Chapter Two: "The Nightmare"
*POV: Sango*
I looked up from my book as I heard Miroku come in. He walked into the kitchen and flopped down in the chair across from me with a heavy sigh.
"Everything ok?"
"Remember that argument Yash and I had?"
"I remember you vaguely mentioning it, which was all the info I needed. Why?"
He ran a hand through his hair.
"Well, we both said some harsh shit. I wanted to talk to him, but he's gone."
"Yeah, he left for a couple days."
"How do you know that?"
"He called me and asked me to tell you."
"He didn't say where he was going, did he?"
"Not really. He mentioned someone named Mora having a space. That was about it."
"What?!"
He slammed his hand down on the table and jumped up from his chair as if someone had set it on fire.
"Um, yeah. That was all he said."
He walked over and kneeled in front of me, giving me a very serious look.
"Sango..."
I pulled back a bit and raised my eyebrow.
"Dude, you're kinda freaking me out. What's up?"
"I need you to think very clearly. Did he specifically say the name Mora?"
"Yes. I remember very clearly. He said, and I quote, 'tell him I went to a buddy's house...I need some space and Mora has a spare room'. He didn't want you to worry."
"Goddammit!"
He jumped up and started pacing furiously. After a few moments, he stopped, facing the wall. Before I knew what was happening, he was slamming his fist into the wall.
"Stupid fucking hanyou! Mother-fucker!"
He hit the wall again and I thought it better not to let him do it a third time. I walked over and gently grabbed his wrist. He pulled his hand back abruptly, making me jump and hop back. My eyes widened and I raised my hands in a defensive manner.
"Hey, come on. Maybe don't take whatever this is out on our wall...or me?"
He sighed, grabbed his phone, and turned to walk outside.
"Hey! Where the hell are you going?"
"I have to call Rin."
With that, he walked outside. As I looked at the hole in the wall, I sighed.
"I knew I was gonna regret this shit."
*POV: Miroku*
I sighed as I dialed her number. I didn't call her very often, so when I did, she knew it was important. She answered on the second ring.
"Miroku...what's up?"
"Where are you?"
"What's going on?"
"We need to talk, Sis. Now. Where are you?"
"On my way over there, actually. I was bringing Kagome to get settled in."
"Shit, I forgot about her."
"Well, I know a certain someone who didn't. He home?"
"That's what we need to talk about."
"How serious of a talk is this, Miroku?"
I could tell she was becoming concerned, she was gauging my reactions and analyzing my words, but I didn't wanna tell her this over the phone.
"Serious enough for me to punch a hole in my wall."
"Dammit, Miroku!"
She sighed.
"I'll be there in fifteen minutes."
"See you then."
I hung up and dialed another number. As the line kept ringing, I sighed. Of course he wasn't gonna answer.
"Fuck!"
I threw my phone across the yard.
"Woah! Little warning next time?"
I looked over to see Ayame holding the aforementioned phone. I sighed.
"Sorry. Just needed to throw something."
"You good?"
"Not really."
"Inuyasha?"
"How'd you guess?"
"Sango mentioned you guys were a little pissed."
"Yeah, well he took it to another level. Now, we're a lot pissed."
"Sounds deep, Man. Want a smoke?"
She lit a joint and offered it to me. I took it, hit it, and handed it back.
"Thanks. I needed that."
"Yeah. You're probably gonna need this, too."
She handed me my phone and walked back toward her place. I sighed and waited on Rin. I greeted her in the driveway and followed her to the back. As she showed Kagome to her place, I sat on Yash's patio and lit a blunt. When Kagome was settled, Rin came and sat next to me. I offered her the blunt, but she denied.
"Just tell me what's going on."
"Trust me, you're gonna want this."
"Miroku!"
I sighed.
"Fine. He left."
"That's clear. Where is he?"
"Mora."
She froze, her face going pale.
"What the hell did you just say?"
"You heard me. He went to Mora's."
"That bastard!"
"Agreed."
She reached over, took the blunt from me, hit it, and handed it back. I smiled and shook my head.
"Told you you would want it. Huh, someone saying 'told ya so' to Rin...that's new."
"Enjoy it while you can...doesn't happen very often."
"No it does not."
"What the hell do we do Miroku?"
"That would be why I called you."
She put her head in her hands and laughed.
"I'm getting too damn old for this shit."
I gave her a pat on the back.
"Come on, Sis. He's not thinking straight."
She sighed and looked up, giving me a tired smile.
"I know."
