Synopsis:
She was happiness. She was joy. A charming little girl with who would always see the positive side of things and try to find the good in people's heart. . . That girl was me, at some point. An innocent soul with a pure heart along with the mindset where everyone would get their happily ever after, prince charming and everything like in most fairy tales. . .
But this story is not one of those.
There is no prince charming or a knight in shining armour, but I can guarantee you that there will be dragons with flames, demons from many kinds, creatures from legends, and battles like no other.
But the greatest fight of all is. . . The conflict within the heart with weapons that many know as. . .
Emotions. . .
I am Miyuki Urameshi. The girl who lost her spark, but ended up coming back as the whole damn fire.

I opened my groggy eyes as a huge groan escaped from my mouth. I feel like crap, no doubt, after trying to beat up a bunch of stupid living rocks, no wonder. Not to mention that Keiko was not there, but I swear I heard her screaming, so did the others.
I was about to leave, but then I noticed something rather odd. I feel my feet touching the ground, but they are chained down with iron cuffs while my body felt like it's being hanged by my wrist. It wasn't particularly bright here, but I still managed to see the dungeon I am in at the moment in the cold air with the many dust and spider web surrounding us.
How nice to welcome guests like that, but I would prefer the nice old warm bed with breakfast instead.
"Urameshi!" I hear that familliar gruff voice call my name beside me. I turn around and see Kuwabara, also chained up in a way I am with Kurama beside him who seems out cold, hanging.
"Good morning to you too pal." I greeted Kuwa with heavy sarcasm.
"This is no time for jokes!" Kuwa snapped at me angrily. "Ruby is in trouble and probably Miyuki as well, and we gotta do something about it." Now that finally got my brain to think a bit clearer.
"Speaking of the 'Raindrops', where are the girls?" I asked as I looked around our little chamber.
Jeez, it looks like something that is brought straight out of a horror movie or something. On cue, fox boy awakes-.
"NO!" He cried out in distress and looked around like someone would kill him in any minute now or something like that. Well, it must have been one crazy nightmare.
"Glad you can finally join us Foxboy." I joked with a small chuckle, hoping that it would lighten up the mood, but looks like I just made it far worse. Wow, would you find me crazy if I tell I miss my sister's scowling at me at times when she is not around?
"Where are they?" Kurama asked in distress. "Where are Hiei and Miyuki?!"
"We don't know." Kuwa informed. "The last thing I remember was protecting Ruby from those rocks and then I got hit in the head. Then I woke up here. Ugh, speaking of the runt boy, did he got captured as well?"
"I'm not sure myself either." Kurama confessed as he looked down ashamed. "The last thing I remember was Miyuki's fall while I was defeated by one of those Golems. . ."
"And Hiei?" I questioned as I feel the worry now building up inside of me. I only got a shake of a head from the Foxy.
"Great, now what?" Kuwabara asked. What a stupid question, and even bold enough to ask it with that ugly face.
"What do you mean 'now what'?" I snapped at him as an eyebrow twitched with irritation. "We're getting out of these chains and kick some Wizard ass!" I stated the obvious and was ready to rip myself out of these stupid cuffs, but when I pulled them with everything I had, nothing worked. Well, I imagined this moment better in my mind. I shook my head rapidly and tried again, but it was no use and it pisses me off. "Damn it!" I growled out of frustration. "It looked so easy in movies!"
"So we're stuck. . ." Loudmouth stated, disappointed. Then Fox-Face hummed out loud thoughtfully.
"I wonder. . ." I hear Kurama thought out loud. I watched him curiously. I see vines coming out of his hair and it began to wrap itself around those red locks, but then suddenly some sort of red energy zapped him. Kurama let out a short yell while that small flower turned into nothing more than ash.
"Hey, are you okay?" Kuwa asked our friend who looked hurt.
"I'm fine." Foxy grunted before looking at those cuffs on our feet and hands. "But it looks like we can't use our spirit powers since it's been restricted by some sort of spell."
"Say what?" Kuwabara and I asked in shock. You've got to be kidding me.
"That's right peasants." A new voice chimed in, making me turn to the source. The door made out of iron bars suddenly flung open, giving a chance to let two chicks in masks and swimsuits or warrior clothing walk into the cell. They look hot I admit that, but they're also our enemies so I have no problem kicking their asses.
"That lady again." Kuwa exclaimed as he eyed Blueberry. The woman with blue attire and long black hair identical to the purple one's next to her.
"Where are our friends?" Kurama asked them, his voice full of anger.
"Yeah, where are Hiei, Ruby, and Miyuki?" I demanded right after Foxy's question, only to get a fit of girly and annoying giggle from one of those witches.
