"So care to tell me when all of this happened?" Max asked both Ben and Gwen with his arms crossed
"It had happened when we were in high school, during the time that we were fighting off the Highbreed" Ben answered
"Let me guess, you've continued to do it since then, leading us to this scenario here?" Max asked
"Yes grandpa, we've continued to do it since" Gwen answered
"Don't yes grandpa me young lady, this is a serious thing that I don't think that you've quite grasped what is going on yet" Max said scolding Gwen
"Grandpa, it's not her fault it's mine, I gave in to my instincts and released them on her, if anyone is to blame its me" Ben said defending Gwen
"Don't get me started with you young man, there is a lot that we need to talk about" Max told Ben
"Look grandpa, regardless of what Ben says, the fault is all mine, I encouraged him and let him do it, I'm the one who didn't let it stop and the one who chose to get pregnant, Ben didn't know I removed all of the pregnancy blockers I had" Gwen said stepping up for Ben
Both Ben and Max were surprised by this revelation, Max had to sit down hearing that
"We came here for your help because we knew you'd be understanding, if you won't help then we'll leave" Gwen said
"Wait, before you go just answer two of my questions" Max said
"What is it?" Gwen asked
"Do you two love each other and are you ready for the responsibilities coming with this type of pregnancy, including what others might think?" Max asked Gwen and Ben
"If she's ready then I'm ready for anything, I will protect her no matter what" Ben answered
"I love him and I want to have this family with him, nothing will stop me or change my mind" Gwen answered
Max got up and smiled which surprised Ben and Gwen
"If that is the case then I am happy for the both of you and I will do whatever I can to help you with this journey" Max said
With that Max pulled Ben and Gwen in for a big hug
"Great, that means that you can be there to help us when we tell our parents" Ben said
Max broke the hug
"Sorry kiddo, that is something the both of you are going to have to do on your own" Max told Ben
"But grandpa" Ben said
"You said you'd do whatever to help us" Gwen said
"Yes I did and I will do whatever but when it comes to this, they are your parents, not mine and plus Gwen's mother scares me especially you mom Ben, she gets that face when she's angry" Max said shivering at that last part
"Yeah, I get that too, my mom can be a really scary lady" Ben said shivering as well
"Great, who should we tell first?" Gwen asked
"May I suggest that you tell Ben's parents first, they may be more understanding towards the situation" Max suggested
"I would go and ask my parents first" Gwen said
"Grandpa is right about this Gwen, you know how your mom is towards the alien stuff" Ben said
Gwen thought about it and remembered all the times in the past with her mom and aliens, especially when it came to grandma Verdona and cousin Sunny
"Okay, let's go and tell your parents first" Gwen said
Time Skip
Ben's Parent's House
There was Ben and Gwen sitting down on the couch facing both Ben's father and Ben's mother. Besides Gwen, grandpa Max and Kevin, both Ben's parents were extremely excepting and understanding of Ben's "changes" during that summer. Now Ben was nervous to tell them what he had done and what was going on with him and Gwen. Ben may have had no real memory of the day he got Gwen pregnant but he did the deed and now he needed to step up.
"So Ben dear, what exactly did you and Gwendolyn want to talk to us about?" Ben's mom asked
"Yeah son, what did you want to talk to us about?" Ben's dad asked
"Well you see mom and dad, I did something that maybe you two may or may not agree with but it happened and I feel like you two need to know" Ben said nervously
"What is it honey?" Ben's mom asked grabbing Ben's hand
"You can tell us anything son" Ben's dad said
Gwen put her hand on Ben's shoulder and let him know that she was there for her. Ben looked at Gwen then back at his parents before he took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
"Mom, dad, I got someone close to me pregnant, her and I are going to keep the pregnancy and we love each other" Ben said quickly and loudly
When Ben finished saying that he opened his eyes and saw a surprised look on his parent's face. That was when he realized that he forgot to mention the part where Gwen was the girl he got pregnant.
