Ami would wake up, eventually. Right now, the zombies outside were nothing compared to the shadow -born puppeteers which had the humans of Japan enslaved and under their darkened fingertips.
Kaede shoved open the door to the temple; seeing there that Koko had been with her the entire time. Ami was finally breathing alright again. Something good must have happened -like Lothos's magic weakening elsewhere.

A few flights away in the heart of New York City….
A couple of stray hairs off the back of her neck had left the dog of the big apple miffed upon her rise in the early morning.
~I sense a really bad storm. ~ The guardian of New York swung her legs over the side of the bed. She was not in the mood for an early summer. Right now, the phone on her night side table had been buzzing non-stop.
~It's five a.m.…. Who's up around this time? ~
She pounced onto the stupid beeper and shut it off to silent with one, hastened tap.*
~Thank goodness! –
As if that had NOT been enough to put her into a sour mood, the ringtone from our ally's cell started to reverberate noisily at max pitch. It played a television sized snippet of Andre Grotto's World Tour Fantastica; she'd not gotten tickets because of the pop star's desire to stay in London and the U.K. It was from her last month's bestselling song on App-Tunes.
"No way in hell" was the title. What an interesting twist!
Again…It rang.
It was on, again! Covering her ears was not good enough. Groaning, our protagonist ally grabbed the device and rushed out of her room… right into an adjoined bathroom inside her cubby sized dorm and as if –
As soon as her eyes had fully opened, the young guardian took to her slippers and ran to the separate bathroom, right of her dorm room; hoping no to wake one roommate who never rose until eight a.m., exactly.
~What? Why are you getting' at me this early? C'mon, Shoji! You know I can't be all crazy up at five on one of your boy's secret kill- missions. You even said –
~I also didn't tell you about the enemy coming back for more punishment. We have a situation in Tokyo, so I hope your barrier is holding up every sidewalk in that city that YOU swore to protect. ~
Her dark eyes flashed back at the screen; only being on speaker, that made the younger guardian's work limited (as far as receiving far - away calls from some other dimension.)
~Then listen an' listen good; I may be a Wood an' earth Elemental who's still trying to get into her second year of college, but you can't consider me as an equal? Aren't we related? My daddy was super pissed off about how you messed with my big cousin Vespa. She's this close to taking over where you guys tried and failed. ~
~Cybill…. By all means, please blame the council on that one. ~ With her name now revealed at long last, the girl twisted her many kinks back; swinging her fussy 'fro' from between her crusted eyes.
~You don't like it? Then talk to my boss. I'm not goanna take orders from you. An' is that Kay? Where are you two? Window shoppin'? ~ Cybill cocked her head to the side, staring at Kay in the background - now more than just of her specific concern for the mission to move smooth as molasses.
~Puleeze!~ She heaved a sigh and continued to hit the kitty where it ached.
~You are honestly….Going to end up next. ~
The cat beat her to it before her lips could start up with the insults.
~ Besides Berlin and Paris being untouched for now, ~ He continued; ~The only other city that has not gotten swallowed up by those gorgons' spells is –
~We are fighting, the real - ass – fucking, Titians? Are you serious? You -Ah, whoa, whoa! Hold up. ~
Cybill's look came as a shock to Shoji. Had she not gotten the memo that Berlin had a guardian elemental of Metal and Paris one of Fire?
~ I am an embodiment of freakin' Rhea, Cybele, whatever, but you don't' even see my side of the story? I STILL feel like a Dang' log, an' last night – that magical crap takes a lot outta you by the way… Ah! I'm…Urgh! Seriously! I am not playin' around! An' dogs? ~
She had the two mutts silenced until the diva had gotten her time left to vent.
~ WE had better be on the same level. I'm no goddang' bull - shitter like you. I at least know how to keep my city safe. ~ A future Santiago with that capable stance; she was a strong and independent millennial nestled into in the big city. Where hope seemed to wax and wane every day for the lives of its citizens.
~And we cannot thank you enough for keeping the peace in the big apple…~ Vee seethed impatiently, being a punching bag to a kid younger than his last life -line was all part of the job description.
~All of us are in our own –
~Then why don't ya just bring the big baddies to New York and have me cut em' loose? ~ Cybill proposed with a frown and a doubtful perspective of the latest flop these dogs would have at her shores by morning, give or take ten hours.
~ You are predicting something? ~ Kay nudged Vee to let him speak.
~Heck yeah, I did. ~ Huffed the college student assuredly as she slowly opened her eyes, the vision lost from her sights again
~Cause, you guys are goanna fall from the inside out. At least if you get me to cough up what's goanna be what, I might get you out of that bad rap you'll eventually have to face. Any questions about that, dog - breath? ~
~No, but if you know who's going to start a fire before it burns out of control, be my guest. We are at your mercy, Oracle. ~
Vee didn't say much as Kay had never gotten on Cybill's bad side before. He'd been close with Vespa, so Ron and he were safe. But Vee, was a taboo topic to this serious acolyte. She'd been given this territory to keep out of trouble for a few years.
He'd however, lost his lands to a curse. While Kay was a Travelling relic; he never stayed out of the skies, let alone kept his feet on the ground. Ron was akin to thunder, as he and his mother came and went as quickly as this same natural phenomenon.
Where Sayu had sired kings, Vee had desired answers to his rites and had only been further disappointed by what he'd come to realize.
His mother still had her power, but like her son and like even Raku's mother, she was not exactly a witch with strong intentions. She'd settled down with a terrible king who saw the spirit for what she was. Like Raku, Veravakumu had been ridiculed for this all his days, even into adulthood. Due to his imperfect bloodline, he'd also been seen as a child of ill will; one bound to cause nothing but woe to his country and to his father's people.
His mother had eventually grown ill, whereas, Lilith had come in with young Veronica Bethel to sap the energies of that mighty lord, (once the king's last betrothed had lain still for good.)
While Verra was left to stay hidden and was protected later by monks, they only then noticed his magic's potential over the dark and unknown power of the mighty void of creation and rebirth.
Sorrow bred such power; while Lilith had only aided by setting salt into the wound that had been made fresh by Veravakumu's now, deceased father and his life- long cruelty. Since then, Verra had been able to train with the remaining holy - men of his country, then finding his rites among the many relatives his mother had kept hidden from her sorry son's lifetime.
After that? He'd mainly become a sort of loyal and royally blessed hit - man. He could travel to other voids by his energies and by the void's influence. He could also take on other forms.
Shadows are not formless, yet they are flexible in shape and size as the user requires them to be. Vespa was younger and had not been chosen to this role just yet, though her birth and rites dictated that she should outshine Shoji until he caved at her awesome might.
And of course, when Roku had finally been transformed by Lil's forever -bound curse, he'd been infested; granted a demon that he could not free from his very own shadow.