"Why need them when you can have me?" Asked the woman in a purple dress with a sweetly sick voice that just made my stomach do a flip in disgust. She walked over to us and got to our faces. Way too close to comfort, and I feel like sooner or later, I will puke on myself for sure as hell. "I'm sure I can use some good meal with some . . ." She trailed off dramatically as she stopped in front of Kurama with lust-filled eyes. How gross. " Company. . ." The bitch said in a seducing manner as she aggressively grabbed onto Kurama's chin and forced him to face that monster.
"Don't you touch him!" I warned her angrily because we don't have time for this horny shit, plus I hate seeing my friends in situations like this.
"That's enough Mara." The other chick in blue outfit spoke up, earning a small dramatic whine from that slut.
"What's the matter Kata?" The chick, Mara asked. "Jealous that I get all the fun, sister dear?" She taunted.
Sister? These two are sisters? Give me a break. Sure they share some looks and all but they don't seem alike in some ways. Especially their personality. Or are they? I am not sure, but this is still just . . . ugh. . .
"They are not your toys, they are our prisoners." Kata replied sternly. "And last time I checked, we're here because we want to make sure that all of them were brought here alive so Father can, later on, see what he can do to them."
"Maybe with those two slackers." The Mara bitch replied as she gave a pointed look at me and Kuwabara.
"Hey!" I screamed at her offended. This bitch is really starting to piss me off.
"But well, we'll see. . . for now. . . " Mara suddenly trails off before pulling off her mask-.
"AAAGH!" Kuwa exclaimed.
"YIKES! HOW NASTY!" I can't help but comment, feeling creeped out by the razor-sharp teeth that were revealed on each side of her cheeks. She had a lip in the middle, but oh, boy she looked hideous as heck.
"I'll see you later Foxboy." Mara flirtatiously dibbed a goodbye and almost kissed Kurama on the lips, if he didn't turn his head away fast. The bitch kissed his cheek thankfully, but it still sent shivers down my spine because yikes, she is still ugly as hell. Mara left us with one scary look on her face before covering it up with a mask then finally got out of our eyesight. Never in my life want to see that chick. . . ever. . .
"You still haven't answered my question." Kurama suddenly growled. "Where are they?!" I waited intensely for Kata because she looked like she was about to answer us.
"She is okay, and they are perfectly alive. . ." Was all the woman said before leaving us in the cell and close it.
"Okay, I am confused." The ugly one spoke up right after our only escape is closed. "Who is she talking about."
"Well, for one I think she was probably hinting that one of the girls is okay and is placed in a different cell, while the other two members are either trapped here like us somewhere else different or out there free." Kurama explained to us.
"But for the meantime how are we going to get out of here?" I asked a little annoyed, not because I don't like Fox-face right now, I just hate being so helpless and not being able to do anything.
"I will think of something." Kurama tried to reassure me, but I can see that in his face that said he is not sure about himself. "For now let's just hope that the others are okay."
"We're screwed." Kuwa pulled the words right out of my mouth.
'I just hope Miyu is okay.' I thought to myself with concern.
Meanwhile, back inside the wilderness, there was a huge waterfall. On it's bottom, they were two figures lying on the dry land, motionless but breathing. It didn't last long because the Fire Demon's eyes next to his other Spirit Detective ally, they fluttered open as the demon's lungs begged for air. However, when he did that, something was caught up in his throat, making him jolt up from his lying position and cough out that small amount of water from his system.
'Water. . . ?' Hiei asked himself. 'What happened?' He shut his eyes tight as he held his head that is pounding hard and painfully. But despite that, he still got the flashbacks that played in his mind.
"MIYUKI!" The redheaded demon cried out, making the fire demon's attention turn to the said person who just got knocked out by Mara. The female warrior soon lifted up her weapon high, ready to finish the Female Detective off. Immediately, Hiei sped off and knocked one of the sai knives out of the woman's grasp right before striking with his sword. However, another puff of purple smoke appeared while the female warrior disappeared in the process. Fortunately, the fire demon knew she was going to reappear behind her, thanks to his Jagan. Hiei quickly turned with his sword and his weapon and Mara's clashed, sending sparks everywhere.
"You're fast." Stated the enemy with a flirtatious and sick voice. "Not to mention handsome." She added before disappearing again and reappear, sending a kick right at Hiei, but he again blocked it with his forearms. "Too bad that I have to finish you off." The warrior woman said, mocking a sad tone. "You would make a fine warrior for us." With a growl, Hiei picked himself up from the ground and strikes again with his sword fast. Mara disappeared once again, then from then on repeated the same attack on the fire demon again and again. When she attacked with her sai, Hiei blocked them, but unfortunately for him, those weapons were covered with some spirit energy that protected them, and because of that, his sword's blade broke off from the handle. Mara vanished right after that attack.
