Chapter 14

Boyd was being held up by Isaac while Scott took Erica, getting them out of here was their first priority, Peter was not even a thought. They moved slowly trying their best not to injure their friends anymore than they already had. Scott thought on his feet quickly texting Stiles, they needed a ride out of here and thankfully Stiles was on standby.

"We will get you out of here, I promise." Scott said.

Kate smiled as she shocked Derek again but soon after she did, he quickly moved into position and slipping out her legs from under her he had her on the ground again. Kate smirked as Derek got on top of her whacking her wrist she let got of the baton and he tossed it away.

"You know if this weren't a fight Id think this was pretty kinky." Kate said once again trying to maneuver but Derek was too strong.

"I told you before, you aren't hurting anyone." Derek told her again before knocking her out, he just couldn't kill her.

Derek now ran off towards where he had heard the hunter say he was holding his other pack members unsure if Scott and Isaac were able to get them out.

Cora and Malia sat in the living room of the Hale house; they couldn't sit here anymore it had been about 2 hours now. Malia was pacing about the room as Cora sat there anxiously.

"Please stop, your making me even more anxious." Cora said to Malia who growled lightly.

"I can't it's like I can sense what's going on already." Malia said and went for the door.

"Where are you going, Peter said to stay." Cora reminded her.

"I don't care, they need our help." Malia said grabbing the keys for the car.

Cora got up and Malia got defensive but soon saw her grab her jacket, she was going with her and not listening to Peter either. Malia looked at her in shock as she wasn't sure what Cora was going to do. Cora smiled at her.

"Pack is pack, they need our help." Cora said leaving the house with Malia.

Scott and Isaac had to go slowly around the building now what had started as few hunters had turned into 10 to 20 due to Peter the alpha setting off an alarm. This amount of hunter coming into the building caused them to be more careful and trying to be a lot stealthier approach as they wouldn't be able to fend off the hunter while holding Boyd and Erica.

"This is going to slow." Isaac whispered as they hid behind a wall waiting for a group of 2 hunters to walk by.

"You're right but we have no idea their number or where they are." Scott whispered in retort.

Peter was doing his best making as much noise as possible while trying to get all of the hunters' attention though they knew Boyd and Erica were no longer in their custody he was hoping they would focus on him.

'Stupid hunters. I'll kill them all.' Peter thought and then howled into the air

Scott and Isaac were almost in the clear when a big light now blinded them, and 4 hunters came around the group of teens. Scott looked around they were screwed; no backup and they couldn't risk injuring their fellow pack mates. Guns pointed at them it looked like they were going to have to give up.

"Put the wolves down." They heard a male voice yell.

Right as they all went to fire however the light went out and only hard hits could be heard, Derek has made it just in time with Cora and Malia in toe with him. He took out the two on the left while Cora and Malia dealt with the 2 on the right. When the light came back on the group of teens were relieved to see them.

"Thank god I thought we were goners." Isaac said right as they heard the screeching of tires.

Stiles smirked as he blasted through an unlocked gate with his jeep, stopping he opened the door to the passenger seat. Scott and Isaac immediately went into action getting Boyd and Erica in the car

"Derek, Isaac, go with them" Scott aid loudly as a flash bang went off nearby.

More hunters entered the area as Stiles booked it into reverse as they had the other injured teens, Isaac, and Derek in the car. 'Good they are free.' Scott thought as he finally ley loose, turning full wolf he started his assault on the hunters coming at them. Cora did her normal half turn and Malia as well-turned full coyote.

The hunters were overwhelmed they had never face werewolves like these before its as if they were all so in sync with one another they couldn't even get their guns over before they had been downed and unconscious.

Peter watched as 'his pack' took on 6 hunters who went down and down fast, his training them had payed off. Scott who seemed like he was leading the charge was definitely a good beta, his beta that he had turned. 'I can't lose him as my second.' He thought

With the hunters down the werewolves fled the building going back towards the Hale house as that's where the others were headed. Peter watched them leave and returned to his car before driving back home. He figured that's where everyone was going the Hale house, his home.

Kate had woken up and made her way back to the abandoned electrical facility where she found most of the hunters her and her brother had called unconscious and a few were even dead. Yelling out into the darkness she took a breath.

"Hopefully the camera got some good footage we can use or at least the number of wolves we are dealing with." Kate said entering the building.

Getting in she got to the security room, they had set up a few cameras and watching them she saw so many people. She watched as the alpha came in first distracting the few guard she left for the wounded betas. After he came in two more boys came in, she couldn't see their faces just their size which she deduced made them young teens at most or maybe short men one of the two. She watched as they snuck past the backup once the alarm went off with the tow injured betas.