Verra, was that evil in form, though it turned out to have only been so corrupt by Roku's presence all the time. When the dragon had finally lost his edge, Verra had become more so a mascot without a team to cheer for.
That was, until he'd found the Titans of Earth to save his sorry kiester.
Back to the arc in chaos - time….
/
The link eventually broke in two, while both Kay and Hakuro stood behind the shady pup with their arms crossed. Both tutted to the other dog;
~We don't have enough power here to even GET to New York. ~ Kay reminded his bitterly disappointed ally. ~How did you even manage to come into contact, with that…tattle - tale? ~
~She's told us everything, enough to know who to look for in this city. ~ Hakuro frowned while he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. ~The Titan Nightwing is here, and he's been found by the fox called Vespa, like Madame Sayumon –
~No, just one. ~ Vee shook his head. Kay understood, yet they had yet to clue in Hakuro about, their last loss. Haru, the youngest was not able to make it back…
Kay nodded, speaking of the spirit -relic's worth and of her attributes not having been in vain. ..
~We first met in the Red - light district here. ~ Vee recalled her platform and gothic Lolita espionage outfit; her lit cigarette and her words too wise for someone with those wily features. At first, she'd been more so the voice of reason; the one who'd kept Amaterasu's temple together while Kaede was off losing her will to thrive under the goddess's vows. Kaede had almost been pulled in by Manifesto's promise; that Ami would not come between she and Haru in any way possible. That she'd find a way to grow out of her stuck - up position, as a high -orderly or as nothing at all (Manifesto pages arc.)
Haru had fought tooth and nail to protect all three; Kaede's mind, Ami -chan's powers and innocence, and her own will in the midst of a great war on chaos.
Haru was, a real hero out of the many who claimed themselves gods among the few chosen. She should have been a Kyubi nine- tails if not at the gates of the heavens to her realm.
~Then, who do we have to seek out here, now? ~ Hakuro asked, not hoping to break the silence right away.
~We can sense someone calling out. ~ Kay raised up his eyes to the air; past where a fighter jet from the human's base was attempting to control the monsters' pilgrimage with all it had left.
~Right. The Chosen and the Titans all are on these dogs' radars. ~ Vee smiled at his crew, though had to think back or rather, ahead when they'd finally be free of this violent threat for good.
~Ready? Then, the rescue mission is officially now, a- go! It's go-time, so I'm not waiting around for any 'divine revelation' to set this world back to the very beginning, are you? ~ With his fist to the air, this eventually was the cry of a war god he'd always known was there, waiting to have some of those glory days to keep it going until a brighter tomorrow waned to a close.

Ann's experience was of fire -though not the hottest kind. Her arms and legs were frozen, arms had dragged her to the full of her punishment; not mattering if her wings had scorch marks or her face tears that would not end, dripping down her two puffy cheeks.
~Your face is not ugly, my dear. Why do you cry at your success? ~ Lothos lowered Anna gently to the gritty ground; a failed aqueduct somewhere out of the view of her family, she shivered as if this were her home, her place to regret her refusal for peace. She hated what her poor, dumb brother had brought home with him. Like a wounded stray, Raku had ruined her sibling by keeping him from his family and friends.
A living parasite, that's all the dragon ever had acted like to her.
~I'm not going to be able, to apologize this time –
She was swerved round to face the devil that had taken her. He had features she'd never seen in him, a youth that he'd burned back into her irises before she'd had time to blink.
~You do not need to, that boy cared only for the lost king at his side. I fear this fact too, as I too am to blame for that –
~ You….! ~ She tried to twist from his grip. His pity was garbage – utter bull. He'd made Raku into the monster he'd become, with Lilu as a witness.
The crooked demon was after her. Her heart raced and soon, her heart bled fire to her veins and so on. She cried out; the pity an excuse to get seriously pissed off in her case!
~Stay away! ~ She screamed out with fire at her fingertips, due to the combustible power of a phoenix at her fingertips.
~I will not take you back…~ Grunted the rejected villain. ~Not like this, harpy girl!–
~I'm not! ~ Ann croaked as she fled by the beating of her tired wings. Their wafts were a caress softer than her landing had turned out. He was her enemy, never her caretaker.
~ Ah! ~ She held strongly to the air; something had tugged at her leg -matted by molting feathers as wet as her sweltering brow – for Lothos had used his craft to have her stay.
~You will return to my, employer…. In one big, piece! ~ He said roughly, rather demanding she listen.
~Don't cage me! ~ Ann swung her legs back and around, as she stayed from the ground in her airy comfort a moment longer. He could also levitate…. Was she going to win? Her new powers had her weighing the options in her head. She could attack and try to find a place to run and hide. Or, she could beat him once and for all before….
Her hair and eyes lit up.
~Make you pay! I'll make you…PAY! ~ Her fire was something more, her voice not her own. Her anger, was however hers to carry.
With a roaring 'CRAW' into the demon's view, she let her wings summon wind and flames to extinguish her pursuer from all sight and mind. He cried out, yet narrowly vanished without a trace at her hand. Leaving Anna trapped inside this maze of underground, dirtied tunnels. Her cell, now against all odds, her prison.
She slowly looked around with a wide-eyed glance and checked if Lothos was truly gone.
Run away, scared. She'd only been capable of those feats with her powers. Her mother's bolts were not as strong. She chose to never use them mostly for special reasons. Unless, unless this was the way she was now… forever …!
"No…." Anna's own mortal timber returned. She had her head in her hands as she readied her mind to shut down. "I'm…Dad! Mom! Ava! Ami! Help!...Aide! I'm… -
~Stop! ~
Anna gasped at that other voice; a voice much stronger than her blithering own.
Where was it? Who had –
A puddle of water turned to her view with a ripple on the ground as she stared into its depths.
~Ah! ~
She fell to the ground beside the shallow pool of dirty water. Her own face; her face as a guardian to come…. As the Chosen's help…. Her human body…Not, this….
It stared at her. Its arms were squarely crossed over its chest. A fire emblem stood atop this figure's solar staff she'd been granted by the fire bird's true power. What was this then? She had probably broken a rule not to hurt the CHOSEN. She grimaced and tried to pick up her wings. They refused to flap, as the wilted things would not budge. Finally, she gave in. She sat, looking deep into the pool in front of her.
"You, are me..." She proclaimed and pointed at her own puffy chest of feathers and frump.
The version within the glassy reflective pool huffed back;
~You still are! Cut this dramatic bull - crap out and get your act together –
"What? Don't you see this? "Anna tugged at herself and pointed at her fire - stilled wings.