"So, we gotta think for him."
"As per usual."
"No one thinks better than you."
She laughed.
"I appreciate the vote of confidence. Fine...what even prompted this? Was it her?"
We both glanced toward the small single-bedroom house, where our newest roommate was setting up.
"I don't know...maybe."
"Maybe? What else could it be?"
"We...may have had words shortly before he left."
She looked at me, wide-eyed.
"What the hell did you two have words about?"
I just looked at her, earning another sigh.
"Me."
"You started it...then he hit me below the belt. I know he's pissed and lashing out...but I couldn't stop myself."
"I think he called me after that."
"What did he say?"
"Wanted to apologize."
"And?"
"I let him...and hung up on him."
"Fuck."
"Seems we made some poor decisions. Guess we weren't thinking too good, huh?"
"Guess not. So, how do we fix it?"
"Anyone talked to him since he left?"
"Nope. He called Sango right before. That's how I knew where he went. I tried calling...no answer."
"Of course. Just as stubborn as his brother."
"I'm glad neither one of them are here to hear you say that."
"They know it...even if they won't admit it. Well, I guess I can give it a shot."
"If anyone can get him...it's you."
"Yeah well, if I can't, we keep trying. Eventually, one of us is bound to get through."
She dialed, waited, sighed, and hung up.
"We keep trying?"
"We keep trying."
We took turns calling him for the rest of the day, but never got through. Finally, we were exhausted and it was late.
"I gotta get some sleep."
"Yeah. I think I'm gonna stay here...in case he comes back."
"Yeah...I'm gonna go home...if Sango hasn't locked me out."
"Why would she lock you out?"
"To keep me from destroying the rest of the place?"
"Oh yeah. Did you really put a hole in the wall?"
"Yes ma'am. I'm sorry."
"Boy...what am I gonna do with you?"
"I said I was sorry! I'm gonna need that fixed, by the way."
"I'll let maintenance know."
"Thanks, Sis."
She rolled her eyes.
"Good night, Miroku."
"Night."
*The Next Morning*
I sighed as I walked through the back door. The smell of breakfast immediately hit my nose, followed by the smell of cleaning products. I grabbed a piece of bacon and walked to the living room. Rin was there, laying on the couch, staring at the ceiling.
"Late night?"
She looked over and gave me a tired smile.
"A little, yeah."
"I didn't sleep much either."
She sighed and sat up.
"I couldn't help worrying all night...kept me up."
I walked over and sat next to her. Up close, I could see her eyes were puffy and red...she'd been crying recently. I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her into my side. She laid her head on my shoulder and curled up against me.
"He's ok, Sis. Everything's gonna be ok."
Rin and I didn't spend much time together these days, but that didn't mean I didn't love her. I knew she had trouble sleeping when she was away from Sesshomaru anyway, and worrying about my idiot of a best friend definitely didn't help. So, I tried my best to just be there for her.
"You clean?"
"Yes. That man has no sense of housekeeping."
"That he does not. Bacon's good."
"I know. Thanks, Miroku."
"For?"
"For being you."
"Can't be anybody else. Why try?"
"True."
We stayed there for a while, both mentally somewhere else. Eventually, we were pulled to the present by a knock at the door. I walked over and opened it. Kagome stood there, looking nervous.
"I didn't wanna bother anybody, but I've not had a chance to do much shopping or exploring. Know anywhere a girl can get a decent breakfast?"
"You're in luck. Rin here cooked...and her food is literally to die for. Come on in."
"Really, I don't wanna interrupt anything. I was just hoping you could point me to a decent diner."
"Really, it's no big deal. If you're worried about Yash, he isn't here."
"Yash? That the strange dude from last night?"
I laughed.
"Yeah, that's him."
She nodded and came in. Rin walked up and smiled.
"Good morning, Kagome."
"Morning."
"Kagome here came in search of breakfast."
"Well, help yourself. There's more than enough."
"You guys sure?"
"Go ahead, honey. It's fine."
She smiled.
"Thanks!"
With that, Rin and I left her to dig into her breakfast.
*POV: Inuyasha*
I sighed as I pulled into my driveway. If I knew them like I thought I did, they'd both be in there...and they were gonna be pissed. I decided to bite the bullet and went inside. As I expected, they were there on my couch. As I shut the door, their heads snapped in my direction. I watched as confusion, relief, and anger washed over both of their faces.
"What the hell were you thinking Inuyasha?!"
"Man, I wanna kick your ass right now!"