"The alpha definitely trained them well, Chris and I are gonna need more help." Kate said out loud to herself.

Scott and the others all ended up at the Hale house, Boyd and Erica were both upstairs sleeping off the injuries and trying to heal. Derek, Scott, Malia, Cora, and Isaac all sat in the living room all barely able to believe they saved their friend and lived to tell the tale. Scot had told Stiles to go home as he wasn't sure what Peter would do.

"We need to stick together Scott." Malia told him as she sitting next to him nuzzled up close to him.

"I can't, not with Peter as the alpha. He killed people and attacked Allison and I" Scott said to her though everyone in the room heard.

"I think at this point Scott you are right; I'm also leaving the pack. Cora are you going to come with me?" Derek said then asked Cora.

Peter walked up to the home right as he heard Derek's statement his red eyes flashed and he grew upset, he was losing his pack. Slamming the door as he entered, he turned towards the living room

"No one is going anywhere; you are part of my pack." Peter said in his alpha voice.

"You can't control me Peter I told you when I joined that it was temporary as I found out your motives. I know you want revenge for our family, but this isn't the way. Scott was right, the more bloodshed we spill they will return tenfold and so on and so forth until we are all dead." Derek said standing and Cora stood up behind him trying to back him.

That's when they heard the other two teens coming downstairs Erica and Boyd had healed enough to come down the stairs and try and join the conversation. Erica was holding Boyd's hand as they entered the room.

"Derek, we want to go with you. I'm sorry Peter but they are right and although you gave us this gift its too dangerous with these hunters." Boyd said.

Peter turned to them his claws out like he was going to hurt them as he did Scott and Derek moved fast throwing him to the ground and tossing him toward the other side of the room. The rest of the teens now all stood behind Derek and Scott. Peter got up and howled loudly thinking he could somehow stir them to his side but with Derek and Scott in the way no one moved.

"They are leaving as are we all." Scott told Peter who snarled and stared at his two strongest betas.

"Fine… Leave me but you will regret it Scott. They may leave but you will always be mine and you will find out soon enough." Peter warned the bot as everyone behind them left except Malia.

"Scott, I have nowhere to go." Malia told him.

"You can come with me." Scott said taking her hand as they walked out of the Hale house together.

"I AM THE ALPHA!" Peter yelled seeing his entire pack abandon him, then he saw Scotts phone and took it not his pocket plotting once again.

Derek had a place in town he owned a building he was trying to rebuild and set up for tenants to rent out rooms. Currently he only had one place available with two rooms, it was pretty big and would fit the rest of the pack when they came over. Cora, Boyd, and Erica had decided to join up with Derek while Isaac and Malia seemed to be in Scott's 'pack'.

"I don't think us splitting up is the best idea." Derek said to Cora as they sat in the living room to their new residents.

"I agree but I understand why Scott would want to, think about it." Cora told Derek talking about Scott sort of makeshift pack Isaac, Malia, and Stiles.

"I understand that, but we would do better together as one. We wouldn't need an alpha." Derek told her.

"You can't lie to me big brother; you would want to lead us." Cora said with a smirk.

"I know but I can't help but want all of them safe and with us. With me leading I could do what Peter couldn't, protect us all." Derek told his sister who sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Fine I get it, I'll stop talking about it. Just keep and eye on them for me, will you?" Derek asked his sister.

"They are very good friends of mine so of course I will. Especially with another full moon coming up, how are you gonna deal with Boyd, and Erica?" Cora stated then asked Derek.

"I have a place downstairs' we can lock them up in when the time comes, and I'll ask Scott about Isaac as well." He told her.

"Okay, well I'm off to bed. School tomorrow." She said going up a spiral staircase to her room.

Allison got to the school afraid as she knew at this point her parents had found out about her little skip day and looking out her front window she saw them with a woman who she was unable to see the face of only her back.

"Are you two Allison's parents, are you? I'm Scotts mom and I hate to say it, but he isn't answering his phone either." Melissa McCall asked the two people she saw who were looking exactly like her.

"You're his mother?" Chris asked the woman in front of him.

"Funny how you say that as an accusation." Melissa said already irritated.

Well, I wouldn't claim it as a source of pride since he basically kidnapped my daughter today." Chris said seriously.

"We don't know whose idea this was, how do we know it wasn't her idea to skip school?" Melissa asked accusingly.

"My daughter….is right there." Chris said stopping then continues as he saw her exiting her car and coming towards them.