"I'm not you anymore! I don't know how to be! –
~Excuses! ~ The other figure shook her head and frowned. ~You are just throwing a tantrum. And what did Dad always say we had to do to calm down? You do remember him, right? ~
"I…. Don't really want to, but yeah. I do. ~
The creature in the pool waved Anna on quickly to finish her sentence. ~Well? Then what did he say to you? To us? WE had to –
"Stay calm, to reflect on our actions –
~Wrong! You don't remember anything, sheesh! ~ The figure sighed and brought a palm to slap against its brow. ~Think harder, what did he tell you and Aiden when …...When you got into that fight, back when Ava told dad about her powers –
"To forgive one another and make up with –
Ann paused and gawked back at the figure. "No!" She crossed her feathers and sneered. "I'm not doing that! He's done way worse! That stupid brat is –
~He's our stupid brother.~ The other Anna stated over her double's complaints.
~ We promised to watch out for each other. If you don't help out, then Ava has no power. The Phoenix dies off and the world goes along with it. Working together and letting go of that cruddy attitude is what's got to be done, now! ~
"But…." Anna sniffed and wiped her red nose with a long arm and claws she had to evade carefully.
"I messed up…. He, he just…...Went with his gut while I did everything I could to get him out of this mess! He doesn't understand. I've been watching out from elsewhere, incognito to make sure that the guardians don't –
~ Anna! ~ The figure shouted in the bird -woman's ears.
~You can go back to them; you just have to channel that new magic so it won't control you. Rage, fire, you can use it and take back OUR home, our body. Aiden can get into trouble a little, he has to learn sometimes that you fall into the fire –
"You get burned…" She remembered reading about that old saying, that knowledge mothers left to their kids with a hint of reason. "Mom too; she said if a Tameranean child fell, their ability to fly again would be by their own will - unless otherwise in need of being saved from a threatening monster or something like that…"
"So…" Anna breathed out her answer. "Let him get hurt? And I'm only supposed to help if it's a last case scenario? That's too risky –
~But it's what protects you both. ~ Anna's pool - friend smirked back. ~Thought we were hard headed as a whole, but looks like it's just you. ~ It chuckled.
"Hey!" Anna looked to the figure as it had begun to slowly ripple and fade out.
"What new magic did you mean?" She begged the vision – self to say.
~ Your fire, your spirit. ~ The voice echoed. ~ The will to seek truth and maintain the balance without being swept up in all this, chaos. Good luck and remember to look deep within! ~
/
Aiden lay baffled on one of the med room beds inside of Titians Tower; his eyes scanned the ceiling as if he'd be visited by three ghosts tonight.
Raven sat in her meditative position to her friend's son's side, with her hood and cloak all in white. She sat cross legged and recited a mantra to see to a clean mind - as Aiden's falling out with his supposed contracted 'spirit' had gone exactly how she'd expected.
Raku had given into his doubt, that desire had to come from within to change and Aiden, had failed to notice it. That Raku had been silently still suffering by his power to cope with change.
This change was dangerous; for her team and for the Chosen and his family. They were being swept off, one by one. Ami had to be recovering in Japan right about now. Right where Dick had been taken hostage according to Kori, by a God turned Titian -Gorgon -ite, Hypnos and his allies Medusa and Momus, a god of Blame. He feared for Dick's safety because of who he was up against. Rogue gods were as dangerous if not more than living relics.
They could be everywhere and anyplace all at once.
She cracked open an eye to view Aiden from the side. Still moping in his brief period of shock at having lost two of those he'd cared for. Anna and Raku, who'd hated his presence no more than he hated himself right now.
He was loathing, as Ava had kindly put it. Yep, this was after all the first Robin's own blood in her presence.
"Is he, oh! Sorry, Rae." Cy stepped back from the sliding automatic door to the med lab, pausing before continuing to pry;
"Is he still…? You, know?"
"Upset?" Raven said with almost as brow raised in a twinge of irony. "Yes."
"Oh. Then, I'll go, cause –
"Before you do that." Raven brought herself to temporarily cease her meditative state, landing back onto her feet softly. "There is someone I need you to locate for me."
Cy blinked; not a shocker however, as Raven wasn't all hocus -pocus to her actions. She could be pretty down to earth with her requests a lot of times.
"Ok…. So, who's the lucky –
"It's Lisa. Lisa Viscado." She replied hastily, hoping not to sit around stuck in time like the world WASN'T about to experience a total end - game today.
"That girl Aiden used to date from Ready Steady? Are you sure about that?" He scratched his head. "She'd be on tour or off the road by now, but with Aria watchin' her back –
"Which is why I'm worried that she'll be a target, since the enemy who went after Raku wants to emotionally ruin the Chosen's connections anyway she can."
The two stood silently still. They'd avoided using Raku's name because of Roku's old history. If you spoke the name of a being like a spirit or Soul - Stealer, you'd end up ten feet under or worse. But…
Nothing happened, which meant that Raku wasn't a monster after all. The other aspect of him, his form Roku the adult had been, by all means.
"Aiden, was right." Raven sighed and let her hood down with a frown. "We judged him too soon, and I think that was why he couldn't change."
"So, then Lisa's another target you said?" Cy repeated. "Should I get the team ready once we have that super- star's address?"
Raven turned to Aiden who'd not even twitched at the sound of his ex- girlfriend and childhood crush's name. Even Raku's very mention did not elicit a groan from his lips today. He was in a wide - awake form of comatose (stasis) as of now.
"When you can, we should all be ready to face him, again…And I can bet that Raku's not going to listen to anyone but Aiden."
"I thought he ditched –
"They are still bonded." Raven almost lowered his head psychically to tell the Titan directly away from her charge's own two lobes what she'd discovered. "Aiden never left his contract with Raku, which means he has to be watched, carefully."
"That's why you won't leave the kid's side." Cy realized with a nod and a smirk on his cheeks. "You really do care. An' as the kid's aunt after all, don'tcha, Rae –
"I don't try to show it." She cut him off. "If I had tried to act soft as a care - giver while around Richard and Kori's children…" Raven reflected on what could happen if she had not budged earlier. "Then I would not be there now to keep anything like that demon from causing trouble in this, unprecedented situation. I think that… Anna's going to be fine." She added, sparking some curiosity in Cyborg.
"How do you know that?" He was sure Anna was definitely powerful and useful to the guardians and with helping Aiden take back control of his abilities, but she had an emotional side as a kid. Sometimes it was overlooked by her own parents. Aiden had to give Ava trouble in school, while Anna had been all bark but no bite on the blacktop during gym class and at recess.
Raven turned back to Aiden's body. With a special smirk, she had forgotten her real title to the Grayson family. "Ava and I knew as well as Amelia that Ann was unstable since the first time, when she and Aiden had awoken to their powers." She spoke softly of the past.
Cy frowned; recalling the turn out and Roku's supposed influence over Aiden and his best pal Dick. "You, knew what was gonna go down with her? And you didn't say somethin' sooner? –
"I admit." She turned her head and glanced back at Aiden Grayson's sad state. He still looked so confused, empty, as if something important had gone missing forever from his life. "I didn't sense Lothos returning, or even know about a new villain planning to take over Earth. I only saw Raku's emotions for what they still were, even with Aiden trying to fix him."
