But the greatest fight of all is. . . The conflict within the heart with weapons that many know as. . .

My consciousness slowly began to come back to me, but I didn't open my eyes. Not just yet. I had never felt so relaxed and well-rested for decades, but the big question is what made this even possible? I turned to the side and just relaxed into the soft pillo- Wait, what? My eyes snapped open and instantly shot up from my sleepy form. I looked at the so-called pillow I had rested my head on, only to see Hiei's lap and his sleeping form who was leaning against the tree with arms crossed over his chest and eyes closed while wearing a peaceful look on his face.

But how on earth did I ended up sleeping on his lap?!

"Good morning sleeping beauty." I hear my brother's greeting that came out more like a snort. If my face wasn't burning before, now my head is maybe set on fire. I snapped my head to Yusuke's direction, and I see his Chesirecat-like grin on his face while Carrot Top next to him was trying everything in his power to hold back his roar of laughter. "Pfff-Sleep well?" Yusuke tauntingly questioned through his pressed lips, but soon he and his idiot friend burst out laughing like no tomorrow. My embarrassment soon recovered and now I was just pissed off at these jerks. I subconsciously grabbed onto the grass beneath me. As my grip got tighter, suddenly the coldness began to spread on my hand and on the grass in a line of ice. Soon ice cuffs began to tie the boys' ankle and hands, making them finally stop laughing and panics like some girls who just saw a rat or something.

"Hey, what's going on?!" Kazuma screamed as he tried to pull himself off of the ground and out of the ice traps, but he remained completely stuck.

"THE HELL IS THIS?!" Brother dearest shouted in surprise.

"Huh?" I hummed thoughtfully as I lifted up my hands and look at them dumbfounded. My pouch is sealed shut-. I slightly gasped in realization.

Of course. . . Where there is life, there is water, and plants also contain water. . . . and so is many things.

"YOU LITTLE BRAT! COME HERE SO I CAN KICK YOUR ASS!" Yusuke's threat snapped me out of my thoughts, making me look up to him and see him pathetic attempt to free himself from my ice trap. I just hummed in response as I inhaled through my nose to get some fresh air into my system. I opened one eye to see Ruby and Rosehead coming toward us. They looked at my newfound masterpiece a little shocked, but it was mostly covered by confusion.

"Did we miss something?" Shuichi dearest asked puzzled like a lost puppy.

"Oh, nothing." I told him lazily with a shrug as I closed my eye again and just kept them like that as my brother and the Carrot Top kept on complaining and whining, but I said nothing and just let them suffer. The fun was over though when Hiei woke up and then began to continue with our quest to take down the evil Wizard of OZ. It felt like forever, and it was boring. As my brother and Kuwabara kept on chatting about some dumbass plan, mostly that is all about ass-kicking with no brains I sighed and just folded my hands behind my back. My eyes found nothing interesting to stare at, but for some reason, they kept on looking at these trees that are surrounding us. I rose an eyebrow when finally noticed something with my ear. Besides my dipstick of a brother bitching to Kuwabara these woods were early quiet. Too quiet to be more then suddenly I felt the burning sensation coming back again on the skin of my left shoulder. I flinch and in a reflex I clung onto it, making my feet stop on their tracks.

"Is something wrong?" I hear Kurama ask me quietly with concern while Ruby rushed to my side and looked at my left arm.

"It's happening again?" Ruby asked me in a whisper since she doesn't want to expose my Phoenix secret to the boys. And I want to keep it that way until I am ready. I gave a tiny head nod before looking down at my feet that wore those ballet flats. That's when I remembered about what Akio had told me in the dream. . .

He defeated Zankoku with the help of the Phoenix Flame, and probably I have to use that too if nothing else helps. . .

I let out a sigh and bent down, taking off my shoes. In that way, I can sense the vibration of the ground. . . At first I was just curious when I asked Master Yara to teach me this method, but now I find it quiet useful, even though I was not as good as her.

"What are you doing sis?" Yusuke asked me dumbfounded, but I just huffed in response before getting up with my flats in my right hand while continuing walking barefoot.

"Tsk." I hear Hiei scoff, making me glare at him through my eyes for a moment before turning back around and just let out a frustrated sigh. We kept on walking for a while, but so far I didn't detect anything for long, and just for a second I thought maybe we will be able to get to the castle without any problem.

However, deep down I know this was too good to be true-.