"Do you have any idea how worried we were?"
"Kept both of us up all night, you jackass."
"I can't believe you would even think of going there!"
"Not your brightest choice, Man."
I couldn't help but laugh.
"You think this is funny?!"
"We're not joking, Man."
"Guys, I didn't actually go to Mora's."
They both froze, mid-sentence. They looked at each other and I could see the relief kick in.
"Where the hell have you been all night anyway?"
I sighed as I walked over and sat between them. I pulled out a blunt, lit it, and took a big hit. As I breathed out, I just stared at the blunt in my hand.
"Spent the night with Kikyo."
I hit my blunt again. Neither one of them looked at me or said anything. What could they say?
"Who is this Kikyo person anyway?"
I jumped and whirled around. There stood the clone, with a plate of breakfast in her hand. She stopped chowing down on her food and looked up, noticing that everyone was looking at her.
"Um...something on my face?"
I looked at my sister-in-law, then my best friend. I could feel the breath leaving my body and the sweat starting.
"What the hell is she doing here?"
"She hasn't had much time to shop and was hungry. So, I fed her."
"She's not a stray pet. There's a grocery store ten minutes away."
"Um, I'm still in the room, guys."
I glared at the clone, causing her eyes to widen.
"I am painfully aware of that fact."
With that, I went upstairs.
*POV: Miroku*
Rin sighed and turned to me.
"You get him...I'll handle this?"
"Sounds good."
She walked over and led Kagome out. I jogged upstairs and went to his room. He was sitting on his bed, his back against the wall, hugging his knees to his chest. His head was down and I couldn't see his eyes. I leaned against the doorway.
"We gonna talk about it?"
"Nothing to talk about."
"Bullshit. Let it out, Man."
"No."
"Yash-"
He looked up and I could see him losing his grip on sanity.
"Roku, I can't."
I sighed.
"Alright. What then?"
"She still here?"
"No. Rin's on that."
He sighed and stretched his legs out, leaning his head against the wall.
"I don't wanna be a dick, Dude. I just can't do it. Every time I look at her, I just..."
He trailed off, but I knew where he was going with this.
"You see Kikyo."
"I relive it all over, Man."
I walked over and sat on the foot of his bed, leaning against the post there.
"I get it, Man. I see her, too. It's like they're twins that were separated at birth."
"It's insane. I have to constantly remind myself that it's not her. I have to stop myself from holding onto her and never letting go."
"Yeah, she already thinks you're weird. I don't think that would help."
"I'd think I was weird too, if I were her."
"Hell, I know you're weird."
"Takes one to know one."
I smiled and stood.
"I told Sango I'd help her assemble her new bed today. You good?"
"Yeah, Man. Thanks."
"Always. Do me a favor?"
"What?"
"Talk to your sister."
I sighed.
"I don't think she wants to talk."
"Dumbass."
"What the hell, Dude?"
"She's your sister. Just talk to her."
"Fine. I'll try."
I nodded and walked out. I found Rin out on the patio, smoking a joint.
"He good?"
"He says he is."
She nodded.
"Sis, you gotta talk to him."
She scoffed.
"Doubt he wants to talk to me."
"Funny, he said something along those same lines. Just talk."
"Yeah, yeah. Heading home?"
"Yeah. Told Sango I'd help her put together her bed."
"Want a hit before you go?"
She offered me the joint and I took it. I hit it, handed it back, and bid her farewell as I headed home.
*POV: Rin*
I sighed as I watched Miroku leave. He was right...I needed to talk to my brother-in-law. But what did I say? What could I say? Whether I meant to or not, I was the one who put him in that situation. I should have checked...I should have done more research...I should have known! As much as my husband tried to tell me otherwise...as much as I didn't want to believe it...I knew it was true. That's why I'd gotten so pissed...it wasn't him. It was me...I was mad at myself...because he was right. To make matters worse, I kept convincing her to stay. A part of me felt like it would be good for him...maybe even help him heal. Though, as it seemed, it was only causing him more pain and her an extreme amount of unease and discomfort. It wasn't fair to either one of them...so why did I keep interfering? Was it really for them...or was it just because I didn't want to admit how wrong I was? As I finished my joint, I sighed.
"You're too old for this shit, Rin. Just bite the bullet."
