Over the 900 years, Ami had two more daughters, Sapphire (named after Water Sapphires) and Emma. They now lived with Saeko, Ami's mother, and Hotaru had 3 more kids: Her youngest daughter, Violet (named after Saturn's color), and her twin sons, Silver (Silver Millennium) and Demise (King of Armageddon.) They also were sent to live with her father. As far as Chibiusa knew, only Emily and her siblings got along well, as Crystal's siblings annoyed her. Jade wanted nothing to do with Ariel because she believed Makoto loved Ariel more just because she's the next Sailor Jupiter. Well, I could not help that; it is sibling nature.
"Mom, I know your worried, but I need a year to get to know my team. We need to train as Sailor Senshi if what happened to you happens to us! I believe I've seen and learned enough to pull together a team." Chibiusa tried to reason with her mother, no more begging, pleading, or arguing!
"Chibiusa..." Neo-Queen Serenity sighed in exasperation as they had been through this many times before. Try as she may let her better judgment call the shots, looking into her daughter's sad eyes, Neo-Queen Serenity felt more and more like awakening the new Sailor Senshi every day. Glancing up, Neo-Queen Serenity gasped, seeing the hopeful look in HER Sailor Senshi's eyes. They held the same amount of hope as they had devastation when they felt lost their daughters. Sighing in understanding, Neo-Queen Serenity smiled, "your right. I've been acting like a child. I must let you and your team try out things for yourself. If I don't let you go, you'll never learn. Furthermore, I'm sorry for letting own team and friends cry themselves to sleep every night."
"You did what you thought was best." King Endymion reinforced the idea his wife's actions hundreds of years ago had been the best choice.
"None of us think any less of you," Minako added.
"While I'll admit the Silver Crystal protected them, but still wish we could have found a better way." Rei tried not to sound like she was disrespecting, but Neo-Queen Serenity understood the fiery soldier's feelings.
"None of us could come up with a better option." Ami defended the queen's actions.
While Ami, Makoto, and Haruka had accepted the queen's idea, the others never did due to the circumstances of almost losing their children shortly after birth. Quickly, everyone gathered in the secret room, and Neo-Queen took out her Silver Crystal, using it to melt away the casings seemingly! Slowly, Trisha opened her eyes and sat up. Due to wearing high heels most of her life, Trisha walked on the balls of her feet. Her long, coffee brown hair now matches her mother's length and style, and her moss green eyes show a friendly, strong, fearless, hopeful, and responsible spirit.
Setsuna securely hugged her daughter as she never felt letting go again, but she had to give Chibiusa a turn.
"Trisha!" Tears built up in Chibiusa's ruby eyes as she ran to hug Trisha.
Trisha braced for impact and was able to anchor her heels in place to sturdy her body. Holly, Emily, Ariel, Crystal, and Christen did not do as well as they did not wear heels unless it was a formal occasion. Also, Chibiusa did manage to knock Alexis over, but the tiny soldier was not hurt. All the girls rejoiced to be together and free again. They all looked exactly like their mother's, save for height and color of hair and eyes.
If the older Sailor Senshi were overjoyed, Chibiusa felt like her shattered heart was repaired and bursting with joy and excitement! However, there was one girl who was not there. Someone, who Chibiusa had not to know, was very close to until she journeyed to the past. This girl had promised she would be here, but when and how had not been specified. Now, Chibiusa feared she might never show up, and, even if she did, what would the others think of her?
Delighted, everyone returned to the Throne Room.
"Chibiusa, now that we're going to be Sailor Senshi, what are we going to call ourselves?" Ariel asked as she thought it might be a bit too confusing if they refer to each other by planet name. There needed to be some distinction which generation one was talking to.
"Would we just be calling each other Chibi 'whatever-our planet is' like Chibiusa is called Chibi Moon?" Christen almost gagged as the title "Chibi" sounded too cute and sweet for her tastes.
"I know you wouldn't like that, Christen. So, we won't use it." Chibiusa only needed to think for a moment before she had a fitting idea! "Let's call ourselves the Neo-Sailor Senshi like I'll be Neo-Moon!"
"Yeah!" Gracie whooped.
"I like it." Crystal agreed.
"Well, better than Chibi." Christen shrugged.
"You have come up with the perfect name for your team, Chibiusa." Neo-Queen Serenity puts her hands on her child's shoulders to see the mature girl her daughter is becoming.
