In the Last Chapter
She had no idea how did she manage to stammer out her question, "Y-you a-a-are...?"
The auburn-haired boy with a regal tone spoke, "I am, Lord Arthur Pendragon the Seventh, Head of the Royal and Arcane House of Pendragon of the Ten Master Clans and the Head of the Grand Family of Pendragon and the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Avalon."
All the other occupants could only laugh at the frequent opening and closing of Amelia Bones' mouth.
Lord Arthur Pendragon said, a bit seriousness returning back to his voice, "We have much to discuss Madam Bones, regarding the upcoming difficult future of Great Britain..."
Amelia Bones, without missing a beat, fellow on one knee, touched the hem of her robes and bowed gracefully in front of the Lord of the Pendragon, "Your Grace..."
Harry and Susan stopped laughing. Both were stunned by Amelia Bones' reaction to seeing the Pendragon Lord. Especially Susan. She had never seen her aunt being so submissive in someone's presence. The Minister, his trusted lacey, even some noble lords of Wizengamot, frustrated seeing her honesty in her work, tried several times tried to bend her to their command, but all failed miserably.
Lord Arthur Pendragon the Seventh smiling softly said in a regal manner, "Rise Lady Amelia Bones of Ancient and Noble House of Bones, a person, like you, who had always been ever faithful while carrying out your duties with honour and integrity, should never bow to anyone..."
Amelia Bones' eyes widened. Slowly she rose up, "Thank you, Your Grace...it is indeed an honour to meet a person of your stature..."
Arthur said, "The pleasure is all mine, to see that there are still some people in our real, who still work in the best of their abilities, in the servitude of the people of our Realm, Lady Bones..."
Harry and Susan's eyes widened, seeing Arthur speaking in such a regal manner, as a King addressing his subjects...
Madam Bones, in a hurried manner, said, "Please, address me Amelia, My Lord, I am no Lady..."
Arthur gave a low laugh and said, "You are a true Lady in its truest sense, by the means of virtue as well as deed..." Amelia blushed at the praise, "...but if you insist, I shall call you so...under the condition, that from henceforth you shall address me my name as well..."
Amelia's eyes widened. "My Lord, but-"
But Arthur interjected, "No buts Amelia, please call me Arthur, I insist..." Madam Bones nodded.
Harry could no longer restrain himself, "Wait what do you mean people of your 'Realm'?" Amelia looked at him like he had grown a second head.
Arthur laughed, "I guess, I should have taken Styller's advice and should have given my complete title. I thought, giving my last title would cause unnecessary confusion and would take even more time to explain things...well I will explain in a moment..."
With that, he raised his right arm and snapped his fingers. With a single snap, the door of the room locked itself. Then he tapped a silver bracelet on his left arm which released a wave of magic across the room.
Arthur then said, "Well...I guess... now we can have a fruitful discussion without any interruption or without the fear of being late for the meeting..."
Amelia feeling intrigued, said, "What did you do?" Arthur just chuckled, "I created a time dilation field in this room, that is separating us from the actual time frame of the world, outside this room, and making the time move faster in this enclosed room. In other words, five minutes spent in this room is equivalent to one minute in the outside world...in that way we can have a longer discussion..."
Amelia Bones' eyes widened hearing of such an unknown feat of magic, but Harry and Susan merely nodded, already having experienced that particular magic...
Flashback
At Gringotts
Harry unknowingly tightened his embrace around Susan and nodded with a sense of confidence and affirmation that was missing all these years, "So what do we do now?"
Arthur smiled seeing his new family's growing confidence, "First we plan..."
King Ragnok ushered them to another room that was adjacent to his office: a conference room.
The room consisted of a round-table mahogany table, along with numerous chairs.
Each took a seat for themselves. Arthur and Harry were seating facing each other, on polar opposite sides.
Arthur pulled the cuff of the jacket in his right hand, revealing a silver bracelet. But it was no ordinary bracelet. King Ragnok had already closed the door and nodded at Arthur.
Lord Pendragon took a deep breath and tapped the bracelet twice, releasing a wave of magic across the room.
He said, "Now we don't have to worry much about being late for the Wizengamot meeting?"