"Honey that is amazing, I am so glad you found someone" Ben's mom said excitedly
"I'm glad you told us son and I'm proud for you finding a girl and settling down" Ben's dad said
"Who is this girl who's going to be our future daughter in-law?" Ben's mom asked
"Yeah son, who's the girl who's going to have my grandchild?" Ben's dad asked
That part made Ben even more nervous, he had gotten the courage to tell them what he had done but not with who
"You see mom and dad, that's the thing I want to tell you but I don't know how you will react" Ben said
"Sweetheart, we love you for you, we won't judge who are in love with" Ben's mom said
"Yeah son, we won't just disown you because you got someone we didn't like pregnant" Ben's dad said
"I know that but this person is really close to the family, someone you know and see a lot" Ben said
"A family friend? Benjamin don't be so serious over something like that" Ben's mom said
"Come now Ben, you can tell us who it is" Ben's dad said
Ben tried to tell his parents without actually telling them, when they kept asking who it was, he kept motioning towards Gwen as he told them it was someone close
"Uncle Carl, aunt Sandra, I think Ben is trying to tell you that the person he is in love with and got pregnant is even closer then you think, so close, they are in this room" Gwen said trying to get Ben's parents to get the point
It took both of them a minute to get what Gwen was saying, they both looked around the room until they stopped and looked at Gwen. At that moment both parents realized who Ben was talking about.
"Oh my" Ben's mom said
Ben's father stayed silent
"Mom, dad" Ben said, reaching out to his parents
Ben didn't know what to do, he thought his parents would understand like grandpa Max had said they would
"Please say something" Ben said
Gwen grabbed onto Ben and held him tight
"We always had a feeling this day would come, just not so soon" Ben's dad said
"We were preparing for it all, I just never thought it would hit differently" Ben's mom said
"Wait, you knew this was going to happen aunt Sandra?" Gwen asked confused
Ben's mom nodded
"You too dad?" Ben asked his dad
Ben's dad also nodded
"Ever since we found out what had happened to you, we did our research on canine behaviors, especially the behavior of wolves" Ben's dad said
"We saw how close you got to your cousin and how acted around her, what we found in our research made more senses and told us what could and possibly would happen" Ben's mom said
Both Ben and Gwen were taken back by what Ben's parents were telling them, they knew this could and would happen before both of them did
"Are you mad at us, do you hate us?" Ben asked his parents
Gwen was ready for whatever they were going to say, what they were going to do next
"Ben sweetheart, we could never be mad at you, we love you very much" Ben's mom said
"We love the both of you" Ben dad said looking at Ben and Gwen
"Mom, dad" Ben said
"Look Ben, you mean the world to us and we are going to love you no matter what, especially you Gwendolyn" Ben's mom said
"Just know this you two, while we will be by your side every step of the way, just know that there will be others who won't and who knows what they'll do" Ben's dad said
"Grandpa said the same thing, don't worry we'll be ready for whatever comes our way" Ben said
"That's good to hear, just know if you need a place to lay low, you can come here" Ben's dad said
"Well now that you've told us, who are you going to tell next?" Ben's mom asked
"We're going to tell my parents next" Gwen answered
"Hmm, we thought you had told them first" Ben's dad said
"Why'd you think that?" Ben asked
"Yeah uncle Carl" Gwen said
"Well with the way you were acting trying to tell us, we'd figure you'd had a bad experience telling them" Ben's mom answered
"I mean, I know my brother would understand but don't get me wrong Gwen, your mom is a good gal but she can be very scary" Ben's dad said
"Carl!" Ben's mom said sounding offended
"What it's true, she's a scary lady" Ben's dad said
"That's what grandpa Max said" Ben said
"See, even dad agrees with me" Ben's dad said
"He also said you were scary aunt Sandra" Gwen said
"Of course I know that" Ben's mom said
After that the four had a laugh and Ben's mom decided to make some lunch for Ben and Gwen. As they all ate Gwen got up and began to get sick, really sick.
"Are you okay Gwen?" Ben asked concerned
"I think I'm…going to throw…up" Gwen answered gagging
"I'll take her to the bathroom, you two get ready for whatever comes next" Ben's mom said getting up from the table
Time Skip
Gwen was leaning over the toilet seat in the bathroom throwing up, to her it felt like she was having morning sickness but it was almost something else. Ben's mom would poke her head in and hand Gwen towels to wash her face with and some medicine that would help with the pain. Gwen wasn't even past her first term and the sickness just kept getting worse and worse. Maybe since Ben was a Loboan that the pregnancy worked similar to canine pregnancy or it was just a weird alien pregnancy.
