"Guys, Rangers, Help," Claire cried out and they rushed over to her standing by the egg. "You've got to see this," she squealed excitedly pointing at the egg.

They watched and Nothing happened.

"I don't—" Nick started but Claire shushed him.

Then the egg rocked which made Claire even more excited as she turned and grabbed Xander shaking him as she spoke.

"Did you see it? Did you?"

"I did, I did. It moved, it moved," said Xander sharing her excitement.

"This is so great. I'm so excited," said Chip joining in. "What does it mean?"

"I mean it's gonna hatch," said Vida.

"So does anyone know how to hatch a dragon egg?" asked Maddie looking around at them.

"Oh, Udonna would know," said Chip.

"Udonna's not here," said Claire as she grabbed him by the front of his shirt.

"I know where we can find out," said Maddie and she walked over to one of the cabinets and pulled a book out. "'1001 Things You Want to Know about Dragon'" she opened the book and flipped through until she found the right page. "Ah, here we are. How to hatch dragons to hatch a dragon egg set the egg upright and proceed to bludgeon it with a sledgehammer until open," she read aloud.

"Excellent, I get the hammer," said Vida a little too enthusiastically.

"Oh no you don't," said Claire leaning over the top of the egg to protect it.

Knocking echoed through Rootcore and the teens look around at each other.

"Do we even have a door?" asked Nick and he headed out to investigate who was knocking and Vida followed him out.

Several minutes later Vida came back inside.

"Who was knocking?" Novi asked.

"It was Phineas he has a toothache and came asking for help. Nick and I Are going to take him to a dentist in town to remove the tooth.

"Maybe that's not the best idea. I don't think the people of Briarwood are ready to learn about Troblins just yet. They might come to 'hunt' for what else is hidden in the forest. That would lead to a whole new world of trouble," said Novi.

"We could dress him up in these old clothes," offered Chip.

"That works," said Novi.

They carried the clothes outside and once Phineas was fully covered up, they headed into town. Phineas was fascinated by everything as this was the first time he had been out of the forest.

"It's all so tall and shiny," said Phineas as they walked and he started to walk out onto the busy road had Vida and Maddie not pulled him back as a car roared past, horn blaring.

"You can't just go stepping off the curb in front of cars," said Xander.

"Thank you," said Phineas pulling him into a hug. "I didn't know. New in town and all."

He watched as another car zoomed past. "Wow, a lot of these…car things. Ooh, can you eat them?" he asked as he was about to step into the road in front of one but Vida and Maddie pulled him back again.

"Somebody help me!" came an all too familiar voice from down the street. "Got to find the Power Rangers." Leelee cried out as she approached them. Xander gently pushed Phineas behind him and turned folding his arms to hide him.

"Monsters, beach, Cave!" she continued to call out.

"Hey LeeLee, Leelee. We don't know where the Power Rangers are. Why don't you look in the other side of town and we'll look around here," said Nick.

"Ugh, you can never find those costume freaks when you need them," Leelee moaned pushing through them

"Who's she calling a costume freak?" demanded Vida smacking her fist into her hand. Novi put a hand on her shoulder and she relaxed a little.

"Sounds like there is trouble on the beach cave," said Chip. "Wonder why the crystal ball didn't pick it up."

"Uh hi, over here. Remember me with the tooth," Phineas reminded them

"Oh right, someone should stay behind and take him to the dentist. Any volunteers?" said Maddie

Silence fell over the group as they all looked around hoping someone else would offer so they didn't have to.

"No, no, no don't all jump in at once. Sure ill be fine," said Phineas sadly.

"Come one, one of us has to take him," said Xander but he spotted someone approaching. "Then again, maybe not." He finished as Toby got closer.

"Hey Toby, you couldn't do us a favor, could you? I need to take my..uh"

"Uncle?" Chip offered.

"Yeah, my uncle to the dentist but something urgent has come up that I need to deal with. I don't suppose you could take him for me, could you?"

"Uh yeah sure," said Toby eyeing Phineas carefully.

Thanks, Toby," said Xander.

There it is," said Nick as they arrived at the beach cave, now fully morphed. It didn't look like anything special but three hideacs were guarding the entrance, so someone must be after whatever was inside.

"There are just a few hideacs," said Xander.

"Hardly what I'd call a global alert," said Chip.

