The three genin had been waiting for almost two hours and still there was no sign of Kakashi.

It was a bright sunny morning. The sky was a beautiful shade of blue and the leaves danced in the wind. Sasuke looked over at Naruto his heart full of unbearable guilt. The blonde haired boy had so much determination in his eyes that Sasuke wanted to make sure he passed along with him.

'Why can't I get rid of these emotions? They're annoying and so distracting. And that sensei of ours is late' Sasuke thought.He stood with his arms crossed, growing impatient by the second.

"What's taking so long?! I thought he was the one who told us not to be late!" Naruto complained. He was anxious about the test and wanted to get it over with as soon as possible.

"I'm starving. Why did he tell us not to eat breakfast?" Sakura groaned.

All of a sudden Kakashi appeared out of nowhere. He was just standing there and no one knew how he had arrived at the spot.

"Sensei, you're late!" Naruto said. "Calm down. I had important stuff to do." Kakashi said. "Now that we're all here, let's begin."

After 4 hours of chasing the silver haired jonin, the three genin were exhausted. Sasuke and Sakura sat on the soft green grass panting, while Naruto was tied to a post. He complained loudly despite his grumbling stomach. Kakashi stood in front of them and thought 'Can these three really do it?' "Alright I'll give you another chance, but you'll only have three hours to get a bell. Eat now to build up strength but Naruto doesn't get any." he stated.

"Huh?! But why?" Naruto whined his stomach growling loudly.
"It's your punishment for breaking the rules and trying to steal lunch. O and if anyone feeds him they'll immediately be disqualified. I make the rules. Understood? " he said sternly. With that he disappeared into the woods.

Naruto gulped. 'Man I can't even get one of those bells if I have an empty stomach. I'm doomed' he thought sadly, a cloud hanging over his head. Meanwhile Sasuke and Sakura began eating their lunch. Naruto watched them and his mouth watered and he drooled.

Sasuke looked at Naruto through the corner of his eyes. They hadn't talked since yesterday and Sasuke felt bad. 'Well if he doesn't eat, he'll just slow us down' he thought. 'And...

Naruto had such a depressed and hopeless face that Sasuke couldn't help as his heart ached. His blue eyes were dull, just like when he had failed the genin exams a few days ago."Don't you worry Sasuke I'll catch up to you in no time!" he had said back then with a beautiful smile on his face.

Sasuke sighed. "Here" he said offering his lunchbox. He felt in his heart that it was the right thing to do. "But Sasuke, Kakashi sensei said we couldn't feed him" Sakura said.
"It's alright I don't sense his presence anymore. Besides if he doesn't eat he'll just slow us down." he said. "Open your mouth, dobe" he ordered.

Naruto looked at Sasuke with his eyes wide open. 'He's being nice to me?' he thought. 'But why? I thought he hated me.'

"Here!" Sakura also offered her lunch. "I guess I'll have to feed you too." "Alright!" Naruto shouted, excited that Sakura would be feeding him.

Sakura followed after Sasuke and they took turns feeding him. Naruto gobbled up whatever he was fed like a starving pig.

'This is awesome! Sakura's feeding me. Heh heh. She fed me with her chopsticks so it's like an indirect kiss!" Naruto thought smiling like an idiot. He turned around and took another bite that Sasuke fed him. He munched happily, chewing with delight before realization struck him.

'Wait...Sasuke fed me...with...his chopsticks. So...'

The image of the accidental kiss that had happened yesterday flashed in his mind. 'No...no...no no no NO!' Naruto blushed. 'Man I can't stop thinking about that!' He closed his eyes and tried to think of something else.

"Oi are you listening? Open your mouth. Do I have to tell you to do that?" Sasuke said. Naruto blushed slightly and he munched on some rice that he was fed, quietly. He looked at Sasuke with the most adorably innocent eyes. He looked at Sasuke's brown eyes, the eyes that were so piercing. He looked at his pale skin and remembered when he had bit his neck. He looked across his face and then at his lips. 'That's right. I kissed...his lips' he thought. He looked closely and saw that Sasuke's lips were a little pale but...'definitely kisssable' he thought all of a sudden.