I stood and walked inside. He wasn't downstairs, so I walked upstairs...knowing he'd be in his room. When I got to the door, I noticed it was slightly open. I peeked through, watching him. He was on the edge of his bed, with a half-full bottle of Whiskey in his hand. I could see it vibrating as his hands trembled. He took a swig, threw the bottle against the wall, ran his hand through his hair, and let out a scream. There was so much pain...so much fear...so much regret in that scream. I could feel his hurt and it was overwhelming. I sighed and just quietly slipped out of the house, tears streaming down my face. I had done this...I had caused him this pain. I was supposed to help him...to make things better...and, instead, I just kept making it worse. That realization...was too much for me.
*Later That Night / POV: Inuyasha*
I walked into my house, followed by Roku. We were laughing at some stupid joke someone had made as we were leaving work.
"Babe? You home?"
I waited for a minute, but received no answer.
"Guess not."
I walked to the kitchen, grabbed a couple beers, and returned to the living room. I handed a beer to Roku and opened mine as I sat down on the couch. Suddenly, I had a bad feeling...like something was wrong. I tried to shake it off, but it kept eating at me. A knot started to form in my stomach and something urged me to check the house. For what, I had no idea. I stood and looked around, I walked back into the kitchen, then returned to the living room.
"You good, Man?"
I turned to my best friend and shook my head.
"I have this weird feeling."
"What kind of feeling?"
"Dread...like something is wrong."
"What? Man, you kinda sound paranoid."
"I know, but I can't shake it."
"Well, let's have a look around."
"What?"
"Maybe you are paranoid. Or maybe you're right. Let's have a look around. If that doesn't work, we come up with a different plan."
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
We started looking through the house...not knowing what we were looking for. Suddenly that feeling became worse...like a heavy weight dragging me down. I walked toward my bedroom, where Roku was standing in the doorway.
"Man, I'm telling you-"
"Yash, stop."
"What?"
"STOP!"
I stopped walking and gave him a confused look. He turned to me and the look on his face made me take a few steps back.
"What the hell is going on, Roku?"
"Man, I need you to go in the living room and call 911."
"What?"
My heart started pounding and I started sweating. The dread started bubbling up inside me. I swallowed hard, trying to force it back down.
"What's going on, Dude?"
"Just go!"
I wanted to listen to him...to turn around and go...but my body moved forward, as if on auto-pilot.
"Yash..."
I heard my best friend's voice...but it was a million miles away. I stood in front of him, trying to hear the words he was saying, but I couldn't. As I looked past his shoulder, I knew why he had told me to stop...why he didn't wanna let me in the room. My brain barely comprehended the scene I was seeing right now. This couldn't be what I thought it was...right? Everything was fine...wasn't it? I moved to walk past him, but he shoved me. As I hit the wall behind me, I stared at him. His mouth was moving...more words...what were they? I tried to focus my brain, managing to catch snippets of what he was saying.
"Yash...the phone...need help...go...see this...please."
That last word held so much pain. He was pleading with me...begging me. For what? A phone...he wanted me to get the phone. Why?
"Yash!"
Finally, the fog in my brain began to lift. She needed me...I needed to help her. My body moved, still on auto-pilot. Before I knew what was happening, I was downstairs, calling 911.
"911, what is your emergency?"
"My wife...she...help."
"Sir, what's wrong with your wife?"
"I...Oh God, I don't know!"
"I'm sending paramedics now, Sir. Can you stay on the line?"
I crumbled to the ground, tears pouring from my eyes, my brain replaying the scene in my room. Everything that came next seemed to happen in slow-motion. I watched as they wheeled her out on a stretcher. She was pale and her eyes were closed. She looked like a sleeping angel. As they passed me, her eyes suddenly popped open and connected with mine. The fires of hell seemed to burn within her chocolate orbs.
"You did this."
Those simple words echoed inside my head until they drowned out everything else. My world started to crumble and give way to eternal darkness. I couldn't contain the emotions crashing around inside of me...so I let it all out...in an unbridled scream of pure, raw feeling. I closed my eyes, trying to block out the horrible sight...but it didn't work. When I opened my eyes again, I was standing at the altar. There she was, standing in front of me, looking amazing, as always. Her veil was down, but I could feel her excitement. Finally, we reached the end...the part where I got to kiss her...the part where she was officially Mrs. Takahashi. I lifted the veil and jumped back. She gave me a confused look as I stared at her in horror.
"Inu? You ok, my love? Is my hair ok?"
She started nervously fiddling with her hair, but there was no need. She was beautiful. Her long, black hair was curled and fell perfectly, not a single piece out of place. Her make-up was simple and flawless. What bothered me was the line across her throat. It was pouring blood. Suddenly, she fell to the floor, holding the wound.