"This just keeps getting better with each time" Gwen said sarcastically as she wiped her mouth off
"Don't worry hun, I'm sure by the time you get further along these things will slow down" Ben's mom said through the door
"thanks aunt Sandra" Gwen said
"don't mention it, I'm going to get you a ginger ale to drink, you stay there" Ben's mom said
"Don't plan on going anywhere" Gwen said
As Ben's mom left and went down the stairs, Gwen got the feeling to throw up again. As she leaned over the toilet and began to dry heave, she felt something strange happen to her body. Ben went to the mirror and slowly lifted up her shirt and saw something she didn't expect to see. She saw strange red dots going down her chest to her stomach, they started just bellow her breasts. All of a sudden Gwen began to feel a sharp pain before those red dots on her stomach began to burn. The burning caused Gwen to fall to the floor and hold herself still.
"I can't take it, I'm on fire" Gwen said as she cried out in pain
That was when Gwen saw it, those red dots began to turn into nipples, they looked like the many nipples a dog or other canine would have. Hair began to grow all over Gwen's chest as her nails began to grow and change into claws.
"This can't be happening, it isn't real, it isn't real" Gwen said to herself as she began to panic as her teeth fell out and fangs began to replace them
Suddenly a knock at the door caused Gwen to snap out of whatever hallucination she was going through
"Are you ok in there? I've got that ginger ale" Ben's mom said to Gwen from behind the door
Gwen was panting as she got up and looked in the mirror that nothing was wrong with her. The only thing there was Gwen's noticeable pregnancy bump.
"I'm ok aunt Sandra, I'll be out in a minute" Gwen said wiping the sweat off her face before turning on the faucet
"Whatever you say dear, I'll meet you downstairs with the boys" Ben's mom replied before leaving
Looking at herself and thinking about what she had seen, Gwen began to worry. She worried about what this pregnancy was going to do to her, how it was going to change her in more ways then one. That wasn't the only thing that Gwen was thinking about, she was thinking what she was going to do when her and Ben had to tell her parents about what was going on next.
"Let's hope they are receptive as Ben's parents" Gwen said to herself as she splashed water on her face from the sink
Before Gwen left the bathroom, she looked down at her stomach and put her hands on it. She was trying to feel for the baby and see if she could use her mana to sense its life force. Suddenly Gwen felt something strange inside of her that caught her off guard and surprised her a bit.
"This is interesting, really interesting" Gwen said to herself before she left the bathroom
Time Skip
Gwen's Parents House
After leaving Ben's parents house, he and Gwen moved onto going to Gwen's parents house to tell them about her and Ben. Both of them were hoping that they would be understanding and accepting of the relationship and the pregnancy. However there was that chance that they wouldn't be all that receptive like both of them had hoped. Both of Gwen's parents didn't care all that much for alien stuff and did what they could to avoid it and or not be apart of it.
Gwen's mom took over a month to fully accept that Gwen was fighting aliens but also a magic user. However they were accepting of her wanting to become better at using her Anodite powers and wanting to be who she wanted to be. That was what they were hoping for in this situation regardless of the plenty of differences.
"You're nervous" Gwen said to Ben as she held his arm
"I am not nervous, what gave you that idea?" Ben asked sounding clearly nervous
"You're shedding like well, a dog and I also know because I am using my powers to feel your emotions" Gwen answered as her eyes glowed pink for a second
"Hey!!! What did we say about doing that?" Ben asked being surprised and caught off guard
"I know, I know, are you going to knock or do you want me to?" Gwen asked Ben
"You can knock" Ben answered with a low whine
Gwen went up to her parent's door and knocked on it three times before backing up and standing next to Ben
"Hold on a minute" a voice said from behind the door
Just then, the door opened up revealing Gwen's father standing in the doorway
"Hey there you two, hi sweetheart, hey Ben" Gwen's father said to Gwen and Ben
"Hey daddy" Gwen replied with a smile
"Hey uncle Frank" Ben said with a short wave
"What are you two doing here?" Gwen's father asked the both of them
"We came here to talk to you and mom, it's really important that's we came here instead of talking over the phone" Gwen answered with a serious look on her face
"Oh, okay, both of you can come in" Gwen's father said stepping out of the way, opening the door further
"Frank honey, who's here?" Gwen's mother is said from inside the house
"It's your daughter and nephew" Gwen's father answered calling out to Gwen's mother
Both Ben and Gwen walked into the house and walked over into the living room and sat down. Gwen sat down on the couch as Ben sat down on the floor next to her as to not get hair on Gwen's mother's couch and anger her. Gwen's father walked into the kitchen and came out with Gwen's mother.