While the other smiled briefly, Harry and Susan felt intrigued asked together, "Why?"
Arthur gave a mischievous smile and said, "One of the Seven Pendragon Family Magicks: Time Dilation..."
While Susan had a look of confusion, but Harry, living his fair share in the muggle world, was no stranger to science-fiction. He said, with shock evident in his voice, "No way!" Arthur smirked, "Yes, sir...indeed this way..." All the others (except Susan) laughed at this.
Susan feeling left out, asked about the matter. Arthur explained it to her. Hearing, the impossible happening, she would have almost fainted, had Harry not helped her...
Flashback Ends
In Amelia Bones' office, there were numerous shelves, each stacked with numerous books and files. long with that, it had a beautifully crafted long rosewood working desk, along with one Head chair for herself, and two other visitor chairs. Amelia was about to offer her seat to him when Arthur conjured one for himself and sat there. Harry and Susan also took the remaining seats, while Amelia took her seat.
"So...Where to begin...?" Arthur said finally. Harry said, "What about the fact that you did not mention the rest of your title?"
Lord Pendragon nodded, "Yes...let me give a background story a bit..."
Each paid rapt attention to it. Arthur inwardly thought, 'Seems like I am a good storyteller...hmm...had I not other things in my plate, I would have taken storytelling as my calling perhaps...well whatever..."
"So..." Arthur continued, "You know about the muggle Age of Expansion from 15th Century to 18th Century?" Harry nodded. He continued, "But the Magical Age of Expansion was over almost three centuries before the Muggles even started..."
"Three Houses of the Ten Master Clans, the Pendragon, the Olympia, and the Maurya decided to finalize the boundaries of their Empires and put a full stop of further expansion, because, more than necessary land would have backfired against us...So House of Pendragon acquired lands of the majority of Europe, Scandinavia, and Northern Russia. This region came to be known as Magical Europe, and the Pendragons, being the ruling House, the Head, got the title of Emperor of Magical Europe...so yes...I am Lord Arthur Pendragon the Seventh, the Emperor of Magical Europe as well..." he trailed off in the end.
Harry was gobsmacked. He could no more process his mind. Seeing his new friend's mental dilemma, Arthur quickly added, "Don't worry about that too much..."
Harry gave his head a shake and tried to forget unnecessary things.
Arthur looked back at Madam Bones, "So...begin with your questions..."
Amelia Bones asked, "Okay My Lo-Arthur..." Arthur smiled at her. She took a deep breath and composed herself in her former no-nonsense attitude.
"Did the Pendragons come alone or...?"
Arthur swiftly replied, "All the other Houses of the Grand Family as well..." A bead of sweat rolled down from the Director's temple. This was not good at all.
Before she could say anything, he continued, "Apart from them, we brought some guests as well..." Amelia's eyebrows rose. She did not like the implications.
Arthur gave her a mystery-filled smile and said, "Representatives from the Houses of Olympia and Yotsuba..." All remaining colour was lost from her face the moment she said 'Yotsuba.'
Harry wondered 'Why everyone is afraid of the Yotsubas?'
Amelia stammered, "Even them?" Referring to the Yotsubas of course. Arthur simply continued, "Along with two registered Strategic-Class Magicians..." Susan's eyes widened and snapped her head back at the Lord of the Pendragons. She could tolerate no more, so she fainted and fell from her chair on the ground.
"AUNTIE!" Susan screeched hysterically and jumped to reach her aunt. Harry also tried to help Susan, but Arthur beat him.
Arthur instantly moved to help Madam Bones. He knelt and gently put her head on his lap looked intently on her face.
"Please help Arthur!" Susan screamed. Arthur smiled softly and said, "Don't worry, she just fainted. Nothing will happen to her."
Arthur hovered his palm over her face for some time, casting necessary spells required. Slowly, colour returned back to her face. Arthur pulled a small vial inside his coat, opened it cork, and gently poured it down Amelia Bones' throat. He said, looking at the concerned teens, "Calming Draught."
