New chapter!! Here we go! First we've got a review to mention!! From our good ol pal MacroSketcher!!
Well, this is a surprise.
Now I see that the Welf and Mikoto thing was an exaggeration by Lili, but it's still awkward anyway.
Wiene returns to the mansion, learning that Bell and Hestia are having a baby... She won't stop poking the goddess' belly for a while, will she?
Turns out there's some sort of magical portal connecting a wall in the basement of the Manor Hearth to the Dungeon, through which the Xenos and Fels came. And through Wiene they learned Bell and Hestia's secret.
And to add to the tension, Loki arrives with Ais, looking for answers... This can only end in disaster.
Let's see how they get out of this one.
Oh hoho! We shall see indeed! Wonder what'll happen! Also yeah, Weine probably won't stop poking Hestia's stomach for a while.
Now then without further ado! Let's get this show on the road!
Everyone immediately went into panic when they heard Loki's voice and the knocking on the door.
"Hestia I'm not kidding!! Let me in before I have Aisy cut this door down!" Loli exclaimed again.
Everyone was looking at each other back and forth.
"No!! Dammit! Why right now?" Hestia exclaimed. "Bell! We can't let them see Weine or the other monsters! We've gotta do something fast!"
"R-right!" Bell exclaimed.
"What do we do Bellchie?" Rido asked as he was concerned about that he two at the door seeing them.
"Everyone hide!" Welf exclaimed. "Find a place to hide. If Loki and the Sword Princess don't see anyone, I think they'll go away."
"G-good idea Welf." Haruhime nodded.
"Alright!" Rido nodded. "You heard Bellchie and the others! Hide!"
The other Xeno's nodded as they all tried to find a place to hide as best as they could. Some went back down to the basement. While the others found other spots inside of the house.
Ray hid under the table in the dining room, Rido hid in one of the closets, and everyone else hid in other places.
One monster though had no clue where he should hide. And that was Gros.
"Damn, this area is huge, there's no way I'll find a place where that goddess and that sword princess will never find me." The gargoyle thought to himself as he looked in all directions.
That's when he felt warm and soothing air on his skin. As he looked in the direction that he felt it from.
It was an entrance way, a wide entrance with walls made of marble.
"Where does this lead to?" Gros asked himself. As he walked through the hall.
Gros walked in to see that he had ended up in a room with a medium pool with yellow hot water. It was a hot spring.
The gargoyle monster also noticed a wall woth a slight entrance. He walked to that entrance and looked to see where that one led.
Another hot spring! Gros had never exactly bathed inside of a hot spring. He had of course bathed in regular water that leaked and flowed in certain parts of the dungeon.
Gros looked around the area to make sure that there was no one else in the hot spring.
Gros then stopped into the hot spring as he stood there. "It was deep enough for him to hide.
"This should be enough for now." Gros said as he sunk into the water to hide himself. He should be able to breathe long enough.
"I'll go hide!" Weine exclaimed as she ran up the stairs to find a hiding spot upstairs.
That just left Bell and Hestia. As both were panicking.
"Goddess Hestia, go pretend to be asleep!" Bell stated as he looked at her. "If Miss Ais and goddess Loki see your stomach they'll ask questions about it."
Hestia nodded. "Alright Bell!! I'll go right now now." Hestia then turned as she ran up the stairs. Going to she and Bell's bedroom to pretend to be asleep. That way Loki can't ask her questions face to face.
As everyone had hid and found hiding spots. Bell took a deep breath as he walked to the front door.
He then opened the door and smiled.
"Hey little rookie!" Loki smiled. "Is Hestia here?"
Bell bowed to both Ais and Loki. "My apologies Goddess Loki and Miss Ais. But goddess Hestia is currently asleep. She cannot answer any questions you have."
Loki and Ais just stood there for a second. As they both then looked at each other, but then looked back at Bell.
"Yeah….sure. We're still coming in." Loki said as she walked in after pushing Bell to the side.
Before Ais followed her goddess inside. She looked at Bell and nodded. "Thank you Bell."
Loki and Ais were walking around the Hearthfire Manor. As Loki had suspicions about what happened earlier today with Hestia.
They looked in multiple rooms. But saw not much, just multiple rooms of the manor. They did occasionally see a member of the Hestia Familia. But that was pretty much it.
But there were three rooms that the two hadn't checked out yet. One was the hot springs, and the other was Bell and Hestia's room.
