Ravel: "Shuriya told me that her father is a well known thief, stealing from the richest criminals in the world. I don't know the details but the best thieves and criminals are heading to Saudi Arabia for a competition. That sounds like a place where her father could be. I would suggest caution however, Arabia's supernatural community is made up of Genies and they are known to be chaotic. Especially their queen.
The Saudi Desert is an unforgiving place. Hot in the day and cold in the night, it is not a surprise that corpses can be found in the sand. Two cloak figures walk together with one of them looking at a body that is all flesh and bones. "Death by dehydration. That must've sucked to experience."
The man takes off his cloak to reveal Issei, however his torso is wrapped in bandages. The battle at Kyushu left him with injuries that may take months to recover but he left for the Middle East a day after he returned to the Kure Village to get treatment. Even though he has severe injuries, he wants to help his companion find her father and the competition is starting soon. He looks around and only sees sand and an abandoned building. "So this is where the contest is starting, Shuriya?"
"Nope." His companion said as she took off his cloak to show a tan woman in a belly dancer outfit. This is Shuriya and she walks towards the building. She held her hand and he got the message. He pulls out a talisman with a lamp symbol on it from his pocket and gives it to her. She holds it, caressing the surface. "This is the last thing my father gave me before I was kidnapped and sold to Riser. He said when the time comes, I'll know what to do with it."
She placed it on the wall and the building began to glow. The door opens, showing nothing but darkness inside. They enter the building and walk in the shadows. Issei gazes at Shuriya's direction, even though he can't see her. "So your father is a thief?"
"The best thief in the Middle East. He worked with Lawrence of Arabia to steal from the Ottoman Empire during World War I. But his enemies wanted to make him suffer so they took me." She talks about her father as they keep walking. They see a light at the end of the corridor and enter through it. Once they exit, they witness a beautiful city full of majesty and gold. "This land. Is it..?"
"Welcome to Ubar: Atlantis of the Sand!" A giant figure appears in the center. Her size gets everyone's attention. "I am the Empress of Genies Jinn and I have invited all of you for a challenge. Inside my palace is my lamp. Your challenge is to find it and hold on to it until noon. The reward for keeping it is a wish of infinite possibilities. Immortality, wealth or power is within your grasp, you just need to find and keep it."
Her appearance disappears, leaving everyone to think on her words. Many thieves look at this challenge and smile at the chance. One of them is a certain Devil Pawn and her king. Issei is curious what Shuriya will do to take the lamp so he turns to her and asks her a question. "So what's the plan?"
"You will let me lead?" She asks with shock. Riser would never let her create a scheme. Her current king just shrugs. "You're the expert."
Unknown to everyone, an army of Interpol agents are hiding in the city with the three leaders meeting at a hotel room. The sole female is an anthropomorphic fox while the man is wearing an inspector outfit. She shakes hands with her fellow agent. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Inspector Zenigata."
"And you as well Carmelita. Your fights with the Cooper Gang are well known. It is a shame that you can't find him."
"Tell me about it. I suppose we both have a problem with slippery criminals."
The third leader enters the room. He is a man of Middle Eastern descent wearing a black suit with armor underneath it. "Alright everyone, gear up. The competition is starting. We will ambush them tonight."
Night has come and some groups have decided to not be quiet in their heists. Battles are going around, fighting and shooting each other or an army of police that has shown up but the real thieves are at the roof of the palace and sneaking in. One of them has entered and walking around. He calls his friend to get an update. "Bentley, can you hear me?"
"Sly! Great to hear from you. Alright Murray and I are at the back door and waiting for you. The door is locked and we need you to unlock it to help you get the lamp" The brains of the Cooper Gang said as Sly Cooper, France's Raccoon thief, jumps and lands. He walks around to find the back door till he dodges bullets.
"Sly Cooper. Best in France huh?" Jigen said as he adjusted his hat. He fires his revolver but the raccoon thief jumps and hits him with his cane.
"Nice try Jigen. This is going to be like the Louvre." The thief reminisce of a previous heist when he stole the Mona Lisa when Lupin tried to take it. The cowboy fires his gun as Sly runs away. He chases after him through the building. He stands next to the door and Jigen aims his gun and fires but Sly ducks the bullet which hits the padlock. He opens the door to reveal Murray and Bentley "Thanks for that."
"The Murray is here!" The Hippo strongman runs at the cowboy and punches him in the face, knocking him out. They are walking together until Jigen wakes up and fires at all of them. Bentley gives his friend an idea. "We'll deal with him Sly, you go and get the lamp."
Issei and Shuriya are running through the halls. They make it to the door where the lamp is being held. "Okay Shuriya, you'll enter and take the lamp while I hold the fort."