'SASUKE'S A GUY WHY WOULD I EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!' he panicked. Naruto's face flushed and his cheeks turned pink. He quickly turned his face in Sakura's direction. He tried to calm himself down and push those thoughts away. Then after Sakura was done feeding Naruto she ate by herself. Naruto carefully looked over at Sasuke. His heart was racing and he was extremely nervous. 'Why do I feel like this?' he thought.

He looked at Sasuke's eyes that looked back at him curiously and Naruto's face turned red. 'I can't imagine things like that...not with...Sasuke.' he thought. He looked at Sasuke and gulped.

'Is he blushing?' Sasuke was surprised. He looked at Naruto who was clearly avoiding eye contact. His eyes...his eyes were like the morning sky while his hair was like the rising sun. It was an interesting observation that Sasuke made and he didn't know what made him think of it like that.

'He looks...adorable' he thought, and couldn't deny his thoughts. He grabbed some meat from his lunchbox. He took the chopsticks to Naruto's mouth. Up until now he had only been fed rice by Sasuke so Naruto was delighted. He opened his mouth wide open and tried to eat. Sasuke however pulled back at the last second. Naruto blinked a couple of times before he shouted "Hey! Gimme that! Don't mess with me Sasuke!" He pouted his lips angrily.

Sasuke smirked. He liked seeing Naruto in such a helpless situation. It was unbearably cute. He let his thoughts flow and didn't deny them. He moved his chopsticks over to Naruto's mouth but Sasuke pulled back again. "Hey!" Naruto whined, frustrated.

"Say the magic word." Sasuke said. Naruto looked at him in disbelief. Sasuke stared right back him. Naruto gulped and pouted angrily once again.

"Please" he finally managed to say. Sasuke gave the boy his reward and Naruto ate it with delight. He happily munched on the meat with his cute and adorable face.

Sasuke smiled. It was a soft, beautiful smile. Naruto looked at it and his heart went wild. 'Sasuke looks so beautiful. Why doesn't he always smile like that?' he thought.

Sasuke took some more food from his lunchbox to feed him. Again, Sasuke took his chopsticks to Naruto's mouth who tried to eat it, but Sasuke pulled back. They did this several times. Naruto pouted angrily and had to be nice to Sasuke in order to get his reward, which included the food and a smile from Sasuke that made him stare at Sasuke in awe. Naruto stopped eating from Sakura who wondered why he was only eating from Sasuke.

Sasuke kept feeding Naruto. He then realised that there was some rice on his lips. He took his thumb and brushed it off. This slight movement made Naruto's lip tingle and he thought about the kiss. Again.

'Ahhh! I can't stop thinking about it!' Naruto blushed again. Sasuke saw it and he smiled. He stroked Naruto's cheek. By now Naruto was all red and steaming.. He was really nervous and he didn't have the guts to look at Sasuke in the eye.

From the shadows Kakashi watched the two of them. 'Iruka told me they were rivals. They treated each other like mortal enemies. They usually don't get along. That's what he told me. So what's going on here?' he thought.

Instantly Kakashi regretted thinking about Iruka. He couldn't forget Iruka's smiling face and the way he looked when he blushed and how his lips...

Kakashi shook his head. 'Watching those two is gonna get me depressed. I'll deal with my thoughts later.'

"YOU!" he said appearing in front of the genin with his chidori flashing around him. The three genin were startled and they stood guard, ready to fight. "Why you..." Kakashi seemed to have lost his temper.

Sasuke tried to stay calm. No way was he going to fail and he didn't want Naruto to either...

"Look you're the one who said that this test was about teamwork" Sasuke said boldly. "We can't work together if he drags us down" he said pointing at Naruto.

"Huh? What's that supposed to mean?" Naruto shouted angrily.

"Yes Sensei. He's a part of our team. We won't abandon him!" Sakura said hoping to attract Sasuke's attention.

Kakashi smiled under his mask. 'Well looks like I've found the students who I hoped I would fine one day'

"You pass!" he announced.
Naruto: "Huh?"
Sakura: "What?"
Sasuke blinked.