"He wanted to make it so that no one could say that Raku was a threat to anyone, anymore. That wasn't going to happen and yet, he forced himself to hope it would. That's why he's like this." She explained to her co-worker and long - time Titan teammate. "He's going to have to save himself or lose the rest of his team just to save two lives. The issue with Anna, though…" She stopped herself;
"She's only going to have a few hours to activate the phoenix's magic, or she'll be stuck in limbo for as long as it takes to find a cure –
"Rae." Cy came up to the empath not to beg, though hoping Dick or Kori would not, could NOT hear his thoughts from afar.
"Don't let anything happen to Anna or Aiden if you can." He warned the worried sorceress.
"If Star finds out that this could be…. Irreversible…. Do you know how mad a Tameranean mama gets if one of her kids is in mortal danger? I don't think she would be able to handle you keeping all this a secret from her! I'm loped into it too now!" He bit his lip.
"Shoot…What if Aiden's like this forever, too?" He pointed at the comatose, almost empty gaze of the first boy wonder's only son.
"Dick won't just take him out of here, you'll never get to see them an' I know that my poor Jacklyn won't do well with Ami bein' taken away from her gal. She's practically bffs with that lil' spiky haired kawaii nightmare for all tme! We can't make this any worse for the kids –
"This isn't about friends being torn away from friends." Raven frowned by how this news had made her teammate so gung ho over running past their original plans. He'd gotten older, but wiser? More so with an over – protective father vibe still shining through. Jacklyn was now fourteen. Amelia and she still chatted online on occasion, but the big bad daddy bear had to know; Ami had been aware as well as Jackie of something on the horizon through their link. She'd talk to the family about that once they were through the woods, but for now.
Heck. She'd never had kids, so the thought had never crossed Raven's mind before that this WAS just as important as saving the world from a danger that was beyond the Titans' control.
"You can trust me to keep your secret safe, but if anyone else goes down because of this, I'm not stalln' on Kori or my best man. They have to know, but right now…" He sighed and rubbed his hairless skull, attempting to cool off any way he could.
"We, just have to watch our backs an' brace for another attack on the tower. So, I'm gonna; start that search for Lisa. You' goanna stay here, right?" He walked towards the exit as he asked the empath once more if she'd be a while. As if the conversation had returned to the beginning of their meet - up in the med bay area.
"I have no other choice, so yes." She replied, weary stricken from the emotional pep talk. It being more so a guilt trip to her own ego.
"Then see you at supper. B suggested I do a waffle bake, with soy and…. ugh…Tempeh bacon. Don't ask."
"Don't worry, I won't."
The door slipped shut as Raven quietly returned to getting to the bottom of Aiden's state. Something else had left him like this. Maybe as still as a stun…
She felt an immediate pull and flinched, getting dragged under as quickly as a roaring tidal wave. The psychic pull was from another; a face she'd hoped to avoid and evade if possible.
/
Vespa had fought back with Dick. Until their legs had reached the temple with Ami's aura beaming from within, the dutiful Titan could not stop running. He had to find out if Vespa intended to double cross them. She'd come out of the blue while Kaede and Koko sat inside watching the to- be prentice of Amaterasu-Hime.
Kaede flung a few shuriken from a storage space on the temple's wall at the few humans that were remaining a problem for the lone Kitsune.
Except, now she wasn't alone. Haru must have sent Koko to help her, it was just not possible to consider anything other than this as a miracle.
Ami stirred in her sleep as the poison was zapped slowly from her system. The effects were now mild enough for Koko to treat with her special medicine making skills.
"All we need is another…. Second! Yaa!" In her nearly fox eared -human form, Kaede kept the zombies at bay and from her charge and ally, Koko.
~I'm just about ready here! Go ahead and let the barrier fall –
"What? That is suicide! I won't lose another comrade in this fight!" Kaede refused to do as Koko asked. She'd grown too close to her own kin and to the humans she protected. It wasn't right!
~I'll be fine. Just, trust my words. Kaede -san. ~
Kaede turned slowly with her head tossing this was and that; a strict No on her lips. Her teeth bared and her wary eyes now slits against the wrong enemy, closer to tears. ~I will fight to save her. You…That cannot happen! Haru -Chan…You won't leave me too! ~ She sent her nails into the wood and speared down a screaming monk of a neighboring shrine who'd been taken over by the Gorgon's magic.
~We are not bound to this plane. ~ Koko touched Ami's throat to pull out more of the poison. Her chest rose up as she then gagged, turning to the side and spitting out a wad of the vile burn that had plagued her earlier.
"You…." Kaede froze by how easily Koko had taken to curing her charge.
~I'm sure we can win, let me do what I must for this world. ~ She let out a song; a howl from the wolven clan of her birth on the past's spirit plane. The eastern song resounded about and through the walls of the temple. The people or zombies, covered their ears and shouted, before falling onto the ground. The evil leaving their bodies into the sky one by one. Hypnos looked up, agape. With a snarl beside him, Momus yelled out and came up from behind Richard with his arms as long as a daddy long legs.'
~You won't win! We shall not let –
He soon to fell to the melody; his arms twitched and reverted to their normal size. The male's eyes bugged wildly about as Hypnos had failed to keep his relative out of the way of the witch's cursed song.
~Such force…...Quite a letdown…Then! Be ready, Guardian. ~ He forewarned Vespa, mostly.
Momus strained his arms out to bring his brother close, but the dream -daemon shuddered at the pox and waste that now covered the corrupted other god's body. The curse had made him reappear as a real monster. A gorgon of the old laws.
~Grrrrraaaaa! I am…Of Blame! Zeus may…..Zeus may fall! You…You all shalllllll!AAAAaaaaaaaaHHHhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…. ~
Vespa had seen enough. As Hypnos made his bitter getaway, she took to banishing the other gorgon into a vortex of swimming darkness. Her scythe of a to- be reaper had grown taller by all the souls she'd just ended in downtown Tokyo.
Dick wiped the grime from his torn coat, hoping he'd have time to change in an ally somewhere. Nightwing was being called back from the dead. Vespa winked at the police officer and dropped in through the vortex with her convicted soul of the day.
~Queen Hecate thanks you for your assistance, might be best to look closer to home. ~ She hinted with a wise grin.
"Mr. Grayson – san!" Kaede bounded outside the salvaged temple with a smile on her face and a few tears well- past being shed. She bounded over to Dick in her kitsune form on four legs, happy as a pup on Christmas Eve.
Vespa chuckled and fell through the portal with her words still fresh in Richard's mind.
~Look closer to home. ~ And with a wave, she was gone too soon to count on ever showing her face on that side of the void.
/
Void. An emptied room. A shapeless identity. However, she'd set out to accomplish a task with both arms bound behind her back.
As she opened her eyes, the face staring back was one she'd not expected to have seen in another decade. Isa. Just as her ungodly woes as a mother to the god son Horus; her deep brown eyes gazed back into the violet shade of the empath's. Her own bound to the maiden with much fervor. As if in desperation.
