Sasuke was starting to lose his patience.

While walking home both of them started getting hungry. Despite having had brunch at 10 in the morning (especially since Naruto seemingly almost ate the bowl), the blonde was already whining saying that he might starve to death. When Sauske told him to shut up, they ended up in a heated argument.

Finally they arrived at Sasuke's house. They went in and Naruto slumped on the floor which had a straw mat spread out in it. Then he grabbed a comfy pillow and sighed "Phew! That was exhausting".

Sasuke proceeded to take out of he groceries and began planning for dinner. He stole a glance at Naruro who was curled up on the floor with an exhausted look on his face. Sasuke smiled finding the sight amusing and adorable.

Since the weather was unbearably hot, Sauske opened the windows and the doors to the balcony. He then went back inside the kitchen and decided on something.

As Sauske worked, Naruto stared at the sky through the balcony. He reflected on his thoughts and emotions while smiling. He realised that for the time the feeling of dread and anxiety weighing down on him since he was a child, had eased so much. Being with Sasuke, he felt much more strong willed and confident. Every time Sasuke treated him and cared for him, his heart felt lighter and it was as if the Uchiha had somehow...

Before he could finish the thought his stomach grumbled loudly. 'Oh man. Why am I so hungry?' he thought.

"Hey Sasuke! Don't you have any snacks?" Naruto whined.
Sasuke looked over at him and said "Just wait".

Naruto made a sound which sounded like an angry and disappointed growl. He lay back down on the mat and rested his head on the pillow. His stomach continued to growl.

Soon after, while Naruto was plucking the straw mat, a delicious smell reached his nose. His stomach growled yet again, so he sat upright and sniffed the air.

Sauske walked over with two plates. Naruro stretched his neck to have a look and saw that the plates were full of fried sausages. His eyes widened and sparkled. His mouth watered and he laughed cheekily. Sasuke gestured towards the balcony. "Come on. They'll cool faster outside" he said.
"Alright!" Naruto said excitedly.

They went outside to sit a long wooden bench. They put their plates on either side and started eating. Sasuke has put toothpicks on them to be able to pick. Naruto stabbed multiple sausages, lined them up and gobbled them down.

They sat in silence for a while before Naruto asked "Hey Sasuke? What're you going to do after you've done all the things you want to do in life?"

Sasuke looked across the balcony. It faced west, overlooking a garden that belonged to the neighbours. He pondered about what Naruto had asked. "I don't know" he said.

Naruto glanced at him. "Well...once I become Hokage, people will acknowledge me and trust me. When that happens I'll protect everyone and make sure nobody ends up like us" he said with a smile.

Sasuke stared at him and looked up at the sun. "A family... that would be...comforting" he whispered.

Then all of a sudden Naruto gasped "Wow! So pretty!"

Sauske followed his line of sight. Above the garden a swarm of dragonflies had appeared. They flew around, glinting beautifully golden in the sun. It was as though they carried tiny mirrors on their bodies. With a whole swarm of them above the garden, they looked mesmerising and magical.

"What are they?" Naruto asked.
"Dragonflies..." Sasuke replied
"Hmmm...They look amazing" Naruto said dreamily. He had never seen or at least been able to enjoy something like this before. Especially being with someone who cared for him and comforted him.

As both of them took in the marvellous sight, Sauske realised that he must've seen dragonflies almost every summer. Yet it was only now that he enjoyed it. All because of one person who made him remember what it felt like to have a family. Sasuke looked over at Naruto and and felt something sink into his bones as he saw the blonde smiling and marvelling the scene.

Relief.
That's what it was. Knowing that Naruto was smiling.

At that exact moment Naruto repositioned his hands so he could relax. He ended up brushing his fingers on Sasuke's hand.

Sasuke's heartbeat immediately started quickening. Once again he looked at the blonde and instinct alone controlled his mind.

Sasuke moved his hand on top of Naruto's. Naruto felt the Uchiha's hand on his own and snuck a peek. He smiled, feeling a rush of emotions so great that he stopped thinking.

Then all of a sudden he shifted closer to Sauske and rested his head on his shoulder.

Sasuke was surprised but...it wasn't uncomfortable. In fact he felt very...satisfied. Both of them continued watching the dragonflies.

Before he could doubt his thoughts Sasuke had removed his hand from Naruto's and instead wrapped it around the blonde, pulling him closer. Naruto happily snuggled closer and he took his other hand and grabbed Sasuke's free hand.

Sasuke gave a small smile and began stroking his tangled blonde hair. Naruto hummed in satisfaction and felt his heart warm.

They stayed there for a while looking at the dragonflies. Naruto then asked "Sasuke?...Why do you think...we ended up the way we are? Why isn't there anyone who wants us and loves us?"

Sasuke's heart clenched and he was at a loss for words. He tried to answer, but no of the replies seemed to truly explain anything. So instead of answering the first question, he answered the second.

"Hey. Are you forgetting that I'm here dobe?" Sasuke said ruffling Naruto's hair.

Hearing his words Naruto smiled feeling ever so glad for the first time in his life. He smiled beautifully, his dull eyes shiny with happiness for the first time. His soul felt as though a cage had been lifted from it.

"Well...as long as I have you with me, it wouldn't matter even if the entire world decides to hate me" said Naruto.