Suddenly, a bright, purple light flashed through the room, which blinded everyone for a few seconds! When everyone could see again, in the middle of the room stood a girl about Chibiusa's age with a navy blue kitten resting on top of her bright, red hair and a Luna-P-like toy with the navy kitten's face hovering beside her! This girl wore a strapless, form-fitting, dark purple dress which flared out at the bottom, a silver necklace, bracelets, and clip-on earrings with a single, large, dark purple gem in them each, crimson-painted nails, and golden eyes! The kitten has a silver collar with a dark purple gem on it too.
This girl smiled as she looked around, "So, this is Crystal Tokyo? It's every bit as wonderful as you described, sister and more. Sorry, I took so long to visit." When the girl spotted Neo-Queen Serenity, she did not look pleased but bowed. "Forgive my unannounced intrusion, your highness. I am Princess Jewel of the Dark Kingdom in the past. This is my kitten, Elizabeth, and my toy, Selina. We have only come to get to know my sister and her friends...well...half-sister."
Jewel put Elizabeth down on the ground, who Diana walked up to, but Elizabeth seemed uninterested in making friends as she had been in the past. On the other hand, Selina is far friendlier. And playful!
"Princess of the Dark Kingdom in the past...? I do not recall meeting you." Neo-Queen Serenity could not remember EVERY creature she faced, but she knew she never fought a little girl.
"You wouldn't have. Mom kept me hidden." Jewel smirked.
"Who's your mom and half-sister?" Neo-Queen Serenity was still confused about who this girl exactly is.
"Queen Beryl is my mother, and Chibiusa is my half-sister," Jewel replied.
"I'm afraid your mistaken. Chibiusa is my daughter." Neo-Queen Serenity smiled nervously because she did not know how this girl would react.
"And King Endymion is my father." Jewel pointed.
"WHAT?!" Everyone squawked in disbelief.
"Your lying!" Endymion yelled angrily.
"You told me you loved mom and me, then left her for Princess Serenity and even had another daughter!" Jewel yelled back.
"I never loved Queen Beryl, and I never met you!" Endymion shouted.
"You lied to and abandoned us! After you left, mom is all I had! You and those wretched Sailor Senshi came back and helped Princess Serenity kill her! I'm going to break you like you broke my heart! I hate all of you!" Jewel screamed, bursting into tears.
"Hey, there's no need for this. I think Queen Beryl might not have told you the whole story..." Neo-Queen Serenity knelt to wipe the young girl's tears away, but Jewel backed away from her in fear and hatred.
"I told her plenty!" A calm, cold, cruel voice rang out.
The Neo-Sailor Senshi inched closer to their mothers.
"Was that...?" Minako did not want to say what she thought might be true.
"Who was that?!" Gracie questioned, shocked.
"It can't be..." Ami whispered, Crystal, shuddering next to her from the sound of the earlier voice.
"We blasted that sleaze-queen to space dust!" Rei exclaimed.
"You thought you did, but she was Queen Metalia when you battled her, and mom's essence survived to possess Elizabeth." Jewel held up her kitten to show the red eyes glowing.
"How can a human spirit possess an animal?" Makoto asked.
"Explain how Luna, Artemis, and Diana can turn into humans when they're cats." Jewel retorted.
"She's got a point," Alexis spoke up.
"I'd like to give her the point of my own Space Sword Blaster!" Holly snapped.
"That's enough." Neo-Queen Serenity said sternly. "Jewel, if you want the whole story, I will tell you."
"Why should I believe anything you say?!" Jewel screamed.
"Because you trust me." Chibiusa stepped up next to her mother, tears in her eyes.
In fairness, Jewel let Neo-Queen Serenity with King Endymion (and Queen Beryl interjecting) tell her the entire story, starting from when Princess Serenity first met Prince Endymion to the fall of Queen Metalia/Beryl. In the end, Jewel had tears running down her cheeks as she found out how much of the story her mother had kept from her. Jewel could not necessarily hate her mother, but she did disagree with the way Beryl went about things. After this, Beryl let Elizabeth take back control of her mind as, in kitten form, the former queen could not keep her dark energy up for very long. Jewel used Elizabeth and Selina to comfort herself.
"I never knew how much you loved each other. Mom never loved me that much..." Jewel sniffled as Neo-Queen Serenity embraced the misunderstood preteen.
"I'm sorry you were lied to." Neo-Queen Serenity cooed softly.
"Your warm...like Elizabeth and Selina..." Jewel felt she could give trusting Neo-Queen Serenity a try, despite her mother's objections.
During a few months, Jewel spent time with the Neo-Sailor Senshi. She supposed she could trust them too. Now that Chibiusa has her friends, teammates, and half-sister back, she felt ready to grow!