"Alright!" Naruto shouted with joy. "We pass? Are you serious Sensei?"

"Yes. In the shinobi world, those who break the rules are scum, but those who abandon their comrades are worst than scum. Starting tomorrow Team 7 begins its first mission!"

Sakura smiled joyfully. Sasuke was just glad that they managed to pass.

They quickly packed their things and were ready to go home.

"Um hello! I think you're forgetting something! Would somebody untie me!" Naruto shouted. "Come on!"

Sasuke sighed and turned around. He walked towards Naruto, took out a kunai knife and swiftly cut the ropes. "You're hopeless" he said. "Hmph" Naruto scoffed. The blonde haired boy was still nervous in front of Sasuke. He felt it again. The rush of emotions that made his chest tighten and made him very self-aware.

The beast inside the cage opened his eye. The rush of emotions had made its chakra leak slightly.

"This brat. He's so clueless" it scoffed. "It's that Uchiha kid huh." The beast chuckled. "Perhaps I can take advantage of this and have a little fun when I get the chance." The beast chuckled once more.

Naruto was startled for a moment. "Did...did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Sauske said. Naruto replied "Someone laughed and it was so creepy."

"Creepy?! Stupid little brat."

Naruto heard it loud and clear. "There, didn't you hear that?"
Sasuke frowned "No."
Naruto was confused. 'Am I hallucinating?'

"Are you just going to stand there, Naruto?" Sasuke said from a distance. "Come on dobe".

"You want him don't you?"

Naruto heard the voice sneering at him. It chilled him down to the bone. 'Who is that?' he thought.

"Sasuke Uchiha.."

Naruto freaked out. 'No...it can't be. Is this...the nine tails?' he thought fearfully. He stumbled and almost tripped on himself but managed to stand. He panicked and he didn't know what to do. 'I should go home' he thought. "I'm leaving." he said hurriedly before running off.

Sasuke didn't go after him but he sensed something was off. He looked...scared all of a sudden. But he decided that it was probably just him being angry and embarrassed. Sasuke caught up with the others and they discussed shortly about meeting up tomorrow for their first mission.

"Also. Sasuke, make sure to inform Naruto. I don't know why he ran off but he should be informed. Alright then, that's all." 'Let's see how that goes' he thought. "See ya" he said and disappeared with a *poof*.

Now there was only Sasuke and Sakura left. Sakura was nervous and kept fidgeting with her nails. 'O Sasuke..'

"Sakura" Sasuke said. Sakura was startled. "Ummm yes Sasuke?" she stammered.
"Where does Naruto live?" he asked.

"O Naruto? Well...I think he lives near the Hokage's building." she replied. She gave Sasuke some directions and described his house, since Sakura was the one who had dragged Naruto to come in the morning after not arriving.

"Alright then. I'm going" he said. "Can I come with you?" Sakura asked. "No" Sasuke said. "I'll go by myself. You don't need to come."

Sakura had a dark cloud above her head. 'Aw come on. I wanted to spent some more time with Sasuke.'

Sasuke began walking home. On his way he bought some groceries and some items he thought he might need for a mission. By the time he was done, the sun was just starting to set. He looked at the sun and the image of Naruto's cute and adorable face as he fed him popped into his mind. He then remembered seeing Naruto scared. 'What was that about?' he wondered. 'Is he scared of something? That voice he was talking about...' Suddenly he remembered the day when he had held Naruto in his arms as he cried his heart out.

Sasuke clicked his tongue. 'When did I start worrying about that fool' he thought annoyed. Nonetheless he stuffed everything he had in his backpack and walked in the direction of Naruto's house.

Sauske had been walking for about thirty minutes. He was now walking down a small street. The sun had gone down and it was starting to get darker by the minute. He sighed 'Where does that idiot live?' He was about to cross a small alleyway but stopped abruptly after hearing a frightened voice.

"No...please. Please don't do this" the voice pleaded. It was obvious that he was crying. "AH!" There came a scream. "DON'T...I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!"

"PLEASE!" he begged.

It took a few moments for Sasuke to realize that the voice belonged to Naruto.