The hideacs charged at them and Nick rushed forward quickly taking care of them and once they were dispatched they headed inside. The mouth of the cave was nothing more than an elongated, wide crack in the stone. Inside the cave was a narrow opening that opened up to a large cavernous space but it was pitch black and they couldn't see the path in front of them. Chip pulled out his wand and the top of it, the light bounced off the walls of the cave

"FROG, get it off me, get it off me!" she cried out.

She shook her hand still screaming as she walked forward and fell down a small ledge further in the cave taking Nick and Xander with her as she fell.

"You can't be afraid of a little frog," said Nick in a mocking tone.

"I'm not, afraid, I'm petrified," Maddie snapped. "Ugly, slimy frog."

Speaking of ugly, what's that?" asked Vida.

They could see that in the center sat a dry, decrypted creature, it was all hunched up like it had tried to defend itself from something but there were no signs as to what.

"Hey over here, there is something else," said Nick as he ran over to one side and dropped to his knees as he started to unearth it.

"What is it?" asked Maddie.

"It's a lamp with the Mystic Force crest on it. A lost treasure, and now it's ours," said Nick. As he picked up the lamp, there was a crack of thunder as the ground beneath them shook tossing them around.

"What was that?" asked Novi as the shaking stopped.

"I know the answer to your question. That was you destroying the force field that stopped me from entering," said Necrolai as she appeared behind them. "Now give me what I came for," she demanded.

"No, you're not getting this lamp," said Nick as he held the lamp close to his body and turned away from her slightly.

"I'm not?" she asked before she charged at him.

Novi jumped in front to try and block her from reaching him but she blew past knocking her and the others out of her way. She grabbed nick pulling him close.

"You can keep your lamp," she said before she threw him aside. "I want this," she said picking up the mummified creature.

She blew at them and when the air hit them it knocked them back and they couldn't see her when the dust cleared she was gone.

"Where is she?" asked Nick.

"I think the more important question is why did she want the dried-up mummy for," said Novi.

"Yeah, I've got a bad feeling we'll see that thing again," said Vida.

Back at Rootcore Nick took a cloth and wiped the worst of the grime and sand off the lamp and set it on the table so they could all examine it.

"Yep that's definitely got the Mystic Symbol on it," said Maddie.

"Maybe there is more writing," said Nick picking up the cloth and rubbing the top of the lamp and blowing off the sand that came loose.

He leaned in for a closer look but jumped back as the lamp started to rattle and shake. The lid come off and a plume of white smoke floated to the side and when it cleared a white and gold cat stood before them.

I am the great genie, Jenji, "It announced. "I grant you one wish.

"Genie?" asked Xander.

"Got a problem with that?" Jenji asked defensively as it held up its hands/paws in front of him.

"Well no, no," said Xander reflecting his stance.

"Good," Jenji said lowering his hands. "I hate violence."

"Now here are the rules: you're the master, I'm the genie. You get one wish, you can't hurt anyone with it, blah, ba, blah."

"A real-life genie…" said Chip amazed. "I always wanted one."

Novi and Vida laughed as Vida punched him on the shoulder playfully.

"One wish and don't take all day got a lot of other things to do like sit in a cave for another 19 YEARS," he complained loudly.

"Are you blaming us?" demanded Vida.

Oh so now it's blame the big cat," Jenji retorted.

"So one wish right?" asked Xander trying to defuse the tension.

"Airplanes, Balloons, Cash, DVDs- not pirated, Elephants, Ferns, Gold, Houses, Igloos, Jade, Kites, Limes, Moats, Necklaces, Opals, Polo Ponies, Quills, Roast Beef, Six Silver Saddles, Texas, Underwear, Vases, Whales, Xylophones, Yaks and Zippers," Jenji took a deep breath before he continued. "' A to Z' anything your heart desires."

"I know," said Chip stepping forward. Nick put a hand out to stop him but he pushed it away. "I wish for ten wishes for each of us."

"Granted— Like nobody's wished for that before," he muttered under his breath.

Novi and the others cheered at Chip's wish and Xander stepped forward rubbing his hands together. He then held them out. "I wish for one hundred diamonds."

"You haven't washed your hands in a while, have you?" Jenji asked looking down at them.

"Nothing happened!" said Xander.

"Of course not! You only had one wish. Carrot top wished for ten wishes for each of us, I granted it thereby and henceforth nullifying any further wishes. Hey, it's in the genie contract.

"Oh, that's bogus. I doubt you even have the power to grant wishes," Novi challenged.

"What?"

Oh, is that a dragon's egg, cause I'm hungry," said Jenji catching sight of Claire carrying the egg back into the room.

"Yes it is," said Claire.