At least, as soon as Raven had come to realize she must have been inside a short vision, masked as a brief dream -period for the goddess to negotiate with an old friend, only then did the gaze make sense to her.
~Did you summon me? ~ Raven asked the goddess in a hurried voice.
Isa Rothschild nodded and rose from her seated position on a wafty grey cloud. This space was similar to an astral divide; like the one A', the Time relic of the Ethereal realm was sworn to uphold and protect.
~I was a very direct. I too, apologize for dragging you away from your charge so quickly. ~ She seemed to reply this, meekly. Something was amiss with Isa's usual disposition; having seemed smothered to the dark child of Azar, her eyes wide enough to see that Isa looked unhappy about another topic….
~I was watching over Aiden…Anna, was –
~Word has traveled to Paris where Agatha and I hath dwelt for a time in order to protect its borders from harm. ~ Isa interjected.
~So…! ~ Raven gasped up towards the goddess's eyes. All -knowing. It was still a fact. Isis still could see by a brief period of foresight, a real witch.
~Amelia has recovered from her affliction. Her father is there to retrieve her, yet I fear they are going to fall into a trap set by a rogue soul – taker. ~
~A, soul - taker? ~ Raven worded. ~Is, that is the same as a soul- stealer. Right? ~
~ No. ~ Isa stated with a shake of her long, straightened mane.
~A….Oh. ~ Raven blinked. Her eyes stuck on rewind; seeing through Isa's projected thoughts sent her way what a Stealer and Taker were. Stealer was not authorized to steal souls. A taker was known as a Reaper. An Angel of Death or a Messenger from the Underworld realms. In other words, Vespa.
Vespa was on the side of the gods, but she so far had acted like an enemy to the Titans and Guardians. She'd been a Guardian of Shadows, just as Veravakumu. Yet, she wanted to be the only one with that title due to her noble upbringing.
~Vespa is close to turning, she's already sided with Lord Chronos's alter – form as the reaper in tow. She'd rather see her name up in lights than stop a planet from falling to chaos. Her art is of the darkness, so it may permeate her for only so long. ~ Isa explained.
~She's playing a dangerous game. ~ Grunted the empath before turning to face Isa in her strongest hour. ~What about Agatha being a reincarnation of Gaia? She's not, though it isn't too –
~She is still no match for the villain that cloaks itself on your world. ~ The goddess responded carefully. ~Agatha is not Gaia at all. The Gaia of your world is a Guardian of Earth known as Cybill. Shoji did not tell you? ~
~We've been separated since…~ Raven shook her head and sighed. ~I, had no idea. ~
~That is fine, for the real goddess in my charge Agatha's heart is actually the child Concordia. The enemy is the goddess of Chaos, who's risen to defy her jailers. ~ The maiden goddess continued on. ~ We are on the verge of attempting to call her out. She hides on this plane, the earthen. Concordia may be the one force that can seal her enemies of chaos away for good. ~ Isa said this with very little confidence in her words. ~Yet, she is still unprepared to fight the rogue daughter of that Grecian era who's since been reborn. ~
~Then, only one thing can stop her? Her opposite? ~ Raven thought this to be a problem already! It wasn't a win -win for her friends and allies if all they had to do was help a pre- teen, reincarnated goddess of order to learn to battle a dangerous goddess like…. Like, ERIS!
~What do you need my team to do? ~ She asked the deity mother this with a start. She'd have to be wide- awake to face reality or even her team, ever again.
/
As the swirling winds swept over the barren floorboards of the tower, a face in the crowd was not there long enough to cause a stir. It slipped in and between the cracks in the ceiling, leading its fateful eyes off towards…
The frame of a very fatigued Aiden Grayson. No one was here; save for a very tired and sle-
She was not. She was in a trance state, the other noted before edging closer to the sleeping two in its sights.
~I won't let this be like the last time…~ With a puff of dust from its inner pocket, the thief in the night blew some enchanted grains to coat its victim. With a dastardly grin, the thief then went off to put the whole tower under total lock - down.
~Nighty – night, heroes…! ~
/
Cici looked into the eyes of her aggressor. The character had not been a dreamed- up relic. He was right there as she felt the shock take her well away from her time in this realm of the Mortals of the Present day.
~ Good day, Princess. ~
The being was no good spirit of any such benefit to her role as a lackey of the new Chaos goddess.
Slade looked to be decked out with a power all his own. Maybe deciding to come back to them had allowed the coward time to count himself lucky to be on the winning team.
~You, did not side with the sorceress? ~ She softly spoke as he looked over her drab appearance; hidden beneath her flowing cloak of the immortals'.
~Raven isn't one to forgive and forget. ~ He shrugged with a lazy raise of his palms upturned towards the heavens. ~I was given little to no choice at all, Ares is a stiff when it comes to bargaining with a war god. ~ He said this as if it did not matter, yet he'd deal with the consequences later.
~Then that fight up on the tower…that…She spoke of –
~It happened. ~ He responded with a nod. ~Raku isn't cursed because of Lilith's touch. He's always been at the crossroads since birth because of his heritage. She must have expected to use a demi – god to prove her point. ~
~ That inferior souls could wipe out the heavens. ~ Cici recalled the pep talk as well with the strich watching her every move. She'd been loyal and blinded by another fear back then. She'd wanted her name and face, but not in silence or secretly kept by the Eternal world orderlies.
~She proved her point and in the end, he stabbed her in the back. Raku was the student who surpassed the master. ~
~I think you are forgetting one detail, Wilson. ~ Cici added on with a delicately gloved finger raised slightly up in his view.
~I would be. ~ He snorted; his break shaken by her nervous energy radiating from inches apart where the stood. Ground level, or a ground zero in the United States.
Where the worst was about to take hold.
Once the couple of lovey – dove gorgons finished with their goodbyes….
Love. It had a sweet touch, yet a rough edge prevented him from avoiding its sharp teeth every time.
Addie was…Done. Lily too. Not the same. The mother of Rose Wilson, a.k.a. Ravager's half sibling.
Lilith had nagged him over whether he'd wanted to have a plot of land to settle in the past.
A cabin in the woods. At least the trees would continue to thrive as the rest of the world shrunk down into nothing ( Less oxygen means smaller species. In this case, he's quoting on climate change. Slade is only really, Immortal in a sense through science, so a cabin in the woods means he's no Lorax! He thinks living after humans are replaced by another species will let him live in peace. Did that sound grim or what?!)
~So, what then did Eris wish for these hands to own? ~ As Cici said this, it pulled Slade from his new and old memories of what was and what could have been.
~She's been unclear. I'm almost thinking that Ares is also just as useless in their far - fetched plot to rebuild –
~So, she intends to rebuild Earth in her image? That's all? ~ As Cici pictured the goddess in her thoughts, a rotten stench filled the airwaves.
