I did, I found the all blue," said Sanji cheerfully.
"So you achieved your dream huh," said Usopp looking bored before noticing Sanji look down.
"I know whats going on, this is all to good to be true and I'm about to die," Sanji said looking like he was going to cry.
"Why are you so down, seriously where have you been for the last two years," Usopp said.
"This really is paradise then," said Sanji.
"Yes good things can happen Sanji," said Usopp.
"Just don't go to far," Chopper said.
"Haha this funny, hey Nami where are you going," Luffy said noticing Nami was walking away from the group.
"Just going for a walk, I wont go far," she said calmly before walking ahead.
"Oh okay," Luffy said looking down which both Star and Hermione noticed.
"Should we do something?" Hermione asked.
"You get Nami I got Luffy," Star said. Hermione nodded at him before going to catch up with the navigator.
But in another part of the area two mermaids were looking at a secured barrel, "This washed up with the pirates," one of them said.
"What do you think is in here, Liquor, treasure," the second one said.
"Lets try opening it," the first one said. But was in the barrel was the pirate Caribou.
In another part of fishman island. In the fishman district at a large ship called Noah. "So the straw luffy is here," a male voice said in front of Hammond.
"Yes its true hes here along with the rest of his crew," Hammond said looking nervous, "What should we do?" He asked.
"Bring him to me," he said.
