Day 12: Not Noticing Injury / Hiding injury
Gendo was surprised to notice the burns on his hands. Then he was surprised about his surprise. He'd felt the pain when he opened the hatch to rescue Rei, so why shouldn't his hands be red and blistered?
He wore gloves to work the next day. They actually irritated his injuries more than they helped them, but he kept wearing them even after his burns had healed. He couldn't have told you why, though.
Misato wasn't the only one to notice the commander's new fashion statement. But for some reason, she found herself feeling annoyed by it.
He had already shown them all that he cared about someone. There was no use hiding the evidence now.