Slade covered his nose with his armored limb as Cici managed to brush her cloak to keep her face and eyes clear of this new poison.
It was! A toxic shockwave that was as a billion insects all swarming together down the dirtied, deserted streets.
Moths in the throws of a thousand skyscrapers.
The vermin was no ordinary saint; it revealed itself as the location had been more of a distraction. Cici cussed under her cloak. Slade might very well have done the same.
They were hiding her; their Alicia to be kept from harm.
Who: Just who was protecting New York?
The cluster unwound as the reveal came as a shock to both assassins. They had not been so fortunate to have known the real modern - day goddess (incarnate) of nature and Earth as off right then…
~ Cybill Liberty's arrived, ya creeps! ~ She pointed at the evil crew with an army of horned and deadly insects at her disposal.
~Time to show you losers, UP! You're in my city, so you had better not blow up anymore dang holes in the damn ozone, today! I'm talkin' to you! Yeah, Blackbeard an' Old whatever – you – are - under – the – damn - hood! ~
A teen.
Slade gawked underneath the mask.
Cici gulped, she blinked. This aura was strong. Almost as powerful as Aria or Kaien's own.
They'd give it all liberty, or they'd just as well have it in death here before their time was up.
Cybill sat atop her cloud of bug soldiers and smirked. ~ Ready to throw down? I can take you both on. Just watch! This guardian of New York is mobile, baby! ~

While Cecilia Crescendo and Slade Wilson stood about in surprise among the streets of the big apple, Roko had been able to hunt down more than her fair share of allies in this new divide.
She hated competition as it led to misery and distrust in all kindred; whether spirit or mortal alike.
She dragged Raku along as if he had a leash to his throat. He did not. He'd chosen to spare Aiden in order to keep the daemon self, sane and under control. He did not mean though that being, Roko. Something much worse had lived on…
It left him hollow, hard as stone from the inside out.
He'd gone along with Roko to seek out the master of Chaos, not realizing that this had not been his first ever meeting with the rogue goddess.
He'd belittled her before. Starved her of her affections. He'd tossed her to the sands of times and had allowed the woman to grief the loss of her magnificent craft over all things chaotic.
He'd taken her, bed and all and had not even forgotten, the closer they grew to her domain. The memories made him sickly, ill. He bucked about as if his brain had started to swell. His eyes shut tightly while they walked down the sewer scape's hidden corridor.
Berlin had a hidden system of tunnels that predated the days of any kings. More so, an emperor for Rome, maybe a siege by the Francs and Visigoths. (Hope it was spelled with a C!)
Time had ended that war on earth. Roko now used this passage to find the lair of a skeptical sort of deity.
Eris was waiting to grow in power. Not now; she still was not satisfied. Her lust for wanting to further overthrow time's laws was vivid to the imagination. Maybe to Roko, it was a way to break free from her own cursed life as an intangible figure. She wanted to break others. While Roko had wanted what freedom, she could own all for herself.
Raku's (self) had once craved that freedom so much; it had forced him to fulfill his destiny and to be by Azag's side – until his father's death.
Raku looked up at his fancifully woven aspect of plight; she was beautiful, like Lilith. She also had a way to squeeze past those who might see her as bloodthirsty, to tame their worrisome thoughts to ash.
He knew she was dangerous; even so, he wanted her to bring him closer so that the memories might awaken an epiphany - one that could be brought to use against this new and olden goddess of strife and discord.
~Then Aiden will come back. I won't be told to vanish ever again…~ It was a selfish wish. A very cruel thought. He thought if the gods saw him as a hero as in the past, they'd let him live. Maybe on Earth with his…
~ I would lose most of my magic. I'd be powerless, for that price I could not protect my contracted any longer! ~ He fretted and shut his eyes tighter.
~We're here. ~ Roko had Raku from his dismal thoughts with her words spoken true. The doorway to Eris's domain had taken shape as one to rival the gates of even Hades.
She had two gargoyle figures with lashing tails and the bodies of beasts to guard such a gate. Roko did not both with fighting here. She instead motioned to a crest at the door and drew in the air with her fingertip before the beasts could label her craft as a threat.
~Hummmm…I come to you, with a prize to be spared….do open, for one who shares your exact interests. Goddess of Mayhem –
~Excuse me? ~
The former gargoyle to the left cleared its throat, until its massive body had reverted to that of a bat - winged man with brown flowing locks, and a frown so cross as to cut you down to size where you stood, gawking at his regal stature. He wore aa blue set with sleeves to a nobleman of 18th century France.
"En Guard…" She purred, deceptively to herself with bated breath.
Roko was, intrigued. She left her arm to fall to the side softly, as if breath - taken by his good looks alone.
Charl coughed and then spoke assuredly; he had not been given much of a role since he'd been kicked to the curb by the Aprodite of Hungary and Lothos, the Night - walking prick.
~ I find you to be a familiar face. ~ He pointed at the witch and her lackey. ~ A picture not at all befitting for a noble such as you, sire. ~
"He is I; I am he. ~ Roko said this with a delicate smile painted onto her red lips. By her unkempt, greedy will, this clown would not hesitate to open those gates.
Charl looked the witch up and down, not doubting that dark magic was at play. The real Dragon had been a mystery to only those who'd failed to tell of his past and its woes.
~ You'd best let the boy through. ~ Charl warned as he'd been told to proclaim this in an earlier discussion with his current savior.
~ What of my reaction to all of this? ~ Raku soon found his will back to beg; ~ I only wanted to save my contracted –
~ You've done everything to break your vows for that! ~ Hissed the witch into the youth's face. ~Did you not just sever a link? If it was not done well, your poor Chosen could be trapped between space and time by your diseased promises. ~
She'd after all gone into the tower to see for herself what the damage had done to the promised Chosen hero of Earth.
~No! ~ Raku shook his head in disbelief. ~ I…I spared him! That is not true –
~It was what happened, be reasonable. ~ Charl rubbed his temples, now missing the deranged talk of the elder king he'd once revered. Now, a boy all over again….
~ I want to seek out the Chaos Goddess, myself then! ~ Raku soon spat; unable to take back his thoughtless request. She shook her head and glanced back at Aiden Grayson's sad state. He still looked so confused, empty, as if something important had gone missing forever from his life.
~See? Mon ami, he insists. I'll let him go first. You may come back…. In a while later. ~
Charl looked at an imaginary watch at his arm. ~ When the goddess becomes bored with him. No further requests! ~
Roko stood, dumfounded by the outcome. Still, she played second beside the original…No, nononononono! It could not be like this!
~You are bringing me inside. ~ She sniffed at the turn-coat of a butler.
~Or I'll gladly tell Eris that you are still a friend of the old king o' chaos? How 'bout that? ~ She crossed her arms over her chest, for she had the power to send word to Eris through a vision.