"Help! Inu!"
I ran to her side, not sure what to do. I looked around at everyone else. They seemed to have no idea what was happening, as they watched the stage...acting as if they were still watching a normal wedding. What the hell was wrong with these people? I looked down, staring at the woman I loved. Her hands were holding her throat, blood pouring out over them.
"Inu!"
I cradled her in my arms, trying to comfort her.
"I'm here, Baby. I'm right here."
She started choking on her own blood, trying to say something. Her mouth moved, but no sound came out. She was losing too much blood...I was losing her.. I could feel the tears welling up as her body went limp in my arms. I gently layed her down and stared at her, wondering how I could go on without her. Suddenly, her eyes popped open and she stared into mine.
"You did this."
Before, I could speak the scene changed...replaying every major moment we'd had together...and always ending the same.
*POV: Kagome*
I was sitting in my bed, looking through online ads. As nice as Rin seemed...and as much as she tried to convince me that this would all work out...I couldn't believe her. Clearly, even the sight of me was too much for my hanyou roommate. I didn't wanna keep causing him these problems. Still, I wasn't having any luck finding a new place. Anything that I could afford was basically unlivable. Anything that was decent enough to inhabit was ridiculously expensive. I needed to find a job still and my savings were quickly running out. Another move was not something I was really in a position to do...but I didn't see a way that things could ever smooth out with Inuyasha. I growled in frustration and slammed my laptop shut. I sighed, leaned against the wall, and took a sip of my wine. I started weighing my options, kinda losing myself in the thoughts Suddenly, I was pulled from my deep pondering by a scream. It made me jump about a foot in the air and filled me with an indescribable feeling. That wasn't just any scream. That was a genuine scream of a wounded beast. It held so much sorrow, fear, pain, worry, regret, and sheer anger. I walked to my door and before I knew it, I was standing outside. Did I actually hear that? The world seemed silent now. No...I hadn't imagined it. As if to confirm my thoughts, I heard the scream again...coming from Inuyasha's house.
"No! Kikyo!"
I sighed. I didn't know who this Kikyo person was...but she seemed to have really fucked the poor guy up. I knew I needed to do something...but I doubted I was going to be of any help to him. I ran to Miroku and Sango's house, banging on the door. Within a few moments, it was pulled open by Miroku. Good...just the person I needed!
"Kagome...are you ok?"
"I am. Your friend isn't."
"Yash? What happened?"
"Dunno. He was screaming earlier."
"Screaming?"
"Loud enough for me to hear it at my house. I think it has something to do with my look-alike. I heard him calling her name. I wouldn't have come...but I'm probably the last person he needs to be around right now. I don't know what's going on, exactly...but I know it isn't good. I think he needs you."
"Shit. The nightmare."
He grabbed his shoes and walked out.
"Everything ok?"
That was Sango's sleepy voice.
"I have a Yash problem. Sorry to wake you."
With that, he walked out, shutting the door behind him. He said nothing as he passed me, going immediately to Inuyasha's house. I sighed and just walked back to my place.
*POV: Miroku*
As I approached my best friend's back door, I knew exactly what was going on. It happened from time to time...usually when he spent too much time thinking about her. I walked in, immediately going to his room. As I got closer, I could hear his whimpers and occasional cries. I took a deep breath as I walked into the room, trying to form a plan quickly. Yash was dangerous to wake up on a normal basis...he was downright violent. Right now...the danger was multiplied tenfold. He was pure fight...no flight...that made him deadly. I grabbed a shoe next to me and threw it at him. It hit him in the side and he jumped up. At that moment, I felt like I was staring at a wild animal, rather than my best friend. He was on the balls of his feet, fully ready to pounce. His claws were extended, his fangs were bared, and his eyes had gone red. He let out a low growl and I could tell the Beast was on the edge of breaking free. I raised my hands defensively and tried to use a reassuring voice.
"Yash? It's me, Man. Roku...you're brother from another mother...and father."
I watched him, gauging just how far away he was. The Beast was heavily guarding him...but he was still there. He wasn't completely gone and I wasn't completely fucked. I let out a sigh of extreme relief.
"Come on, Buddy. Let's not make any rash decisions here...or do anything we're gonna regret, huh?"
He growled, sinking lower and glaring at me.
"Come on, Man. I need my best friend...I need Yash."