This was the last straw for the fire demon. Hiei had enough of the childish games, and to play 'nice'. His fist suddenly started to lit up with fire that punched Mara right in the face the next time she reappeared. She cried out in pain before her back was hit against one of the Rock Golem's back. With a small huff, Hiei turned his attention away from his enemy and gathered Miyuki in his arms.
"Hey! Wake Up Detective!" He shook her a little harshly but his teammate didn't even budge. Just then his ears had caught the sound of Kurama's scream who was now trapped between the grasps of those Golems. "KURAMA!" Hiei shouted and was about to go and help, but his redheaded friend shook his friend.
"GET OUT OF HERE HIEI!" The redhead weakly shouted between huffs as he tries to breathe, but the tight hold he was captured by those rock monsters doesn't allow him. "GET HER OUT OF HERE!" He quickly added as his eyes glanced at Miyuki's unconscious figure. The Fire Demon for the first time felt hesitation. He didn't want to leave his partner in crime, but he also doesn't want to get himself and his teammate captured, because in that way, that would be the end game for them and the ultimate victory for the enemy himself. "GO!" Kurama shouted in full voice just before his head dropped down, hiding his eyes under the covers of his rose-red locks. That was the last push that made Hiei finally make the decision. As much as he hated this he picked up Miyuki's body and escaped from the place. But not without having someone who would chase them, only to stop them.
"Leaving so soon?!" Mara asked with her insanely sweet and creepy voice while as she threw Sai knives at the fleeing demon with his teammate in arms. They were made out of the purple fire, looking all sharp and deadly, but they missed at each attempt. However, Hiei's race was cut short when he found himself at the edge of a cliff that had a waterfall beside a huge drop that was at least one hundred feet tall from where the fire demon stands. "Time to die, filthy demon." Mara said. Hiei was about to jump, but the warrior already helped him by sending a huge purple fire orb towards their direction. In the very last second The Fire Demon turned his body away while holding onto the unconscious female figure tightly in a protective manner. His back took the blow then they fell off of the edge and hit the water.
Now it all came together, but this didn't make Hiei feel any better. In fact, it made him feel extremely angry. His mood soon dropped down when Miyuki let out a good fit of coughing. She turned to the side and began to barf out water.
"Damn it." She croaked as she turned onto her back again, trying to get air in her lungs.
"About time you wake up." Hiei greeted her harshly as he however over the female Spirit Detective's face with a snarl on his expression. Without any warning what so ever, the Urameshi girl punched the demon on the face, making him back away and rub the spot. "The hell woman?!" The fire demon hissed at his teammate angrily who wasn't really paying attention to him. Too occupied by the fact that she can finally feel her limbs again.
"Finally!" Miyuki suddenly exclaimed. "I can move my body again!" Relief washed over her as her eyes jumped from one hand to another.
"Tsk, you're pathetic." Hiei scoffed as he got up to his feet.
"If you say so, then why did you take me with you?" Miyuki pointed out snarkily as she slowly got up to his feet and gave an angry look at her teammate. Hiei let out a frustrated sigh before turning his back on the Female Detective. Miyuki sighed as she placed her hand onto her hip while the other rubbed the back of her neck. Silence filled the air, and it was heavy. . . For the first time in the two's life, they felt the awkwardness in the air, which was as heavy as a whale that just decided to drop by. "Where are we?" The Urameshi girl finally asked her questions. "How did we get here?"
"It doesn't matter." Hiei replied sternly, ready to go. "Kurama got captured and probably the rest of the team as well." This made the girl's stomach drop before reaching for her hair.
"Shit!" Miyuki murmured under her breath as she placed her face into her palms. "We screwed up big time, huh?" She asked the question, but came out a bit muffled. The Fire Demon heard it though and was clearly annoyed by that statement
"There is no 'we' here!" Hiei scoffed before turning on his heels and take a few steps.
"Where do you think you're going?" Miyuki demanded.
"You're staying here." The Fire Demon ordered with a harsh tone. "I'll go-." As fast as lightning the black-haired girl rushed over and grabbed Hiei's left wrist tightly.
"No, you don't!" Miyuki raised her voice as the fury glinted in her eyes. "Trying to resolve problems with strength only is a stupid decision."
"Don't touch me!" Hiei snapped at her as he yanked his hand away from the female figure's grasp. "And don't tell me what to do!"
"Listen to yourself!" The female Spirit detective tried to reason while keeping her cool down. "For once stop being so reckless, because that's what will get you or the both of us killed. " Her voice was raised up while one finger jabbed onto the demon's chest, annoying the demon even more. "We can't just barge in without thinking things through. We need a plan."
"It's a waste of time." Hiei glared back at the girl.