No door could keep her away. She could toss shadows around as if it were purely sport!
Sighing, Charl scratched the back of his neck and cursed in a low sounding voice. ~ What a joke! I may as well oblige to this washed -up enemy of my old ruler and lord! What ever shall I do! Boo - hoo! ~
More mockery did only to further annoy Roko. She'd gotten this far, and was not getting her justly reward for persevering as far as she'd very well taken, to return as a single being! Raku was her ticket in, then he was done. She'd take his and Eris's crafts from them; bleed them of their magic.
The book had returned with her. Manifesto's rites belonged to Raku anyway, so his aspects also had the right to use such a magical trinket to do their bidding. It was his father's gift. The power, to reform the entire law of time and creation. Eris could not have that.
She was first in line. Roko -the one who'd birthed the dragon king of that olden day in time. NOT Lilu…. She'd not been there to see Raku suffer as Roko had always known of her vessel -creator.
~Fine. ~ Shrugging without a care, Charl thought it unwise to un- invite a guest to his current Madame's shindig.
~OH, so you take back your late insults? I find it hard to believe Eris; testing a soul such as I like this, would not care to negotiate. I was the one who unbound the boy from his struggling half -miserable master. She'll get what I can or will bother to offer that whelp. Does she not want the boy and his immense craft all to herself? ~
Charl seethed as if he'd been caught red – handed. ~Why only I? His Power -source magic is vast. ~ Charl turned to the boy and frowned with his jaw possibly clenched as to not say anything more.
~As ugly as your intent surely is; compared to her own,~ He rolled his eyes, wanting to keep mum over how much Eris meant to the turned imp who still carried free will, ~ I truly do not wish to come between that ' bargain' you speak of so briefly. ~ He shot a finger at the door as it widened enough to allow three to pass though it.
~Let us journey to meet her in, better, company. ~ He proclaimed over the creaking metallic sound of the widening gates to this newly crafted Hades.
~Let us, then. ~ Sniffed Roko in response; as she ushered first along her charge and then she, herself found it timely enough to shut the door behind them all with a loud clack*.
~ Eris had better not think her power greater than my gift to that slut. ~ Roko thought very carefully over how she was to wipe out this goddess to replace it with a better candidate.
One she could snack on the essence of later when she ruled the known Human's waste dump of a plane for eternity.
/
Eris had commanded her intangible forces to doll up; as Cecilia was off on official business in New York City, so she had to find ways to entertain herself before those guests arrived to dine with her this evening.
An event she'd never let go of dreaming up for thousands of days in her Gorgon -born prison.
~I am a goddess, thy WILL continue to spread my words true to the skies and above -even should then I die with the Chaos I've brought to this god -forsaken –
The doors creaked as Eris saw with her two mis -matched colored eyes the bounty in which she'd expected -and all before she'd run across the perfect dinner gown! What a disaster for her!
~ Ahh! ~Eris squealed and levitated on her false angel's wings at the sight of the three she inwardly wished on their knees, at her feet by now.
~ Oh, my dear allies! Then, shall we not toast to the demise of Earth? Come, sit! We have only a while to decide the fate of this horrid planet… ~ She hummed along happily and poured her guest of honor a concoction made by her own hands.
She poured a separate spell into the wine urn as to have the rest drink different notes of wormwood and clovers from a plane on her world. In other words, this was a place to lose ones' mind. Eris intended to heighten her own senses with a special form of the same brew. Just like Olympus! She did really feel at home on this earthen rock of a location.
~ You'll not know when to forget, as I have never forgotten of you, dear hindrance. ~ The wicked witch smiled while hoping her façade could not be busted full of holes by the foolishly ambitious Roko; the aspect made real by the king's youthful doubts to his given rites, as Azag's next in line to the bleeding throne of lies.
~Sit? Should I leave it all to you then, Madame? ~ As I Charl wished to be a party of her mock – tea party anymore than he wished to be Eris's faithful lap dog! High class; he'd been a noble in France before he'd turned to the darkest of his emotions, as a demon of greedy lust.
Yet, he had standards, even in his body; which was similar to how Raku had lived his days as a half -mortal bound. Yet his was as a spirit, not a god's damned son. Unless you counted the renaissance deity who had returned to harbor sin throughout the minds of many genius inventors or even artists, such as he had aspired to be -not a knight to some grudge -bearing lords and ladies. Standards…While this clown had…
No –
Manners.

OHKAY!~ So, this roundabout chapter is a sum of many pov's I guess?
Too many! I'm stretched quite thin so let's get started!
Eris: She's got this satisfied feeling of superiority over having Raku at her table, but what does the poison do? What will she hope to accomplish by serving her lukewarm remedy to her starving guests of honor.
Cybill: Our newest Guardian in training and second youngest to first, Abeni and the Hungarian Pop -Princess, or even Ice cold Sten…..Shoot! -
So, third after the pop- princess, I hope my dyscalculia isn't showing! Argh!
Roko: She'd gladly reap all the benefits – if only the real villains and her enemies would cower in fear over her arrival instead of believing her to be a joke. A plain copy created by Raku's miserable time at said -brothel where he left his human home behind thanks to Lilith's gentle nudging and Azag's carefully timed entrance. ( The Wattpad story tells the rest! Read it to find out! Still trying to get that app to reopen on my Galaxy tab but it is terrible Wi-Fi in the places I type…Next time, maybe I'll continue his story. )
Charl: He's waiting for a chance to take the money and run. Once he's sucked up to Eris and followed orders to where he sees he'll get enough of his due, he's out of there. Being controlled by a book of manifestation magic, by a boy with a grudge against Raku since his days at the Isles Academy (Wattpad story,) and by a very fairly peeved Succubus who we pray will never sink her claws into our heroes' lives again, he's like Slade right now. He'll do the job, then it's off to a cottage in the woods to hide from said -world for a long, long, time. However, he's got a bit of a pet peeve against those who turn his head the wrong way. Eris is royal by her blood, though puts thsoe of his own clas to shame, in a way making this guy a bit of a neat freak. Wait and see what she's done here in chapter three.
Cecilia: She's gotten the worst of her woes to confront. She has to apparently SEDUCE LISA in order to save her sister and free her from the confines of Lisa's mortal soul and body. Alicia Daia was forced to expire, as Slade and Roku in his prime, had only brought her back to control like a puppet because, she was kind of a walking corpse that had a soul implanted in her to stay alive for a good while until her king was…You get the picture.
Cici escaped that reality and gained her immortality a different way. She had never been attracted to the powers of Roku or Rokuro the son, she'd followed Lilith, then had her ties cut to join the Titans and Wiz Greg as his protégé before continuing her role as the Crone Mother, Lady Hecate's pupil and Vassal – to -be. She escaped this restriction of her self and was swept back up into the idea that she could have her own path and Alicia back ( She's of Roman born blood so yep, we went with the unrequited love between siblings, it is rated M for a reason I guess.)