I could see him starting to come to...but the Beast wouldn't go without a struggle. He frantically looked around as he hugged the wall behind him. One of his clawed hands dug into the blanket and the other went to his temple. He was starting to find his way back. Suddenly, he fell forward. As his hands flew forward to catch himself, his claws shredded the blanket and left a few fairly deep gashes across his face. As he landed on all fours, he let out an animalistic howl. His eyes snapped to me and I could see him fighting his way back. The Beast let out another low growl. As they continued to battle it out, he slammed his fist into the floor and curled into a ball, letting out a sound that was somewhere between another howl and a pained cry. Finally, he was able to reign it all in...but that didn't mean he was ok. He sat on the edge of his bed, his eyes trained on the wall in front of him. His hands were basically vibrating and I could tell he still wasn't really there with me. His body was covered in sweat and he was mumbling to himself. Even though he was mumbling, I could tell he was having trouble breathing.
"Yash? Come on, Bro. Talk to me."
Nothing.
"Earth to Yash. Hello...come in, Yash."
He still didn't respond, but he jumped up and ran to the bathroom. I figured he was going to puke and sure enough I heard the confirmation. I sighed and went to hold his hair.
"You're lucky I love you, Man. Sadly, that's not the first time I've said those words to you in a bathroom. Still feels borderline gay."
He just kept hugging the toilet. Once he was finally finished and his stomach was completely empty, he groaned and leaned against the wall, closing his eyes. I sighed and sat on the edge of the tub, watching him.
"I can feel you staring at me."
"That's my job."
"To be a creeper?"
I chuckled. At least he was focused enough to talk. His hands were still trembling and he was still pouring sweat, but he was mostly coming out of it.
"Not to be a creeper. To be here for you. To keep you straight...and to help you through it when I can't keep you straight. It's my job to always be aware of you and how you're feeling. It's my job to make sure you don't repeat the hospital scene."
"You're my Demon-Sitter."
"If that's what you wanna call it."
"What do you call it?"
"Being your best friend."
"Fair enough."
"We gonna talk about it?"
"Do we really need to?"
"The Nightmare?"
"The Nightmare."
"Same one?"
"Always is. The exact same...every single fucking time."
I sighed.
"Still seeing her?"
"Just her eyes...those torturous Goddamn eyes."
He was starting to get worked up again.
"Hey, deep breaths. Stay with me, Man."
"Yeah, you're right."
He took a few deep breaths and calmed himself enough to focus.
"How bad is it?"
"Pretty bad, Dude."
"Assistance necessary type of bad?"
"We're way past that."
"Fuck."
"Yeah."
"I'll be right back. Stay here and just breathe. Yeah?"
"No problem, Boss."
I rolled my eyes and walked to my house. I quietly stepped inside, immediately going to my room. I grabbed a few things and walked back to the door.
"Miroku?"
I cringed and looked over. Sango was standing in the kitchen doorway, still looking sleepy and now a little concerned.
"Everything ok? Yash good?"
"He will be."
"You going back?"
"Yeah. I just came to grab something."
"Will you be back home?"
"Probably not, but I'll take my key, just in case. That way, you can go ahead and lock the door. You should go back to sleep. It's late...well, technically, I guess it's early."
"Ok. See you in the morning?"
"Yeah."
"I hope Yash feels better soon."
"Me too."
I turned and walked out, heading back to Yash's place. I found him in the same spot I'd left him in, wiping his mouth, his hair pulled back.
"Get sick again?"
"Fuck you."
"I'll take that as a yes."
"Take it any way you want."
I laughed and helped him up.
"Come on, Cranky Pants. I got what you need."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yupp."
He sat on the edge of his bed and I laid out the array of mood-stabilizers. He smirked.
"I guess you do have what I need."
"Told you. We got the standard blunts. Got some good whiskey, not the cheap shit. Got a little snort, since we both know you're not sleeping anymore tonight."
"No, I am not."
"We also have the Xanax to calm the nerves. And if it's bad enough, we got the hydrocodone."
"I'll take one of each, my good Sir."
"That rough?"
"It's been a little more stressful than normal."
"Yeah. I guess it has. Well, what do you say we get this party started?"
"Fuck yes."
(Author's Note: Alrighty! There we have it. That's the end of chapter two. Chapter three will pretty much pick up right where this ended. But until then...thoughts? How are we feeling about this chapter?? I know its a little more intense...but hopefully you guys enjoyed. This adds a few more details (and questions) to the story. Leave me a review and let me know! I'll see you all in Chapter Three!)
Until Next Chapter