"And so is your stubbornness, dumbass!" Miyuki fired back as she got close to the male's face, their nose almost touching. "Now, shut your pride up, and let's think of something because arguing each other won't get us any further nor help us get our friends back." The Fire Demon was about to throw some colourful insults, but seeing the situation that it is, he decided to not waste his time with it.
"Hn, like you were any help." Hiei huffed while scrunching up his nose at one side. The words, that left his mouth reached Miyuki's ears. Words which it pulled a trigger within the black-haired girl's heart. Her eyes go wide as her facial expression fell while those harsh words took this chance of vulnerability to stab her right through the heart again. The Female Detective turned on her heels sharply with a quick breath and took a few steps away from the Fire Demon who rose an eyebrow at the girl's strange behaviour while inside a small pang of pain hit him in the chest like. . . he was concerned. . . guilty even . . . The Urameshi girl shut her eyes tight as she lowered her head. Her hands covering her lips strongly, so much so that she could have drawn blood by doing that. But she didn't care about that because many memories and years of pain crossed through her heart and mind. All connected to the one person she cared about most. Sanyu. Her shoulders were trembling, she inhales were sharp and rapid with a mixture of pained whimpers that she forced in the back of her throat, something that surprised Hiei while feeling. . . awful. . . like the very thought of hurting this human's feelings made him feel horrible.
"You're right. . . I am not much of a help. . . In fact I don't even know why am I even alive in the very first place." Miyuki finally spoke after recovering from the Fire Demon's words as her hands trailed down to her phoenix ring and necklace for some sense of comfort. The tone in her voice made the stoic expression on Hiei's soften up while his eyes widen up a bit in shock. If he wouldn't know any better, the demon thought she would just burst into tears in any second now. But to his surprise, Miyuki's eyes held no tears. Her expression was just as emotionless like before, but her eyes still held pain while one of her hand clung onto the item that was around her neck. "But I have to deal with it! And I have to keep on trying my best!" The Urameshi girl added with a stern tone as her childhood best friend, the bandana boy's image flashed in front of her eyes. The image from his last moment when he way sickly lying on the hospital bed while smiling at Miyuki brightly who held onto his hand with teary eyes. "I gave up once, but I won't let that happen again. . . " The female spirit detective added harshly as she tucked her ring away a looked into Hiei's eyes deeply, digging holes right through his soul. While the girl remained angry yet calm, the demon's expression was empty from any emotions. Soon that familiar glare reappeared on his face but instead of any snarky or sarcastic comment he just let out a small huff.
"Whatever, woman." The Fire demon scoffed as he looked away with an annoyed expression. Miyuki sighed but didn't comment anything on his reply.
"Why are you even here anyway. . . ?" The black-haired girl asked after a long moment of silence. Hiei sent her a questioning yet somewhat offended look like it hurt him that this girl doesn't want him to be there. "I mean from what I had seen last time I am really surprised you're here helping us three humans and one demon guy on a mission that probably not in your interest list."
"Hn, none of your business." Hiei said with his monotone voice. "And what about you? What got you so eager to start to become one of that child's fools?" Miyuki crossed her arms over her chest and let out an exasperated sigh. One hand however went up to her silver chain necklace and captured it between three of her fingers.
"I-" She began but was cut off by Hiei.
"Doesn't matter." Hiei quickly replied. "I don't care."
"Hn, figures." Miyuki hummed a little amused as she shook her head at the Fire Demon. With a small exhale later Miyuki's face shifted into a serious look while turning to the fire demon with her hands dropped. "Look, as much as you don't want to, from the current situation here, we have no choice but to team up." The Urameshi girl observed with her eyes closed as she fixed her hair bangs to the right side before turning to Hiei with her chocolate orbs. "So any suggestions Shadow Lord?" At the nickname, Hiei growled at the Spirit Detective.
"Stop calling me that!" Hiei snapped at Miyuki who just huffed in response while giving him a raised eyebrow. The demon boy let out a small groan but didn't say anything and just took a deep breath with his eyes closed, so he can see the thoughts he is recollecting while calming himself down. "Get on my back." He suddenly ordered as he crouched down a little.
"Huh?" Miyuki hummed questioningly, completely off guard, earning a scoff from Hiei.
"Oh, the hell of a-." The Fire Demon almost cursed but he bit his tongue because he knew time is running short and with cursing it would just waste more. "You're obviously not fast enough." The male demon pointed out. "But if you prefer on your own foot then I can just leave you here." He smugly added with a small smirk on his face. Miyuki let out a small grunt under her breath before letting out a breath and drop her head down in defeat.
"Fine!" The Urameshi girl lazily replied with a roll of her eyes. "But drop me and I'll bite your head off." With that, she walked over and hopped onto Hiei's back. Right after she had done that they sped off to the castle where their friends are being held.