The other one though, was unknown.
"Alright Aisy, I'll go check out that hot spring area. Maybe Hestia's in there." Loki said as she walked down the entrance way to the hot springs while stretching her arms.
"Alright." Ais nodded as she walked up the stairs.
Loki had entered the hot springs. As she was looking around for Hestia. She really needed to ask her some questions. And she wouldn't leave until she was proven that Hestia was asleep or not around.
Unfortunately Gros was hiding in one of the hot springs. Good thing he was strong and could hold his breath. But how long could he exactly?
Loki looked at one of the hot springs but nope. No Hestia.
"Damn, where is that midget?" Loki asked herself as she scratched her head.
Forming a decision that Hestia wasn't in either hot spring. After looking in both the male springs and the female springs.
"Ah man, that's a shame." Loki sighed. "Oh well." She then walked out of the springs.
As soon as the red haired goddess walked out of the springs. Gros immediately came up from the water as he took deep breaths.
"That took some time." Gros thought as he continued to breathe. "I can finally breathe normally."
Ais was at the front of the door that led to the room of both Bell, and the goddess. She didn't want to intrude on any bedroom that wasn't hers. But Loki told her to check the Mansion and every room. Or at least every room they could see.
Taking a breathe and closing her eyes. Ais opened the door. And what she saw didn't seem to be what Loki expected.
In truth, Hestia was in her bed, with the covers over her, sound asleep. At least that's what it looked like to the sword princess.
Ais just simply looked at the goddess. Everything was fine as Ais was about ready to leave.
Unfortunately, Weine was hiding under the bed. And she was hoping that Ais didn't notice her under there.
Weine was so scared, she was trembling in fear. Weine then covered her face with both of her hands.
"Do not worry. I will not harm you." Ais stated.
Weine stopped cold. Was Ais talking to Hestia? Or could it be that Ais knew Weine was under the bed?
Weine then saw Ais get down on the ground. As the dragon girl was face to face with Ais Wallenstein.
Weine was trembling as Ais just looked at Weine calmly.
"Eek! Don't…hurt me!" Weine cried as she covered her face again.
"You don't have to worry." Ais stated. "I despise monsters, and I will still exterminate all monsters. But I will leave you, today."
Ais then got up as she walked out of the room. Not saying anything else to Weine. As Weine sighed of relief. Happy that Ais didn't slay her.
Loki and Ais met up in the main room of the manor. Right in front of the front door.
"Welp, I couldn't find her, what about you Aisy?" Loki asked as the goddess tilted her head to the side.
Ais stood there for a minute. But then shook her head. "No Goddess Loki, I did not find Goddess Hestia."
Loki sighed as she lied her head back. "Oh well, we'll come back tomorrow and ask her again." She and Ais then walked out of the manor and closed the door. It was now night time.
"Pardon me but what is it you need to ask of her?" Ais asked as she looked at the goddess of her Familia.
"She was acting strange when we saw her. Not to mention her stomach." Loki stated as she put her finger to her chin. "Gods and goddesses can't gain weight. So it can't be natural."
Ais thought for a moment but then looked at Loki. "Is it possible that she could be pregnant?"
That's when Loki stopped cold and didn't say anything. Which started to somewhat worry the sword princess.
But that worry went away when Loki turned and laughed. "No way Aisy poo! That's impossible, gods and goddesses can't have children."
Ais blushed as she looked down at the ground. "R-right. My apologies."
Loki chuckled. "And even if it was possible, we'd have five kids Aisy."
"We really wouldn't." Ais stated destroying any thoughts that Loki had.
"Ah don't be like that!" Loki exclaimed as she couldn't stop laughing. "Now let's go get drinks at the Hostess of Fertility!"
"I'm not carrying you home again goddess Loki." Ais stated as she wanted to blush at that moment.
Hearthfire Mansion….
It had been a few minutes since Loki and had left. As everyone had come out from their hiding places.
"Alright, that was close." Bell sighed. "We could've been caught!"
"Right, it's a good thing we all found hiding spots." Ray nodded.
"Alright everyone." Welf stated as he walked forward. "You can all stay in the manor tonight. Sleep wherever you can and we'll figure all of this out in the morning."
"Oh thank you all." Laura thanked them as she moved her tail.
"Indeed, thank you for your kindness, Hestia Familia." Fels thanked as Arles hopped and Helga barked.