A high pitched scream of bloody murder rang through the air, making me froze. But it was not because of the sudden voice. It was because of the fact that it was familiar to me.

"Geez, what's this? Some kind of bird?" Carrot Top yelped out before landing on his butt.

"No." Kurama breathed out as he looked for the source a little distressed. "This is no bird. It's a person." Then another scream came, with words.

"YUSUKE HELP ME!" That familiar voice screeched. What? That voice. . .

"KEIKO!" Yusuke screamed before running to the direction where the sound is.

"Yusuke, don't!" Rosehead warned but too late, my brother was already gone between the woods. Without thinking I raced after him. I tried my very best to catch up to his speed, but I wasn't fast enough and soon my eyes also lost the sight of my brother's green jumpsuit.

Damn it! Where did he go?!

I can no longer hear the screaming of 'Keiko', but Yusuke is gone and I lost my team- Then it hit me like a boulder.

I let out a groan as I realized what is happening. What was I even thinking?! Now I had cut myself from my team. Something that Magician douchebag probably wanted to do. . .

Stupid Miyuki! IDIOT!

"Miyuki!" I pull out one of my kunai knives and was ready to strike, but as soon as I turned on my heels, I was face to face my favourite redhead and the Almighty Shadow Lord, who was running toward my direction. "Are you okay?" He asked me with concern. I relaxed a little, giving a small weak nod as a response, however, this didn't stop me from hold up my defensive position still.

"Where are the others?" I asked him as I looked over him, but no one was there from our group besides Hiei. "Where are Ruby and Kazuma?"

"I swear they were behind us a second ago." Rosehead replied with a small gasp as he also turned around to notice our friends were gone.

"Great, now what?" I cried out in frustration as I slapped my forehead.

"Hn, if you want to blame someone, blame yourself for being a fool!" Hiei replied firmly with irritation dripping from his tone. "What were you thinking?! By following your oaf of a sibling you just set us and yourself into a trap." I glared at the little pipsqueak as I pointed the knife in my hand threateningly. Even though he is telling the truth this little punk is still such a pain in the ass, and this demon is also my life partner who I am connected to by this so-called 'fate'. How on earth did I even manage to pull this off, because it's ridiculous!?

"Oh, yeah?!" I asked him in a shout as my patience is running out. " Like you are any different here?! And what about the time when you almost got yourself killed for like three times. You may have strength an all, but you're just like my brother, a hot-headed idiot who uses his fists instead of his brain most of the damn time." I was now right in front of his face with my eyes narrowed, eyebrows furrowed and teeth-baring like I was a wolf in the wild. Hiei mirrored the same actions as we almost butted our heads like goats.

"Enough you two!" Rosehead snapped at us as he also pulled each of us away by our shoulders. But it didn't stop us from glaring at each other, but that small childish fight was over when my ears caught another voice's desperate scream and yell. Another familiar one, but this time it caught Shuichi's attention the most. "Mother?" He asked out of pure terror and from his position I can tell that he wants to run as well.

"Fox!" Hiei warned him with a low tone. In reflex, I rushed over and wrapped my arms around his waist, holding him in one place with all my might.

"It's not her Shuichi!" I try to convince him as I firmly held him in my embrace. He tried to wiggle his way out of my grasp, but I didn't let him lose his head just like I did a minute ago. "It's Zankoku! That coward is trying to separate us even further as an attempt to capture us one by one. . ." I trailed off with a small growl to myself as I darted my gaze around the place. Once Rosehead finally calmed down, I let go of him, giving him the choice to move again. He turned to me with a serious look with eyes that had a mixture of many emotions that were hard to define.

"But how?" He asked me. "How did he know about our loved ones?"

"He probably sent spies to the Living World." Hiei guessed, but I didn't care about how he knows, what matters is what are we going to do now.

"That's the least of our problems. " I spoke up. " We have to find the others first."

"R-right." My redheaded friend replied and by the look on his expression that made my seriousness soften up with empathy. I can tell that he felt like an idiot to almost fall for a trick like this, but I was also able to see the worry in his eyes. Worry towards the only family he was left with.

"It's okay Shu!" I tried to reassure him as I grabbed onto his forearms gently, gaining his attention. "She is fine. And she will be, even after the end of this mission. Just try not to lose your head, got it?" My childhood best friend didn't meet my eyes but he gave a nod of agreement. "Alright." I breathed out in relief. Just as I let go of him, I felt something with my feet. It was moving under the ground and it is reaching up toward us.