Arthur then said with a teaching tone, "Lesson 3: Always carry multiple vials of necessary potions always with yourself. You never know, when you will require one..." Harry and Susan both nodded. He helped the Director of the Magical Law Enforcement to get her back on her seat and then pointed his index finger on her temples and then muttered, "Rennervate!"
Madame Bones gave a light groan and muttered, "Oh...what a dream I had...Lord Pendragon along with Harry Potter and Susan are in my Office, and he mentioned that the Untouchables are here along with Strategic-Class magicians...dear Merlin..." Slowly but steadily she opened her eyes and was greeted by the amber-blue eyes of the auburn-haired Pendragon Lord.
Amelia Bones blinked quite a few times, in order to adjust her eye-sight. He turned her head to see Harry Potter and Susan were actually in her office. Then she realized that all of it actually was anything but dreams.
"Good morning..." Arthur Pendragon greeted her with an amused expression. Harry and Susan were sharing identical grins. Madam Bones understanding what had transpired, groaned loudly out of embarrassment.
"...So...none of those were dreams?..." She asked weakly. Arthur nodded while smiling wryly. While Amelia Bones collected herself, Harry asked the question that was lingering in his mind for some time, "Umm Arthur?"
"Yes?" Arthur Pendragon asked him to continue, so Harry continued, "Umm...earlier you mentioned in Hogwarts about Strategic-Class Magics and Strategic-Class Magicians, what are those all about? And moreover, why does everyone hearing the name of the Yotsubas act as that world has come to an end...?"
Amelia Bones looked shocked hearing that someone from the Wizarding World did not know about the Strategic-Class Magic and the deeds of the Yotsubas. She adopted a look filled with astonishment, "You don't know?!"
Harry suddenly looked very uncomfortable. Although many things regarding the Magical World were revealed to him that day, he did not know the most.
But Arthur saved him from giving any embarrassing comment, "You will know very soon why Mr. Potter does not know many things regarding the Magical World and most notably about his heritage..." He gave her a meaningful look.
Director Bones knitted her eyebrows for a moment then realization dawned upon her. With that, she began once again panicking. She stammered, "Y-you m-mean Mr. Potter is-"
"...part of Grand Family of Pendragon..."
She could only whisper, "How?"
Lord Arthur Pendragon the Seventh said with pride evident in his voice, "Royal and Imperial House of Peverell."
Amelia Bones' eyes widened like that of an inflated balloon. She looked at Harry with fear evident on her face. She stood up from her seat, went near her cabinet, and pulled a bottle of Ogden's Old Firewhisky, poured it in a goblet, and drank it in one gulp.
In a hoarse voice, she said, "Through the marriage of Iolanthe Peverell?" Arthur once again nodded. Collecting herself, she once again looked at Harry and suddenly he felt a bit uneasy.
Amelia Bones suddenly went up to Harry and before he could say anything, Director of Magical Law Enforcement, Lady Amelia Bones, fell on one of her knees and gave an elegant bow, similar to that she gave to Arthur and said in a humble tone, "Welcome back Royal and Imperial House of Peverell to the Lands of Britannia, Your Grace..."
Harry and Susan were beyond stunned. They could understand her bowing to Arthur but to Harry? They couldn't understand.
So, Harry hurriedly said, "Madam Bones, please! You don't need to bow to me or refer to me with any honorific title! Please, stand up!"
Amelia stood up uncertainly. Harry looked at Arthur with a questioning look.
Arthur simply sighed, "I will tell you sometime later, it will take some explaining." Harry simply nodded.
Before Arthur could continue, Amelia asked a valid question, "When we were taught about the other Noble Families of England in our childhood, we indeed learnt about the formation of House Potter through the marriage of Hardwin Potter and Iolanthe Peverell. But why no one could make a connection of House Peverell to House Potter? It's as if we simply forgot about it!"
Arthur nodded with a faint mysterious smile playing on his face. He said, "Excellent question! Not only you but many in Wizengamot is going to ask the same question. So, I guess I will answer you all at that same time?"
Amelia nodded with acceptance.
Arthur continued saying what he was telling earlier, "Anyway, as I was telling earlier…"
He looked at Harry and said, "You asked about the Strategic-Class Magics right?" Harry nodded.