"I hear you two need to tell us something very important?" Gwen's mother asked Gwen and Ben
"Yes mom, there is something we need to tell the both of you" Gwen answered calmly
"Well then, both of us are listening" Gwen's father said sitting down on the other couch with Gwen's mother
This was the moment, both Ben and Gwen looked at one another as both of Gwen's parents sat there waiting for what they were going to tell them
"Well, we're waiting" Gwen's mom said trying to not sound impatient
"I don't think I told the two of you but, recently I got an acceptance letter from Fredkin" Gwen began
"That is amazing sweetheart" Gwen's father said
"Both of us are really proud of you" Gwen's mother said
"That's the thing though, I'm not going, I've chosen to stay here and take the online classes instead" Gwen told both of them
Both her parents grew quiet hearing Gwen say that"Hmm, okay sweetheart, if that's what you want to do" Gwen's father said trying to sound understanding
"It is your choice dear, as long as you are still going to do college" Gwen's mother said in her monotone voice
"May I ask why sweetheart?" Gwen's father asked her
"That was the thing I wanted to get to, you see I like Bellwood, I have friends and family here" Gwen began to answer
"You could still go to Fredkin and come here on your breaks" Gwen's mother said not liking Gwen's answer
"I know and I did think about that but then something happened, I made a choice and I am living with that choice" Gwen replied still beating around the bush
Both of Gwen's parents noticed this and were waiting for Gwen to get to the point and tell them what was going on
"Honey, you don't need to be scared or nervous, you can tell us why you aren't going" Ben's father said to Gwen reaching over and grabbing her hand
"I'm pregnant, I am pregnant mom and dad" Gwen finally told her parents with tears in her eyes
Ben grabbed onto her arm and held it tight as tears continued to fall from Gwen's eyes. Both of Gwen's parents were shocked and surprised to hear that their daughter was pregnant.
"I don't know what to say Gwen" Gwen's father said stunned
"I was hoping you would wait until you were finished with school but I am still happy for you non the less" Gwen's mother said
"That is the thing, its who the father is that I'm worried about" Gwen said to her parents wiping the tears from her eyes
"Whoever the father of your child is we won't care as long as he takes care of you and the baby" Gwen's father said trying to comfort Gwen
Ben nervously rubbed the back of his head hearing his uncle say that without knowing who the actual father was
"I'm not worried about that, I know he will take care of me" Gwen replied making Ben smile a bit knowing she was talking about him
"Who's the father Gwen?" Gwen's mother asked
Gwen was having a hard time saying it and Ben could see that, at that moment Ben stood up and decided he'd answer
"Me, I'm the father, I am the one who got Gwen pregnant, I acted like an animal and gave into my instincts" Ben answered looking down at the floor
Both of Gwen's parents sat back in silence, they didn't think they had heard what Ben had just told them
"It's true mom, dad, Ben is the father but the blame is on me, I stopped using the medicine that grandpa gave me and I gave in to my own animal instincts" Gwen said trying to focus the blame on her instead of Ben
Still both of Gwen's parents didn't say anything, they just sat there silent, not moving. As to not cause any more problems both Ben and Gwen decided to leave Gwen's parent's house.
"I love the both of you and I hope you understand that I love Ben and want to be with him, I will have this baby and I hope you are there" Gwen told her parents one last time before she left
Ben but his paw on Gwen's shoulder and walked her outside, closing the door behind them. Ben and Gwen walked down towards the sidewalk and let out breath.
"That was awkward" Ben said speaking up
"I wish they would have said something so I could know how they were feeling or what they were thinking" Gwen said as she held herself
"Let's just give them some time, them not saying anything could be a good thing besides now we've only got one thing to worry about" Ben said putting his arm around Gwen's shoulder trying to make her feel better
"And what would that be?" Gwen asked looking up at Ben
"Finding ourselves a place that can fit the both of us and a baby, also they kind of have to allow pets" Ben answered scratching the back of his head
"Oh" was all Gwen said
A/N: That happened readers, grandpa Max and Ben's parents were really receptive and accepting while Gwen's parents maybe, I don't really know, I guess we'll see later on down the line. Sorry it took so long for this chapter to come out, I had to get things in order and think about if I was going to continue this story. Luckily I've decided to keep going with this story and finish it to the end. What do you think is going on with Gwen's visions, do you think she's really changing or is it just a simple fear filled hallucination? You'll have to wait in see in the future but that doesn't mean I don't like seeing your guesses.