Immediately I pulled out my water whip and pushed the boys far away from the areas. Just then, two rock-like giant hands broke out of the ground and were about to grab me, but thankfully, I managed to escape from them by jumping up high from their reach. Unfortunately, I failed to sense the third rock like - giant, that just rose out from the dirt and grabbed me by my whole upper body.

"Miyuki!" Kurama shouted my name while I let out a small yelp as I found myself within the monster's grasp. Wiggling my way out of this won't work, and being unable to move my arms are a problem as well. The rock hand around me started to strongly squeeze the air out of me, making me grunt under my breath. Then out of nowhere, a familiar-looking rose whip with sharp thorns wrapped around my captor's hand and cut it off. The grip loosens up and I was finally able to breathe again. I was expecting to land on my butt, but instead, two strong arms caught my figure. My gaze looked for the rescuer's face and soon met with those crimson orbs again along with a face that belonged to. . .

"Hiei. . . ?" I breathed out in shock and surprise, but that soon disappeared when I felt pain in my chest area. "Crap. . ." I suddenly winched.

"Are you okay?" I hear my redheaded friend ask me. I just nodded with my eyes shut tightly while I got back up to my feet with the help of the demon boy. I sloppily, but somehow managed to summon some water again from my leather bag, that circled the three of us like a shield. I looked at the beasts we are dealing with closely. Giant Rock Golems with eyes glowing bright-blue along with the cracks on their body and the ancient runes that are surrounding them like chains. The one who almost squeezed the life out of me was still standing and to my utter annoyance, he managed to place his arm back up that had been cut off a few seconds ago. To make matters worse, I sensed something else as well. The energy of another presence.

"How touching." A sickly sweet but insane feminine voice spoke up that soon revealed her appearance. I feel my eyes opening wider while a small gasp escaped through my lips. It was that woman from my nightmare. One of Zankoku's daughter with magenta warrior uniform with short silky black hair and golden snake-like eyes. She twirled her sai knives around before pointing one in our direction. "The Prince Charming and the Dark Knight came to rescue the damsel in distress." The enemy joked tauntingly with her annoying high pitched voice. "Too bad that not every story gets it's a happy ending." Before I knew, that bitch suddenly disappeared in a small cloud of purple mist. Then I was harshly kicked in the stomach area, making me fly in the air then hit my back against one of the trees, breaking it in half in the process. I fell to my side with a loud thud as my ears were ringing. With some difficulty, I managed to get back on my feet and raised one of my hands in the air while trying to bend the water. However, I soon realized I had just lost every single drop from my bota bag due to that warrior's attack. Before I can even do much, I was kicked on the head, making me fell back to the ground in pain again. I see the feet of that bitch while my eyes also caught my teammates who were busy with the three Rock Golems. "What are you gonna do now princess?" Taunted the masked warrior with her annoying giggles. "Your little toys found a better owner. Leaving you all alone. . . ." My eyes glared up at her figure with my gaze while a snarl formed onto my expression.

'You Bitch!' I shouted in my mind enraged.

My hands grasped onto the grass, sending all the energy inside the water-filled plants that soon trapped the enemy's feet. I hear her gasp but I gave her no time to process and just jumped up with my right hand covered with ice fist. I punched the crazy bitch away from me, the impact also caused to break her ankle's free from my ice cuffs. As her body landed on the ground, I wasted no time and was ready for another bitch slap, but with my ice fist.

However, as soon as it reached the head of Ms. Crazy lady, she disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke. My ice fist created small cracks on the ground, leaving a small mark there while the ice shield broke into pieces.

"What?" I cried out as I instantly got up from the ground and look around frantically.

Where is that bitch now?

"You're strong." A low and cold voice whispered, dangerously close to my ear. I turned the water on my hand into a blade and was ready to cut her. But then I was suddenly hit at some points on my back by the enemy. My body suddenly just stopped functioning and it went limp like a rag doll. I let out a loud gasp as I hit the ground, motionless. Not being able to move is an understatement, but this was horrifying. I felt completely numb and I couldn't even open my mouth. "But not fast enough." That was the last thing I heard before something hit the back of my head, pushing my consciousness into the depth of the darkness inside my mind.