Arthur thought for a while, contemplating how to explain. Then he asked Harry a question, "I guess, living in the mundane world for such a long time, you know about nuclear weapons and missiles, and what alone they are capable of doing?"
Harry nodded. In the History classes, of his old primary school, where he was taught about World War 2, and the widespread destruction to life and property caused by the two atomic bombs that were dropped in the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
And Humanity had long since evolved in the field of nuclear weapons. Thermo-nuclear missiles, Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM), and other such weapons of mass destruction. And Harry had a clear idea of what a nuclear missile could do.
Arthur continued, "So…in simple terms, Strategic-Class Magics do the exact work of a Nuclear missile: widescale destruction and Strategic-Class Magicians are nothing but living and walking nukes who are capable of performing it."
Harry's eyes widened greatly. He felt his throat dry.
"Strategic-Class magic is heavily regulated by the State and cannot be used arbitrarily. Besides, to perform Strategic-Class Magic heavy equipment and gadgets are required...so don't worry about it much..."
"But in Dahan-" before Amelia could continue, Arthur threw her a sharp look that forbade her to continue speaking on that topic.
Arthur then adopted a wistful attitude and looked at Harry and said, "And you asked why the Yotsuba's are feared so much?" Harry nodded. Lord Pendragon continued, "I want Tatsuya and Miyuki to tell you personally...after all, it's their own Family history, even though we played a major part in it..." He gave a long sigh and continued.
Then Arthur adopted a looked filled with mirth, "So...let's get on to why we came to England..." With that, all three of them, Arthur, Harry, and Susan explained, what occurred in Hogwarts these days, how the Pendragons came to know about it, and what happened in Hogwarts and visit Gringotts that day (omitting certain portions such as that of House protection and their plans at Gringotts)...
By the time Arthur finished, Amelia was hugging Susan tightly and openly sobbing.
"Oh, Susan!" She cried, "Why didn't you tell me anything?! I could have done something? You two didn't have to suffer all that!"
Susan tried to make her beloved aunt calm down, "It's alright Auntie. Everything is fine. Besides, I didn't want to make you worry about us as you had many things already on your plate this year..." Sadly, this was wrong for Susan to say because instead, it flared her emotions from concern towards her niece to anger.
She cried, "WHAT! What do you mean by that you didn't want to make me worry Sue?! Arthur is right! What would have happened to me if anything would have happened to you!" Susan flinched at this.
Arthur and Harry had been quiet this entire time, but now the young Lord Pendragon decided to intervene in order to stop the matter from further aggravating.
He said in a calm voice, "It's okay Amelia. Now that they are safe and are in our care everything is fine..."
Amelia flared at the Pendragon, "Everything is not fine Arthur! Had you not seen the news and not come to Britain to their aid, Merlin knows what would have happened to them! They should have at least informed a responsible adult about what the students were doing to them!" Arthur had nothing to refute this...because she was...correct...
At this, Harry broke his silence, "If the 'responsible' teachers of Hogwarts tended to avoid helping us, we didn't know whom to approach anymore. Everyone was against us, we didn't know what to do anymore..."
Silence descended in the entire room. Arthur sighed, "Anyway, the past cannot be changed anymore. Now that we are here and everyone is safe is all that matters. But I do have certain questions regarding you all..." Harry, Susan and, Amelia raised their eyebrows at this.
Arthur looked at Susan and with a sharp tone said, "Did you know exactly what it means to have your own House under the protection of another?" Susan visibly paled. Amelia's eyes widened. She said, "What did you do?"
Before Susan could reply, Arthur said, "She, as the Heir to the House Bones, took asylum under House Potter..."
Amelia screamed, "What?!" She looked at Susan and said, "DON'T YOU KNOW THE MAGICAL RAMIFICATIONS OF TAKING ASYLUM UNDER ANOTHER HOUSE!"
Susan simply stared at her feet, tears threatening to come out of her eyes.
For the first time in the day, Harry felt alarm bells ringing in his ears. He could not understand what they were talking about. Asylum? Magical ramifications?
Harry looked at Arthur and said, "Wait? Asylum? Did I do something wrong?"