"Alright everyone! Find a place to sleep for the night! Like they said." Rido explained to all of the other Xenos. As they all walked to different parts of the manor to find a place to sleep.
As all the other Xenos left, with the exception of both Weine and Rido.
"Weine will be safe with me." Haruhime stated. "I will let her sleep in my room tonight."
Rido nodded. "Thank you Haruhime."
"It is nothing, come this way Weine." Haruhime smiled as she walked up the stairs.
Weine smiled. "Okay Mommy Haruhime!" Before Weine ran up to follow the Renard in the red kimono, she turned to Bell and Hestia. "Goodnight Bell and Hestia! Goodnight ba-by." She poked at Hestia's little bump before she ran up the stairs.
As they watched Weine run up Rido turned to look at Bell and Hestia.
"So Bellchie, what is it we've been hearing from Weine about a baby?" Rido asked in curiosity. He knew the answer already, but wanted clarification from Bell and the goddess.
"I feel like it would be best if we explained tomorrow." Bell stated as he gave a nervous smile.
Rido nodded in response. "Of course, I completely understand Bellchie. Goodnight." Rido then walked away as that just left Bell, Hestia, Welf, Mikoto, and Lili.
"Well then, goodnight everyone." Bell stated as he and Hestia were about to finish up their day. Until Lili stopped the two.
"We actually have a surprise for you two." Lili stated as she smiled.
"A surprise?" Hestia asked. "What is it?"
"Something the three of us and Haruhime worked on in our down time. We'll show you." Welf smiled as the three brought the two upstairs.
They arrived next to Hestia and Bell's bedroom. As they were all looking at the door that was next to it.
"What's behind this door?" Bell asked looking at Welf. Who was smiling.
"Your about to see." Mikoto stated as Welf opened the door.
To reveal a room with pink walls, there was a crib in the center of the room. There was a book shelf with baby books, there was a table for changing the baby, there was a bottle to feed the baby milk, and there was a basket with baby toys in them. And a musical mobile above the crib.
Bell and Hestia were very surprised. Yet very happy.
"I…I don't know what to say…this is…thank you all so much!" Bell exclaimed. As Hestia then hugged the 14 year old adventurer tightly.
"Oh Bell! Our child is gonna grow up so well!" Hestia almost cried. But didn't want to in front of her love.
"Mikoto and Haruhime thought of the idea. So we helped out." Welf smiled. As Llil and Mikoto smiled as well.
"It was the least we could do. You two will probably need lots of help." Lili stated. "But we think you both will be great parents."
"Thank you Lili." Bell smiled as he and Hestia continued to hug.
Meanwhile at the Twilight Manor…..
It was nighttime. And at the Twilight Manor. Someone was knocking on the front door. A black haired weretiger wearing black armor on his right arm and brown and yellow clothing everywhere else. He had an eyepatch on his left eye and a pitch red eye on the left.
The one who answered the door was Bete Loga. A member of the Loki Familia and werewolf. And he wasn't exactly in a good mood.
"What do you want Yusuke?" Bete asked the black haired weretiger. "I'm busy right now and it's late."
"Listen Bete, I want my money back for that giant claw you gave me." Yusuke stated as Bete looked mad.
"Sorry but you probably didn't hear me at one point. All sales, are, final." Bete said as he glared at his friend.
"Yeah but you kinda just forced me into taking it and paying for it." Yusuke pointed out as he adjusted his eyepatch.
"Listen, your better get out of here before you get hurt." Bete gave an angry smile.
"Well listen here Bete I'm clearly not the only one who wasn't satisfied with their purchase. Like that baby right there." Yusuke pointed near the doorstep as a basket was there with a blue blanket and something inside of it.
Bete looked down at it. "A baby? I didn't sell a baby."
Inside the basket was a young baby. Who had grey hair like Bete. He was just looking at Bete before smiling a bit at him.
"Hey a note." Yusuke said as Bete took the note from the basket and opened it.
"Bete, this is your child. Next time keep your pants on jerk." Bete read out loud as he then got wide eyed. "Oh shit!"
"Now now now Bete, calm down. There isn't any guarantee that this baby belongs to you." Yusuke tried to calm down Bete before his friend went into a frenzy.
That's when two little grey wolf ears popped up from the baby's hair.
Both Bete and Yusuke looked at the ears as Bete sighed. "Shit."