"Can someone say omelet?" said Jenji

"Does you-know-who know that you brought home a stray cat?" asked Claire.

"Don't worry, I don't think we are going to keep it," said Nick.

"It's about to hatch, someone sits on it. It's uncomfortable but it's the only way," said Jenji.

Claire gently set the egg back on the raised nest they had made for it and Vida and Novi helped her climb up so she was sat on the egg. They held her hands until she found her balance.

"Good, Good," said Jenji as he walked around to observe. " Now the important thing is you can't get off the egg until it hatches, okay?"

"And you couldn't have lead with that because?" said Novi glancing over at Claire.

"And how long will that take?" asked Claire.

"Well a few minutes, couple of days, sometimes a month, anything up to thirty or forty years," he said.

"What?" said Claire nervously.

Behind them, the gong sounded and they rushed over to the crystal to see a mass of dark energy in the city.

"Evil never sleeps," said Nick. "We have to go."

"Okay well have fun, play safe. I'll be gone by the time you get back, bye," Jenji called after them.

"Unh-uh, no way!" said Nick as he doubled back and picked up the lamp. "You owe us wishes."

"What about the contract?" Jenji stuttered.

"Back in the lamp, you're coming with us," said Nick.

"Fine but you should know that when it comes to fighting—" he trailed off as Nick opened the top and he was sucked back inside. "I'm just a kitten." He finished sticking his head out of the top.

Actually, I forgot my keys…someone should keep an eye on me…do you want me to sit on the egg?" Jenji said from inside the lamp as Nick was dragged around the room. He finally clutched the lamp to his chest to stop Jenji.

"That cat is more trouble than he's worth, maybe you should just leave him since he is clearly a scaredy-cat," Novi said.

They reached the city center to see a dark cloud floating with Lightning crackling from it.

Novi felt a shudder run down her spine, whatever this was it was powerful and full of dark energy.

"Whoa, look at that! I have never seen anything like it," said Vida.

Nick arrived last still struggling against Jenji. He stopped as Nick got close and he poked his head out of the top of the lamp to take a look.

"Well, this was fun. What do you say we go home, grab a pillow, get under the covers and hide."

At last, the Power Rangers," came a voice from inside the cloud and a figure appeared before them as it continued to speak. "Let me introduce myself. I am the destroyer of your world. I am Imperious, Dark Wizard of the Underworld.

"Don't call yourself a wizard," said Nick stepping forward. "Wizards use their magic to help people."

"Your witch, Udonna has misled you Red Wizard, magic is for fulfilling your own desires. Come to my world and learn what real power is."

"Thanks for the invite but I already know what your 'real power' is and it isn't all that great," said Novi.

"Not a chance," agreed Nick.

Imperious simply turned his fan and pointed it at them and they were blasted with dark energy which knocked them to the ground. Novi could feel Solar stir deep within her as she could sense this new power.

"I just remembered we have a genie in here, who owes us some wishes. I just rub it and wish him to help us," Nick said as he furiously rubbed the lamp.

"Sorry I just granted my own wish…to leave," said Jenji as the lamp leaped from Nick's hands and jumped away.

"Some genie you are, fine I'll do it myself," said Nick pulling out his magi staff he charged at Imperious.

Novi watched as he swung the blade down towards Imperious but as it got close he vanished all they could hear was his laughter coming from all directions.

"A better question is where are you going?" Imperious asked from behind Nick. Nick spun around and Imperious put a finger on Nick's helmet and he was blasted backward.

"Now you are going to have to deal with Xander," he said as he drew out his own staff. "Vine power!" he commanded as vines shot out and wrapped around Imperious lifting him into the air.

"You can't be…Help!" Imperious called out before he laughed. "Mejura!" As he spoke the vines around him vanished and he floated back to the ground. "You should be doing your magic at children's parties," Imperious mocked as he used Xander's attack against him and blasted him back. "Next!"

"Let see how you handle tornado power," said Vida as the wind around her picked up and she became a pink swirling vortex.

"I don't think so. Bombosa!" Imperious again copied her magic and became a black tornado that collided with Vida knocking her out of balance as the pink vortex wobbled and Vida lost control and was knocked away.

"V!" Novi called out as she rushed to her side, she looked up at Imperious and she spoke with a voice that wasn't quite her own.

"If you want to play with fire, you better be prepared to get burnt."

Novi charged at him unleashing a wave of dark magic. It caught Imperious off guard as it slammed into him and he stumbled but remained on his feet.