Arthur looked at him and massaged his own temples. He said, "I guess you took Susan under the protection of House Potter." It was a statement and not a question. Harry nodded. Arthur continued, "As per magical laws if one House takes another House under their House, then the Protector House can do literally anything with the protected House, from seizing the contents of the Family money to forcing themselves on the members of the House under their protection. If you had raped Susan or taken any money from that she is entitled to, legally, no one could hurt you, because it's according to the law..."
No sooner did Arthur finish his explanation, Harry sprang from his chair, with shock evident in his voice.
"NO!" He cried, which stunned all of them. He continued, "I would have never done anything like that to Sue, EVER! I am not someone like that to take advantage of someone in times of their need. How could you all think that?!"
Susan sprang from her chair and fiercely hugged Harry which he returned. "Oh, Harry! Thank you so much!" She cried while sobbing keeping her head under his friend's chin.
Harry on the other hand gently patted Susan's back while softly whispering soothing words in her ears, "It's okay Susan. I would have never betrayed your trust like that ever...calm down..."
Arthur gave a soft smile and looked at the concerned Director of the Magical Enforcement, and said, "You worried yourself for no reason, Amelia. It's true I have been never been in contact with Harry before today, but I am a good judge of a character. As far I have seen Harry is far too noble to do such things..."
Amelia broke from her musings and gave a long sigh, and said, "I guess you are correct...but still..."
Arthur asked Susan, "By the way Susan..." The red-haired teen calmed by then and both she and Harry took their respective seats, "...I just want to know...what came up in your mind that you should avail protection from another House at all..."
Susan blushed at this and muttered something. "Sorry couldn't catch that?" Arthur said. Susan slowly said, "Harry got himself into this wretched Tournament, and I thought he would need all the help in the preparations, obviously before you all came to Britain. Being a Champion, he was exempted from attending the school classes...so if he took me under the protection-"
Before Susan could complete, Madam Bones cut her off, "You took protection under another House just to skip classes?!" Madam Bones asked scandalized.
Arthur's eyes widened and his mouth parted and closed continuously for some solid moments, before he could no more control and burst into laughter.
"Ha..ha..ha..ha...taking someone under protection so to simply skip class together! Ha..ha..ha...incredible! I will surely have to tell the Eveningshade siblings of this new method of skipping classes! Hahaha..." Now both Harry and Susan felt the foolishness of their actions. Amelia could not help but give a wry smile at her niece.
Finally, after Arthur calmed down and informed Amelia, "Amelia no need to worry anymore about the safety of Susan or about yourself anymore?" She only gave the Pendragon Lord a questioning glance, to which he replied, "Under Grand Family Protection Law, House Potter, through House Peverell, came under the protection of Royal and Arcane House of Pendragon, and by Rights of Proxy, House Bones also became a vassal of House Pendragon..."
Amelia's eyes widened and before she could say anything, Lord of Royal and Arcane House of Pendragon eased her fears, "...and don't worry, it's unconditional..."
Tears threatened to come out of her eyes. No one ever had done so much for her and her niece ever in their life, much less a literal stranger..." She mouthed a silent 'Thank You' to the young Lord Pendragon and nodded and acknowledged it.
Harry could not help but ask at this point, "Now that we are under the protection of the Pendragons, what does it actually mean for us?"
Arthur gave a smirk and said, "It means that not even a fool you dare to try to cause any harm to you any of you..." He said looking at the other three occupants of the room.
Harry's eyes were having a dangerous glint. He asked slowly, "What if someone tries?"
Arthur gave a condensing smile and said, "Then the person will face the wrath of an entire Master Clan..." All three of them felt chills down their spine.
"By the way Sue..." Amelia asked, "...from where did you get such clothing?" looking at her niece's outfit. Susan looking at Arthur, grinned a bit and said, "You know...when we went to Gringotts...Arthur was kind enough to gift us a new set of the dress..."
Arthur Pendragon the Seventh narrowed his eyes and looked at the red-haired girl, "I gifted you?" But mirth was evident in his voice.
Amelia looked at him and asked, "Why? What was the need of it?"