Naruto's words made Sasuke's heart flutter wildly. His chest felt as though there were tiny flowers blooming and then exploding inside him. His mind thought only of the boy who lay on his shoulder.

A sudden rush of desire erupted inside him. Sasuke pulled Naruto closer to him, looking deeply into his eyes.

In the fraction of a second Naruto looked back and felt his heart jump as he stared into his onyx eyes. Those eyes that showed adoration and...love.

Sauske moves his head forwards. His lips brushed on Naruto's cheek where he planted a soft kiss...

"And the same goes for you" said Sasuke, smiling.

Naruto's chest tightened in an instant, his stomach gave a full flip and he blushed, without knowing why. That smile and those words made him feel so exhilarated. Naruto's heartbeat went wild and he was suddenly very aware of his cheek. It tingled strangely as though the skin could still feel it. With Sasuke's arm around him he felt his cheeks getting warmer. 'Wha...why do I feel funny?' he thought.

He was interrupted however by a knock on the door.

Sasuke looked over to see something being slid though the bottom of the door. It was a peice of paper which Sasuke suspected must've come from the landlady.

He got up (much to the disappointment of Naruto) and went to the door. He picked up the piece of paper and unfolded it. Scrawled hastily was a note from the landlady:

To Sasuke Uchiha,
We'd like to inform you that the water supply has been cut off since it is drought season. It is expected to return tomorrow. Only 3/4 of the water remains. We advise you to use the remaining water sparingly.

Landlady, Sachiko

Sasukeclickedhis tongue in annoyance. "Again? And just when I have someone else in the house" he said.

Naruto looked over at him curiously. "What is it?" he asked.

"There's not enough water" Sasuke said. "It might be enough for dinner and tomorrow's breakfast but..."
"What is it?" Naruto asked again.

"There's not enough for both of us to take a shower" he finally said.

As Sasuke tried to think of a solution, an idea surfaced in Naruto's mind. It was absurd but...

"Hey if we both can't shower then..." Naruto began.
"What?" Sasuke asked.
"We could just go together" Naruto suggested, shrugging his shoulders.

Sasuke opened his mouth but his words came out. He swallowed, a nervous feeling rising in his chest. "Alright" he said as calmly as he could. It was the only solution after all. There was no way they could wait until tomorrow morning.

Sasuke picked up the plates and took them to the kitchen, then came back with two towels and some fresh clothes.
"Right. Hurry up" he said.

Sasuke opened the door to the bathroom and Naruto stepped inside with him. Sasuke put the clothes and towels on a high shelf then went and opened the tap on the wooden bathtub letting it fill.

Naruto quickly began taking off his clothes. He peeled of his shirt (Sasuke's actually) and then the rest. "Oh man I'm so sweaty" he said.

Sasuke looked at him from the corner of his eye as he checked the water temperature. Something about seeing Naruto like that...

'God. What am I thinking?!' thought Sasuke. He quickly turned off the tap and went to get the soap and shampoo.

When he turned around, Naruto had already immersed himself in the water. The boy let out a satisfactory sigh. Then he saw Sasuke and said "You coming?"

Sasuke merely nodded. He set the shampoo and soap nearby. Then, he took off his shirt in one swift move.

Naruto stared at him. His stomach flipped backwards and then his heart followed suit.

The young Uchiha had a very well built body. There was no doubt he trained a lot, considering his muscles and those abs of his. Naruto couldn't help but stare and feel his heart being tugged from inside.

Sasuke then took off everything else. Naruto suddenly felt his chest twisting and being rolled like sushi. His heart was starting to beat uncontrollably fast and he was feeling embarrassed all of a sudden.

"Oi dobe, quit staring it's rude" Sasuke said.
"Oh...uh..." Naruto took a deep breath. "It's just...you sure do train a lot". He blushed, feeling his cheeks warm. He sank deeper into the water hoping that his face would cool off.

Sasuke didn't notice it and lowered himself in the water. He felt the coolness of the water on his skin and closed his eyes, resting on his back.

Naruto tried to suppress his nervous and embarrassed emotions. But his heart was beating way too fast and his chest now felt like sparkles were zooming inside him desperately trying to jump out.

As he looked at Sasuke, he noticed that the bite mark on his cheek, which he had shown this morning was no longer there.

"Oh yeah. I didn't see it when we were out shopping either" Naruto said out loud.

Sasuke opened his eyes and asked "What?"
"The bite mark" Naruto said hurriedly.

Sasuke rubbed his hand over his cheek and confirmed it. "It sure healed fast" he said.

Naruto for some reason had an unexplainable desire to replace it. He almost felt...disappointed. He wondered why that was as he continued to look at the young Uchiha.

Pale skin, well built body and jet black hair that looked beautiful even when it was wet. The moment Sasuke spread out his arms to relax, Naruto felt goosebumps all over his body and the hairs at the back of his neck rising. He suddenly felt like...

Like what?

'Like going into his arms. And running your hands through his hair' a voice whispered in his mind. Naruto was unsettled by the fact that the voice did not belong to the Nine Tails.

Even so, Naruto felt something warm and fuzzy in his chest. He just couldn't resist the feeling of wanting to go over to Sasuke. 'It feels like...I'm a magnet' he thought. 'And magnets are supposed to be attracted to each other...'

...

'ATTRACTED?!'

Naruto's face turned into a deep shade of pink as he continued to stare at Sasuke.