Allison knew she would have to face the music eventually and though she had left Scott she also had to be at the parent teacher conferences as well. Walking up to her dad she saw the woman turn and wasn't sure but some of her features reminded her of Scott. 'she must be Mrs. McCall, great first impression' she thought to herself also trying to come up with a reason for Scotts absence.

"Where exactly have you been?" Chris said to his daughter aggressively trying not to yell.

"Nowhere dad just…." She was interrupted as her father cut in.

"Not at School, I bet this was that boy's idea." Chris said accusingly as Melissa came up behind him.

"It wasn't his fault it was my birthday and…." She was then interrupted again as Melissa spoke over her.

"Where is Scott?" Melissa asked the girl.

"You can find that out yourself. Allison in the car." Chris ordered and as he did, they heard screamed coming from around the corner.

People in the are all were panicking s they ran from around the corner screaming in terror from something none of them could see. As they all ran more people started getting in their cars for defensive purposed and that when Chris heard the growl of an animal and went towards his car to grab his .45.

From behind them Mr. Stalinski came out with his hand on his side arm as he ran towards the screaming. People were still panicking running around the parking lot while the growling got louder, looking underneath the car he Mr. Stalinski saw only peoples feet as he tried to figure out what they were all running from. As he was trying to run around a car was backing up and hit him causing Mr. Stalinski to fall to the ground.

Chris however was more ready and prepared dodging cars and panicking people and that's when he saw the creature thought it wasn't what he thought it was going to be. S the animal ran at him he aimed his pistol and with two shots the animal was down.

The onlookers were stunned to see the dead animal no longer moving a laying on the ground, what Chris thought was going to be a werewolf or perhaps the alpha was instead an actual mountain lion.

Melissa was driving home trying to get a hold of Scott especially after the recent events of the mountain lion attack. She sighed walking in she found Scott in the living room with a very quiet Malia, she was uncharacteristically quiet.

"Scott McCall…" she started but seeing Malia she stopped.

"Mom, can it wait?" Scott asked

"It can you can be sure we will talk about it, what happened?" Melissa asked her son and motioned towards Malia.

Scott and Malia had a little bit of time to figure out a story of why she needed to stay with them and why Scott wasn't there tonight. They decided they would go with the drunk father story as it was well known Peter Hale had been through a lot.

Scott explained to his mother the cover story about how Peter had been drinking and on his wat to the school Malia had texted him and he went to her defense right away. They said he hadn't hit her only because Scott had gotten her out in time, but she needed somewhere she felt safe to stay.

"It's fine, I'm just glad she is okay." Melissa said and hugged the girl tightly who hugged her back.

"Thank you, Melissa, so much." Malia said with a small smile.

"I'm sorry I didn't go to the school Mom; I must have left my phone at the Hale house." Scott said thinking on his feet about how he had lost his phone.

"It's fine but we will eventually have a talk about you skipping school and your grades but what's most important now is you Malia." Melissa told her son then turned to Malia and stroked her cheek gently.

"Let's get you kids to bed you have school in the morning and I've had a bit too much excitement for the night." Melissa said with a sigh.

"What happened Mom?" Scott asked.

"There was a wild animal attack at the school, thankfully Mr. Argent was there and killed the creature." Melissa said.

Scotts eyes widened hoping it wasn't what he thought it was though he figured if it was, she wouldn't be as calm.

"What was the animal?" Scott asked her.

"Just a mountain lion, the cops think it's the one that's been attacking people." She told the teens.

Malia and Scott looked at each other with everything that been going on they wondered how Peter must have gotten a mountain lion to go to the school and attack people for that matter. Both went upstairs and went to their respective room.

Malia however was having issues as she tried to sleep, she couldn't, too much had happened, and she couldn't sleep. About one hour after she entered the room and tried to get to sleep, she decided she would go see Scott. Getting up she snuck through the hallway and got into Scott's room.

"Are you still awake?" Malia asked Scott as she went to the side of his bed.

"Barely…" Scott responded half-asleep.

"Is it okay if I sleep with you? I cant sleep by myself." Malia asked as she entered the bed and now lay on the right side of Scott.

"Yeah that's fine… I guess." Scott said hoping he wouldn't regret it later and now was back to back with her as they lay in his bed.

"Scott, do you think maybe you could hold me like when I had first turned human?" Malia asked, she really needed the support right now though she wasn't sure if Scott would be okay with it.

"Yeah… I can." Scott said and turning around now cuddled up close to her arms wrapping around her, soon after that they both fell asleep.