Arthur retorted, "Come on Amelia. Today will be your niece's debut performance along with her boy- sorry, male friend..." he wiggled his eyebrows at the now blushing teens, "...they deserve to look better..."
Amelia, feeling a bit of dread, asked, "Wait. What Gringotts/ And what debut performance? What am I missing?" She said looking at the two Hogwarts students.
Arthur groaned, "Come on Amelia. Surely you did not expect the Emergency meeting of the Wizengamot was called just to say a little hello to the old politicians, did you? Now that Harry and Susan are going to step into the world of international politics by staying with, so what's a better way than winning the stage in the home country?" Arthur laughed a bit at this.
Amelia feeling concerned for the safety of her niece, already knowing how big of a trouble magnet was Harry James Potter, asked, "Will it be alright for them?"
Arthur nodded, "Don't worry, they will have nothing else to do other than sitting and enjoying..."
"And Gringotts?" She asked. Arthur said, scratching his hair a bit, "Well you see it happened something like this..."
Flashback
At Gringotts
"So we have all seen the memories of the last fourteen years of your so-called 'life'," Arthur said making air-quotations while using the word 'life': dripping sarcasm at its highest level.
All of them nodded. Arthur adopted a thoughtful look for some time and asked, "Very interesting life you have lead till now, Harry. First Year: A philosopher's stone, second year a Basilisk, third-year dementors and a falsely-convicted person on chase, while the real perpetrator hiding and living in clear sight along with three high school students in a dormitory, and this someone is surely trying to cause immense harm if not death, at least...hmm..."
Lord Pendragon went silent for some time before saying, "But the question is: isn't it too much of a coincidence that from the very same year Harry Potter began attending Hogwarts, something or the other is happening at Hogwarts..."
Daenerys Targaryen the Eight pointed, "By the way...who hides a philosopher's stone in a school full of children? That also a fake one?"
"What?! Fake one?" Harry asked.
The foreigners simply laughed. Arthur said, "Really Harry? You believed our Professor Flamel will give just anyone his original Stone to anyone?"
Harry had a gobsmacked expression but then he remembered Arthur saying, Professor Flamel.
"Wait. Professor Flamel? Do you mean Nicholas Flamel is your professor?" All of them nodded. Ariana Pendragon said, "Yes. Professor Nicholas Flamel. Our Alchemy Elective Professor at our school Avalon Academy of Magic. He is the Dean of the Faculty of Alchemy. When we received your letter stating that you saved a Philosopher's Stone, we immediately confronted Professor Flamel and he told us what happened in 1991..."
Kristofer at that interjected, "Of course Professor Flamel gave that Old Whiskers Dumbledore a fake one. I mean seriously! This so-called Dark Lord Voldemort was not the first one or will never be the last one to attempt to steal the Philosopher's Stone from Flamel, after all, there are only 11 such stones..."
Harry did not know what to say. All that hardships in his first year only to save a fake stone?!
But then he asked, "Wait you said 11 such stones? I thought that Nicholas Flamel was the only alchemist to make the Philosopher's Stone?"
Miyuki said, "Yes Harry while it's true that Professor Flamel created the Philosopher's Stone, but he was not alone in the Project. In the late 14th century, a massive financial crisis hit the entire magical world, and the creation of such an element was sanctioned by a unanimous decision of the Ten Master Clans in order to tackle the situation, and also to tackle such unforeseeable situations in the future. Philosopher's Stone was created with the aim of only transmuting any metal into gold but due to a miscalculation in the runic data, it also created the Elixir of Life..."
At this Artemis pointed out, "Many believe that by drinking Elixir of Life, people gain immortality, which is a gross misconception. It only enhances your life, by removing any kind of pathogens in the body and keeping the body relatively young and healthy. So practically speaking, if Professor Flamel and her wife are ever stabbed, or hit by the death curse, they can die...Professor Flamel has one because he created it. Each Master Clan has one such stone. If a dire financial situation ever arises the stone is used to create gold, and if an epidemic or pandemic occurs then the Elixir of Life is used to make a cure for such diseases..."
Wow! It was a lot to take in for Harry and Susan. Neither knew so much about the Philosopher's Stone.