She nods and enters the room with the Dragon Emperor staying outside. He sees what look likes a samurai walk towards him. Issei summons his Boosted Gear as the samurai pulls out his katana. 'This energy, he is definitely more dangerous than anyone from Kyushu.'
"Stand aside Devil. The lamp is my target." The samurai said as he points his katana at Issei but he doesn't move. "I'm afraid I can't do that. I will make sure you don't enter."
The Devil King appears in front of the samurai and swings at him but he blocks with his blade. His barrage of attacks are either being dodge or deflects then wounds Issei. "Ah Got you!"
He kicks the samurai in the stomach and grabs him by the hair. But his chest is suddenly slash thanks to the samurai's katana. The samurai introduce himself and prepares another attack by sheathing his blade. "I am Goemon Ishikawa XIII and my blade Zantetsuken will end you."
"I like those odds. I'm Issei Hyoudou, future Devil and Harem King." The Boosted Gear readies for the attack by boosting his power.

"WA TAH!" He strikes while Goemon unsheathes his katana.

Shuriya walks to the throne and laying on it is the lamp that everyone is fighting over. However there are two guards standing in front of the throne. Between the pawn and the guards are the bodies of other thieves. She runs at them and kicks them but one of them grabs her and throws her back. The second guard stands next to the throne as the first walks towards Shuriya. The guard elbows her and she falls to the ground as he is about to grab her but he is electrocuted and falls unconscious. The shooter steps forward and aims her gun at the second guard. "Don't move Lupin."
Carmelita Fox reveals herself, holding the other guard hostage. He smiles and takes off his fake face to reveal Lupin. "Man, to think I would be captured by a sexy foxy lady."
"Keep talking and I will shoot you." Inspector Fox grabs the third generation thief and aims for his stomach. "Come out Zenigata!"
"LUPIN!" Inspector Zenigata shouts as the fox lets go of Lupin and then gets cuffed by his nemesis. Carmelita walks towards Shuriya and aims her gun at the pawn.
"Ah good to see you Pops." Lupin jokes as his nemesis holds him down. Everyone stops once the door opens to reveal the man in suit dragging Goemon and Issei. He throws them to the ground and it shows their injuries, Goemon has a black eye and is unconscious while Issei has Zantetsuken in his stomach. "Issei!" Shuriya shouts and tries to run to her king but Carmelita grabs her.
"Don't think about it. That is Secretary General Mustafa."
"I thank you both Inspectors. Now we just need to find Sly Cooper." Mustafa said with a voice that Shuriya knows. Her eyes widen once she realizes where she heard it from. She kicks Carmelita in the shins, making her kneel and she grabs her gun to fire an electric blast. The Secretary General is hit and falls to the ground. Inspector Fox is shocked and picks up Shuriya and slams her on the wall. "What have you done? Assassination of a international figure is punishable by death."
"No look at him." She begs the fox woman, who indulges her and looks at Mustafa's body and sees it standing back up. "How? The setting was lethal!"
"God damn you!" Mustafa shouts, standing up with a hole on his chest but it is closing like regeneration. Shuriya shouts the man's identity, holding Issei to protect him. "I remember you! You were the one that kidnapped me all those years ago! Right Mehmed V?!"
Mustafa changes form, gone is the middle age man now is a younger man with Middle Eastern features. "To think I would be revealed by the woman I wanted to get rid of and the daughter of the man that ruined my empire."
"Wait Mehmed V? The Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from World War 1?" Zenigata questions with Lupin smirking at the man. "Wow! For a man from the 1910s, he's got good skin condition. He must tell me his secrets."
"Joke all who want filth but all you thieves can enjoy life in the mines of my new Ottoman Empire." Mehmed declares as dark energy comes out of his body. "Hahaha! Behold my power!"
The weather changes into a mighty storm and lightning strikes everyone. Zenigata takes off Lupin's cuffs and he pulls out his gun and shoots him but his body is healing. "Okay how is he healing?!"
"He wishes for power and eternal youth from another genie that my father tried to steal." The Pawn of Issei announces and glares at the man. She throws Carmelita's gun back to the fox and runs at her father's nemesis using the knight piece but he summons lightning and dodges the strikes. Mehmed grabs her by the throat but she kicks him on the head, letting her go but he kicks her as well. "You cannot defeat me. You will die just like your father! The lamp will grant me infinite wealth and then I'll buy the countries to restore my empire!"
He turns to grab the lamp but sees it is gone. He looks up and sees Sly running away holding the lamp. The Sultan screams in pain due to Carmelita firing at him and Lupin shooting him. Raising his hands to summon lightning but Zenigata cuffs him and slams his arm down. "Now Issei!"
Issei, still with the katana in his stomach, stands and rips it out of his body then uppercuts the sultan. Sly drops down and throws a weapon at Shuriya. "Take it Shuriya. Do it for our family."