Slade: He's just going along because of the shackles that Ares has on the man until he completes his role for the wily Queen Eris. His thoughts of teaming up remain on autopilot, but too much POV time for him would run the series ere ragged, and he has no such magic to make this arc pop. So, side arc maybe?
Ami, Kaede, Koko: Awaiting Ami's break from the big bad vampire -like being Lothos's spell. She's able to use her magic but it will take time to recover from the bite she received from his retuning jaws. Lothos is based off of the vampire ( A villain) I a Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic I read in my , ehem, teens on vacation. The state of Florida, has incredible libraries. Good to be a bookworm and media - holic! So far, the idea Soul -Stealer falls under a similar scope as a Harry Potter themed ghoul, but with more backstories involved in said creatures. Such as; Roku was a turned child who was corrupted into many forms before he'd acquired the role permanently. He had to live, kill, be killed, birth children from many queens and seers in order to keep their realms in line, that sort of patriarchal killing spree bull. It may not be an incredible note to play out here, but the realm of the very Ethereal, Eternal, and Underworld or Spirit, are if not, almost entirely goddess -worshipping planes under a matriarchal system.
A' is well endowed as a superior force, which is why Lady Tsani (incarnation of hope and of the goddess Iris,) is being protected.
Hecate: is well -pronounced as a powerful duel -level ally to the team, as her allies seem to be all knowing and seeing. She is hardly ever disturbed by outside eyes.
Lady Light and Darkness, Bao Shi and Sayumon: They have a lot of magic and can put their kingdoms into a deep freeze if they so ask it be done. The only reason I did no throw the Spirit realm or the Celestial and Universal into this, is because those realms are really settled in different areas and times in space time.
The Universal is sort of like a Roman Senate; where the gods who made it to this level over the course of many, many frustrating years (CEO position,) are finally rooted to this realm where Raku had attempted as Roku to force his way in and to take it over as he pleased -before A stopped him and left him to seek out Lori in her realm of Ancient Scotland.
The Celestial is sort of the snobbish Angel/ Spirit/ Daemon/and Deity ground as Aria and Kayu come from this specific plane by their royal lines. Sayu, was not born into a family like this, but made her way to the top through her marriage to rulers who got her there and by her deeds as a kitsune in the form of a seer of her old country in the past. She disguised herself as a maiden so wearing the skin of another got her up a few ranks. She's been facing a hard challenge due to an affliction caused by the black widow's poison. So in a way, a chronic mental illness, which is why Kayu and Ron barely want to bring her up.
She's this close to getting hysterical allover the place, plus she has nine tails so by rite, she had the power of a goddess. Very dangerous, so they keep an eye on her.
Lady Light: is a bit of a push over now that Darkness has left her to do this job on cloud nine -thousand (and among a bunch of Zeus worshipping control -freaks.) In aa sense, the Eternal realm is controlled by, you guessed it, the moon. The Celestial realm takes to the powers of the sun. So, Darkness being away from her twin in protecting her, though the complex nature of the sun is left to her in longing, so she remains beside Hecate and does not latch onto the past.
In the past, the Titans met both twins, but Light was unstable due to Darkness being too close. Now, she oversees to the channels which time moves, her role separate from that of her sister.
Pretty sad, but I am far from through –
Bao Shi Lan: Pretty pissed about how her western allies are handling a pint -sized goddess's return. She is as the wind through the trees; a sprite born in Ancient China who gained the powers of a high - arc figure by her involvement with the lives of her kin and as a faithful student to her every teacher. She even was a candidate for becoming an Elemental Relic (yet Roku stole the role from under the judges' noses.) She is still very upset about Raku being allowed back, and wanting to be still with his magic instead of letting himself remain as a mortal forever.
She personally believed up to now, that she'd been corrupted due to the history with Raku in the past (arc New Beginnings and second one after, she'd been controlled like Kay and was on the bad guys' side ( a war path of her own) for a while before things eventually fixed themselves. )
She's been the teacher of Tsani; A's unborn child now realizing her own role as a light in the darkness. As Bao Shi is both disciplined yet caring when it comes to her student's needs, she is still a matriarchal figure and a supporting ally to the old and new guardians of the Four Passages. She is responsible on the Eternal and Celestial planes as a sympathizer with the mortals of earth. Sayu is someone who has a hard time getting along with this relic. They are both of different ranks, races, and hold different prejudices towards the humans.
She leads herself down the isle and holds no attachments to love or guilt of her past, very passive aggressive and she is actually stronger than both Sayu and Kaien combined at her age.
Darkness; Like Lady Light, she holds the balance of the night and the unseen void in her palm. She was a bit like….
She and Light were fashioned from Clamp's Clow cards so it is very similar around that same if not, earlier time than the concept of Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles. I looked it up one day and was like, wow! I didn't know that a year later that they would have the same idea to use this concept as I'd had in 2006 -and 2007 with my first fan fic ever posted, go figure. This was after Teen Titans had ended so R.I.P.
Lastly, Sayumon: She is mother to Kayumon, Ron, and possibly even Aria, though this may be a part of rumors spread by those in touch with Kaien in the past. She has a pretty interesting dual aspect as both a helpful and harmful daemon by bot her intent and her cursed days from an affliction by both Roku and Lilith in a fight she once aided in in the past to save Prince Richard Ainsley from his father.
So far, she's been retricted by the council to use any full force; she'd gone nine- tailed fox all over in a few arcs before when she'd protested aiding the heroes of earth. Her curse was countered but she was revoked as a council head and placed under a sortof long house arrest to restabilize her connection to her role as a peace keeper beside Bao -Shi. Bao Shi actually stopped Sayu in that fight, and Sayu's vanity was ferocious which led to her downfall, sort of.
Her appearance is as an old fashioned picture of a fox eared and nine tailed maiden who can steal anyone's ovtes right from under their noses. Ron has to keep an eye on his mother since he is still within her family, while Kayu has had qualms with the woman and only watches as a guardian on earth, and to the Celestial realm from a distance. He does not like to aask for her elp, but sometimes falls onto doing so to save his people and his allies fom harm. She has a large amount of magic but will not get to use it due to Bao - Shi's sealing technique. A goddess on a long leash, basically.
The whole story for Light and Darkness was that to stabilize the realms properly, Hecate got together with Clow Reed from a separate traverse in space and time and asked for his help in doing what she had foreseen could work with his magic over the void's will.
He was the helper who made Dark and Light originally, but in this world where fantasy drawn on paper exists to thrive, help , or harm, the two sisters were born and raised to bring chaos to its knees. Without Darkness and Light working as one, there could not be a truly perfect answer.
Darkness even comes to calling out to Hecate and quotes her as ; mother. Earlier arcs! 13 and up so even I would not be willing to read what I've typed back in Middle school with a straight face. Read on, and stay curious for this arc's stunning conclusion!