Arthur continued from there with a mischievous glint in his eyes, "Besides...Professor Flamel wants to meet you, Harry..." Harry's abruptly stopped his internal musings hearing Arthur's words.
"ME?! Why?" He could only ask. Arthur smirked, "Why, although it was a fake one, you risked your life to save it from a Dark Lord at such a young age...of course he is interested to meet you..." Harry could only nod uncertainly at that.
"Anyway..." Arthur continued from where the conversation was earlier, "...and what the hell a Basilisk roaming throughout the school and Dumbledore doesn't even notice? The portraits do not notice? The ghosts do not notice? Impossible...this means only one thing..."
"Something fishy has been going around since Harry Potter has entered Hogwarts..." Tatsuya Shiba concluded for everyone while the others simply nodded.
"And now about Sirius Black..." While saying this Kristofer adopted a disgusted look while Harry adopted a look of worry, "How the hell could they convict a person without even a Trial?! All concepts of the Right to Trial and Natural Justice already thrown out of the window and this is supposed to be the famed British Justice System which is renowned for following the Rule of Law? Absolutely abominable!" Others also nodded in agreement.
Arthur had been silent this entire time. He had kept his head down as if in deep thought. Sometime later he raised his head and looked directly at the green-eyed wizard, "Harry...what happened with your Godfather is absolutely unfair and should not happen to anybody...and I promise you that I will personally ensure that justice will be served in this matter...but it will take some time...can you wait till then?"
Harry was stunned hearing this. His Godfather, Sirius Black, will get the justice he deserves. He firmly nodded. Yes, he could wait.
At that time, Ariana frowned, "Hey Arthur..." Her twin looked in her direction with a questioning look, "What is it Ariana?" he asked.
Ariana Pendragon continued, "Why wait? You can literally issue a Royal Pardon and free him of all the charges, so-"
Arthur interjected, "You and I both know that issuing a Royal Pardon and being declared innocent in Trial are completely different entities and, besides I have a plan which I want to put into action..."
"Oh My goodness! Arthur has a plan! First time!" Kristofer piped up with a tone of false exclamation. Others laughed including Harry and Susan who simply chuckled.
Arthur adopted an indignant look, but his eyes gave away his true feelings. He grunted, "What do you mean the first time? Forgotten already with whose plans saved each of your asses back in school? 70% of the plans were created by me..."
This Artemis said in a sweet tone, "Yeah right Arthur, right? Can you also elaborate how plans were created by you which landed all of us into detentions?" Arthur wisely shut his mouth at this, while the others simply howled with laughter.
Seeing Arthur silent, Artemis ruffled his hair a bit and said, "Thought so..." Another round of laughter went throughout the room while Arthur simply grumbled something about the unfairness of the world.
"So it's time for us to plan..." Arthur finally said after all the excitement died finally. Harry threw him a questioning glance to which Arthur only smirked and replied, "It's time to plan.
Flashback ends
Amelia Bones groaned hearing what Arthur Pendragon had planned for the lazy old sheep of the British Wizarding World.
She smiled wryly at the young Lord Pendragon and said, "You know, what you have in store for them, is going to hit them hard..." Arthur simply smiled and said, "Which is required for the society to progress." Amelia could not help but nod at this.
Arthur looked at his watch only to find that it was almost time. With a snap of his finger, he removed the time dilation spell in the room.
He said in a firm voice, "It's time" and then stood up. The other occupants of the room also followed his lead. "Now..." he began, "...listen carefully what I have to tell you now..." With that, he explained to them in detail, what would happen, and how they should behave.
Arthur would not accompany them in the Wizengamot chambers just then. Amelia would escort them. He ould enter at the last, as they say, Best for the Last.
Before parting, Arthur had only one piece of advice for both Harry and Susan, "Do not be afraid. Wear a confident and regal look that clearly emits confidence and demands respect. Make them feels that you all are not just anybody, but a force to be reckoned with. Best of luck."
With that Arthur Pendragon the Seventh, left them to play their own part in the upcoming play where the stage is nothing but the Wizengamot Chamber: Courtroom 10, while himself preparing for his own role in this entire act.