She grabs it, holding a cane that looks like the Cooper's. The pawn jumps at Mehmed and strikes along with her king. He pushes them back and summons lightning which strikes the palace, destroying the roof and showing everyone the dark sky. The winds begin to form tornadoes.
"Sly!" Carmelita shouts, seeing the raccoon thief holding onto a piece of the roof. "Don't worry Carmelita, I'll be alright!"
The Sultan rains down tornadoes to strike the city. He holds out his hands until a missile hits him. He looks up to see a helicopter is flying above the palace and fires it's minigun at him, stopping his power. The speakers come alive to reveal the pilot. "Come on Lupin! Don't tell me you are done?"
"Fujiko!" Lupin reveals the pilot, his friend and enemy. She keeps firing at Mehmed giving Sly the chance and throws the lamp. He drags himself to the lamp but the bullets are stopping his movement. Shuriya grabs the lamp with her cane and then bells are being rung. Everyone stops fighting once the sound of the bell is heard. She whispers, knowing what this means. "It's noon. The competition is over."
"Correct Shuriya al-Kupar." Jinn steps forward letting all see her noble vestige. "Congratulations milady, you are the winner and may have your 1 wish of any possibility."
"One wish..." Shuriya mutters and looks at her king in pain from the sword in his stomach but he shakes his head at the idea she had. She nods and looks at the lamp then the genie. Mehmed runs at the daughter of his enemy. "I wish for Mehmed V to lose his youth and powers."
"NO!" The former Sultan of the Ottoman Empire yells and summons thunder to strike her but Issei gets between them and blocks the attack with his own body. Mehmed tries to grab her but his hand turns to dust. His age is showing his true self, an old man trying to regain his past glory.
"Issei! You bastard! Tell me now, is my father dead?" The winner of the competition holds the sultan down with her cane and demands from the dying old man, who knows it is useless to hide the truth and reveals it as he turns to dust.
"Yes he is. When I captured you and sold you to the devils, I lied to him and told him that you were being kept by me. When he found the empty warehouse to find you, I detonated all the TNT inside to kill him. All that was left was his family's cane. Damn you al-Kupars. Damn you all..." Mehmed V turns to dust and with his death, the dream of the New Ottoman Empire.
Carmelita and Zenigata look at the dust of their former boss and then the thieves that they have chased for years. The Fox Inspector gives them a warning. "We are going after the criminals outside and giving you a ten minute head start."
Jinn looks at her destroyed palace and smiles. She snaps her fingers and the roof is repaired and the destroyed gate lifts in the air and puts back on its hinges. She sits upon her throne and thinks about her competition. "Well that was the most fun I've had in centuries. Quite the battle."
Issei along with Shuriya are standing next to the tunnel where Sly and Lupin are with them. "Guess we now know there is another thief that may rival us."
"Thank you Lupin. But Sly, we are related?" She asks, which makes the french thief look embarrassed. "That would be because of our ancestor: Salim al-Kupar. He was a well known womanizer and had many mistresses in his life. It wouldn't be a surprise that one of them got pregnant and started your family. Take the cane and wield it for your family."
She nods at this information. Her father did say that the founder of their family was the bastard child of a famous thief from Arabia. "I thank you Sly. I promise to hold the cane with respect."
The two enter the tunnel, leaving Ubar. They find themselves back at the abandon building. Outside, they find Ravel and the rest of the peerage. Issei is about to say something but he falls to the ground, bleeding from his stomach wound. Shuriya kneels down and tries to close the wound. "We need to help him!"
(Kure Village Hospital)
Issei is lying in the hospital bed with his stomach in bandages. His peerage is sitting beside him with Mira and Shuriya hugging their unconscious king. The doctor comes in and looks at his charts. "Well we were able to keep him stable. However we had to remove his appendix as it was ruptured. Sadly he is in a coma."
"Doctor, is there any way to heal him?" Ravel asks but he shakes his head. "We did the best we could but it was not just his stomach wound and thunder strike. He has been hit by arrows, ball and chain, and the rays of the sun. It could take months to heal from the wounds and even years for him to awaken."
The man that saves them from an abusive master is lying unconscious and they don't know what to do about it. Yubelluna's eyes widen at an idea and stands to get everyone's attention. "Asia Argento! Her Sacred Gear allows her to heal all wounds no matter how fatal."
"The problem is if her king will let her." Shuriya comments which makes them wonder. Rias is someone that holds grudges and seems to see Issei as a traitor but Yubelluna doesn't care and walks out. She growls and can be heard shouting.
"I'll kidnap her if it means to save Issei!"
Unknown to everyone, a flower petal is allowing two people outside the hospital to hear the conversation. The potted plant with a face looks at the one holding it. "Oh great, he got himself hurt. So best friend, are going to help that moron or not?"
"We will but we can't be seen for now."