"Impressive. I see a hint of darkness inside of you. Surely your powers could be better suited in service to the master, rather than trying to protect this miserable planet," Imperious said low enough the others couldn't hear.

"I serve no one," Novi hissed back as she brought her magi staff out and fired another blast at him.

This time he was better prepared to deflect her magic back at her. She was knocked back against a wall, crumbling to the ground in a heap.

"You better cool it," said Maddie directing a jet of water at him.

"Entoa!" Imperious called waving his fan as a tornado appeared absorbing her attack and Maddie was swept up into it before it vanished as she plummeted to the ground.

"Try and stop this," said Chip summoning his lightning and firing it at Imperious but he caught it and sent it back at Chip.

"How?" said Chip

"I have stronger magic," Imperious explained.

"That's it," said Nick getting to his feet "Power of the Phoenix!" he called out as he rose and turned into a flaming bird he flew at Imperious but he caught Nick by the hand and threw him away and he landed hard on the ground in front of them.

"I was misled to believe that you would be a more powerful adversary, but only one of you even came close to posing a threat. Udonna has not chosen wisely, but I will show you real power!" as Imperious spoke the last sentence he grew larger and larger.

"Oh yeah, well we have a few tricks too," said Nick as he and the other rose to their feet.

"Galwit Mystio Provior!"

The six teens entered the code into their morphers to shift into their titan mode then formed the Megazord however even in this form they only stood as high and the top of Imperious's foot.

"Pathetic," he called out as he kicked the Megazord and then sailed backward and landed hard on the ground.

The rangers righted themselves and rose into the air as a symbol appeared above them but before they could reach it, Imperious knocked them out of the air and they crashed to the ground. Inside the consoles sparked as the rangers stood up.

"We aren't done yet," said Nick as they once again righted the Megazord, opening the wings again and flew into the air. "Titan Megazord Full power!"

It is time to end this," said Imperious as he raised the fan to strike them but he stopped as Jenji rose behind them.

"Who's a big cat now. Alright who's your daddy now mummy?" he asked holding up his hands. Look at this, Look at this, what's in my hands?"

"Foolish cat!"

"Wrong! Power Rangers," said Jenji as he opened up his hands and the Megazord flew at Imperious slashing their sword in his face. He stumbled back holding his face.

"You were lucky," he sneered looking back up at them. "Take this!"

He held up his fan but nothing happened as he suddenly groaned clutching his arm holding the fan.

"Take what?" asked Jenji.

"My magic is still weak from my time in the cave," Imperious muttered. "My apologies for not destroying you as promised but I will," he said then he turned around and vanished. The rangers and Jenji powered down as they picked up his lamp cheering his name as they walked. Maddie and Xander left them to go check on Toby and Phineas while Novi and the rest headed back to Rootcore with Jenji's lamp.

Later that day after Udonna had returned the others snuck outside with Jenji while Vida and Novi distracted Udonna before leading her outside.

"We have a surprise for you waiting outside," said Novi excitedly.

"Yes but you have to cover your eyes until we say," added Vida.

Okay," said Udonna covering her eyes and the pair started to lead her outside giggling as they walked.

"Can't you just tell me the surprise?" Udonna asked.

"Noo," said Vida.

"That would spoil the fun," said Novi.

"Alright," said Maddie once the three were outside. "We hope you like pets because we have a new cat," said Maddie with a giggle

"You can open your eyes," said Chip.

"It's me, I'm the cat," said Jenji.

"Jenji!" Udonna said smiling as she rushed forward to hug him.

"Udonna, you haven't aged a day," said Jenji embracing her tightly.

"I think we can keep him," said Xander.

"Uh-huh," Vida agreed.

"I've missed you so much," Udonna said holding him out to look at him. "Where have you been?" she asked.

"Well you see—" Jeni started to explain but Udonna grabbed him, her face turning grave.

"Daggeron? Bowen? Do you know where Bowen is?"

"No you see—"Jeni tried again to explain but was cut off as Claire's frightened voice come from inside.

"Somebody help me, Somebody!"

Everyone rushed inside to see the egg Claire was sitting on violently rocking as it pitched forward and Claire was thrown off it as the egg cracked and a tiny dragon emerged from within it. It cooed at it looked around at them all.

"Ooh!" Vida whispered.

"Waste of a perfectly good omelet," said Jenji.

"He is so adorable," Novi said in a hushed tone.

"Mama," it cooed as its gaze landed on Claire.

Claire drew back and the others laughed as the dragon stretched out its wings and yawned before it curled up, tucking its head under its wing.
